They collected Kira from Emily's and brought her home. She could sense something was wrong.
"Daddy are you OK" She said looking at Blaine
"Yes. I'm fine sweety. Just had a busy day" Blaine answered and led her to the sofa Sebastian on her other side
"Is Papa sick again?" She asked
"Yes. He is. He is going into hospital Monday to have some medicine to help him feel better"
"That's good. Medicine always makes me feel better" Kira said matter of factly
"I know. We hope it will help Papa too" Blaine said with a smile
"Papa? Can I give you a cuddle? A cuddle always makes me feel better" Kira held out her arms to Sebastian
"Of course sweetheart" Sebastian answered as Kira cuddled him. Blaine smiled at the scene. Such displays of affection happened so much more since Sebastian had, had his diagnoses. He seemed to take great delight in being affectionate, but only in front of a small audience.
They all sat and enjoyed watching Beauty and the Beast together before Kira fell asleep, snuggled into Sebastian.
"Do you want me to take her?" Blaine questioned
"It's OK. I want to stay with her a while"
"Sebastian, I was wondering if we could talk briefly but I will need you to remain calm. It's about Kurt."
"Of course. What's up?" Sebastian asked while still holding Kira
"I heard from Kurt the other day" He said watching Sebastian's reaction carefully. His face remained neutral. "And we met briefly for lunch today to clear a few things up about what happened at the theatre"
"What did he say?"
"The usual things."
"Care to share?" Sebastian said keeping his voice remarkable calm
"Listen I would like to meet up with Kurt, and tell him about what's going on for some additional support. However I understand you may be reluctant for that to happen. I just want you to know that if you are uncomfortable with it, I won't do it. You and Kira are my priority"
"What exactly did Kurt and you talk about?"
"Life. He wanted to know about Kira, and he was just concerned about me" Blaine tried to reason
"Did he think I was hurting you or something?" Sebastian asked still mindful of the sleeping angel in his arms
"He was. I explained that you weren't hurting me, that you loved me and it was a side effect of your medication. That's all I told him Seb, I swear" Blaine said
"I'm going to put Kira to bed, then we'll talk about this" Sebastian answered and Blaine nodded.
As Sebastian made to walk up the stairs, he suddenly felt light headed. He paused for a minute, to regain himself before walking up the stairs. He made it to the half way to the midway landing before another dizzy spell assaulted him, forcing him to sit down on the stairs still holding Kira. He groaned quietly.
"Blaine" He called trying to be as quiet as possible
He heard rapid footsteps and Blaine appeared at the bottom of the stairs.
"Seb? Do you want a hand?" Blaine asked quietly.
He had learned long ago to offer his help, before automatically giving it. Sebastian needed to feel as in control and independent as possible.
"Please" He murmured quietly holding Kira to his chest tightly. Blaine saw the fear in his eyes and his heart broke. Life was so unfair. Blaine knew that unless Kira was in immediate danger he couldn't take her off Sebastian. Blaine approached him and helped him stand. Years of jumping on furniture and boxing had paid off. Blaine had a very good sense of balance. With one hand on the banister, and one hand on Sebastian's back, he gently supported Sebastian from behind as he climbed the remaining stairs. Once at the top, Blaine then slipped his arm around Sebastian and they walked Kira to her bedroom. Once Kira was safely in bed, Blaine let go of his hold as Sebastian knelt by Kira's bed. Blaine lent over and kissed her forehead, before gently touching Sebastian's shoulder and leaving the room so Sebastian could put her to bed. He grabbed his stuff from the bedroom and got into the shower, knowing Sebastian needed that time alone.
Sebastian was sitting next to Kira's bed, having tucked her in. He realised just how scared he was on the stairs. What if Blaine hadn't been home? What would have happened? He knew Blaine would want to discuss more boundaries later. Blaine took his responsibility very seriously but trusted Sebastian enough. It was in that moment that Sebastian realised something. Blaine had asked rather than assumed he needed help Despite his health Blaine hadn't tried to take Kira off him, but merely offered support ready if required. He hadn't hovered once they were in Kira's room trusting Sebastian to put her to bed safety. He trusted Sebastian to tell him if he needed help. If Blaine would trust him with something so precious as Kira, then why shouldn't Sebastian allow Blaine to see Kurt. They had history but Sebastian saw in Blaine's eyes that he loved Sebastian. When he mentioned Kurt, his voice wasn't breathless, his eyes didn't shine like the way he looked at Sebastian. He was aware of what Blaine had done in the past and knew how long it took for him to forgive himself and move on.
Blaine needed friends outside of the Warblers. Sebastian knew he loved them, but Blaine needed someone to support him especially in the coming months when Sebastian's mood swings would no doubt appear again. Sebastian knew at times Blaine found it difficult to talk to the Warblers with regards to Sebastian and his concerns or rants. Blaine wasn't one who could handle things alone. When he did disaster would normally strike. Sebastian made up his mind then, he would give permission for Blaine to talk to Kurt about whatever he needed to. He didn't want to be possessive. He knew he needed Blaine to be honest with him, though he knew that wouldn't be a bad thing. Blaine was a great actor but he could never lie to the people he loved. He slowly got up after kissing Kira goodnight and made his way to the bedroom. He slowly got changed into his bottoms and top, wincing as he pulled his shirt over his head. Blaine then came out of the shower smelling fresh and clean.
"I've got your water and your tablet. Do you need anything else?" Blaine asked wordlessly handing them to Sebastian
"Thanks" Sebastian said taking them while Blaine sat down next to him and gently squeezed his hand.
"Do you still need time?" Blaine enquired
"No. I think it might be wise to not try and take Kira to bed if I am alone with her though" Sebastian said sadly
"That's up to you but I think it would be a wise move. What happened?"
"I just suddenly felt dizzy and so weak. I should have known my limit when I first felt weird at the bottom of the stairs but I was too stubborn. God Blaine what if I had dropped her!" Sebastian said horrified at himself "Maybe I shouldn't pick her up in future"
"Seb, you have a fair knowledge of your limits. You knew you needed help. Maybe just avoid carrying her to bed for a while. Don't stop picking her up, but say 'no' when you need to. She's smart. She understands. You wouldn't have dropped her. I told Kurt, I trust you with her life" Blaine said quietly
"I want you to have friends outside oh this. You will need the support Blaine. I know you have trouble 'burdening' me with problems and the rest of the Warblers. If yo think it would be helpful for you to have Kurt back on the scene, then I trust your judgement. I would like you to try and talk to me if you have problems. I would also like to know what you and Kurt talk about. Not details just a basic idea. Yes you have my permission to tell him what I am suffering him. I think I would like to see him again at some point"
"Really? Oh Seb I love you so much. Your so brave baby" Blaine said
Both he and Sebastian climbed into bed. Sebastian moving slowly so as not to have another episode.
"Big spoon or little spoon?" Blaine asked.
"I just, I want to hold you Blaine" Sebastian said
"No problem. If you feel ill in the night, I have out a bucket beside your bed. Don't get up suddenly and wake me please of you need any help." Blaine said switching off the light before snuggling into Sebastian's arms.
"I will. Thanks B" Sebastian said pulling Blaine closer just to hear Blaine mumble and bent down to kiss his head softly
"Love you" Blaine answered sleepily snuggling further into Sebastian relishing Sebastian's love
"Love you too" Sebastian answered as they both fell into a content and restful slumber.
