Pert 20: Unto the Desert.

I have finally got there with this one, this unfortunately is the last chapter of this story but I will try and get the next one out soon. Don't know how long that will take as University starts up again soon but I shall give it my best.

I woke up hearing the sound of the helicopter; I could see the dust from the desert whip up as the blades flew mere metres above the sand. I looked around the helicopter and saw Jill was standing at the front of the helicopter with Alice at her feet; there was a lot of blood on her face and clothes like she had put up a struggle. As I continued to look around the room I spotted a couple more Umbrella soldiers along with Spyder who was sitting hunched over in one of the seats.

"You're awake?" Spyder told me, as he looked over to Jill. She made her way over to me, I tried to move my hands but they were tied along with my feet, "Should I sedate him?" Spyder asked Jill whilst still keeping his mask fixated on me.

I looked over at Jill who was still moving across the helicopter her heels clacking on the floor were almost as loud as the chopper blades, as she made her way over I could see her head twitch like something really wasn't going right with her. I saw her shake her head to Spyder so he stood up and walked over to me, he crouched down right next to my face and pulled out a small syringe.

"This could kill you if I put in just a cc to much but luckily for you, you are wanted alive," He whispered through his mask.

I tried to wriggle free of the bindings while Spyder went to go and sit back down, I looked over to Alice who was starting to move again. She looked over to me with a slight smile on her face; I wondered what she was up to when I saw her feet move independently. She had broken her bindings. I lipped to her "How the fuck?" She just smiled back and winked.

Alice suddenly rolled over and groaned causing one of the Umbrella soldiers to walk over to her, as he pulled out a syringe to sedate her again she leapt up and held him by the throat using her hand binds. Spyder and Jill both raised their handguns to her as she moved herself over to me. The helicopter was still flying over the desert but as she reached me; she kicked me over the edge of the helicopter down onto the desert floor.

As I lay on the scorching sands, the helicopter shot us a sand storm as it tried to locate me but as I looked around at it I spotted Alice, jump out after the Umbrella soldier she had taken hostage. The dust storm became too dense to see through I waited to find out who or what was going to get to me first. I heard a series of gun shots, it sounded like 9mm but I couldn't be sure.

I waited for a few minutes but the sound of the helicopter didn't go away, it was circling but I didn't know where it was at any given moment as the sound was being masked by the sandstorm. I kept wriggling to get free of the bindings, I kept my eyes peeled for movement but I couldn't see a damn thing the sand was too thick.

"I found Captain Morgan!" A voice said from my right as an Umbrella soldier stood upright on the cusp of a sand dune, as he moved forward I could see his weapon he only had a pistol but I knew I was defenceless. As he drew in close enough for me to view his mask I saw a bullet rip through his shoulder and then a second round tear through his hand, causing his to drop his gun. I wriggled my way over to it and grabbed it in my bound hands and tried to pull the trigger the shot went wildly off target into the dust but as I went for the second shot the soldier took a third round into the back of his head. As he fell to the floor covering the sand in his blood, I tried to get my hands free so I could actually shoot back at things but I couldn't. They were on too tight.

I put my head back down on the sands listening to the melodic and predictable sounds of the helicopters blades overhead waiting for someone to kill me, I heard more gun shots and a rip of minigun fire as I laid there but then the sound of the helicopter faded into the distance. I was confused to what had happened. As the dust began to settle I saw Alice wandering around the desert, as she spotted me she ran over.

"Sorry about the rough landing," She said as she untied my arms and legs. I climbed up and grabbed the pistol. Alice as looking through the Umbrella soldier's stuff, she pulled out a small hand held device.

"What's that?" I asked he as I made sure my mask was still in my body armour, it was so I strapped it around the top of my head just incase I needed it.

"Looks like some kind of sat scanner," She replied as searched the remainder of his pockets.

"What else he got on him?" I asked as I checked the pistol to see how much ammo I had in to magazine. Luckily for these forces Umbrella used Perspex magazines do they can see how many rounds they have left. My magazine was full which was a relief the full seventeen rounds in the Beretta Px4, by the looks it was firing .45 ACP but for now I just wanted to get to somewhere so Alice and I could decide on our next steps.

"Just a few magazines of ACP so we should be good for a while," Alice said as she looked over to me.

She put her pistol in her belt and stood up. "Where too now?" I asked her.

"I don't know," She told me as we both looked around the barren desert, as we turned the SatScan started going ballistic. Alice pulled it out of her pocket, "Shit!"

"What?" I asked as I kept scanning our surroundings.

"The SatScan," She said as she tried to make sense of the thing, "It's going off like a cell phone."

"Well maybe you should open it?" I asked, moving over to her.

"Yeah and what if it's Umbrella calling?" She replied sarcastically.

I took it off her and opened it. The screen had a map of the US and then a small triangle on left side. As I looked at it I saw the triangle expand and zoom in. As I looked around overhead I couldn't see anything but as I looked around I heard the Scanner beep, I looked at the scanner and saw it had locked onto a location. As it expanded further I saw myself looking around along with Alice.

"Shit! This thing can track us!" I shouted over to Alice.

"Well what do we do now?" Alice asked me looking slightly worried.

"We disappear."
