My dearest readers,

How does one adequately explain away or apologize for more than four months of absence? I doubt it can be done eloquently; perhaps it cannot be done at all. I owe it to you all to at least try.

I am sorry. I am so, so sorry. Would you believe me if I told you I was dead the whole time I was away? It is a strange thing to say, but I am certain one cannot classify the shell of a person I was as "alive."

It is thanks to the brilliant, beautiful chapter Warrior717 posted, and perhaps Divine Intervention, that I have returned to continue the exciting adventure that is this story. Warrior717's strength, courage, and sheer dedication have pulled me from the frigid, fetid depths of these past months and set me once more on my feet. My pen may be more timid and my heart more bruised, but I am here nonetheless, and I intend to stay!

It is not all smooth sailing ahead, but the seas have certainly calmed and the sun no longer hides behind billowing, black clouds.

Unfortunately, personal matters compel me to dedicate less time to the remainder of this story. As a result, all future chapters will now be posted to the account of my dear friend and partner-in-crime, Warrior717. In fact, there is a new chapter (Chapter 18) posted there now! We are also now each filling the shoes of both writer and beta, completely melding not only our ideas, but our writing styles as well.-ATTENTION: We have decided to post the remaining chapters of the story under my account instead! Please note that we have saved all the reviews that were submitted while the story was being updated under Warrior717's account.
