I picked up the pieces of broken glass on the floor while I have my hand wrapped in a towel. This is taking me a while since I am only using one functioning hand. "What on earth has happened to you?" Zelena asked when she saw me. I got up. "I broke the glass", I answered. She went to me and checked my hand. "You are bleeding. Hold on", she said and then went behind the bar to get some ice and clean towel. "Leave that and come with me", she said and I followed. We sat down as she cleans my hand. "Mind telling me why you broke the glass with your bear hand?" she asked. I sighed. "Drizella came earlier", I answered. She stopped and looked at me. "That little bitch? What does she wants?" she asked again. Everyone hates her. "She wants help to find her sister. Apparently, Gothel got her magic so she got powers in this land", I answered.
We both know that is not a good news. We are up against someone who has magic while we don't have any. "What did you say?" Zelena asked and continued on cleaning my hand. "I said yes. She said she will tell us everything she knows about Gothel and the coven", I answered. Zelena sighed. "I don't know about this, Regina. I don't think we should trust her", she said. "I felt the same way and no, I don't trust her either but she got a reason now to go against Gothel. She tried to kill her and ended up killing her mother. We can use the information", I explained. She nodded realizing the point. She looked at the wounds on my palm. "You know that is a thick glass. How did you manage to break it?" she asked. I looked at my hand. I am not sure either how. I shook my head. "I have no idea", I answered.
I got half an hour of sleep and that's all. I hit the shower and put on some clothes. I called Rumple so we can talk about Drizella. Gothel might be watching him that's why Drizella can't talk to him but there's nothing wrong about a detective visiting a bar for a drink. Rumple came in and sat with us. "I heard Gothel is watching you and Hook", I said to him. He knew, of course. "She's not going to be a problem. What about Drizella?" he asked. "She wanted her sister Anastacia. I believed she's with Gothel", I answered. He nodded. "Yeah, but Hook came to her place and found nothing", he said. I smiled. "Oh she's there…Gothel is just really good at hiding people", I said. That is her specialty I suppose. "What did Drizella propose in return for our help?" he asked. Just like before, everything has a price for him. "Information about Gothel and the coven. If you have forgotten, she's a member too of that cult", I answered.
"…and so are you", Rumple suddenly said. That made me stopped.
"Excuse me?" Zelena intervened.
"You joined the coven when you cast the curse", he said.
"I didn't cast the curse", I denied.
"Maybe, but your blood was used to cast it so you can save Henry from dying. Eight witches remember? You are the eighth witch, Regina so technically, you are part of the coven", he explained. I almost forgot about that.
"So whoever is killing the witches, will come after to you too", Zelena concluded. I think that might be true. I leaned back.
"Well, that just made my day", I muttered.
He agreed to find Anastacia while I will pick Drizella's brain for information. This is just like the old times. I am always the one to get my hand dirty for him. I went to Belfrey's office where she's waiting. I opened the door and saw tons of books lying around. "What is all this?" I asked. I saw her drowning in papers. "Well, you remember what I said about being a good student? This is it. I kept notes of everything Gothel told me about the curse, the coven, everything", she answered. I checked it all out and she did keep detailed notations on everything. "Wow, this is actually impressive", I muttered. It is. I sat down and go through them one by one. This can take a whole day but I might find something useful here. "Is there any news about Anastacia?" she suddenly asked.
I stopped looking and turned to her. I met her eyes and I remembered the look on them when I first saw her, sad. "Nothing yet. Rumple is looking for her. I am not good at detective kind of work. I'm pretty sure you know that", I answered and she smiled. "Yeah", she said. I went back to browsing papers. She got me juice and then helped me look for anything useful. Suddenly, everything around me started spinning. I held onto the couch. "Are you okay?" she asked. I closed my eyes and focused. "Yeah…too much reading I guess", I answered. I opened my eyes and everything is back to normal. Then something caught my eyes. It's her notes about the poison they used to Henry. "It's a poison from Wonderland", I muttered. Drizella nodded. "It was her idea to poison him. I told her we can just use Henry as leverage but she wanted to take it to the extreme and she did", she said.
I read everything about it and it's a strong poison. My mother was the Queen of Hearts and spent lots of years in Wonderland because I threw her there. I know this poison. There's no cure for it. I folded the paper. "You mind if I hold on to this?" I asked and she nodded. "No, you can keep it", she answered and I put it inside my pocket and continued searching. "Hold on a sec", I muttered when I saw something else. I picked another piece of paper on the floor. "You found something?" she asked and I nodded. "I think I know why Gothel needed Anastacia's power", I answered. I picked up my phone and dialed Rumple. "It's me. Is this safe to talk?" I asked. Drizella just looked at me. "Yeah", he answered. "Look, we found something. Meet me at the bar", I said and then hung up. I saw Drizella waiting for me to tell her what I just found out. "Resurrecting Lucy was just a test if Anastacia's power is enough to do it", I said to her. "A test for what?" she asked. "Test for the big thing…resurrecting Gothel's master", I answered. She looked incredibly clueless about that part. "She wants to resurrect Madame Leota back to life", I added.
