I'm so sorry for not updating for almost two months. Every single day I never have time to write a new chapter. I'm always busy, run some errands, all that. And also I have a Xbox One, which is also getting be distracted. Also, I had bought the new Transformers game Rise of the Dark Spark. I haven't finished the game yet, and it's really an awesome game.
I'll try to write more often, if I can. I don't write chapters on the days I go to work, which is on Friday to Sunday.
Chapter 24: Predatory
It hasn't been a minute since they arrived at their destination, and Sam is already being attacked by mosquitos. He swung his arms left and right like crazy, trying to get the disturbing bugs away from him, letting out frustrated grunts as he did so.
"If I had known there would be mosquitos here, I would've brought insect repellent." Sam spoke more to himself than to Arcee. "I mean, seriously. Why are they not extinct? The mosquitos are useless in this world. The only thing they're good for is spreading diseases and killing living beings. And that means I'm done for. I should've had Jack come along and have the mosquitos bother him instead."
"Don't be so dramatic, Sam. You can't get any diseases from those mosquitos. You're immune to diseases." Arcee said, her optics trained on the scanner.
"How can you be so sure, Arcee?"
"Ratchet said so. You have Energon in your veins. They can easily destroy any of your Earthly diseases, and thus making you immune."
"Has he proven this theory?"
"No. He calls it a hunch."
"Way to make me feel reassured, Ratchet." Sam grumbled.
Arcee stopped walking and looked down at Sam. "Don't worry, Sam. Of all your 16 years, not once have you gotten sick. These bugs can't do anything to you, except give you skin rash."
"Thank you, Arcee, you made me feel all better." Sam deadpanned as he start scratching his arms subconsciously.
"Anytime, Sam." Arcee smiles as she continues to walk. She paused when her scanner began beeping rapidly, making her stare at it in confusion. "That's odd. Ratchet's satellite scans were accurate, but subterranean Energon deposits don't cause this kind of surge."
The two began to walk down the path in the forest to locate the strange deposits that gave off a strange reading. When the two reached by the edge of a cliff, they found a large trail mark on the forest ground, surrounded by broken and tilted trees.
"What could've happened here?" Sam asked as he looked around at the small destruction of the forest.
"Crash landing." She replied. "Stay behind me, low and close." She tells him with caution. A crash landing could possibly be a Decepticon has arrived on Earth. Or an Autobot refugee. But it's probably a Decepticon.
The two followed the trail, keeping themselves hidden until they reached the end of the trail. Up ahead was a giant crashed spaceship, surrounded by broken trees and thick fogs.
"Autobot or Decepticon?" Sam asked.
"Can't tell. Wait here." Arcee took out her blaster and slowly began her approach to the crashed ship, looking around just in case of an ambush if it really is a Decepticon ship.
Being defenseless right now, Sam looked around his surrounding to see if he spots any friend or foe. He then felt a shiver of excitement run through his spine. This feels like one of those Predators movies. They're in a foggy forest, alone with a crashed landed ship from space. This is exactly like the movie. He snapped out of his daydreaming when he spotted Arcee exiting the ship, walking weakly. He quickly rushed to her, calling out her name in worry, but his calls fell on deaf ears.
After leaving the ship, an old memory had been triggered, a memory Arcee so desperately wants to forget. In her little flashback of that tragic day that scarred Arcee was a menacing figure with giant spider-like legs, approaching towards a motionless body. The figure hissed with a wicked smile, raising her sharp talon, and slashed the body. Energon was spilled onto the wall as a result. She quickly shook her head to stop remembering that day.
"Arcee, what's wrong?"
"I know who this ship belongs to." She answers gravely before quickly contacting base. "Arcee to base. I need a GroundBridge, ASAP."
Sensing the desperation in her tone, Sam became even worry. "Arcee, what's going on? Whose ship is this?"
Arcee ignored Sam's question as she tries to contact base for a GroundBridge to send Sam back. But all she got are statics. "Scrap. Com link's dead. The ship's got to be transmitting a high-frequency scrambler pulse." She commented as she begins to walk to the other direction.
Sam jogged right after her. "Arcee, wait up. What's gotten into you all of the sudden?"
But his questions and worries fell on deaf ears as Arcee's sight landed on a path where all the trees are covered with scratch marks. Narrowing her optics, she ventured forward, keeping her guard up for any surprise attack from her old nemesis. She kneel down and traced the ground with her hand and looking down at the destructive path of the forest.. A memory rushed towards her, seeing herself dangling with her arms up cuffed to the ceiling and her legs tied together. She heard footsteps approaching to her. Even though she can't see in that dark room, she knows who those footsteps belongs to. A sharp finger was raised up to her face, dripping with acid. Arcee screamed when those acid finger began scratching her metal frame, causing a loud screeching sound, as a result.
"Arcee."
Arcee jumped slightly at Sam's touch. Fearing for his safety, she transforms back to her motorcycle form, revving up her engine. "Climb on!"
Confused as he is already, he climbed on without objections. Before he could put on his helmet, Arcee took off at high speed. Sam started letting out yells as Arcee went fast and maneuvered through the forest, and then jumped over a long, wide ditch. After Arcee screeched to a halt, Sam climbed off, looking displeased by Arcee's sudden action.
"As much as I like that and hope we can do it again, was that really necessary?!" He asked.
As always, Arcee ignored his question and began contacting base again, hoping she could reach them now that they're far away from the ship. "Arcee to base." And again, all she got was static. "Scrap!"
"Look, I don't know what going on with you, but if it's danger you're worry about, I've seen and been in danger before. So what's the big deal on this one?"
"Wait here. I mean it this time." Arcee orders.
Sam scoffs in annoyance. "There you go again, always ignoring my question. Why don't you tell me what's gotten you so worked up? We're partners on this, aren't we?"
"No, Sam, you're my human brother. You're only here because this was supposed to be no-risk. Got it?" Arcee turned back to the path they came from and transformed back to her vehicle mode and drove off to the same path, leaving Sam alone on the other side of the ditch.
Once Arcee disappeared from his vision, with his face set with determination, he began to follow her. As he reached to the ditch, he examined how deep it is and how wide it is. It's too wide to make a jump, and if he misses a jump, he'll land painfully on those pointy rocks. He may have steel bones thanks to Shockwave's experiments, he'll still feel the pain of landing on the rocks. They'll probably pierce his skin. So his best bet is to climb down the ditch, then climb back up to the other side. Grunting, he starts climbing down.
Once Arcee was far away from Sam's position, she transformed out of her vehicle mode, her cannon equipped, and began to scout the area for her. As she turned, she spotted a tree, being eaten by acid. This has triggered another part of Arcee's memory.
It was back when Arcee was in Cybertron during the Great War. The sounds of weapons firing were heard all around Arcee's position as she runs through ruined buildings while avoiding getting blasted.
"Arcee to Delta Team. Requesting rendezvous coordinates. Do you copy?"
"Arcee, are you lost again?" A male voice teased through the radio transmission. "Your sense of direction could use some improvement."
"So could your aim, Tailgate." Arcee retorted back. "If you'd tagged that sniper back at the artillery depot, I wouldn't have had to break rank and engage the enemy hand-to-hand."
"From the sound of things, I'm guessing you came out ahead."
"Try waiting up for me this time, and I'll give you the blow-by-blow. What's your position?"
"About half a click from the depot, due north. Think you can find it, partner?" He asked with a challenge.
"Trust me, Tailgate, my navigation abilities are - Uh!"
Arcee never got to finish her sentence as she let out a gasp and yell of surprise as a sticky web-like substance shot out of nowhere and pinned her to the partially destroyed wall. The last thing she saw was a figure, walking on six giant legs, like a spider, before she is blindfolded by another web attack.
Later, she finds herself chained up as she tries to break free of her binds. Footsteps was heard from behind her, making its way in front of Arcee's view.
"Piece of advice - Make yourself comfortable. You're going to be here for awhile."
Arcee's captor walked towards her, with her acid-emitting talon raised up to her face, and scratches slightly under her left optic, leaving a sizzling mark on her cheek.
On a different part of the forest, there is a small campsite nearby. Approaching to the campsite is the new arrival to Earth. It's the same person that keeps popping up in Arcee's memory. Using her x-ray optics, she spotted a camper inside the tent.
"My first local." She announces with excitement. "Time for humankind to feel my sting."
Now, unlike all other Autobots and Decepticons transforming into their vehicular form, she retracts her legs together, and then uses her six giant spider-like legs to walk slowly towards her unsuspecting prey. As she jumps to strike, she's tackled by Arcee, and the pair roll downhill to a clearing. Arcee was slammed to a cliff, while her opponent was feet away from her.
The spider-like robot got up and was amused to see an old familiar Autobot.
"Arcee. Small universe."
"Too small, Airachnid." Arcee added.
"You're still holding a grudge? The war's been over for megacycles." Airachnid stated as she walks around.
"Tell that to the Decepticons."
"These days, I travel solo in pursuit of my new hobby."
Arcee's face twisted into a disgusted look as she remembers what she found inside Airachnid's ship. So many disembodied heads of different kinds of species, one of each kind, inside giant tubes.
"I got a look at your souvenir case."
"You mean my trophies. I collect endangered species. Of course, they aren't really endangered...until they meet me. And I have a slot reserved for human." Airachnid smirked wickedly.
"Not gonna happen." Arcee declares as she charges at Airachnid, landing on top of her.
Airachnid used her spider legs to throw Arcee to the cliff. She quickly got up and began firing at her. Airachnid jumped on to a tree and shot webs at Arcee's arms together. Arcee used the opportunity and pulled Airachnid down to ground level. Arcee used the blades on her knee to cut herself free from the webs, and continued shooting.
Airachnid retaliates by shooting at her, as Arcee runs towards her, jumping from tree to tree, and then jumped off and stomped Airachnid. Arcee took out her weapons, powering it up, ready to finish off the one who caused her suffering, but both heard the sound of small rocks tumbling downhill. Both looked up and saw Sam carefully sliding down hill. With her guard down, Airachnid punched Arcee and webbed her to a nearby rock.
"Arcee!" Sam yelled as he rushed to her. He stopped, though, when he spotted Airachnid staring at him with a dangerous gleam in her optics.
Arcee was quick to think, as she switched to her blade and cut a piece of the web, so that her arm is free and shot at Airachnid, sending her few feet away and knocking her out.
"I told you to wait for me!" Arcee yelled at Sam.
"Well, family don't ditch family. Same goes with partners." Sam retorted as he used his blade to cut the web.
"Get this through your head - you're not my partner. You're my human brother."
"That's true, but there's more to it. I can see it in your eyes. It's the same one I had when the Decepticons took me for their sick experimentation. You're afraid, Arcee, and you're never afraid."
"You know, for and Autobot, your resilience is quite impressive." Airachnid praised. "In fact, I'm guessing that no matter what I do to you, you'll never crack. Am I right?"
Arcee responds was a glare, which made Airachnid's smirk grew bigger. "That's what I thought."
The door to the cell opened, and two Vehicons are dragging a severely battered body, which revealed to be Tailgate when Arcee said his name in worry. The Vehicons put Tailgate in cuffs and raised him up.
"What have you done to him?" Arcee demanded.
"Not much...yet. Just tell me what I want to know, or...well...you're a smart 'Bot. I think you can imagine what happens to Tailgate next."
"I don't know the attack coordinates." Arcee quickly replied. Airachnid was displeased with the answer and walked away from her. "I swear upon the AllSpark it's the truth." Arcee added.
"We shall see."
Airachnid continues to walk away from Arcee to Tailgate. Realizing what Airachnid planning to do right now, she tries to squirm and begged in pleads as Airachnid raised up her talon, and slashed down at Tailgate and kills him.
"TAILGATE!"
"You're right, Sam. I am afraid...of losing you again!" There was only fear in Arcee's confession that Sam was able to pick up.
It's no surprise that she's afraid of losing him again. Sam knows that the other Autobots must feel the same way. Ratchet and Optimus may not show it, but he knows they don't want to risk losing him again. Even Bumblebee confessed to him a few days after his rescue. He confessed that he's terrified of losing him, and that he demands that he should stay by Sam forever, as his eternal guardian. Sam finds it sweet that Bumblebee would dedicate his whole life to protect him, and he agreed to his demand. Although, Bumblebee wasn't asking permission. Even if Sam or Optimus say no, Bumblebee will forever be at Sam's side and risk his spark to protect him. Sam means a lot to him, to everybody.
"You sure have trouble hanging on to your partners, don't you?" Airachnid tormented. "We both know what happened to Tailgate. But I recently picked up some Decepticon radio chatter regarding the passing of Cliffjumper."
At the mention of Cliffjumper, Arcee let out a small gasp, and Sam clenched his fists.
"At some point, you really have to ask yourself, Arcee, 'Is it them, or is it me?'"
"Do you get it now, Sam? She's not interested in me. She hunts indigenous species, and she's on Earth. That means humans. You! Run!"
Doing as he is told, Sam begins to run towards the forest, looking back at Arcee once in a while in worry. It really hurts that the only thing he can do from now on is to run.
Airachnid laughs as she got closer to Arcee. "And that's why I now prefer to work alone." Airachnid slams her talon near Arcee's head as she placed her razor-sharp finger under Arcee's chin to force her to look at her. "It's so sad when bad things happen to those close to you. But don't get me wrong. I fully intend to snuff out your spark. And, believe me, I will make it hurt. But that won't compare to the pain you'll feel knowing I'm adding your human - brother, you say? - to my collection."
With that said, Airachnid slowly starts chasing Sam, giving him at least a head start. Arcee screams Sam's name in agony as she is stuck to the cliff, while Airachnid chases after Sam.
It has already became dark, which makes it very scary in the forest, being chased by a giant spider robot. Reminds him of the Slender Man game, The Eight Pages, he once played. As he continues to run, Airachnid is not far behind.
"That's the spirit, Sam. Play hard to get."
As Arcee tries to get herself free from the webs, she screams in agony, her mind flashes back to when Airachnid killed Tailgate. Seeing Tailgate die in front of her had severely damaged her emotionally. She didn't even try to move when Airachnid moves in to kill her. But before she could killer her, the cell door was blasted, and Bumblebee barged in and shot down the Vehicons. Aircahnid hissed and escaped.
Cliffjumper came in and helped Arcee down. Once Bumblebee was finished, he went to Arcee's side and helped her walk out of the place, while Arcee kept on lamenting that she couldn't save her partner.
"I'm sorry, Sam. I never should've looked back. I should've... kept driving." The fearful tone she had is now changed to determination. Her lament gives her the insight she needs to free herself, pulling at the webbing enough to transform to cycle mode and peel out at full throttle, eventually breaking her bonds.
Meanwhile, Sam continues to run, panting heavily as he jumped over a log and tripped from tiredness. That, at least, gave him time to rest a bit to regain his breathing. He jumped when he heard howling in the distance. He completely forgot that he was in a dark forest, filled with meat-eating animals. Let's not forget running away from a giant, scary spider. He heard metal clanking and footsteps approaching, and he quickly hid under a log he jumped over, holding his breath.
Airachnid hissed in delight as she placed her hands on top of the log Sam is currently hiding. But she continues to move on. Sam let out a tiny breath of relief when she started to leave. Two of her talons stopped in front of him, and Airachnid's face popped up from above, right close to his face.
"Hello, Sam." She greeted with a smile.
Sam let out a scream at the sudden appearance of her face. He scampers over the log and begins to run once again. Airachnid shots one of her web at Sam, but missed. She did it on purpose, as a means of scaring Sam a bit more, and not wanting the chase to end so quickly.
Sam halted when he approached the same ditch he had crossed over before. Without wasting time, he starts climbing down, and then climbed back up on the other side. He scolded himself, saying that he should've brought the grappling gun with him. Once he reached the top, Airachnid was behind, and he ran faster. Airachnid paused to give Sam a few seconds head start, before she jumped over the ditch.
Sam hid behind a tree and starts to regain his breath. He took out his blade and looked it, then he groan as he banged his head against the tree. "Why do I always come unprepared for this kind of stuff?" Once he regained his breath, he starts running again.
"You're making this too easy, Sam. And I do not enjoy being bored." Airachnid stated.
The chase has led her back to her ship, with Sam heading right towards it. Airachnid hissed as she approaches to her ship. "Now, where did you scamper off to?" She looked around the area before she moved on to the other side of the ship. She retracted her six spider legs and is now walking on her own two legs, going insider her ship, believing Sam went to hide inside the ship. "If you wanted a tour, Sam, all you had to do was ask. Did you spot the empty space? I hope you like it. It's where you'll soon hang your head."
But too bad for her, Sam has been outside all this time, heading to the back of the ship. While Airachnid's inside her ship, Sam could use this opportunity to run far away from the ship before Airachnid figures out he wasn't in the ship all this time. While clambering through the trench left by the ship's landing, he finds a puddle of Energon leaking from a port on its underside. Remembering Ratchet's lesson about Energon, he thought of a devious plan that might get rid of Airachnid.
Grabbing a nearby stick, he uses his blade and a rock together to ignite the stick. The noise got Airachnid's attention, and she rushes out her ship, running on top of her ship. Sam waited for the stick to catch on fire, before he threw the stick to the port, and ran like crazy.
Airachnid arrived just in time to see Energon catching on fire. She yelled out Sam's name before the ship exploded. The blast sent Sam flying to the top of the trench. Sam felt calm seeing the destroyed ship. Airachnid was still on that ship, and the explosion would definitely killed Airachnid. He picked up his blade that was beside him, and stood up, walking back into the forest. He can't wait to tell Arcee that he defeated Airachnid.
That was short-lived when a web attached to his leg. Sam looked up at the trees, and spotted a still-burning Airachnid. She launches another web attack on Sam, pinning him to a nearby tree. Airachnid climbs down the tree and moves closer to Sam's personal space.
"You will pay for destroying my ship and my trophies, with your life." She hissed angrily as she scratches Sam in the same manner she did with Arcee, minus the acid.
Sam screamed in pain, feeling his skin being cut by Airachnid's sharp finger. He was at least grateful she didn't use acid.
Airachnid hissed in delight, loving the scream Sam is letting out. But that changed when she spotted Energon trickling down from the cut. She added pressure on to make more come out. When she tasted it, she hummed in delight.
"This is Energon." She stated. "I was sure you would have a different kind of blood in your veins. All the other species I've collected have different type of blood. And Energon is our blood, not humans. Seems like the Autobots has a very rare type of human in their ranks. You would make a perfect hostage." She said as she traced her sharp finger on Sam's cheek.
Before she could move in to capture, Arcee came barreling through the trees and beats her with feet and fists, finally sending the Decepticon flying through the forest, creating her own trail of debris.
"Sam? Are you okay?" Arcee asked in worry as she pulled the web off of Sam.
"Yeah, of course. I've been worse than this." Sam commented casually.
Arcee smiled in relief. But then they hear the sound of drilling, and find Airachnid has burrowed into the ground and escaped. Arcee went after her, shooting down at the hole and yelled her name in anger. "So much for closure." Arcee said sarcastically.
"Now Airachnid's stuck on Earth. I guess I messed it up right there."
"I'm sorry you had to face my demons today. You were pretty fearless there, Sam."
"Actually, I was terrified. It's like being part of a video game or a movie. And mostly for you. I don't want to lose you, Arcee, or the others."
Arcee smiled fondly. "The same goes for us, Sam. Ratchet, requesting GroundBridge." Now that Airachnid's ship is destroyed, so is the scrambler pulse.
A mosquito came buzzing towards Sam. He waited until it landed and squashed it.
"Need to get my partner far away from any oversized insects."
"Partner, huh?" Sam asked smirking.
"Junior partner. I can still pull rank."
"Aw, come one, Arcee. I'm your favorite and adorable pipsqueak. Don't I get the special treatment?"
"Nope."
"You're mean, Arcee." Sam pouted as the two start walking towards the GroundBridge.
"Thanks for the compliment."
As soon as the two arrived back at base, Sam was attacked by a weeping Bumblebee. Sam let out a startled yelp and was now face-to-face with Bumblebee.
"What's the matter with you?"
"Please, change me back to my original paint." Bumblebee pleaded.
Sam frowned and crossed his arms. "No. I'm still mad at you for what you did. And what's gotten into you?"
"He's acting like this because of what happened today." Mikaela explained.
"What happened?"
"Some guys came up to me, we talked a bit, and then, according to Bulkhead, one of the guys slapped Bee's behind." Mikaela explained while laughing a bit.
"Wait. How did they know where his behind is?"
"They didn't." Bulkhead replied next. "It was just a lucky guess."
"And they even called him a girly car." Rafael added.
Sam smirked at the information he had received. Wished he would've seen that. "Well that's good. It's his punishment, after all. He deserves this kind of treatment."
"Please, Sammy, forgive me. I'm sorry for forgetting you. I promise I'll never do it again. I'll stick by you and never leave you out of my sight." Mustering up the last remaining of his pride, Bumblebee went down on his knees. "Please, Sam, can you give me another chance?" Bumblebee's optics began to grow bigger, and started to leak.
Sam gasped, knowing what strategy Bee is using against him. It's the same puppy-dog eyes that Sam always use against Ratchet. That stealer is using his own strategy against him. He quickly closed his eyes and turned his head to the other side.
"I know what you're doing, Bumblebee, and it's not going to work against me." Sam twitched when Bee let out a pathetic whimpering.
Damn it. Sam's always weak against Bee's whimper. It makes him want to hug Bumblebee like a teddy bear. And Bee knows it. That's why he's using it against him. But Sam is strong. He is not going to give in. But Bee continues to make that sound, and it's starting to work against Sam. Now the whimper is even louder and closer, and Sam is starting to weaken his resolve. His body starts shaking, and one last whimper from Bumblebee made Sam explode.
"Alright, fine! I forgive you, damn it! And I'll change you back to your original paint! Happy now?!" Sam screech at the top of his lungs.
Bumblebee let out a happy cheer, repeatedly saying 'thank you', and starts kissing Sam all over his face with his covered lips, making all kinds of kissing noises.
"Yeah, yeah. I love you, too, you overgrown baby." Sam grumbled, letting Bee kiss him all over his face. After Bumblebee finished showering Sam with kisses, he placed him on his shoulder. "And where's Jack? He better not do the same thing Bumblebee did. It won't work on me the second time."
"He's in your kitchen." Miko replied, pointing down the hall.
Sam sighed, asking Bumblebee to put him down. "I'm sure he's trying to get me to forgive him." He says to himself as he starts making his way to his corridor. And it seems that Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and the kids decided to follow him, all wanting to see what Jack would to for Sam's forgiveness.
The only Autobots remaining at the control center are Arcee, Ratchet, and Optimus.
"And what's this about an oversized insect?" Ratchet asked with his arms crossed.
"It's a long story..."
Sam reached to his door and let out a breath. He opened his door, and was greeted by candles lighting up the whole room, a small table fit for two in the middle of his room, along with wonderful foods. Everyone gasp in awe at the scenery. Miko, Miles, and Rafael stared at the small table, mouths starting to drool, their stomach growling at the sight of foods.
"It's a romantic dinner table." Mikaela whispered in awe.
"A what now?" Sam asked.
"Nothing." Mikaela shook her head. Figures Sam is clueless to this kind of things.
"Sam, you're back." Jack came out from the kitchen area with some drinks.
"Jack, what's all of this?"
Jack looked away nervously. "I figure that you would still be mad at me once you came back, so I decided to make you something special, as a way of me asking for your forgiveness. I know what I did was wrong, and it might hurt your feelings, but it really makes me sad to know that you're mad at me, and for accidentally forgetting you. So I made this, hoping that you can forgive me."
Sam smiled, walking closely to Jack. "It's better than having a giant robot whimpering quite pathetically."
Said giant robot let out said whimpering.
"So...you forgive me?" Jack asked hopefully.
Sam nodded. "As long as you don't make me angry."
Jack smiled brightly and hugged Sam tightly. "Thank you, Sam." He whispered to his ear before letting go. "Now, let's eat, shall we?" Jack went to the dinning table and offered Sam a seat.
"Quite the gentleman, aren't you?" Sam commented as he sat down.
"Very. Oh, I almost forgot." Jack looked back at the unwanted visitors. "Get out, all of you."
"What!?" Miles shouted. "But we're hungry. We want something to eat."
"Well, you should've thought of that before we left the store." Jack said as he started pushing everyone out.
"But you were rushing us. We didn't have time to grab a bite."
"Tough luck." Once he has the kids out, he looked at Bumblebee, who remain in his place. "Please leave, Bumblebee." He said kindly to him.
Bumblebee shook his head and remain on his spot.
"Bumblebee." Sam made a shooing motion with his hand. Bee whined and left the room.
Once he left, Jack closed the door and made his way to the table.
"You don't have to kick them out."
"I know. I just want us to be alone. Now, let's eat."
Sam grabbed his fork and stared at his plate of onions, steak, potatoes, scramble eggs, and sliced tomatoes. "Did you made this?" He asked, pointing the food with his fork.
"Yep." He said proudly.
Sam remained unconvinced. "Are you sure you didn't had help or had anyone do it for you?"
"Well... I did let Mikaela do it for me, but she was terrible at cooking. The food she made, I don't think it's real food." Jack shuddered in disgust.
"I heard that, you bastard!" Mikaela screeched at the other side of the door.
Sam rolled his eyes and smiled, knowing there's more than one that is listening by the sound of those shushing.
"So i decided to try and make all of this on my own."
And you did this whole thing the whole day I was out?" Jack nodded. "Impressive." Sam said. Sam took a bite of Jack's food and hummed in delight. "And delicious. I love it. Guess working at a fast-food restaurant really pays off."
"Thanks. You know, as they say, 'To win a man's heart, is through his stomach'."
"I don't get it." Sam started at him in confusion.
"Don't worry about. Let's just eat."
Sam smiled and started eating. Jack stared at Sam a bit longer before he, too, start eating. He did a pretty damn well job making this food for Sam. Their very first date was a success.
Yes! Finally I finished. About time.
In case you're wondering about the ending of this chapter, Jack has a crush on Sam. But I'm guessing you all already know that from the previous chapters. Know that this is still a OptimusxSam story.
I like to thank you all for waiting patiently for this chapter. I've read reviews telling me to update. Know that I am doing the best I can on my busy days, and know that I will never neglect my stories. It's just that I'm very busy every day.
The next chapter is Sick Mind. Now, what should I do about the next chapter?
I promise I will try to update the next chapter. Remember, I'm very busy right now. Know that I will write on my free time, or when I'm bored.
See ya.
