DOCTOR WHO

Medical Warfare

Pt 4

By

Z-King and Lord Primeval

"No."

Martha stared at the Doctor with wide eyes and an open mouth of disbelief, while the Rutan in Sontaran skin raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Really Doctor?" asked the Rutan/Sontaran. "You will let us continue with our plans?"

The Doctor moved closer the Rutan/General Scarg.

"Only if you release the humans, I want all the slave races out of this plot. Understood?" said the Doctor, glaring at the Rutan.

The Rutan/Sontaran did not answer. He walked over to a console on the wall and pushed a button, activating the speaker.

"Attention to all Sontarans, attention! This is the Brigadier General Scarg issuing new orders. The humans are no longer needed! They are to be returned to the planet Earth unharmed! and as for the Doctor…."

The Rutan paused as it turned to face the Doctor and Martha. While Martha was looking at both the Rutan and the Doctor, The Doctor was just staring at the Rutan with his eyes narrowed.

The Rutan then continued. "…The Doctor will be left alive. He is no longer a threat to the Sontaran Empire. I repeat: the humans are to be returned to Earth unharmed and the Doctor will be left alive. Scrag out."

The Rutan turned to the Doctor.

"It is done."

"And how should I know you'll keep your word?" asked the Doctor.

"A Sontaran never disobeys an order from a superior officer, Doctor," said the Rutan.

"But if you try anything else to stop our plans you and your companion will die."

The Doctor nodded. "I understand. By the way, you said something about another use for the humans. What was it?"

The Rutan said. "If the Sontarans would suspect of any of our agents in their ranks, we send a video signal to the Shadow proclamation."

"Ah I see," smiled the Doctor. "So when they find out the Sontrans have been taking alien natives off their world without permission, they would send the Judoons to take them back and then clean up your mess."

The Doctor's smiled faded. "It seems the Rutans are become as clever as a Dalek."

"Or as clever as you, Doctor." The Rutan responded.

The Doctor said nothing to the Rutan. He motioned Marth with his umbrella to follow him out of the room.

As Martha carefully followed the Doctor the Rutan said, "Remember, Doctor. Any signs of your interfering will be you doom."

The Doctor stood facing the doors and said without looking back, "As long as the humans leave safely, you won't have any trouble. Come along Miss Jones."

And just like that, both the Doctor and Martha left the room leaving the Rutan/Sontran to go to the controls to make sure the Doctor kept his word.

Meanwhile…

Alex and the others were carefully walking down the halls, trying to find the transporter room.

Alex stopped the group at the end of the hall once he noticed two Sontrans guarding a room. He turned to the others and said. "Okay, there are two Sontarans guarding the path ahead."

"Alex didn't you hear that announcement? They're letting us go! I think we should just go now while they are letting us," said Ade, wanting to leave.

Alex turned back to her. "I know, but what about Martha? What happened to her? And what about that Rutan? What did it do with Blake? Shouldn't we know what happened to them first?"

"Maybe Martha heard the announcement and left already," said Doctor Lance. "And perhaps the Sontrans got rid of the Rutan and took Blake to that teleporter thing."

"But we don't know that for sure. And until I see them I'm not trusting anything those walking potatoes say," said Alex.

"Walking potatoes with guns, Alex," said Suki "Let us not forget that. But I agree with you. And besides, maybe there is something they don't want us to see in there."

"Right. So here is what we are going to do…" Said Alex preparing a plan.

Meanwhile back with The Doctor and Martha

Martha was walking behind the Doctor, trying to figure him out. Obviously she knows the Doctor has a past with the Sontarans, and from what she could gather from the forced information the Sontrans put in her brain he has beaten them. But never killed them. So why…?

Her train of thought stopped when she and the Doctor heard a groan coming for the other side of the hall. They followed the sound to find Strax; alive but limping.

"Strax! You're alive!" said Martha running towards him.

"Of course I am alive, Martha Jones," said Strax with a moan of discomfort. "You didn't think a mere shock from a Rutan scum would kill a Sontaran warrior, did you?"

"Seems these Sontrans are more rresalent to the Rutans self-produced electricity this time around," said the Doctor then he shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well. Come on Martha, we have to get you and your bretherrren home to Earth Rrright away."

"I'm not going." Martha said in a stern tone.

The Doctor stopped and turned around to see Martha helping Strax to lean against the wall.

"What do you mean you're not going?" said The Doctor confused.

"Strax is hurt. I have to get him to the medical ward fast," said Martha.

"Bah! I do not need to be checked on, Martha Jones. I am fine!" said Strax standing straight up only to fall down face first on the floor.

Martha quickly helped him up.

"Besides," he continued, "I must inform my comrades about the Rutan filth posed as the General!"

"I know, Strax," Martha said while helping Strax to softly lean against her for support. "But first we have to get you checked on. Then we can warn the others. We don't want you passing out in front of your superiors now do we?"

The Doctor could not believe what he was seeing. Someone was actually, with their own free will helping a Sontran.

"What?! Have you forgotten that the Sontrrans kidnaped you and your fellow humans and forced you to be in their war?" said the Doctor.

"I know that, but I'm going to be a Doctor someday. I have to help anyone who needs medical attention, no matter who they are or what they have done," said Martha. "I have to take an oath about that."

"But you don't know how much pain and death the Sontrans have caused in their war with the Rutans, Martha," said the Doctor, trying to make Martha see sense.

"They are following orders!" she yelled, "And what about the Rutans Doctor? Don't tell me they don't do the same thing too. And that talk about humans not being part of their war well what about you? You're allowing the Rutans to wipe hundreds of species out."

The Doctor sighed. "You don't understand, Martha Jones. True the Rutan host are as bad as the Sontrans, but the Sontrans do more damage. I have faced the Sontrans as much as I face any other threat and I've seen what they can do. And right now, the Rutans have a plan to finally end it all."

"But does that still make it right?" said Martha.

There was silence between the two and the only sound made was the groans made by Strax.

Martha sighed and said. "I understand that you have faced the Sontrans before, but can you really condemned them to this? Letting them unwillingly walk into a trap? Well I'm not going to allow this, because I'm going to be a doctor someday, and I hope when I do I won't become one like you."

Martha walked to the direction of the medical bay while holding onto Strax, leaving the Doctor standing in the hallway alone with his thoughts.

Meanwhile, back with the Rutan/Sontran, it had just returned to the main command center with its helmet back on.

"Sir," said Commander Scorve. "Is it wise to allow the Doctor and the humans to leave?"

"We no longer need the humans, Commander Scorve," Said the Rutan/Sontaran. "And as for the Doctor, his only concern is for the humans. It is quite a sacrifice of resources, but worth it to get him off our backs."

"Yes, sir, but the humans have not been gathered back to the T-mat," said Scorve.

"What?!"

"Activate the screen!" commanded Scorve.

The main screen showed two images. One that shows Alex and the group over two knocked out Sontranas.

"I can't believe that Rutan bluff worked again," said Ade on the image.

"Right now lets get this thing opened," said Alex.

Then the second image showed Martha helping Strax to an operating table.

"For the last time, Martha Jones, I do not need to be looked on!" shouted Strax.

"Just wait a minute, I'll be done soon," said Martha activating the system.

"Freeze the images!" commanded the Rutan/Scarg. "What of the Doctor?

Then a third image showed the Doctor, still in the same spot where Martha left him but now he was pacing himself back and forth.

"He has been like this for a while, what should we do, Genreal?" asked Scorve.

The Rutan/Scarg stared at the images in thought.

"If that human female heals Strax then our cover will be blown, and the humans might cause damage to the transport project! And as for the Doctor…"

"Sir?" asked Scorve again.

"Take a small squad and get the humans away from the T-mat project," commanded Scarg/Rutan. "And as for Strax, he is a defective clone. He and the human female with him must be destroyed at once. Order a solider to kill them both discreetly, we don't want a certain Timelord to catch wind."

"Yes, sir but what about the Doctor?"

"If he gets in the way, order the men to shoot him down."

Meanwhile, the Doctor is facing his greatest challenge yet.

Arguing with himself.

"What was I thinking, allowing this to happen?" he said.

"It's not your problem, the Sontrans had this coming." The Doctor argued.

"But this is still not right."

"There was no complaining when Skaro was destroyed."

"Because the Daleks are completely different from the Sontrans!"

The Doctor has been going on like this since Martha left his sight. He has done nothing but argue if he should stay and stop the Rutan's plan or just let it be.

"I was supposed to be on Holiday, I was not trying to get myself involved!"

"And yet, here you are doing it again."

The Doctor paused. And with a groan he grabbed his hat, threw it to the ground and grabbed his hair.

"And here I am talking to myself again!" he groaned. "This is getting me nowhere, Ace help me out!"

The Doctor turned to find no one there. His eyes widened for a bit, then his expression turned to a soft sad face.

"I forgot. Just me now, alone," sighed the Doctor as he picked his hat from the ground.

He looked to the direction where Martha left.

"Never crude or cowardly," he mumbled that age old promise. Had it really been this long since he made that vow?

The Doctor took a deep breath and said. "Martha Jones why do you have to be so…human."

He tightened his grip on his umbrella and walked the direction Martha went.

Meanwhile…

Inside the medical bay Martha had just finished fixing up Strax.

"Okay. Everything looks alright, but I think its best you should lie down, Strax," said Martha.

"What?! And let that Rutan scum lead my comrades to their deaths? Foolish!" shouted Strax slowly standing up. "Besides, I feel better all ready," he said, then winced as he held his sides. "Just a flesh wound."

"If only that Doctor guy could help us," said Martha sourly.

"The Doctor? Bah!" laughed Strax. "He sooner would have my people dead then to aid them. Martha Jones, The Doctor has never helped the Sontrans in the history of our race."

"And soon he will join you both in death."

Martha and Strax turned fast to see a Sontran soldier standing in the door way with blaster in hand. Martha raised her hand up while Strax tried to stood up right.

"Ah, soldier it is about time you got here. Take me to the Commander bridge at once!" command Strax. "I have urgent news about-"

"Strax I don't think he's here for that," said Martha.

"Now don't be foolish, Martha Jones, you are only scared that he might shoot you," said Strax.

"Correct. But I am also here to shoot you too, Strax," said the soldier lifting his weapon.

"What?!" said Strax.

"By order of Brigadier General Scarg, you and the human female are to die for the glory of the Sontaran em- AAAAAAAAAAAAARG!"

The soldier fell down face first, showing the Doctor standing behind him.

"Doctor?!" said both Martha and Strax.

"Well, who did you think it was, Sherlock Holmes?" said the Doctor smugly.

Martha stared open mouthed at the Doctor standing over the fallen Sontran.

"How did you-?"

"Well, if you paid any attention to the information the Sontrans placed into your brain, you would rrremembered about the probic vent on the back of their necks," the Doctor said as he tapped the back of the Sontran's neck with his umbrella. "All I had to do was poke it with the tip of my umbrella and down he went. That's why Sontrans always face front, it is one of their many weakness."

"It is not!" Strax argued. "It is a matter of honor!"

The Doctor rolled his eyes and said. "We can argue about this later, right now we have a Rutan to expose."

"What happened to not stopping the Rutan's plans?" asked Martha.

The Doctor faced Martha and lowered his head.

"I've been thinking a lot about what you said, and it made me remember when I was a child. I wanted to be a doctor too. If my younger self saw me right now, he would be heartbroken."

The Doctor raised his head and looked at Martha.

"And I think it's time to be the Doctor I should be. Care to help?" he said, holding his left hand out.

Martha looked at the hand and at the Doctor. She grabbed it with a smile.

"There is no time for speeches!" shouted Strax standing up from the table. "We must head the command bridge at once!"

Martha gasped. "Wait, what about the rest of the doctors here?"

The Doctor tapped his hand on the end of the umbrella in thought. "Hopefully they were escorted to the transporter room and back on Earth by now."

Meanwhile, back with the group...

"Have you opened those blasted doors yet?" asked a nervous Doctor Lance, guarding the two knocked out Sontarans.

"Almost got it, I think," said Alex as he tried to use the gun to bang the door open. Ade and Suki were on the lookout for any oncoming soldiers.

"Well you better hurry! I don't know how long these two will be knocked out." said Doctor Lance.

Alex sighed, then he got an idea.

"Maybe I can blast the door down," he said getting ready to fire.

"Wait!" shouted Suki walking up to the door.

She studied it and noticed a hand print on the side. The print had a three finger pattern on it. Suki raised her thumb and performed a perfect Spock hand. She planted her hand on the screen, causing the door to open.

Alex stared at Suki in shock.

"Well I could have figured it out," Alex said embarrassed.

"Less talking, more moving 'cause we got company!" shouted Ade as five Sontarans appeared from the other side of the hall. Thankfully, the human doctors got inside just as the soldiers opened fire. Suki managed to close the door just in time.

Inside the room was a command console with a flat square surface with a cylinder control panel attached at the end. Suki walked up to the panel.

"Careful Suki! We don't know what it might do," said Doctor Lance.

Suki carefully pushed a few buttons and realized somthing.

"It's a transporter!"

"How do you know that?" asked Ade.

"From what I can tell this device is supposed to transfer not only people, but advanced weapons to any planet in any galaxy," said Suki.

"Wait, how can you know all that from this?" asked Alex.

"It's my job to study alien tech," she answered.

The whole group was silent at that response.

"You're not just a doctor are you, young lady?" said Doctor Lance.

Without looking away from the panel, Suki pulled a badge from her coat pocket.

"Doctor Suki Yamato, agent of UNIT. We were detecting signs of alien activity in different locations on earth and I got caught in the middle of it."

She put the badge back inside her coat and looked at the group.

"Now that the Doctor is here, perhaps we can wreck whatever plans the Sontranas might have for us."

"So wait, you work for some organization that deals with aliens?" asked Ade.

"Yes," said Suki.

"Well after today I'll believe anything," said Alex. "So, agent Suki what should we do?"

"Doctor Suki please Alex. And right now I'll figure out how to disable this device while the rest of you guard the doors," said Suki.

Back at the command base, General Scarg/Rutan watched the whole thing from the screen.

"Order the men not to enter, the machine must not be harmed at all costs!" ordered Scarg/Rutan.

"Do not worry, General my men will not fire on the machine," said commander Scorve. "They will only fire on the humans and…"

"Don't be a fool!" shouted Scarg/Rutan causing Scorve to twitch. "We-I will not risk the transporter to you men!"

"Ah be careful, you almost slipped again."

All eyes turned to the Doctor with Martha and Strax by his side.

"The Doctor is in the command room!" shouted a Sontaran.

"All weapons aimed at Doctor and his associates now!" shouted Commander Scorve,

"Do not move, Doctor," Scorve shouted, "or you, the human, and the defective clone will all die!"

"You dare call me defective, Scorve!?" shouted Strax. "Come here and say that to my face like a man!"

"Don't encourage him," The Doctor snapped.

"You're sure this is a good idea now, Doctor?" whispered Martha feeling unease.

"Don't worry. Just trust me," said the Doctor with a wink.

"So Doctor, you decided not to leave as you had promised," spoke Scarg/Rutan.

"I made no such promise. I made a bad call but I didn't promise," spoke the Doctor.

"Besides, you said you would let the humans go and yet there they are," The Doctor said pointing at the screen. "And it seems they are in a room you don't want them to be in…a new transport room?"

"That is none of your concern, Time Lord!" shouted Commander Scorve.

"Now now, let us not be rude Commander. The Doctor will die soon. Let us answer his final question," said Scarg/Rutan. "If you must know, Doctor we are working on a Massive-transport device that will jump entire legions to multiple planets simultaneously. Instead of jumping from planet to planet, we can have armies pop onto targeted worlds at the same. Our enemies will fall at our sheer numbers and controlled strategies, and we will have our victories all at once!"

"Victories for the Rutans!" shouted Strax. "My fellow soldiers, this is not Brigadier General Scarg; this is a Rutan in disguise!"

All the Sontrans looked at each other and then to Scarg/Rutan.

"Do not listen to him! He is a defective, a traitor, and a fool!" shouted Scarg/Rutan. "How many times has this unintelligent fool messed up our plans, how many times has his existence brought us nothing but aches!"

"Sorry, are you talking about him or me?" asked The Doctor stepping in. "And yes Strax is a fool."

"Hey!" shouted Strax.

"But he is a fool who is rrright!" said the Doctor. "This Rutan has killed the real General Scarg and took his place! And I bet his is not the only Rutan who has taking the form of a higher rank Sontaran. It is a plan to trick the Sontarans into gaining more enemies so that the Rutan host can have more allies!"

Commander Scorve raised an eyebrow in thought.

"Ha, do not try to insult me by thinking that I am a Rutan Doctor. Besides, you have no proof," boosted Scarg/Rutan.

"Are you sure about that?" said the Doctor.

The Doctor put his umbrella down, then he pulled his shirt sleeves down and pulled them back up.

"What are you doing?" hissed Martha.

"Doing a magic trick," smiled the Doctor, leaving Martha with a shocked face.

"As you can all tell, nothing up my sleeves. But wait, what's in here?" asked the Doctor while putting his right hand down his left sleeve and pulling out a hand size box.

"What is that?" said Scarg/Rutan.

"This little device in my hand is called the RT," said the Doctor.

"And what is this RT, a bomb?"

"Nope it's short for rrretro tap rrrrecorder," smiled the Doctor. "Let's take a listen shall we?"

The Doctor pushed a button on top of the device.

"When is a Sontarran not a Sontarran?...Answer: When it is a Rrrutan!"

"How did you know?"

Scarg/Rutan was shocked. This was the conversation it and the Doctor had. He recorded the whole conversation.

The Doctor smiled. "Why don't I skip a few bits."

He pushed down on another button, then pushed the one next to it continuing the recorder.

"Imagine it, Doctor; The Draconians, the Undovi, the Krillatanes, Judoon, Adipose, Kefri, Sycorax, all those powerful races with a fear and hatred for one enemy. The Sontarans will be out matched and out gunned. And the Sontaran scum are none the wiser."

Commander Scorve's eyes widened. Then he gave a soft growl and tightened his grip on the blaster while the other Sontarans turned their heads to Scarg/Rutan.

Strax laughed at the false Sontaran while Martha was hoping that the other Sontarans now believe the Doctor. And hopefully when this is over they won't shoot them.

The Doctor turned off the recorder.

"Well I hope we all learned something today."

Scarg/Rutan looked at all the Sontarans. It saw how they stared at it, it saw a mixture of confusion and anger.

"Are you all fools? Can't you see the Doctor is playing a trick!" Scar/Rutan shouted. "Kill him and his companions now!"

But no one moved. Scorve turned to face Scarg/Rutan and spoke.

"Sir in light of this let me ask you to take your helmet off, Sir,"

"What? I will do no such thing!" shouted Scarg/Rutan.

"Won't bother catching your speech now, they are not as stupid as you think, Mr Rrrutan," smiled the Doctor.

"I gave you an order Commader! Kill the Doctor now!"

Scorve took a step closer and raised his blaster to Scar/Rutan's face.

"Take. Off. The helmet, Sir," Scorve said putting a tone at the end of his speech.

The Rutan noticed all the Sontarans moving in now. It then stared at the Doctor. His face showing victory. He will pay for this.

"No more games," the Rutan whispered. It thrust its hands forward, letting out a burst of lighting from its hands, knocking all the Sontarans, The Doctor, Martha, and Strax to the floor. Finally it transformed from Sontaran to its true Rutan form.

"It is a Rutan!" shouted a Sontaran.

"See, I told you!" shouted Strax, getting back up.

"It will pay for this deception!" shouted Scorve.

The Rutan quickly went to one of the control panels and pushed some buttons.

The Doctor helped Martha up as Scorve started to shoot the Rutan.

As soon as the Rutan pushed the final button, it was hit by one of Scorve's blasts.

"It is too late! Our soldiers are coming now, and you will all dieeeeeee," spoke the Rutan as it finally died.

"Not as long as we still breathe," said Commander Scorve. He then turned to the Doctor and walked up to him.

The Doctor pulled Martha behind him as he stared back at Scorve. Scorve put his right fist onto his chest.

"You are not an enemy today Doctor, you have earned the entire Sontaran 300 division's respect."

Then all the Sontarans, including Strax, followed Scorve's pose.

"Well this is new," said the Doctor, not being used to a Sontaran salute.

"Look the screen," said Martha pointing at the image were the human doctors were.

"The transporter device!" the Doctor said looking at the machine.

"Hey what's going on here, Suki?" asked Alex in the image.

"I don't know! The machine has just been activated," said Suki.

The Doctor quickly ran to the control panel the Rutan was using. He tried to turn the device off, but it seems the Rutan locked the machine.

The Doctor walked up to Scorve. "The Rutan locked the device, it is getting ready to transport an army of Rutans. You have to order your men to get the humans out of there!"

Scorve nodded and activated the coms.

"All Sontaran soldiers listen up! A Rutan armada is getting ready to appear form the experimental transporter room! Your orders are to get the humans out of here and fire all weapons on the Rutans! For the glory of Sontar!"

The Doctor nodded as he walked back between Martha and Strax.

"Strax, you have to help us gather the human doctors and get them back to the other transporter room and back to Earth."

"And miss the battle?" said Strax. "You must be joking. There is no way I will miss a battle as grand as…"

Martha then went in front of the Strax.

"Please, Strax just do this and you can go and fight. We don't belong in this battle," Martha pleaded.

Strax looked at Martha and groaned. "Very well Martha Jones. I will help you. Follow me, we will go to the hall that leads to the experimental transporter room."

As both the Doctor and Martha followed Strax across the hall, the Doctor looked at Martha.

"How did you convince him to help us?" he asked.

"What can I say? I've got people skills…Well maybe Sontaran skills," said Martha with a smile.

Back with the human doctors, the transporter started to show eight Rutans appearing. But before they could fully manifest the doors opened and twelve Sontarans ran in. They placed themselves in front of the humans.

"Leave this to us, humans! You will only get in the way!" shouted a Sontaran.

Alex looked at the Sontaran, then the fully formed Rutans, and nodded his head.

"Come guys lets move it!" shouted Alex as he lead the group far away from the battle.

"Destroy the Sontarans!" shouted a Rutan.

"For Sontar!" shouted a Sontaran.

And the battle started.

The humans ran as fast as their legs could carry them. They stopped when they saw…

"Martha!" shouted Ade.

"Guys!" said Martha out of breath. "Are you all alright?"

"As right as we will ever be," said Doctor Lance.

"Where's Blake?" asked Alex.

"I'm sorry to say he is no longer with us," said the Doctor as he and Strax walked to the group.

"Who are you?" asked Alex.

Doctor was about to respond when Suki interrupted, "Short version: he is the Doctor and he is here to get us out of here."

"Very well informed," said the Doctor.

"I'm from UNIT," said Suki.

"Ah. Well that explains it. How is the Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart or is he not in charge anymore?"

"Sorry to interrupt but I think we should go now Doctor," said Martha.

"Right sorry. Strax, where is the transporter room?"

"Follow me! The faster we get there the faster I can join the battle!" said Strax, now leading the rest to the transporter room.

Soon they managed to get to the room. The humans stood in the center while the Doctor and Strax where standing near the wall.

"Now, the machine still has the Earth locations and when activated it will transport the humans back to where they were before they left," said Strax.

"Thank you. You know you are actually smart for a Sontarran," said the Doctor.

"I will ignore that, Doctor," frowned Strax "Now if you'll excuse me I have a fight join!"

"Strax!" said Martha gaining his attention. "Be careful out there, I won't be here to patch you up."

"I can handle myself just fine! And…goodbye Martha Jones," said Strax marching off to battle.

The Doctor stated activating the panel on the wall, activating the machine.

"Wait, what about you Doctor?" asked Martha.

The Doctor turned to Martha and smiled.

"Don't worry. Remember, I got my own mode of transport and I'll be out of here before you could say-"

Then suddenly Martha found herself back in London, on the same street where she was headed for work.

Martha did a quick turnaround. Yep, she was back on Earth. She looked to the sky and noticed it was getting dark. She felt her phone vibrate. Martha retrieved it to see she had a lot of unread messages.

Martha took a deep breath and sat on a nearby bench thinking.

This might take a while.

Later that night, Martha walked out of a bar now wearing a red jacket and blue jeans.

"That's it! I have had it. If you two can't stop fighting at your own son's birthday party then you are on your own!" shouted Martha, walking away from two elderly people who happened to be her mother Francine and farther Clive.

"Now look at what you've done!" shouted Francine.

"Me? It was your fault!" shouted Clive as Martha's siblings Tish and Leo tried to break them up.

Martha continued walking not looking back and wiping a small tear out of her eye. She kept walking until she found a bench to sit on.

She looked up at the stars remembering her strange experience with the Sontarans, the Rutans, and the Doctor. She was trying to decide if that was all in her head.

"Is this seat taken?"

Martha turned her head quickly to see The Doctor sitting right next to her. Her eyes widened and mouth was opened, but she did not say anything.

"Careful, you might catch flies," smiled the Doctor.

Martha closed her mouth.

"Doctor! You got out! What happened? Is Starx-"

"Ah! Before I answer, here you go," The Doctor got out two pounds from his pocket and gave them to Martha. "I told you I pay you back."

Martha looked at the pounds. Those were the same ones she gave him.

"I knew I gave them to you!" she said.

"Well you did gave them to me after I left the Sontaran base," said the Doctor.

Martha looked at him in confusion. "Wait how did you… when you…"

"Martha, how about we take a quiet walk and I will tell you when we get to our destination."

"What destination?" asked Martha.

"Don't worry I'll show you," said the Doctor standing up and holding out his hand to her. "Well what do you say?"

Martha looked at the Doctor, then turned her head back in the direction she left from. Then she looked at the Doctor's hand.

Martha smiled and took it. Silently they started on their way.

They soon ended their walk an half an hour later when they reached around a corner, where Martha saw an old blue police box.

"…and that my friend," Said the doctor, continuing their small talk, "is why you never want to tickle a Yeti. Well, here we are."

Martha was confused. "You led me here to see a box?"

"It's not just any box, it's my ship. The TARDIS," smiled the Doctor patting it.

Martha looked at the ship then back at the Doctor.

"Okay, Doctor I've seen two different types of aliens, been to another planet, and had an alien biology zapped right into my brain. But you can't honestly tell me that this is your ship."

"Why must your imaginations be so limited?" The Doctor frowned. "It is actually. Oh, and do you still remember all of the Sontaran biology?"

Martha tried to think of something but…

"I can't…I really can't remember anything. What happened?" she asked.

"Perhaps the Sontarans deleted the information during the transport so the knowledge you gained will be gone," smiled the Doctor. "Or that their Technology is just not advanced enough…"

"I do not agree with your opinion of Sontaran technology, Doctor!"

Martha looked shocked. The Doctor groaned as the TARDIS doors opened to reveal…

"Strax! Your alive!" Martha said as she hugged Strax.

"Martha Jones, if you are attempting to try the Ice Warrior's Death grip you are failing miserably," said Strax.

"Strax, what happened back at the base? Who won?" Martha asked letting go of Strax.

Strax sighed "It was a grand battle. Sadly I was the only one who survived."

Martha gasped "The Rutans won."

Strax laughed "Of course not! We wiped them out to the last."

The Doctor walked up to the two. "Yes well, both the armies fell and Strax was the only one around. And since all communication to the main Sontaran fleet was damaged I took it upon myself to put him back on his fleet."

"Yes, but before that the Doctor wanted to come and meet you, Martha Jones," said Strax.

"Me? What for?' asked Martha.

"Martha Jones, you have helped me in ways even I couldn't think," the Doctor said. "I have been in somewhat of a bad state of mind for some time, nearly lost my way and forgotten who I was supposed to be."

The Doctor sighed then he smiled. "But you helped me get back on track. So I decided to ask you Miss Jones, would you like a holiday?"

"What?" asked Martha.

"A vacation Martha, across time and space in my TARDIS. What do you say?" asked the Doctor.

Martha looked at the blue police box again then back at the Doctor. "Time and space?"

"Yes Martha Jones," said Strax. "The Doctor's ship, though pathetic as it is, can travel in time and space on any planet and moment in time."

"Pathetic?!" snapped the Doctor. "Have you seen your gunmanship? It's practically atrocious!"

"So how is this thing is a ship?" asked Martha as she walked up to the box.

Martha walked around it and then faced the Doctor.

"It's a bit small don't you think?"

The Doctor chuckled a bit and walked up to the front of the TARDIS. He pulled out a key and opened the door.

"Ladies first," said the Doctor holding the doors for her like a gentleman.

"What ladies?" said Strax.

Martha and the Doctor looked at him funny, but ignored him as Martha entered. She was about to stop when the doors opened from the inside to reveal a whole other room. And this room was huge.

Martha could not believe her eyes. The room looked like it was made in the Roman Era and in the center of four steel pillars was a huge console column with knobs, levers, and switches.

But what Martha could not believe was the size of this room. The slowly turned to the doors to find the Doctor and Strax entering the room. Martha looked around again and started to walk out of the room and back outside where she walked around the TARDIS and then back inside. She repeated this process at least three times.

"Are all humans this daft?" Strax answered.

"No Strax," The Doctor sighed. "Just the ones I pick up."

"This… but this is huge!" she said in amazement. "This…this is bigger on the inside."

"Yes, yes it is," said the Doctor, looking around the room while hanging his coat, hat, and umbrella on a coat rack. "I've acquired it in a past adventure. I'm still not sure If I should keep it or not."

Martha didn't listen. She just kept staring in amazement. While Strax, on the other hand, was not impressed.

"I you ask me Doctor, this ship should have weapons in case of attack."

"Well that's why I didn't ask you, Strax" said the Doctor.

Martha then came out of her stupor and walked up to the Doctor.

"Wait, you said it could travel in time?" she asked.

"So you did remember that. Yes it can so, Martha. Where and when do you want to go in the entire universe?" asked the Doctor.

Martha smiled. "I don't know."

The Doctor stared at her in confusion. "Really you don't know?"

"No."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"You sure?"

"Doctor!"

"Sorry, it just never happened before," said the Doctor. "You sure you don't know?"

"Yes!" said Martha trying not to laugh. "Don't you know where to go?"

"Well yes, but since it's your first trip I thought you could pick," said the Doctor.

"Well it is your ship, don't you have an idea on where to go?" asked Martha.

"Don't I have a choice?" asked Strax.

"No." said the Doctor.

"Why not?" asked Strax.

"Because you would pick a war somewhere and I don't want to have her killed on the first trip," the Doctor said. "Besides, I think I have an idea that can solve our problems…"

The Doctor walked up to the console. Martha followed the Doctor to the console and stopped when the Doctor pointed to a silver box-like object and bellow it a red lever.

"This is the randomizer. It has been a long time since I used it."

"Randomizer?" asked Martha.

"Yes. It's a device that when turned on can transport the TARDIS randomly anywhere in time and space without my decision," the Doctor smiled.

Martha stared at the device then back at the Doctor. "Unwise isn't it?"

"Unwise?!" said the Doctor. "I have you know this helped me out in a jam. But lets agree to disagree. Just pull that lever and then we are off. What do you say?"

Martha looked at the lever and slowly moved her hand and pulled it.

The cylinder on top of the console started to move as the TARDIS made a noise.

Martha looked at the Doctor and smiled as he smiled back while Strax just stood there with his arms folded.

Outside, the TARDIS started to disappear.

VOWRP, VOWRP, VOWRP.

But as the sounds and sight of the TARDIS faded from view, it was witnessed by three small figures.

These small figures where little girls that looked around nine years old. They all wore the same school uniform, but they each have different hair color.

The girl on the right has brown hair, the one on the left has red hair, and the one in the middle has black hair.

"Off he goes, sisters," said the red haired girl in a cheerful voice.

"Yes indeed, sister," said the brown haired girl with the same voice. "Should we follow?"

"No, sister let us wait awhile," said the black haired girl, sharing the same tone as her sisters. "Besides, we have a lot more fun to do on the way."

"Hey, you three!"

The three girls turned to face a policeman coming towards them.

"You girls shouldn't be out here on your own," said the Policeman. "I'll escort you home."

"Oh don't worry, we're fine officer," smiled the red haired girl.

"Indeed, we are safe," said the brown haired girl.

"Yes, really safe," said the black haired girl.

"Still, I should take you to your parents," said the policeman. "Where do they live?"

"Sorry, but they don't live in this dimension," smiled the brown haired girl. "And it's way too long a trip."

"What?" asked the Policeman then he heard his radio buzz.

"Officer forty five! Officer forty five come in!"

The officer was about to touch his radio when a flash of light blinded him for a moment. When he looked back the three girls suddenly vanished from sight.

The officer stood there in shock while his radio was still on.

"I repeat; officer forty five! Come in officer forty five! Over?"
