The party ended earlier than expected. Jacinda took Lucy home to rest and as for the rest of us, well, we are in a major discussion. "I can't believe that you managed to still sleep with a killer", Zelena exclaimed. That hit a nerve. "Oh, come on…you're going to preach now? Need I remind you about your relationship with Hades? I don't think you should be giving me relationship advice, sis", I said and it made her shut up. I know she's just concern about me but I had enough of them going after Facilier. I know he's not the nicest guy in the world and he most certainly has a record of evil deeds but so am I. I know for sure that he's not the one killing witches in Hyperion Heights because I am one too.
Then they started talking about how they are going to capture him. I can't take this. I got up and tried to walk away. "Where are you going?" Hook asked. Now, I can't move without alarming the entire town. "I am going upstairs to rest", I answered. None of them believed that. "But we need your help", Henry said. I sighed. "If you're planning on capturing Facilier, I'm afraid I can't help you with that", I said and then turned around and walked away. "This is bad", Zelena muttered. I hide behind the pillar so I can listen to them. "What if this is Gothel's plan all along?" Drizella suddenly said. Everyone paid attention. "What do you mean?" Rumple asked her. "A dark curse was not enough to convert Regina back to being evil. Her saving Henry and killing another innocent man wasn't enough as well. She's still got some light in her heart. What if Gothel wanted Facilier to be the key in destroying that light?" she answered. I rolled my eyes. It's an interesting theory but I don't buy it.
Of course I lied when I said I'm going to my room to rest. I snuck out and went outside. Drizella might be wrong about Facilier working with Gothel but I know she's behind everything that's been going on here. I don't know where I will find her but the inkling to the dark side is so strong that I just have to follow it to her. I reached an abandoned warehouse. Why am I not surprise? I went in and I can feel her magic all around this place. She's here. "Gothel, I know you're here", I called and just like that, she showed herself. "I told you, you'll come to me", she said. I admire her self-confidence. "I didn't come here to join forces with you. Facilier, I know he's not working with you. Everyone thinks he's the one killing witches", I said. She nodded. "So I've heard. That's tragic, isn't it? Someone who's trying very hard to change but no one believes that. I think that sounds familiar. You've been there, haven't you?" she asked.
"Yes, I've been there. Now, I know you didn't just hear about it. You want this to happen", I said and she laughed.
"How can I ever surprise you, Your Majesty? You're right. I know all about it because I'm the one who set him up", she said. I knew it.
"Why?" I asked.
"Well, you know I like test", she answered.
"This is a test?" I asked again.
"Yes. I want to see how open the people's hearts in this town are. He is an innocent man but in their eyes he is not. I wonder how far they will go with that belief or if something will change their minds before it's too late", she answered.
"What are you talking about?" I asked one more time.
"I believe they are at the streets right now confronting your love. How do you think that will end up with the Dark One around?" she answered then asked me back.
I left her right away and rushed to the streets. If she's right and they got him cornered, it's going to be bad. I know he's powerful but against Rumple, I don't think he can take it. Plus, Zelena is also there. I just teleported myself so I can get there faster, but I was just too late. The fighting is already started when I arrived. Facilier, at the center of them all, trying to fight for his life. Then I saw a ray of light hit him from behind. He saw me standing by the corner and for a minute there, he smiled before turning into ash. I saw Rumple with his dagger up. He did it. "No!" I screamed and they all looked at me. They didn't know I am here.
I walked towards the spot where he was just standing. There's nothing there anymore except for his ashes. Tears fell from my eyes. I can't believe this. I lost another love again. "Regina", Zelena tried to comfort me but I stepped back. "Don't come any closer. Don't touch me", I warned her. They all looked at me with pity. "He's an enemy, Regina. He's killing witches and he would've done the same thing to us", Rumple tried to explain. "It wasn't him! I went to Gothel and it's all a setup. She was testing all of you. She wants to know if you are going to be able to see the truth but you failed because you already made up your minds before searching for the truth. It wasn't him and you killed him", I exclaimed.
I made him a promise. I told him after everything in here is done we will go back to the Enchanted Forest. Why did I make that promise? I should've just agreed with him after the curse was broken. He could still be alive right now. "Mom, we didn't attack first. We tried talking to him but he started fighting. We have no choice", Henry said but I stopped listening. I am drowning in my own thoughts right now. The darkness in my heart is snuffing all the light I got left. There's just so much pain. Gothel appeared and went behind me. "You see what I'm talking about, Regina? They're not really on your side. Just like before, one wrong move and they go after your head. Remember the time when you got framed in Storybrooke? How quick did they turn on you?" she said to my ear. "Get away from my mother!" Henry exclaimed ready to fight with his sword. "Calm down. I am just talking to her. I am not that violent unlike you", she said. "So this is what you want, it's not a test. You wanted her to be filled with hate and darkness once more", Rumple said. Gothel smiled. "I took a page out of your book, Dark One. After all, you're the one who created the Evil Queen in her", she said and together we disappeared.
