Chapter 6.
I felt hopelessly nauseous as the caterpillars hatched and formed butterflies as I glanced at the huge oak doors. My sister was impassive, her fine but sharp features appeared to be carved out of fine marble. While waiting for the time to pass, I contemplated if everyone else who has ever been in my position felt this way. I was so pre-occupied with my thoughts I almost didn't hear the words that came out of the fearsome, but elderly women who appeared at the top of the winding staircases. We stood just outside of what was the dining room with the hush of anxiety the younger kids were creating.
Ayah's POV
FUCKING LITTLE CHILDREN.
"Why are they staring at us?" I asked my adoring sister who had now started PLAYING WITH THEM. WWWWWWHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY?
Arya gazed up at me with her naive jade eyes.
"Because we're different to them, my darling." Her voice twinkled like newly wed's bells.
Fudjkdjssvbkj NO BITHGNVF XHJC
I nodded.
Arya's POV
Ayah's hair fell from behind her ear covering her pale face with her dark velvet hair as she reluctantly nodded to my understandable answer. A powerful voice quietened down the children chatting.
"My name is Professor McGonagall, the start-of-term banquet will begin shortly. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend free time in your house common-room. The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding wizards and witches. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup, a great honour. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours. The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting. I shall return for you when we are ready for you. Please wait quietly." Professor McGonagall stated with her aged imposing voice.
Ayah's POV
The snobby children almost shouted their excitement when the Professor; but quickly changed when the respected Professor McGonagall returned.
"Quiet down." Roared the elderly Professor, "file in to the dining room in two lines."
We watched as the unusually obedient children slowly crept into the dining room filled with anxious teenagers watching for the new students to corrupt and sway to the dark side. As we started to glide into the large room with a tall roof that looked like the starry sky that was hidden from us. The Professor rapidly stopped us from entering the starry room overflowing with excitement; ushering us aside as the anxious children walked in with wonderstruck eyes.
"You must be Arya and Ayah Light; so, sorry about the late introduction I am Professor McGonagall and I believe you have already meet Mr Rubeus Hagrid I will leave you in his care while I finish with doing the sorting hat with the first years then you will follow in after I explain what is happening with you two and then will join you houses and finish of the day like usual. Well I leave you in the care of Hagrid." She swiftly left through the large golden oak door to where the annoying children were waiting.
"Well, it's good to see you two again; looking forward to your Grand entry and introduction to the school?" asked Stashface.
Arya's POV
The moustache waved a questioning gaze to my sister and I. My sister was pondering whether or not to answer, are just ignore the large fluffy bearded man?
"We are very excited, Hagrid, but what are we going to do? Do you think we will be put into different houses? I really hope not." I answered with sincerity, and it was true, what would my darling sister do without me?
