A/N: Uh…hi. So there's really no explanation for the hiatus except for the fact that my inspiration for the story just flopped for a little bit. I know it's been almost a year, I suck and I'm sorry, but I'm back! There's probably only three to four chapters left in this now, so it will be done by the end of summer. Thank you so much to all of you that stuck with me through the wait, I appreciate your reading so much! Now, onwards! :)

Disclaimer: I don't own Degrassi. Or a pair of blue and pink plaid shorts.

"Come on, it's not going to be that bad." Clare Edwards dragged her protesting boyfriend into the overcrowded mall, making a beeline for the nearest department store.

"Yes it will," Eli whined like a small child.

"It's the middle of summer and all you've been wearing is jeans and that jacket that you refuse to take off. You. Need. Shorts." Eli continued to protest as Clare dragged him in, going straight for the men's department.

"I don't get why, I mean, I'm perfectly comfortable with what I have on," Eli said.

"It's like ninety degrees," Clare snapped back, pawing through racks of clothes already. "I'll try and find stuff to your liking, promise. And, if we get this done, we can go to Hot Topic, okay?"

"Fine, work your magic," Eli grumbled. Clare dug through racks, picking out shorts, mostly black, and a few shirts as she went. Eli followed stubbornly, continuously complaining about how 'he was fine' and 'wouldn't get heat stroke.' Finally, Clare was done, and handed Eli a stack of clothes.

"Here, just go try these on, okay?" she said. "If you don't like them, we'll be done for the day."

"Promise?"

"Promise, now go!" She shoved him towards the dressing room, where he began to try on the outfits Clare had picked. To his surprise, they weren't that bad. She had picked out mostly black and gray clothing, knowing he would protest anything otherwise, and everything was pretty simple, mostly button downs and shorts. He was shocked that he actually liked most of the outfits. That was, until he got to the last one.

"Okay, what is this?" he asked, storming out of the dressing room to where Clare was waiting. She had to stifle a laugh. Lo and behold, her punk rock boyfriend was dressed in light blue plaid shorts and a pink shirt to match the pattern. She had picked it out as a joke, but she hadn't actually thought he'd try it on.

"You look ridiculous," she giggled, not being able to hold it in any longer.

"You're the one who picked it!"

"I didn't think you'd actually put it on!" Clare was in fits, and when Eli looked in the mirror, he could see why, and chuckled at himself.

"Yeah, I look pretty ridiculous," he agreed. "But the other stuff wasn't bad. I actually liked most of it."

"Told you," Clare said, a smug smile on her face.

"I'll go change," he said, starting to go back to the dressing room, but stopped and looked back. "We're still going to Hot Topic, right?"

Clare rolled her eyes. "Yes. We're still going to Hot Topic."

A/N: Sorry my chapters are short, but I hope you enjoyed. :) Reviews are cool.
