Luke snickered and added a new word to the Scrabble board. Normal Scrabble he was king, but with bad Scrabble he was generally the loser. Clyde decided one day - tired of losing - to teach Luke more slang and have fun, Rani had gone along with it and somehow Scrabble became bad; You got double points for a swear or lewd word, triple points if it could be used as an insult, so naturally that's all that was on the board. Currently they were playing at Rani's house where there was quiet to be found and they wouldn't interrupt Sarah Jane's work.

They got so into the game that they didn't notice the door open or someone enter. Well, not until Gita stood right behind Clyde.

"Playing Scrabble?" She asked, looking at the board, face impassive.

"Y-yeah." Rani said. It was too late to do anything, her mother had already seen the board.

"Who's turn?" Gita inquired.

"Mine." Clyde squeaked, trying not to look afraid.

"Ah." Gita looked down at the tiles again, took a few of Clyde's and laid them on the board.

Clyde flushed scarlet and Luke tilted his head as if trying to figure the word out.

"Little tip: if you run out of words start adding -er or -ing to the end of preexisting words. You get some great ones that way." Gita patted his head and hung up her outerwear, "Anyone hungry? I could make you something if you'd like." she offered, heading into the kitchen.

"We're good." Rani stared at the board in shock.

"Does that count as an insult?" Luke questioned, scribbling down points under Clyde's name.

"I'm adding it to my list." Clyde agreed after a moment. "Right, your go, Rani."
