Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse. I was expecting a different response from him but I guess anything can happen nowadays. "I thought it was what's meant to be. I accepted my fate. I gave up my life so I can protect you and there's no greater way to die than that", he explained. I looked away from him. I don't know how to respond to that. He has always been a man of vision and I can never compete with his vision. "So why came back now?" I asked him. He felt the sudden coldness coming from me. "I came here to save you", he answered. He is many things but being a liar is not one of them. "You mean you came here to stop me", I corrected. He didn't say anything after that. "You need to eat something", he said. Rage is starting to grow again in me. "I am not hungry. I think you should leave", I said. He didn't move an inch. "Regina, please", he insisted. "I said go!" I yelled in a voice that's not my own. He looked at me in complete shock and then left.
I need to get out of here. I tried to break the post itself but I am just not strong enough. "Damn it!" I exclaimed in my frustration. They cannot keep me here forever. If only I can take this stupid bracelet off. Then a thought occurred in me. Peter Pan was able to use magic even with this on because he's powerful enough to overcome it. I am powerful now more than I used to back then. If I concentrate enough, I can free myself. I closed my eyes and summoned all the strength I can. I can feel my powers inside me but it's too far too reach because of the bracelet. This can be done. I know it. Just try harder, Regina. I am almost there. I can almost reach it. Then…I was able to finally touch it.
I opened my eyes and saw my reflection on the mirror on the wall across from the bed. My eyes turned purple. I melted the bracelet off my arm and break the rope that was tying me up. "This feels so much better", I muttered. I got up and went to the mirror. I know I look the same but something is different, something is off. Then I figured out what it is. It's my eyes. They're steady, still, and cold. I guess that's the result of unleashing darkness into the world. I have no light left inside of me. I am a walking body filled with darkness inside. "Just as always", I muttered to myself. I heard people talking outside. I guess they are having a little meeting about the problem called me. I eavesdrop to their conversation. "That's the thing. We can't kill any of them without killing Regina. I mean, have you seen her out there? Each hit is like ten times painful for her", Emma exclaimed.
I opened the door a little bit so I can see them. Wow, they are all present. "So what do we do now? We can't just sit here and do nothing. All the realms are affected with this", David asked. Emma sat down to think. "We need to cut the link between Regina and the coven. That's our best option. After that, we can kill them all", Mother answered. Everyone seemed to think that as a good idea. "Do we know how to do that?" Snow asked. That is a brilliant question. "I know of one but it's not going to be easy. It involves blood magic", Rumple answered. This meeting is getting interesting for me. "That is perfect. Mom and I are present", Zelena said. "Yes but in order for the spell to work, we need the parents. We need you and Henry, Cora", Rumple said. That wouldn't be so hard. The gods sent them back. Surely, they will make an allowance to send one more. I think we're going to have a family reunion. "That's great then. How can we call on Regina's dad? Because we need to move now. I think the more time she's connected to them, the more she loses herself", Robin said. So much for the vote of confidence from the man I loved. "I can take care of that", Mother said. I decided to join the party.
"What a brilliant plan…you guys really do come up with great ideas when you brainstormed", I said.
"Regina…how were you able to get out?" Hook asked.
"Do you think that little bracelet and rope will keep me there for so long? Come on, you know me", I asked him back.
"Regina, we found a way to help you. Let us help you", Emma said.
"So I've heard. I was just listening to you guys back there. Brilliant plan but there's one flaw in it", I said.
"What is that?" Mother asked.
"How are you going to do the spell if you're missing me?" I asked her back.
"This is for your own good, Regina. We don't want you to get hurt", Rumple said.
"Oh please, save it. Like you ever cared for me…now I am looking forward to seeing my father again but as for the spell, you can keep it to yourself", I said.
"Mom please…we just want you back. We are losing you every single second to darkness and it's torture for us, for me, because there's nothing I can do about it", Henry pleaded.
I looked at him and the rage is cooling down somehow. I can see the pain in his eyes. "Henry", I muttered. I am starting to feel again and right now I am feeling the love for my son. "Do it now!" Mother said and they all held me down. I struggled to free myself. "Let me go!" I screamed but nothing happened. "We cannot do anything until her father is here", David said. They all looked at me trying so hard to pin me down. "Yes we can do the spell", Mother said. Everyone got confused. "What?" Snow asked. Mother looked at Rumple. "Her father is here", she muttered. That made me stopped as well as everyone. Mother and Rumple looked at each other for a minute. "Oh, that's just great! Anything else you're hiding under your sleeves because right now is the best time", Zelena exclaimed. I think I heard that just fine. We all did. "I am?" Rumple asked her and she just nodded.
Mother and Rumple cut their palms and put it on top of each of my hands. I felt the power right away. It's painful like my skin is burning piece by piece. "Mother stop!" I yelled but they didn't stop. "Mother, please! I can't do this!" I continued to plead but still nothing. I cannot move either. I am stuck. Then it's over. I fell on the floor. I suddenly feel so weak like I have been drained. "Is it over? The link?" Emma asked them. "Yes. She's free from the coven", Rumple answered. I guess that's why I feel so light. "Look!" Henry said and he opened the window. The sun is starting to shine again. "We broke the circle, therefore breaking the spell", Zelena said. Robin helped me up. "How are you feeling?" he asked. "I don't know. I feel weird", I answered. "It's normal dear", Mother said. I wanted to confront her about Rumple but it's not the time. I stand on my own. "Where are they?" I asked them and they all looked at me. "I don't think you should fight not right after the spell", Emma said. "You really think you can stop me, Emma?" I asked her and she knew the answer to that. "Let's go and kill some witches", I said.
We didn't have to look further. They are already waiting for us outside. "Such a shame, Regina. We make a good team", Gothel said. I smiled. "I didn't like being a puppet. Besides, I got my own team", I said which pissed her off. "Let's start this, shall we?" she said and the fight began. It was like any other battle. It's messy. I don't have time to see who's fighting who. My full attention is on Gothel. I remember what my mother told me: Kill one, kill all of them. I would very much like it if it's Gothel who'll die first. "You have so much potential in you. Why are you wasting your time protecting them?" she asked. "…because they have always protected me. They could've ended this sooner by killing me. It will solve all of their problems but they didn't. They worked hard to find a way to save me from you. That's what family does for each other. It's something you'd know if you haven't abandoned your own daughter in a tower!" I answered and then pushed her back.
My turned purple all of a sudden and I can feel the rush of power inside me. I looked at my hands. They are no longer shaking. "You and Kirnon were wrong about me", I muttered. I looked at her. "You thought my only destiny is to bring forth the darkness into the world but that's just not it. I was both. I will bring forth the dark and the light. That's what he saw when I made the stone glow. He got so scared that he tried to sway me to the darkness and so are you", I added. She got up and attacked me. "You don't know who you are, Regina! You have no idea of who you really are", she exclaimed. I suddenly vanished and then reappeared behind her. "Oh I know exactly who I am…" I muttered and she turned around quickly. Then I put my hand inside her chest and held her heart. "Do you?" I asked her. I pulled out her black heart from her body. "If you crushed it, you will never be able to remove the darkness in you", she said. I smiled. "I know and I don't care. I always have that in me but somehow, I managed to survive…you, on the other hand, will not", I said and then crushed her heart killing her and the rest of the coven.
