DOCTOR WHO

Medical Warfare

Pt 2

By Z-King and Lord Primeval

March 31st 2007, two hours earlier...

VOWRP, VOWRP, VOWRP.

A strange sound echoed through the landscape as a large blue box slowly materialized onto the blue sand. The strange blue box has the appearance of a 60's Police Call box.

A small man emerged from the box, dressed in a light brown tweed jacket, with a red patterned waistcoat and a black and brown, zigzag patterned tie. He wore a panama hat and held an umbrella with a red question mark at the end.

This man is the Doctor. After traveling across time and space in his TARDIS he decided to take a small vacation on the Moon of Kavroo.

"Ah, the Moon of Kavroo," said the Doctor, looking out on the landscape with a smile.

"A place just as relaxing as the Eyes of Orion, maybe even more so."

The Doctor started to walk along the blue sand, gazing at ruby mountains and the green sky.

The Doctor took a deep breath. He went back inside the impossible vessel, coming back out with a basket. Inside were the holiday taker's essentials: a beach blanket, folding chair, a map of famous tourist destinations, and a few picnic materials. Once ready, he made his way down the hill.

"What a wonderful way to spend a Holiday. The sparkling beaches, the beautiful mountains and…"

BOOM, BOOM,BOOM!

The ground shook, causing the Doctor to fall down on his face. The Timelord would have been better if the folding chair hadn't landed on the back of his head. He stood up and wiped the sand off his face.

"...And explosions?!" The Doctor cried out.

He followed in the direction of the loud noise, up on a sand dune. What he saw made him grind his teeth.

"Sontarrans," he said with a growl.

An Army of Sontarans where marching behind a large bulked tank made out of the same metal that they use for their battlepods. These soldiers were armed to the teeth with advanced weapons.

"Another world they will ruin with their war," the Doctor grumbled.

He watched as they marched out of sight destroying anything that was in their way. Old buildings, statues that represented age-old gods, nothing was left alone as the evidence of civilization was being used for test-fire.

But as he watched, all he could think of was...why? The Sontarans, at least in this time period, shouldn't even be here. According to the history books, the last ones the Doctor read anyway, the Sontaran's forces were focused entirely in the Mutter's Spiral. The moon he stood on was at least six galaxies away from the Spiral. Why would they waste their time here?

The Doctor turned his attention to left where he could see a large object in the distance. it was a multi-domed complex, with large walls outside.

"Hmm, perhaps it is their headquarters," said the Doctor rubbing his chin.

Now the Doctor could do either two things; sneak inside the Sontaran fortress and disable their weapons and somehow get them of this moon before they could do further damage. Or, he could go back in the TARDIS and go somewhere else for a holiday.

"And here I was hopping for some vacation time," sighed the Doctor as he straightened his jacket, tightened his grip on his umbrella, and toward the station.

It took him an hour but he managed to quietly and without notice sneak inside the base. it was only by sere luck that he was able to distract the guards at the entrance with a flashing light.

The Doctor looked around to make sure no one was coming as he walked across the halls. He noticed five Sontaran soldiers marching out of one of the doors and into the halls. Luckily, he dove into one of the empty rooms undetected.

He watched as the Sontarans left, leaving him to speak with himself.

"Have they gotten shorter?"

But the Doctor returned his focus to finding any Sontaran tech, anything like a monitor or a com-link device. But as he walked out of the room he quickly went back when he noticed another group of Sontarans moving close to him.

They did not seem to notice him. If they did, the whole station would be in an uproar. The Doctor took a little peek down the hall and he could not believe what he saw.

"Humans?" he whispered. "What are humans doing here?"

From what he could tell by their clothes they were doctors.

"Hmm, another reason why I should stop this Sontaran occupation," he said with determination.

"You know I really got to stop talking to myself. They say it is the first sign of madness," said the Doctor as he went into the room that the Sontarans and their prisoners came out of.

The Doctor went towards the door and dove into his pockets, looking for something.

"Now where did I put that thing?" said the Doctor. With a quiet laugh he pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver, very similar to the one he had in his fourth incarnation.

"Time to test you out now," said the Doctor as he pushed is thumb down to the side of the device. With a flick he scanned the door. After a few seconds, the doors opened.

"I missed using this," smiled the Doctor as he put the Screwdriver back in his pocket. He continued his way into the room.

Inside was a large grey space with six holes around it. The Doctor pulled out a flashlight from his coat pocket and shined a light inside. Inside it showed an orb.

"Hmm interesting," said the Doctor.

Then the Doctor sniffed around the room. He looked down on the floor and careful lowered himself down.

"Hmm, a small scent of particulars usually found in T-Mates," The Doctor said aloud.

"The Sontarrans must have used an advanced form of Transportation. That won't do at all."

The Doctor got up and left the room. He then took out his Sonic again and began to scan the halls for any signs of high-level tech.

The Doctor looked around, making sure no Sontrans where around while the Sonic beeped at a door. He used it to open the doorway and walked inside to see a large computer, with an image of the Earth and humans.

"Perhaps this is what I'm looking for," The Doctor said. He looked at the keyboards and decided to see what else is on here.

He pushed a few buttons and found information on other species.

"Well," said the Doctor. 'This could take me some time."

The Doctor cracked his knuckles and started to read the first bits of information he could find.

Meanwhile, in the main command station of the base, multiple Sontrans are either using computers to plan out battle attacks or contacting other fleets.

The main door opened and a Sontran emerged. But while this one seemed the same as every other Sontaran, his suit's color patterns where different. Instead of grey he had black colors and red replaced the blue colors on his shoulder pads and helmet. A red star adorned his helmet.

When this new Sontran entered all the others stopped what their doing and stood up in attention.

"How goes the battle!" spoke the new Sontaran.

"Perfect Brigadier General Scarg," spoke the Sontaran beside him. "The Rutans have retreated back to their base. We are setting snipers at the ready to fire, and our infantry to charge when ready, sir!"

"Perfect. Now what about our armies for the other worlds?" said General Scarg.

"Our armies set for Draconia are about ready to move, while are infiltration team is prepped to strike on Peladon when ready," said the Sontran solider.

"And what about Raxacoricofallapatorius?"

"Yes, well Raxacoporrr-I mean Raxacorisoovo-The planet is about ready for strike on command. The rest are in the prep stage sir!"

"Perfect!" said General Scarg as he walked towards the middle of the room.

"Soon men, we will make those planets pay for allying themselves with the enemy. Once they fall, so will the Rutans as a whole. We will be remembered for all of time as the generation that finally ends this war! GLORY FOR SONTAR!"

"SONTAR HA, SONTAR HA, SONTAR HA!" chanted one of the Sontarans. Then all of them started chanting and slamming their fists in their hands. Soon, all in the room where chanting except for the Brigadier General. He just watched through his helmet then he raised his hand and shouted "SILENCE!" Causing all of them to stop.

"Now continue to monitor for any signs of invasion and inform me of any updates!" Shouted General Scarg as he left the room.

An hour later, the Doctor has finished looking over the machine. He stood up, pondering.

This dose not make sense, he thought.

Naturally, Sontarans would attack other worlds only for their best interest, but these races don't want any part of their war; Peledon, Viperon, The Cyrrhenic Empire, Mechanus, The Selachian Empire, Draconia, The Adipose Worlds, The Vardan Homeworld, Krennos, Haklok, Velyshaa, The Cheleonian Empire, it makes no sense!

The Doctor's thoughts where interrupted when he heard footsteps. He turned around quickly to see a group of Sontarans and humans walking past the door. He quickly hid behind a large crate.

"That was a close one," he whispered. "Hope no one saw me."

The Doctor peered behind the crate to see a young woman walking into the room.

"Drat," The Doctor whispered.

The young lady was looking at the image of Earth on the computer screen. Then at an image of the other species.

The Doctor studied her, trying to debate if she might be a threat. But he had to debate later, for he heard the sounds of Sontaran footsteps. Knowing them, they would not like anyone looking at their equipment. Especially a human.

So he quietly walked up behind her, quickly covered her mouth and moved her behind the crate with him.

The Doctor turned her to face him, then he put a finger on his lips to shush her. The Doctor then looked over the crate to see the Sontaran enter the room. Quickly, he put his head back down behind the crate.

"Who's there? Identify yourself immediately!" shouted the Sontaran.

The Doctor turned to face the human and whispered to her.

"Now listen," he said. "Stay quiet because if that Sontarrran finds us here we are both dead."

The woman shook her head in response. The footsteps came closer, causing her to close her eyes.

This is bad, thought the Doctor. I hoped not to show myself right now, but I have to protect this young lady.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"

The Doctor quickly took another peek from the crate to see another Sontaran waiting by the door, causing the other Sontaran to face him.

"Commander Strax," said the Sontaran in salute.

"Strax?" whispered the woman.

The Doctor shushed her quietly, then listened in on the conversation.

"Solider, you are suppose to be in the shooting station practicing your firearms. This room is not your station!" Shouted Strax in authority.

"I know sir, but I heard someone in here so I investigated," spoke the Sontaran.

Strax entered the room, turned both directions, then back at the solider.

"I see no one here. Your hearing must be faulty, a lot of faulty clones are popping up from what I hear. Now go to the shooting station or you will be the shooting dummy!" commanded Strax. Both he and the Sontaran left the room altogether.

The Doctor waited for any more footsteps, but when he could hear none. He stood up and walked away from the crate.

"Well that was a close one don't you think?" said the Doctor facing the woman who just stood up.

"Oh, almost forgot," said the Doctor, walking up to the computer.

The Timelord started typing the buttons rapidly.

The woman stood up, staring at the Doctor as he kept on typing.

"Now you see it," said the Doctor as the computer flashed multiple images. He pushed one more button, then all the images disappeared.

"Now you don't," smiled the Doctor. "It will take them nearly a couple of years to reboot this system, don't you think?"

The women just stared at the Doctor. She slowly walked up to him and poked him on the chest.

The Doctor raised an eyebrow at this and was surprised when she pinched her arm.

"Okay, so I'm not seeing things then am I?" asked the woman.

"No," said the Doctor rather confused. "I don't think so..."

"Oh Good. In that case…HOW DID YOU GET HERE?!" the Women shouted.

The Doctor quickly shushed her. "Quiet now! Calm yourself down and I'll explain lat.."

"I am not calming down!" the women interrupted. "Now listen, you're going to tell me who you are and how did you get here? When? And why did I not see you with the others?!"

Obviously, this young lady is not going to wait around for answer so the Doctor thought Might as well get to the point.

"Ok," the Doctor groan in annoyance. "To start things up, my name is The Doctor."

"Doctor who?" asked the woman.

"Just the Doctor will do," He said. "And your name?"

"Martha Jones," she said.

The Doctor then walked up to her and shook her hand.

"Pleasure to meet you Martha Jones," he said calmly, "now to answer you second question; I came here in my own ship for a holiday and I did not expect to see a Sontaran armada marching across the ground and…"

"Wait a minute!" said Martha Jones, interrupting the Doctor. "What do you mean your own ship?"

"Just as I said, I came here on my own ship," repeated the Doctor.

Martha laughed a little. "But that would mean you're an alien too."

"Well I am," Smiled the Doctor.

Martha just looked at the Doctor.

"Really?" she said.

"Rrreally," said the Doctor, rolling his r's.

"I don't believe you." she said sternly.

The Doctor sighed.

"Well, what were you expecting?" he said, irritated. "Antennae? Tentacles? A big frothing Prrrroboscis? I swear, human imagination is so limited. I blame your cinema."

"Well forgive me, but you look pretty human." she said, trying to apologize.

"You look very Timelord to me." he said. "Will that clear things out?"

"If it makes you feel better," she said, "You're not the strangest thing I've met today."

"Well, the day's not over yet, Martha," said the Doctor. "Now I have to figure out how to get you and the rest of the humans out of here without the Sontarans knowing."

"What...why... I mean, why help us?" said Martha.

"Because no one should be forced into a war that they have no part of," said the Doctor, with a determined look on his face he then faced Martha.

"I could use your help you know. One Doctor to another."

"Well I'm not a Doctor yet," said Martha.

"Either way, you want to get off this rock and back to your own don't you?" asked the Doctor.

"Well of course I do, but can you really get us all out of here?" asked Martha not sure if this man could do anything to those muscular aliens.

"Just trust me, I know what to do," said the Doctor as he walked to the door. He checked the hallway, then walked back to Martha.

"Umm...you would not happen to know which way the Sontarans where taking you and the rest?" said the Doctor, rubbing his neck in embarrassment.

Martha sighed, "This is just not my day."

She went in front of him and both carefully made sure no one was watching them.

But as they left, they where watched by Blake, who managed to separate himself from the rest of the group. He stood alone by a wall and closed his eyes.

"Sir, we have discovered the Doctor. He is here, what must I do?" he said to himself.

Blake stood there as if someone was talking to him in his mind.

"We understand. If the Doctor proves to be a threat to the mission then he must be dealt with at once," said Blake as he opened his eyes to show it was completely green.

"For the good of the Rutan host, the Doctor must be stopped."

To be continued...
