"Henry", it's the first word I muttered as soon as I realized that the curse is broken. He got up and ran to me. I held him tight. Finally, he can remember me. He's always been close but he saw me as Roni and not his mother. Now that is over. He's back. My son is back. He then pulled away from me. "You casted the curse", he said. He remembered that part as well. I nodded. "I did. I can't let you die", I said and that part he understood. He is a father. He knows the feeling. "So it wasn't Jacinda and Henry who will break the curse, it's Lucy and Henry", Hook said. Apparently so. Henry looked around and saw Rumple. "Grandpa", he muttered and went to greet him. My job is done. He is safe.
Then Henry saw the dead man by the wall. He looked at me right away. "Mom, what did you do?" he asked. I know this is coming. I just didn't expect it to be so soon. "Like I said…I can't let you die", I answered. He then recalled what's been happening especially with him and Jacinda. He looked at Lucy. "That's why you stopped us from kissing", he said to her and she nodded. I am not feeling well but I am trying my best to hide from all of them. I am succeeding except for Rumple. I can't fool him no matter how hard I try. He just sees right through me. Facilier removed the dead man's body easily. I mouthed 'thank you' to him and he smiled at me.
Henry left with Lucy right away to see Jacinda. I didn't stop them. It's time they'll be family again. Zelena received a call from her daughter who now remembers everything. Hook left to look for his daughter Alice. I wonder if the curse between them still present around here. I didn't see Rumple left but he's not here anymore. I was about to leave when Facilier stopped me. "What is it?" I asked him. "It's done. We can leave now", he answered. I frowned at him. "What do you mean leave?" I asked again. He smiled. "We can go back home. This is not our home, Regina", he answered. I forgot how much he wanted to go back to the Enchanted Forest. "I can't…I'm not done here just yet", I said. He got confused all of a sudden. It's a rare site to have him get confused. "What else you want to do?" he asked. I smiled. "…to make those responsible for this curse pay", I answered.
Zelena left to pick up Robyn from the port. I got excited about seeing my niece again. It's been a long time. I decided to walk alone so I can see the changes around Hyperion Heights. Most people are out the streets being reunited with the people they love. Some of them are on the phone talking to those Victoria pushed outside of this town. It is really done. That put a smile on my face. "Very nicely done", Gothel said as I passed by her in the corner. I stopped walking. "I didn't see it coming to be honest. You found a way to break the curse without killing your son. It's very impressive", she said as she walked towards me. I turned to her. "I'm glad I can still surprise you", I said. She smiled with that evil smile. "You always surprise me, Regina. Why do you think I wanted you on the coven?" she asked. That stopped me.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Do you think I'll go through all these trouble just to help Drizella with her so-called revenge? No darling, I did these all for you", she answered.
"I don't think so. I think you did it all for you", I said.
"Maybe, yes…but in order to get what I need. I need you", she said. I scoffed.
"If you think I'll help you resurrect Madame Leota, you are wrong", I said and that surprised her.
"I see you've been doing some research. Well, you'll help me one or another, Regina", she said.
"What makes you so sure about that?" I asked.
"Because it's who you are. You're always going to be the Evil Queen no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try to cast it out", she answered. Then I just realized something.
"That curse…me meeting Drizella was not by accident, was it? You were behind it. You wanted her to be obsessed with the curse, that specific curse which will require me. She said it was your idea to poison Henry. You wanted me to cast the curse from the beginning. Why?" I asked.
"I can see what the Dark One saw in you, very smart. Why the curse? Well, because it's the only thing that can tip the light and darkness in your heart. You know what you did, splitting yourself in half, sharing the light with your other self, it's very tricky to work around with but I found out how to uneven that balance. Once you casted the curse, the darkness in your heart outweigh the light. I'm sure you have felt it", she answered.
She's right. I have been feeling that all along but I always thought it's because of my drinking habit which is regular. "I'm not going to be evil again", I said. That made her laugh. "You think so? Remind me again what just happened earlier. You ripped out an innocent man's heart and filled it with Bleeding Thorn's poison and then crushed it into ashes. I think that's an indication you're having a relapse", she said. I was shocked by that. "How did you know about that?" I asked but she didn't answer. "You know what we're doing and you let us. You let us save Henry and break the curse", I answered my own question. She smiled once again. "The light in you is slowly disappearing, Your Majesty. It will fade more and more each passing day until there's nothing left but darkness and when that happens, you will come to me", she said and then walked away. I looked around and suddenly I felt like the world around me is going to crash. I looked down and noticed that my hand is shaking. "No", I muttered to myself.
