Christian tip toed down the stairs and motioned to Rose that it was safe. She walked down the stairs and headed toward the bedroom. "Wait," Christian commanded. "I'm gonna make us all hot chocolate and then I'm going to go in there with you. Just to be safe."

Rose opened up the fridge and grabbed an apple. "Do you know if she has anything to cut this up with down here?" Christian opened a drawer and handed her a small kitchen knife. Rose cut the apple into slices and put them in a bowl. Christian stirred the hot chocolates and covered them in whipped cream.

"Ready?" he asked. Rose nodded and the two walked into the bedroom. The closet door was closed but the two found out it was because Eddie hadn't closed the door to Lissa's playroom.

Rose walked over to the bed where Lissa was chained. Lissa's eyes were closed, but Rose could tell she was only sleeping lightly. She leaned over and kissed Lissa's cheek. Lissa opened her eyes and blinked. "Rose? How long have I been out?"

"Not long," Rose replied. "Eddie is in his room and Dimtri's asleep. Christian let me come see you."

"Thank you," Lissa said as she glanced at Christian over Rose's shoulder. "There's a cot in the closet if you want to rest while you chaperone us." Christian nodded and set the hot chocolates on an end table inside the closet. He pulled out the cot and placed it in the doorway. Lissa turned her attention back to Rose. "What happened to your wrist?!" Rose looked at her feet. "Did I do this to you?" Tears sprang to Lissa's eyes. "This is all wrong. I shouldn't have brought you here so soon. I didn't give you enough adjustment time."

Rose shook her head. "Lissa, that isn't why you broke my wrist. It was Winter's fault. Well that at the pregnancy. The pills are really strong so the first week makes you really crazy." Rose curled up next to Lissa. "As for adjustment period, after this week of darkness is over, I think everything will be ok. I can't promise I won't mess up, but I learn from my mistakes." Rose smiled but Lissa frowned.

"I'm just worried," Lissa sighed. "I don't know if anyone told you about my previous relationships, but I can be very aggressive. Sometimes overly aggressive. I never mean to hurt them like that, but sometimes I have a bad day and I just want to use them to cheer myself up and it takes more cheering up then their bodies can take."

Christian spoke up. "Yes, but you never collared them. Perhaps that changes things. Just putting that out there." He took a sip of his hot chocolate and pulled out a book.

Lissa nuzzled Rose. "I guess he has a point. Plus I never felt love. I felt affection and possession for them, but not love. I feel love whenever I even think about you."

Rose smiled. "Do you want a snack or some hot chocolate before I dose off?" Lissa nodded. "Is it ok if I feed it to you?"

"I think given the fact that I'm restrained and that I need to earn back your trust, that would be fine," Lissa replied softly. Rose fed Lissa the apple slices and licked the sticky juice off her lips. Lissa smiled. "Oh Rose. Such a sweetie." She noticed that Rose's eyes were drooping. "You're tired aren't you? You can rest. I'm not going to hurt you and Christian is here in case I try." Rose nodded and wrapped her arms around Lissa. "Good night, Pet."

"Good night, Mistress," Rose mumbled as she closed her eyes.

When Lissa was sure Rose was asleep, she turned her attention to Christian. "What did you have to do to get her down here?"

Christian sighed. "Eddie and I got into a fight. Then he tried to take his anger out on Rose. I think seeing you overpower Rose reminded him of when I walked out on him. He wasn't sure how to handle it and I don't think he ever really figured it out. Whenever he's upset about something else he can talk to me about it. But when he's upset with me he doesn't know what to do. So he takes his rage out on something else." Lissa growled. "He didn't manage to lay a hand on her. She kept dodging him and I got her out of the room and into the hallway. I more or less locked him in his room with a wall of fire. It will go out tomorrow morning so be ready."

"Thank you for protecting her and for bringing her to see me," Lissa said. "I know she can protect herself but I just hate thinking about how she could get hurt. Every time I saw her with even a bruise I'd go red with anger and become worried."

Christian smiled. "That's a good thing Lissa. It means you care about her."
