A/N-Typically I like to wow you, but be prepared for a little bit of heartbreak this chapter. I hope that you enjoy. This is not a new chapter. The drugs had me change her name from Samantha to Stephanie. I am updating 27 and 28 by changing the name back to Samantha.

They were at the home stretch. Sabrina would be here in a month. They were prepared. The nursery was finished. They had made some changes to their room and their office for her arrival.

In the meantime they remained busy. Olivia had slowed down a lot due to her pregnancy. Right now Sabrina was close to eight pounds. Olivia felt like a whale, but her husband stroked her ego every chance he got. He had saved himself and many others a ton of wrath by always commenting on how beautiful she was.

He really felt that way, and he never allowed her too much time to think otherwise. Business was booming at both locations, and Olivia's foundation was getting more and more attention. Robin had referred several women to her and she had taken care of all of them in the last month.

Olivia had done some research after Kerry's PSA for the "Purple Purse Campaign" went out. She spoke with the women in her homes as well as other directors in women's shelters. She found many of them were educated. They had careers and lives before the abuse.

After talking with Fitz she decided that would not only help them get the training they need to get back into the working world they would began hiring them. They still needed positions to be filled at the houses, they were going to get more office space in the building where their firm was. It would be the headquarters for the foundation where they hoped to hire from within.

In time they also wanted to expand their firms, but decided to be patient so they could hire from within.

Olivia was hands on when it came to the women who were in the house. If she wasn't physically able to meet them when they arrived at the house she would talk to them on the phone.

Everyone around Olivia could see the effect that her foundation was making after such a short amount of time that they volunteered to help her in any little way especially her family. Her husband was her rock. Little did she know she would need it, and she hoped she didn't push him away.

Olivia was really attached to the Roger's family. She had spent a lot of time with Miriam. Miriam was by far their hardest case. She wanted to move forward, but fear kept getting in the way. Other than Samantha there was two other children Shelly was 13 and Sheldon had recently turned 5. Olivia had thrown him a birthday party which they could all tell meant the world to him.

Sheldon was diagnosed with ADHD. He was also a slow learner. Olivia didn't quite buy it, because during the times they spent together he caught on pretty quickly. Olivia believed it was his environment.

Now that she was eight months she rarely if ever went into the office, and most of the meetings for the foundation she did from home via teleconference and phone calls.

The couple was laying on the couch watching a movie when Olivia's phone rang. She was enjoying her time with her husband so she ignored it. It stopped for a second, and then the ringing began again. Fitz got up and handed her the phone.

As soon as she answered before saying hello she heard someone screaming, "She didn't listen. SHE'S DEAD! SHE'S DEAD!"

Fitz and Olivia immediately sat up. After a minute Olivia realized who she was talking to, "Samantha?"

Samantha was sobbing. Fitz was able to calm her down enough so she could explain what was going on.

The biggest rule they had for the families which was for their safety is that they could never go back. Don't use any cell phones that they can trace. Miriam had told the house that she had to take the kids to the doctor, but she was actually going to her home that she shared with her husband. He was supposed to be at work. She wanted to get some family mementos. He was there. He demanded that Miriam call Samantha so they could all die together. She refused at first so he shot Shelly in the head. She called me. When Samantha arrived he said something crazy and then shot Miriam killing her. He went to shoot her but Sheldon came out of his bedroom. For a second he let his guard down. Samantha said she went to protect him when she was shot twice. She fell on top of Sheldon which shielded him from being shot. Samantha had called the police before going into the house so he heard the sirens. He didn't have time to finish killing her he killed himself.

Fitz & Olivia were trying to keep their emotions in control. Fitz finally asked, "Where were you shot?"

"In the leg and stomach. That is not the reason I am calling."

Olivia asked, "Honey what do you need?"

"Sheldon is asking for you. We have no family, and I can't support him. I am not stable enough. CPS is here and they are going to take him. I asked them to allow me to call you. If you won't take him he is going into the system, and there is nothing that I can do."

"Tell me where you are? We will be there in an hour."

After Olivia got the information they ended the call. Olivia jumped up, but Fitz had not moved. Olivia stopped.

"Fitz, we can't let him go into the system. I can't do that. Please don't ask me to let them take him away."

"So you throw the guilt trip at me? I am to blame if I'm not sure about this."

Olivia trying to keep her emotions under control, "No I am not saying that and you know it."

Fitz stood up, "Actually you are. I support your dreams. I am your husband, but this is a child. A human being. We are about to have our first in a month, and you want to bring a five-year old who has some issues we know about, and after tonight God only knows. It is not so cut and dry for me. It seems though that you have made up our minds."

Fitz left the room with Olivia standing there. She had no choice but to head to the hospital. She promised Samantha she would be there.

Once she arrived at the hospital she spoke with Samantha & her doctor. She needed surgery, but refused to do anything until she knew that her brother would be okay. It seems that they had been at the hospital for almost 24 hours before she called.

Olivia hated to lie but she could tell by the tone of the doctor that if Samantha didn't have surgery soon then things could get ugly quick.

Olivia assured her that Sheldon would be fine which she hoped was not going to be a lie. She couldn't tell her he had a home, but the fact that Olivia was there gave her enough confidence to sign the papers to head into surgery. Olivia told the doctor she would be taking care of everything, and she wanted her to receive the best care possible which he promised.

Once Samantha was gone Olivia turned to go speak with Sheldon who was actually in a vacant office. When she walked in the room he ran over to her. As she held him he began to shake.

The CPS worker explained to her that Miriam had no family, and her husband only had two relatives that were barely capable of taking him. They both refused. He had already been through enough trauma so they wanted to wait until Samatha came out of surgery so he could see her at least once more, and to see if she had any interest in taking him.

Olivia wanted to say yes, but she couldn't make this choice without her husband. As much as she hated to admit he was right. She had more hope, but he was right.

She was about to tell her no when the door opened and there was Fitz. She looked up at him in shock. Olivia introduced him to the CPS worker.

Without asking she told Fitz what she had just discussed with Olivia. Fitz took a moment to look at her interaction with Sheldon. As frightened as the child looked he also looked at peace and safe in his wife's arms.

Olivia turned to face Sheldon, "Sheldon this is my husband Fitz. You haven't gotten a chance to meet him before. Can you say hi?"

Sheldon looked up, "Hi Mr. Fizz."

Fitz smiled, "Hi Sheldon. I need to talk to Olivia. I'll bring her right back okay."

He nodded.

Fitz and Olivia went into a private room in the waiting area. Once they were comfortable Fitz began, "We'll sign the paper work and become his foster parents. Once we know this will work for him then we can adopt him."

Olivia thought she would be happy, but she wasn't, and part of the reason was she wasn't convinced he wanted to do this.

"Fitz, why now? What has changed in the last 90 minutes?"

"Stop it Olivia. Don't get defensive. I'm giving you what you want."

"Thanks, he is not a toy."

Fitz jumped up, "Exactly, he is a human being. He is a child that has been through hell. In a month or less we are set to become parents for the first time. That is about to change, and the variables are unknown. This is not me being selfish. This is me being scared. There is not a lot of wiggle room so I'm sorry that I'm not over the moon about this choice. I still think it is the right choice, but don't make me feel bad for how I'm feeling. Now you take it or leave it. I'm doing this for you. I trust you and either that can be enough for you or we can go in there, and say our good-byes to Sheldon."

Olivia put her head down. She was being unfair. He was trying, and she had to give him credit. It was wrong of her to expect him to always agree with her, and at least this time he didn't run. He stayed in the trenches with her like he promised.

Olivia nodded and agreed they would take Sheldon. They completed the paperwork and an emergency order was granted for the Grants to take Sheldon.

Samantha made it through surgery, but would require a lot of rehabilitation. They promised to help her.

Samantha was able to tell them that as far as abuse he was saved from a lot of it. Her dad had issues with woman so Sheldon was shielded from that. He was punished if his dad didn't think he was being a boy whatever that was suppose to me, and those punishments were harsh. It gave them a better idea of what they were dealing with.

Fitz had to go get booster car seats for Sheldon. Once he returned he followed them home. Olivia hadn't really slept so he sent her to bed. He made her breakfast, and afterwards he made sure she was comfortable so she could try and rest. She was almost sleep he thought when she grabbed his hand.

He turned around and he saw the fear in her eyes.

He caressed her cheek, "We are good baby. I promise. Just rest. I love you."

"You promise"

"I do. We are always a team even if we don't totally agree"

"Okay. I love you Fitz"

"I love you more sweet baby"

Fitz called the office and updated them on what was going on, and told them to call him on his cell phone if he was needed.

For the first hour or so Sheldon didn't say much, but Fitz showed him some toy cars on the computer and he got really excited.

Fitz decided to spend the day letting him be a little boy. They picked his room, and Fitz promised they would buy him a car and show his sister.

Fitz left a note for Liv since he didn't know how long they would be gone.

Fitz goggled and found a store that sold car beds. He got Sheldon hooked up in his seat and they were on their way.

When they went into the store both of them lite up. It was a boy's play ground, and they played.

By the end of the trip Fitz had purchased an Avenger Race Car Bed that was red and black, classic car rugs, flag wall stickers, racer light switch cover, and bedding.

Fitz paid for everything and paid extra for same day late delivery so they could run a few more errands. They went to the toy store and bought some cars, but Fitz also bought him a children's computer, leap-frog with lots of different programs, and they picked out several books some were educational and others were fun.

Fitz stopped by Best Buy and got some things for Samantha.

Sheldon asked for chicken nuggets so they stopped and grabbed some lunch. They went to the hospital and checked on Samantha.

Fitz handed her the bag with included a new Ipod, Iphone, and Ipad, a portable DVD, lots of DVDs, an Amazon Kindle Fire, and a $500.00 Amazon gift card.

He could tell this was hard on her. She had lost her family, and she had a long recovery ahead of her. He wanted her to know she was not alone.

She decided to cremate her family. Fitz told her they would handle it for her. After sometime they headed home so they could let the furniture people in.

They showed up right on time. While they were working on his room Fitz started dinner. Samantha has told him about the foods that Sheldon liked which is why they were having spaghetti for dinner.

At times Sheldon would be all over the place, but if Fitz talked to him and gave him something to do he was fine. While he was fixing dinner he set up the Leap Frog, and they worked the program together. It was clear that Sheldon was behind, but Fitz felt that with time and effort that could change.

Olivia woke up to the sounds of the furniture being put together. She ended up dozing back off and woke up an hour later. After freshening up she went to find Fitz . The nursery was right next to their room. When she made it down the end of the hall she saw what was now Sheldon's room. It was a boy's room for sure.

When she walked into the kitchen what she saw warmed her heart. Fitz was repeating words with Sheldon while he was cooking. He had every right to be scared, and she was too but they could do this. She knew he was going to be a great dad, and here was the proof.

Sheldon looked up and smiled, "Liv, Fizzy got me a puter and we learning."

Olivia smiled, "Can you show Liv your new computer?"

He shook his head down.

Olivia said, "How about when someone ask you something you say yes or no out loud okay buddy?"

"Otay Liv, Yes"

Olivia smiled.

The three of them enjoyed dinner. They found they he listened when being to talked to. Olivia had placed a call to Dr. Phil who had sent her recommendations for therapist for both Samantha & Sheldon. He read the reports and agreed with Olivia that more than likely with a better living environment and more one on one time he would catch up.

That night they learned he didn't like baths. They found out that was one of his punishments was to sit in a bathtub of either scolding hot or ice-cold water.

Fitz was patient with him and helped him in the shower. Fitz read to him since Olivia couldn't really bend down.

He wanted a light on which Fitz was prepared for because he had purchased a night-light for his room. He also didn't close the door. He also put in a CD. He had read an article when Olivia first started the foundation that music will bring comfort to children.

He made his way into the room with his wife who he knew was uncomfortable. She hated baths now because she couldn't get in and out easily. Her feet remained swollen as of late. She didn't like wearing a lot of clothes. She always felt hot.

Fitz rolled with the punches. He came in and helped her into the shower where he washed her hair and her. He sat her on the shower bench while he bathed really quick. He dried her, put lotion on her body, and even did her hair.

He wasn't so good at it initially but now he was a pro. He told her that he wanted to always be able to care for her, and he wanted to be able to take care of his daughter including her hair. He found her a bra and pair of panties.

He & Bri had their nightly chat. Olivia swore her daughter understood because it felt like every time Fitz said okay or something to that effect she would acknowledge with a kick.

They were just laying there enjoying the peace. It was something they did lately knowing that soon that would end.

Olivia turned to Fitz, "Thank you for trusting me. I'm sorry for how I treated you. I don't know why he has such a hold on my heart, but it wasn't fair to expect you to feel the same way."

"Thank you. I meant what I said. I'm scared. I would never forgive myself if I caused him any more harm, but I get it. He is a great little boy, and I think that if he went into the system he would have been labeled and cast aside."

"Dr. Phil emailed me a therapist for him and Samantha, and a doctor to confirm if he really has ADHD. I know our world is about to change, and I threw this in. I feel like I owe you more of an explanation. Everything happened so quickly, and me being selfish didn't think about how you would have to take care of him too with me being so far along. It was wrong."

"Livvie, stop it. The last thing we need is your blood pressure to shoot up. That would be a problem. Sheldon is not a problem. He is not a liability. God saved him. Some days will be better than others, but we have survived worse. When you have time to think you pick every little thing apart. I get it, but we made a decision. A decision I am happy with, and I have faith that we will be okay."

Olivia nodded.

The next three weeks were busy and filled with many ups and downs. They were getting weekly check-ups on Bri who seemed comfortable in her mother's womb.

Samantha was moved to a rehab center. Dr. Phil informed her that she would have a job when she was able to come back.

The first two weeks were hard for Sheldon. Once he realized that his mom was never coming back. The therapist was a huge help. They got into a routine with Sheldon. Things that even when Bri came along would not change. They prepared him for the baby.

By the third week he was starting to settle in. They had taken him to the doctor earlier in the week, and after extensive testing didn't believe he had ADHD. He had many of the same symptoms, but the doctor felt that what they were doing which was trying do things in routine, working with him, and the therapist along with patience, love, and understanding that he would turn out just fine.

They all felt that Fitz was the key. He had picked up a lot of bad habits, and doing some of the things he did from his dad. He thought men were inferior. They could do no wrong.

Fitz could guide him, and Fitz was willing to. They had some sleepless nights, but with a baby coming that was going to be nothing new. Sheldon had captured his heart as well.

Bri due date came and went. She was in love with her mother's womb.

Sabrina was now officially a week late. They had enrolled Sheldon in Page Private School. The school was aware of his history. Olivia felt the school was diverse and he could stay there through middle school. The class sizes were small which would make learning easier for him. He connected really well with the teachers.

Although she was miserable she was up to help Sheldon get ready. He wasn't a morning person, but she was worse when she was his age.

Her mom was going to pick him from school. For the last couple of weeks her mom would come over in the afternoons and pick him up. They would spend time together. Sheldon loved it. Jenny would be around sometimes.

After they got Sheldon off to school they decided to walk some. Olivia couldn't handle lying around another second.

As they were walking in the parking holding hands they just enjoyed being with each other. Sheldon changed their home. It gave it some excitement. They laughed more. They cried more. They were parents.

Out of the blue Fitz said, "We should adopt him."

Olivia looked at him but before she could respond her water broke.

Luckily Fitz was prepared. The bags and seat were already in the car. Thirty minutes later they were at the hospital.

For the next two hours Fitz forgot what his name was. He was now a bastard in various forms, the most hated man on the earth, and other names he had never heard of.

This was hard on him. No matter how much you read it still never prepares you for the moment. She finally gave in and asked for an epidural. He was grateful not for him, but seeing her in pain hurt him.

When he walked in the room 45 minutes later she was back to normal again.

Olivia turned to face him and she had tears in her eyes, "I'm so sorry baby. That was me, but not me."

Fitz nodded, "I'm still here. A little wounded but here. How do you feel?"

"A lot better now that the medicine has kicked in."

"Good I called and updated everyone. They are all excited."

"Me too. Did you mean what you said earlier?"

Fitz had to think and then he remembered, "Yes, I meant it. I know we are not completely out of the woods with Sheldon. We have the means, the resources, and the love to get him through this. I can't uproot him again. Our moms love him. Samantha can see him whenever, and I think that if he is taken away from her emotionally she will crumble."

Olivia smiled through her tears, "Baby if you are sure then I'm all for it. It is a welcomed surprise I guess you would say."

"It is baby. I love you."

"Love you too"

Three hours later Olivia was finally fully dilated, and it was finally time to welcome Sabrina. After 45 minutes of pushing Olivia was tired. She was ready for this to be over.

Fitz held her hand, "Baby one more big push and she is here. You got this baby. You are Olivia Grant, and there is nothing you can't do. You have been through the worst. Now it is time for you to enjoy the best."

That encouragement was all she needed. Two big pushes later she heard her. She heard Sabrina cry for the first time, and that sound was everything. For the longest time the sound of Jake smacking her around was that sound she couldn't get out of her out. Now as she listened to Sabrina that last little bit of Jake left for good.

It was surreal but she heard her husband sob. It was a different cry. It was emotional and real. She watched him cut the cord.

Sabrina Elle Grant was born on Monday September 7th, 2015 at 5:45 P.M. She weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and she was 18 inches long.

Olivia woke up to a scene that she would never tire of. That was her husband holding their daughter. He was so mesmerized with her. She didn't have a lot of hair, but what she did have was light brown. She had not seen her eyes, but she had her pouty lips.

She heard Fitz say, "Sabrina Elle I have been dreaming about this moment for years. You are my miniature version of your beautiful mom. Between the two of you I am doomed. I can never say no, but that's okay. I don't want to. You were worth the wait. I got your mommy back, and now I have you. We didn't plan it, but you have a big brother. We will be a happy family. Don't worry you will get to be the big sister down the road."

Fitz looked up and Olivia was smiling at them.

He walked over, "Bri, mommy's up. She is really to hold you."

Olivia smiled as he put Sabrina in her arms. Instantly all felt right in the world. God made sure that her first child was with a man who loved and respected her. All of the pain she went through led her to this.

After a few minutes in her arms she began to fuss. It was time for her first feeding. Olivia remembered everything she was told in her classes. The main thing they told her was to stay relaxed. Even if she didn't latch on immediately don't tense up. The baby could feel it.

The first two times were unsuccessful, but Olivia remained calm and talked to her daughter. The third time she latched on and everything was fine.

Fitz watched his wife feed her, and it was beautiful. Olivia was finally a mother. She had a family. She was happy. Sheldon was going to remain with them life was good.

A little while later their moms showed up with Sheldon. The new grandmothers were gushing over their granddaughter.

Sheldon kind of stayed back. Olivia noticed.

Olivia asked him to come over. After a minute he finally did. Fitz pulled him on his lap so he could see Sabrina.

When he held her finger she didn't let go. It was cute to see.

Sheldon looked at Fitz, "I have to go now right."

They were confused.

Fitz looked at him, "Where are you going buddy?"

Sheldon had tears in his eyes, "Now that baby is here you don't want me anymore right?"

Their hearts hurt. He thought he was being sent back now that Olivia had the baby.

Fitz held him and for the first time they saw him really break down. Not because of a tantrum or fear from something that happened. He thought they were done with him.

Fitz had him look at him, "Buddy you are not going anywhere but home to get ready for school. Liv & I talked today and we are going to sign some papers so you can stay with us forever."

"So I get to stay in my car room and go to school. Nana is going to pick me up from school."

"Yeah and you get to be a big brother and help us with Sabrina."

"When daddy shoot mommy the lady at the hospital said no one would be my new mommy and daddy cuz I slow."

Olivia turned her head to fight the tears.

Fitz took a deep breath, "Well that is not true buddy. Liv and Fizzy are here to stay. You are staying with us."

"So you will be my new mommy and daddy. I can have one like my friends."

Fitz looked at Olivia. He didn't know how he would react to them being his mommy and daddy, with him being so young it made sense to him so they would go with it.

Fitz nodded, "Yes we would be your new mommy and daddy, but you don't have to call us that."

"But I still stay"

"Yes Buddy"

"Okay"

The grandmothers left with Sheldon after a while and it left them. Sabrina was taken back to the nursery.

Olivia was exhausted, but she didn't want to go to sleep. That would mean the day is over.

Fitz kissed her forehead, "Sleep sweet baby. This is our life now, and you need to sleep. You did it baby. You did all the hard work now rest."

Olivia nodded. As she was going to sleep she said, "I didn't do the hard work at all. You did when you save me, and told me you still loved me."

A/N-So Sabrina is here, but I threw in a surprise. I hate that Miriam died. I can't say that was my original plan, but I read a lot and watch the ID channel. It got my muse going, and this is where ended.

They had a disagreement over Sheldon, but like Olivia said they worked through it. I am interested in what you guys think even though they worked it out.

Up next Olivia takes on a client that may cause problems. Any guesses? There is also going to be a time jump.
