How Taking Down Legacy Failed

I woke up, but this time, I didn't wait for John to wake up, for today, I had plans! With my new best buddy Cody! Hopefully it wasn't going to be awkward and that me and Cody can become quite close! I've never hung out with Cody, just the two of us. There has always been someone around to watch us argue. Maybe I could find out some stuff about Randy from Cody, but I won't persist in getting information because today, I just wanted to have fun. I wanted to get out of this hotel for a few hours, forget all the shit that has been happening lately and just concentrate on having a good time. That's all I want.

I didn't wake John by getting changed and once I was dressed, I left. I walked down to the lobby to see Cody was already there.

"Buddy!" I squealed, he turned to me and rolled his eyes jokily. I went in for a man hug, it was returned! First Ted, now Cody, I am working my way up the Legacy men!

"Ready to go?" He asked me, I nodded and we made our way to the car park. We passed a few fans on the way; they must have been confused to of why Mickie James and Cody Rhodes were hanging out together. Not a sight you see everyday! But I was sick of having to worry about publicity if I hung out with Ted or Cody, I couldn't keep the secret forever and John knew now. I don't care if DX find out; they abandoned the idea of taking Legacy down awhile ago so there is no reason why I can't hang out with them.

"Nervous about your date?" I asked him trying to make conversation, I wanted to start a jokey argument and if he responded the way I wanted him to, it could happen!

"No" He replied, I bet he was lying!

"With that face, I would be! OOOOOO" I cussed him, he turned to me with a not amused look upon his face. I gave him a cheeky grin; he rolled his eyes and pulled out some gum from his glove pocket. I stared at him.

"What?" He asked me, noticing I was starring.

"I love gum" I said hinting. Cody closed the glove box.

"Well guess who isn't getting any!" He replied looking smug.

"But, but, but I want some gum" I said as if I was a child.

"Well your not getting any" He replied trying to keep his eyes on the road.

"Well" I mocked " I am used to you eating all the food anyway"

"Is that a fat joke?!" Cody asked, sounding insulted.

"No! Of course not!" I reassured him, He nodded his head. "Fatty" I mumbled, his head turning to me quickly. I poked my tongue out.

"You know what?" He asked me, I waited. "Bark Bark" He grinned at his own little joke. He was referring to me as a dog. Very funny Cody! Very funny!

"Munch Munch" I retorted, I know Cody isn't fat, but that's the fun of it!

"I miss this" He said.

"What eating?" I grinned. He glared at me.

"No, the arguments!" He replied.

"Me too Cody, me too!" I said patting him on the back. "I'm going to put the radio on" I was about to, but then I thought, me and Cody could use the time to talk! So I didn't put it on, I just sat back and waited for him to start a conversation.

"Why say something you'll do and then not do it?" Cody asked me gesturing to the fact I asked to put the radio on, but I didn't actually do it.

"I believe it's called, changing your mind" I retorted feeling smart.

I was really bored, Cody didn't like to talk while driving so I decide to ignore that fact and continue to talk to him about random crap!

"You know Cody, I'm tempted to create a facebook group called, 'I don't care if it was on the floor, a free pen is a free pen!"

"Make one then, I'm always taking floor pens" He replied going along with my random conversation.

"Same! I once stopped a whole crowd at the hotel to pick a pen off the stairs" I said keeping it going.

"I found a mont blanc pen the other day" I told Cody, He looked confused as he didn't know what the hell it was.

"It's a kind of pen that costs £100" I told him.

He coughed "Bullshit" And he coughed again.

"Are you calling me a liar Rhodes?" I asked him not amused.

"That's exactly what I am doing, Why would you spend £100 on a pen!?" He asked in disbelief.

"It's like the best pen in the world!" I argued.

"So now there's ranking when it comes to pens?!" He argued back.

"It's the legendary pen, it exists, I heard the rumours Rhodes, but I never believed! Don't click it 3 times, you don't know what will happen" I said freaking Cody out.

"Cody, fate has brought that pen to me to give to you, you are the chosen one, but with that amount of power comes great responsibility" I told him, just making it up on the spot, I didn't have the foggiest clue what I was going on about, I just wanted to piss Cody off.

"It's just a pen Mickie" Cody said to me, giving me a look that meant he was pretty freaked!

"A non-believer!" I gasped.

"Why would someone spend £100 on a pen?" He asked me.

"Because they last forever and it's a peng pen!" I replied. He rolled his eyes.

"Lets get off the subject of pens, whoa, never thought I would have to say that in my lifetime" I laughed, see, me and Cody could talk deep! I didn't need Ted, I didn't need Melina and I certainly did not need Randy.

"Fine, I have a question to ask you" I said to him.

"Go ahead" He replies.

"If someone called you piggy Rhodes, what would you do?" I asked hoping to get another comeback against Sam.

"I would stab you" He growled thinking that I was calling him that. He obviously hasn't seen or heard the things Sam has done to me.

"No, I meant, ok say, someone insulted your friend, calling them piggy, what would you say to defend them?" I asked, I didn't want to have to tell him the reason why I was asking him, I didn't want him to think I was weak and couldn't handle at bitch like Sam.

"I don't know, depends on the person who said it and who they said it to" He replied, I growled, he wasn't making this easy, I just wanted a cuss!

"Someone you hate, about your best friend" I specified.

"I don't know" He shrugged. I slapped my forehead.

"You suck!" I said to him crossing my arms over my chest. "Piggy Rhodes" I mumbled, he glared at me.

"Changing the subject" He growled.

"Ok, have you seen Ghost?! The film?" I asked him.

"Yeah, why?" He replied.

"Did you cry during that?" I asked.

"ER, no" He replied, I gasped in shock, he looked at me.

"You have no soul!" I whined.

"Once again, changing the subject!" How many times did we have to change the subject?

"How about, we prank call someone!" I suggested. He parked the car.

"That is so immature" He scoffed, he then smiled. "Let's do it!"

"Yes, I had faith in you Cody! I always did!" I grinned, he was coming around! "Who should we prank call?" I asked him.

"I have Sam's number?" He suggested.

"Perfect" I smirked. I needed some revenge.

"What can we say?" He asked me, I thought for a moment.

"Well, she has really bad breath" I said to him.

"You noticed too!?" He gasped, Cody had much more to him then I first thought.

"Yeah! Do you think Randy has noticed? How can he not!" I argued, Cody agreed. We had something in common; we both thought Sam had bad breath. Everytime she insulted me, the smell hit my face! It's nasty, how Randy puts up with it, is beyond me!

"Ok, Right, so what can we say?" Cody asked, I thought for a moment.

"Greetings, you have missed the last 16 appointments with the dentist…" Before I even finished, Cody was in hysterics.

"Oh, I got one" He started. "Hello, we would like to do a commercial about bad breath" Cody was pretty funny! I had not realised this!! Looks like Mickie and Cody will be hanging out much more often.

"Let's do it!" I grinned; Cody hid his ID and rang Sam's number. He put it on loud speaker. She had left her phone off.

"Damn, try Randy!" We rang Randy, but his answer phone picked up.

"Leave a message" I told Cody, he nodded. We waited for the beep.

Beep.

"Hello, this is Samantha's mother; we would like to tell you because we think you have a right to know. Our daughter wasn't really a girl when she was born; in fact she was a monkey…hence why she looks ridiculously loads like a monkey!" Cody said putting on a woman's voice. I was laughing so hard! I love Cody! There was a time when I used to say that about Ted, but now it's Cody!

"You know! We should be like the thing out of the orphan 'We are sad to inform you that your girlfriend is a 33 year old Russian serial killer" I joked, Cody laughed. I can see a lot more Cody and Mickie bonding in the future.

"Ted told me another one of his awesome stories" I told Cody.

"Oh do tell" He replied.

"Well, when he was in school, he was walking down the hall alone and looked up to see his old teacher, he was just about to say hi when the teacher flipped him off and said, 'No one will believe you' If that was me, I would of made that teacher my favourite!" I told Cody, who was shaking his head laughing. Oh Ted.

"I have a story! About four years ago, I was on IM and my crush signed in, trying to get him to talk to me, I signed out, then signed back in. He then did the same thing; this went on for a while until he started a conversation with 'I know you want me…" I said, Cody was laughing. "I just told a story like Ted!" I felt so proud!

The car journey was great, but our shopping trip was serious! I got Cody some nice clothes to wear for his date tonight with Ashley; he was going to knock her dead! When we got back to the hotel we were just like best friends! We were laughing, joking around.

"YOU!" We heard a scream; Sam was storming towards us, Randy following behind trying to calm her down.

"Sam just forget it!" He yelled at her, She put her hand up to shush him.

"I know it was you who left that message on Randy's phone!" She growled at me. Both me and Cody looked at each other and tried not to laugh.

"What's message?" I asked innocently.

"You know what I'm talking about Piggy James" I cringed hearing her call me that, Randy stared at me, but he was defending me or anything. He wasn't worth the pain I was going through.

"Listen bitchface…"I started but she cut me off.

"You should really stop talking to yourself" She said laughing loudly, as she laughed her breath hit me in the face, Cody laughed seeing my reaction.

"You think your sooooo funny! But you know what Sam, my foot is funnier!" I told her, she raised her brow.

"That didn't even make sense" She replied.

"Yeah well a lot of things don't make sense to you" I retorted.

"Like what?" She asked.

"Like how to use a toothbrush for one thing" I told her, Cody covered his mouth with his hand to prevent himself from laughing. I felt proud for finally telling her about her bad breath. She breathed on her hand and smelled to check. She glared at us, Randy sighed and just walked away, I don't know whether he was fed up with us or her. I then looked at Cody who then flipped Sam off! She gasped.

"No one will believe you" He said to her, which got me cracking up laughing. She growled and stormed off.

"You know, you still look like your in pain every time you see him" Cody said to me, after we had finally stopped laughing. I looked away from Randy and looked at Cody. Even he had seen how sad I was about how things ended with Randy. We can't even talk now without things being weird. I just want to go back to the start; I wanted things to be how they were with Randy.

This chapter shows the start of Cody and Mickie's new friendship, most of the stuff here happened with my friends so I decided to put that in! John becomes much more of a bastard in this story, so keep reading!
