The next chapter is finally up. I know it's been a long time. I plan to continue this story and hopefully finish it this time. I always planned to come back to it. Still working on my writing so it might suck a little bit especially when it comes to the fighting parts.

The fate of Gohan now lies in the hands of Kakarot. Will the young Saiyan finish the job and then continue on to destroy the planet or will someone come to Gohan's aid? And what about Prince Vegeta. He has discovered the location of one of the Dragonballs. Will he discover their true purpose?

Chapter Seven: Kakarot vs. Master Roshi

Planet Earth- Mountain range

The energy within Kakarot's hand continues to increase in size as he gathered the necessary power required to finish the old man off. His face expressionless as he watched the old man struggle to get on his hands and knees. It was a miracle he managed to still be alive after enduring all his attacks. Usually anyone who has ever dared to challenge him would be dead by now. Kakarot gave the old man credit for managing to hold for this long.

Gohan, breathing heavily as sweat poured down from his face, pushed himself up on all fours. Searing pain shooting throughout his entire body as every muscle and bone cried out in pain. Shifting his gaze forward he watched as the boy prepared for what he assumed was his finishing attack. Was this it? Was this how he was going to meet his end? At the hands of this mysterious and dangerous child who appeared out of nowhere with evil intentions of destroying this planet. He was out of options. His body was weak, and he didn't know how much more damage he could take.

"It's over," spoke up Kakarot. His eyes narrowed as he begins to pull his right arm back. Preparing to unleash his finishing attack. "Lights out!" Just as he was about to release the energy blast his scouter goes off. Picking up an unknown power level. Numbers and symbols flashed on the small green screen then it stopped. A small arrow indicating towards his left. Shifting his gaze slightly an energy blast is fired from the forest heading directly towards him.

"Shit," cursed Kakarot to himself. Barely given enough time to react he cancelled his own attack then jumped back to dodge the oncoming blast. Back flipping three more times afterwards to put some distance. "What the hell!"

"Tell me boy, haven't your parents ever taught you to respect your elders," spoke up the newcomer.

Gohan recognized the voice right away giving him relief. Finally, someone came to his aid before it was too late. Fighting back the pain he shifted his gaze to the right seeing none other than Master Roshi and standing by his side his apprentice Krillin. "About time you decided to show up," said Gohan trying to muster up a smile.

"Master Gohan are you alright?" cried out Krillin as he made his way over to the old martial artist. Kneeling by the man's side as he set on hand on Gohan's shoulder and the other on his back.

"I'm fine Krillin," replied Gohan with a reassuring smile on his face as he nodded to the boy. "Don't worry. It's nothing my body can't handle."

"You hanging in there Gohan?" called out Master Roshi.

Gohan looked to his master and nodded his reply.

"Good." Master Roshi then shifted his gaze to the mysterious boy. He was unlike any fighter he has ever encountered before. Garbed in strange armor and dressed in attire almost like some kind of soldier. It was obvious he wasn't from here. He was powerful and very skilled for his age. Dangerous as he could sense the power flowing through his small body. How could someone so small be that strong? He didn't look that much older than Krillin. Probably even the same age.

It was then he noticed something moving behind the child. What was it? A tail? What are you boy? thought Master Roshi to himself.

Kakarot kept his eyes focused on the newcomer who attempted to attack him while his guard was down. He wasn't at all phased by what had just happened. Even if the attack had hit it wouldn't have been enough to defeat him maybe just slow him down for a brief moment. Nothing more.

"So, you're the source of the dangerous energy I was sensing. I got to admit I am shocked to see this power coming from someone so small," said Master Roshi.

Kakarot said nothing.

"The silent treatment huh. Trying to be a little tough guy are we." Silence was once again the boy's response. Or maybe he was only seizing him up. Master Roshi wasn't sure what this boy was planning so he better be prepared for anything. "Tell me kid who are you? Where did you come from and why did you come to this planet?"

"That doesn't concern you," Kakarot finally replied.

"I see." Master Roshi paused for a few seconds then continued "Haven't your parents ever taught you to respect your elders?"

"Is every fighter on this pathetic planet as old as you," shot back the little chibi Saiyan. A hint of annoyance in his tone.

"I guess not." Master Roshi begins to make his way towards the mysterious child. After he was a few feet away he stopped then took fighter stance position. "I guess there isn't any other way to do this. Now give me everything you've got child and don't hold back. I want to see what you can do."

"You're kidding right. Didn't you see the condition I left your other old geezer friend in over there. You'll only end up the same." Kakarot took fighter stance position as well. "If I don't decide to kill you first."

"Don't underestimate my age boy. Looks can be deceiving."

"Oh really. Well then, you're funeral. You three will be my first victims. The sooner I finish you off the sooner I can get back to finishing my mission."

"Your mission? And what would that be exactly?"

"… Complete annihilation."

Vegeta

Fear overwhelmed Bulma as her blue eyes came into contact with another's. Standing a few feet away from where she stood was a small boy garbed in strange clothing and armor with the dragon ball in his hand. His eyes fixed on her with a cold and threatening stare. It sent chills down her spine as she felt the small hairs behind her neck rise. There was something about this kid that sent fear through her entire body.

She was afraid to speak as she couldn't muster up the courage to say a word. The dragon radar continues to beep louder and faster as it picked up the dragon ball in the boy's hand. She had to get her hands on it, but how? She was so frozen in fear she couldn't even move. Come on Bulma! Move! You need that dragon ball! she thought to herself.

Vegeta looked the earth woman over. Her level was low not even considered a threat. A simple earthling that he could deal with easily. It was obvious why she was here. Looking over towards the object in his hand he knew this was what the girl was after. Just like his scouter the small device in her hand had picked up on it as well. Just what was it anyway? When she first broke through the bushes he heard her say dragonball. Is that what this thing was called? A Dragonball?

"You, earth woman, what is this thing and what exactly can it do?" demanded Prince Vegeta.

The sudden demanding tone broke Bulma out of her trance. Snapping her back to reality. "Huh? What?"

Vegeta held out the dragonball in front of him. Indicating to what he was referring to. "This. What is this? I'm not asking again."

This made Bulma angry. Regardless of her fear she wasn't going to allow for some kid to be so rude and disrespectful towards her. "Excuse me but I have a name. It's Bulma. Have some manners when talking to a lady," shot back the young sixteen-year-old as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I don't care. Either answer me or I'll just kill you here and now."

"What?! Kill me! Just who do think you are anyway? You can't just go around threatening people. If you want something just ask for it."

"You're trying my patience earthling."

Bulma hesitated to answer for a few seconds. This kid wasn't messing around. Whoever he was she believed his words. It was then Gohan popped into her mind. Was this the reason he sent her away? Was he responsible for that sudden earthquake before she left Gohan's? Was he's alright? Did this kid do something to him? She prayed the old man was alright. She had to go get help he could be injured for all she knew.

"It's called a Dragonball," Bulma finally replied. "It can't do anything alone. You need to collect all seven in order to unleash its true power."

"Seven in total. And what exactly happens once all have been collected?"

She didn't want to answer, but what other choice did she have. This kid looked like he wasn't playing around. Who knows what he would do to her to give him the answers he wanted. "It grants the person one wish."

One wish. Vegeta looked back at the dragon ball. There were seven in total on this planet. Once collected it grants the collector one wish. Maybe, just maybe, if he managed to collect them all he could wish for the power to destroy Frieza. Yes, ultimate power to conquer that tyrant once and for all. Crush the Cold Empire and avenge his fallen race. Avenge his father. This was his chance.

Kakarot

Master Roshi charged towards Kakarot right hand clenched into a fist as he pulled his arm back preparing for his first attack. Once he was close enough he pushed his fist forward aiming for the kid's head. Kakarot merely moved his head to the right to evade the attack. The old martial artist then continued his assault with a combination of punches which the young chibi Saiyan dodged with ease. Finishing his attack Master Roshi struck with a spin kick aimed for the boy's left side.

Kakarot brought his left arm up blocking the kick with the back of his forearm. His eyes locked with Master Roshi's. "That all you've got," he taunted.

"I'm just getting warmed up kid," replied Master Roshi with a smirk on his face.

Kakarot said nothing as he pushed the old man's leg away then countered with a combination of punches and kicks.

Master Roshi struggled to try and keep up with the kid. For the boy's speed was incredible for his age though he doubts the kid was even trying.

Kakarot jumped back a few feet away then charged towards Master Roshi. Using the same technique as he had previously against Gohan he disappeared as he used the after-image technique. The old martial artist brought his arms up to block but was hit with nothing as the ghostly image passed right through him.

"What was that?" questioned Master Roshi in shock.

Kakarot reappeared behind the old man and struck with a spin kick hitting Master Roshi in the back of the head. The force of the attack sent Roshi flying forward a few feet landing on the ground face down. It took him a moment to push the pain away and regain control of what was going on. That hit was strong. If he hit any harder, he would've been knocked out cold.

Master Roshi slowly stood to his feet. Then without warning the air was knocked right out of him as Kakarot appeared in front of him with his elbow pressed against the man's stomach.

"Never let your guard down," said Kakarot. He then attacked with a combination of punches and kicks hitting Master Roshi in the stomach. To finish his assault, he charged power into his right fist then punched the old man in the stomach one last time. The force of the blow sent Master Roshi flying back sliding on the ground, on his back, when he landed.

"No Master Roshi!" called out Krillin as he watched his master being beaten around like a rag doll. He was about to take a step forward to try and help but was stopped when Gohan grabbed on to his left wrist.

"No Krillin don't," he pleaded. "You can't help him. I know you're a strong fighter, but this isn't like any opponent we've ever faced before. Just have faith in our master. The last thing he would want is for you to get hurt. Everything will be alright. Master Roshi is the strongest fighter on this planet. If anyone can stop this kid, it's him."

Krillin kept his eyes focused on the battle going on in front of him. His fists clenched tightly as he fought back against the anger mixed with fear dwelling within him. He wanted to help his master, but Gohan was right. He would only get in the way and become a distraction to Master Roshi. He needed to have faith. He knows his master could win this fight and stop that kid.

Kakarot stood with his arms crossed over his chest. Watching as the old man remained motionless for a brief moment. For a few seconds he made no movement then finally he saw as the man was pushing himself up to his feet. Kakarot merely narrowed his eyes in annoyance.

Master Roshi, breathing hard, pushed himself up to a standing position. He felt pain in his stomach from the last attack. He fought back against the pain and regain control of his composure. Not letting the boy think he has him beaten. He took fighter stance once again.

This guy doesn't give up. It's annoying thought Kakarot to himself. Play times over. He disappears once again then reappears directly in front of Master Roshi, catching the old man completely off guard. Kakarot brings his right knee up and hit's Master Roshi directly underneath his chin causing the old man to bend back. Kakarot then moves until he was flying a few inches over Master Roshi then spins and slams his right foot down on the man's chest. Pushing him down onto the ground. Kakarot then back flips three times and lands on one knee as he put some distance between them.

Krillin and Gohan could do nothing but watch in horror as their Master was beaten into the ground. Was there no limit to the boy's strength?

An eerie silence filled the air as no one made a sound or a movement. Kakarot kept his eyes focused on where the old man laid, motionless. Seconds passed and no movement. "Good riddance," he said more to himself as he stood.

Just then Master Roshi began to stir. His body shaking as he forced himself up to his hands and knees. Breathing heavily as sweat poured down his face. Blood flowing down his chin. His jaw aching from the attack. His chest screaming in agonizing pain as his muscles felt like they were tearing apart. He felt the strength behind that one. At that time the boy was actually putting a bit more power in his attacks. He was probably hoping for a quick kill. Maybe wanting to finish him off already. Who knows. He was just lucky to be alive.

Shifting his gaze forward he looks towards the boy. Calm as he went back to standing with his arms over his chest. A signature stance he guessed the kid used to assert his dominance. That or it was just a bad habit he had. He was running out of time. Any more attacks like that and he would die for sure. The boy was no longer holding back that much. He wanted victory already and would do anything to accomplish it. The kid had to have a weakness somewhere.

"I'm bored," said Kakarot. Snapping Master Roshi out of his train of thoughts. "This is getting annoying. Just give up already. You can't beat me so why even bother. Just surrender and maybe I'll make your deaths quick and painless."

Master Roshi forced himself up to his feet. "Is that so. Sorry to disappoint you kid, but we earthlings don't like to make things easy. Especially when it comes to defending our home."

"You're fools. You have no idea who you're dealing with right now. No matter how much you try you will never be able to defeat me. You're wasting your time. This planet is doomed."

"Just what are you kid? You're not from here that's for sure."

Kakarot took fighter stance position once again. A smirk on his face as he narrowed his eyes. "I'm a Saiyan. The strongest race in the entire universe." Blue and white energy begins to gather in the palm of his right hand once again. The same technique he was going to use on Gohan before. This time there would be no more interruptions. He would kill them all here and now.

Just then the little chibi Saiyan felt weakness overwhelm him. His power began to drop as he felt like all his power was draining out of his body. His attack cancelled out as he dropped down on his hands and knees as he lost the strength to remain standing.

This shocked both Master Roshi and Gohan as they witnessed the child fall. Without anyone noticing Krillin had slipped away from where he kneeled beside Gohan and now stood behind the Saiyan child with the boy's tail gripped tightly in his hands.

"Krillin!" called out both Master Roshi and Gohan in unison.

Krillin stood in shock at first as he looked down at the Saiyan child. Whoever thought something as simple as this was all it took to bring him down. His tail was his weakness and now the tables have turned. This was their chance. They could finish him off here and now.

Krillin looked towards his master. "Master Roshi now's your chance. Finish him off. He can't move!"

Master Roshi hesitated then nodded.

Vegeta

One wish was all it took. He could wish for the power to destroy Frieza once and for all. All he had to do was collect all seven and he could change the tides of fate. With this he could wipe out the entire Cold empire and bring the rise of the Saiyans once again. They could reclaim their dominance as the strongest and most feared race in the entire universe.

"Just to let you know finding the dragon balls won't be so easy," spoke up Bulma. Breaking Vegeta out of his train of thoughts. "They're nearly impossible to find."

The young Prince looks towards Bulma.

"You might have been able to find that one but that was nothing but luck. It could take someone years to be able to find all seven."

"But not you," shot back Vegeta. "That device in your hand. You were looking at it before you even noticed me. I take it you use that to track them down am I right."

"Huh?" Damn it. But how did he notice right away? Bulma tried to push the idea out of his head. "Oh, come on don't be silly. This isn't anything at all. Just a compass you know. I need it, so I won't get lost."

"Oh really." With lightning fast speed, he snatched the Dragon radar right out of Bulma's hand before she even noticed. He inspected the device closely. It beeped as the dragon ball in his hand set it off. Indicating its location. So, this device tracks their location. No wonder she was able to find this one. I could use this to locate the remaining six then make my wish to defeat Frieza. The device reminded him a little bit of his scouter that helped him track down power levels.

"Look you can't just take things from people without asking them. I swear haven't your parents ever taught you manners."

"Silence!" shot back the young Prince. Just then his scouter goes off. The usual numbers and symbols flashing through the small screen. Within seconds it picked up the location of the source then stopped an arrow indicating in the direction it was coming from. "What's this?" It was Kakarot's energy signal and it was failing. "Kakarot," he said to himself under his breath.

Light blue energy begins to surround Vegeta as he powered up. Forgetting about the earth woman and her radar still in his hand, Vegeta shot up into flight then launched himself in the direction of where the signal was coming from. He had to hurry. Kakarot's energy signal was fading.

PLANET COLD

"How the mighty have fallen. Bardock, you should've never have forgotten your place," said Frieza. In his grasp, a battered and beaten Kakarot as he held the young chibi Saiyan by his throat. His grip on the boy's neck tightening. An evil smirk on his face as he kept his focus on the Saiyan warrior.

Bardock, down on one knee and breathing heavily, fought back the aching pain flowing throughout his body as he felt like every bone was broken. Blood flowed down his face. His armor almost completely gone as he suffered a huge amount of damage from his battle against the evil tyrant standing before him. In his hand was his youngest son, Kakarot. The boy could be seen barely hanging onto what little life he had left. How did everything go so wrong? How could he have failed to protect him and now his fate lied in the hands of Frieza.

"It's over Bardock. I gave you all a chance to swear your loyalty to me, but instead you wanted to continue your pointless assault. Tell me just how did you plan on stopping an entire empire with only a few Saiyans at your side?" Frieza tightened his grip on Kakarot's throat once again causing the young Saiyan to wince in pain. Kakarot tried his hardest to pry and loosen the monster's grip with his hands as he struggled to breath, but to no avail. Frieza merely tightened his grip even more.

Frieza shifted his gaze slightly towards the young Saiyan. Watching as he continued to try and break himself free. "Like father, like son. Never knowing when to give up and accept defeat. I had such high hopes for you Kakarot. You do possess such strong power within you. A true Saiyan prodigy… for a lower class that is. Too bad you chose to betray your master."

"Kakarot," said Bardock as anger and rage continued to build up inside of him. "Frieza let him go. I'm the one you want."

Frieza looked to Bardock as he could see the hatred in the Saiyan's eyes as he glared at him. He knew the man wanted nothing more but to kill him right where he stood. Too bad he didn't have the necessary power to do so. Here he thought Saiyans were nothing more but a lot of emotionless monkeys who cared for nothing more but living for a good fight. When it comes to their offspring it does strike a sensitive nerve after all.

Frieza returned his gaze back to Kakarot. "It's about time your father knows how it feels to truly lose it all." Frieza brings up his opposite hand as he extended his index finger out and place it on Kakarot's chest. He then looked back over towards Bardock. "Time to say goodbye to your son Saiyan." Frieza fires a Death Beam which pierces right through Kakarot.

"Kakarot!" shouted Bardock.

Just then his vision blurred, and his head ached. Everything around him went dark as the gruesome scene before him disappeared. The pain he felt in his body before no longer there. As if it was never there to begin with. He fell onto his hands and knees as he breathed heavily. Sweat pouring down from his face. It never happened. None of it was real. Just some kind of nightmare, but he wasn't asleep. So, how was he able to feel something that wasn't there? "Unless…"

The one who seeks the power, Frieza, will never have it. But I have given it to you as a gift Bardock so that you could see... see the horror of your end just like we had to. Now you know how we felt. The Kanassan's last cryptic message to him echoed through his mind as laughter followed. The image of his son dying at the hands of Frieza flashed through his mind.

"No," said Bardock as he violently shook his head to try and push the horrific images out of his mind. It was another vision, but how? He thought he lost that ability after the destruction of Planet Vegeta. He was to witness his death before it happened. He was supposed to have died by Frieza's Death Ball, but instead he managed to survive. Could this be another warning? Another sign that if he tried to go up against that tyrant again he could lose everything. Kakarot, Raditz. If they faced Frieza they would surely die.

"Bardock!" called out King Vegeta. Snapping the Saiyan out of his train of thoughts. King Vegeta witnessed when Bardock fell to the ground suddenly. He kneeled to the man's left side as he placed a hand on his back. "Are you alright? What happened?" he questioned.

Bardock first replied with nothing as he struggled to regain control of his composure. The aching in his head slowly fading away and his vision returning to normal. He looked slightly up and realized he was still on the bridge. Just a few moments ago the vision felt so real. As if he was elsewhere fighting Frieza. Kakarot he wouldn't allow his son to suffer the fate he saw in his vision. He would protect his son at all costs. Even if it meant he would die in his place. Frieza wasn't going to win this time. He'd make sure of it.

"Hey what happened?" King Vegeta continued to try and make the man talk. "Is everything alright?"

"I'm fine," replied Bardock with a hint of annoyance in his tone. "It was nothing. Just a little tired that's all."

King Vegeta didn't believe a word of it. He knew something was wrong and the low level didn't want to admit it. He was stubborn and arrogant. No wonder he almost always ended up in the rejuvenation chambers after his missions. Pushing his body beyond its limits. It was a miracle he was even still alive. He had a lot of luck that was for sure.

King Vegeta gave up trying to get the man to admit what had happened and decided to focus on the situation at hand. "Very well then." He stood up and made his way towards the communication controls. "Someone's tracking us."

Bardock stood slowly then looked towards Vegeta. "What do you mean?"

"A few moments ago, someone tried getting into contact with Cui. Demanding why his ship took a different course. They picked up on the tracking device and surely they've sent soldiers to come and investigate."

"Then we'll just take them out easily."

King Vegeta shook his head. "I don't think so. They knew you were the package being delivered. If something went wrong, then for sure they suspect you escaped. They'll be sending an army to try and stop you. We won't stand a chance. We'll both be taken prisoners. We don't have the power to challenge King Cold at the moment. He'll kill us for sure."

"So, what do you propose we do? We're sitting ducks here."

"Only option we have is to abandon the ship. There must be space pods in the loading docks."

"You fools," spoke up Cui, still sitting in the corner a few feet away from the two Saiyans. "No matter what you do or how far you go. You will never be able to escape King Cold. He will find you both no matter where are you and finish you off. You're only prolonging your inevitable downfall."

The two men shifted their gaze towards the elite. "Any chance we can do away with him first," suggested Bardock. "Perhaps throw him out in space. Though I'd much rather blow him to bits."

Fear began to overwhelm Cui at the man's words. Shock filled as the blood completely drained from his face and made him pale.

"As tempting as that is I'm going to have to pass on that suggestion," replied King Vegeta. Returning his eyes to the controls in front of him.

Just then one of the screens lit up showing that the doors in the loading docks was operating. A space pod was arriving.

"Someone's here," said King Vegeta as he looked on the screen as a green square lit up indicating the location. "One of King Cold's henchmen no doubt. That was quick though. Must've been someone who wasn't too far away from this location."

"So, what are we standing around here for. Let's go and check it out."

King Vegeta replied with nothing as he kept his eyes focused on the screen.

Planet Earth- Kakarot

"Master Roshi now's your chance!" shouted Krillin.

Master Roshi nodded his reply as he cupped his hands together and pulled them back towards his right. Charging up his signature technique. The Kamehame Wave. "Ka… me…Ha… me!" He hesitated briefly. If fate were different this kid would've made a powerful fighter. He was a skilled martial artist. An apprentice that he could see grow into one of earth's strongest fighters, but it wasn't that way. He was apart of an alien race that craved on death and destruction. He had no heart. A monster who needed to be stopped. He had to end this here and now. Push away thoughts that he knew would never be. This is the way it had to be.

He then noticed Krillin, who kept his hands wrapped around the boy's tail. "Krillin move! He won't be able to recover fast enough to escape!"

Krillin nodded as he released Kakarot's tail and moved out of the Kamehame Wave's path.

The attack reached the necessary power it needed then Master Roshi pushed his hands forward unleashing the energy blast. "HA!"

Kakarot, still lying on the ground, looked up towards the oncoming attack. His scouter picking up the energy level. At this rate he would be defeated for sure. He was too weak and there wasn't enough time to recover. Damn how could he be so careless. He let his guard down and those weaklings managed to find his weakness, and now because of it, he was going to pay the price. No, it can't end this way.

The energy blast neared and Kakarot shut his eyes and looked away as he prepared for the worse.

Just then he felt someone appear next to him. He reached down and grabbed Kakarot by his left arm and put it over his shoulder and wrapped his right arm around the kid's waist. With only mere seconds to spare teleporting them both out of the line of fire.

Kakarot shifted his gaze over to his left and saw none other than Prince Vegeta holding onto him. "Prince," he said in shock.

After a long battle it has finally reached its end. The deadliest tag team duo reunited. Can both Kakarot and Prince Vegeta be able to put their differences aside and work together? And who has discovered the location of Bardock and King Vegeta? Has King Cold discovered the survival of both Saiyans.
