I'm really sorry that I've taken so long to write this chapter. So many ideas keeps popping up my head, I had to decide which one suits me best. So here's this new chapter I was able to finish. Hope you like it.

Chapter 27: Out of his Head

Sam was abruptly awoken by something large grabbing him. He mumbled out unintelligent words, rubbing his eyes and wiping his drool, trying to find out what's happening. He began touching what ever it is that's holding him. When his vision became clear, he saw a hand.

"Rise and shine. It's time for your checkup."

Sam groaned, knowing who was it that disturbed his peaceful sleep. "Ratchet, can't it wait until tomorrow? I still need my beauty sleep."

"Sorry, Sam, but this is important. I still need to check for any traces of the Cybonic plague. I can't afford to take any more risk involving your health."

Sam had remained silent after that. He could understand where this is coming from. From what Bumblebee told him, he died again. If it wan't for Bumblebee's quick thinking, he would've stayed dead for good. And this time, he wouldn't be there to revive him again.

So Sam started stroking Ratchet's hand to try and calm him down, making sure he knows that he's alive and well, in his hand. Sam was facing straight ahead, he didn't saw the smile forming on Ratchet's lips. He was glad Sam isn't looking at him, or else he would start poking fun at him, not that Ratchet wouldn't mind hearing his constant teasing. It's one of the things he likes about him.

Once they reached at Ratchet's workplace, Ratchet placed Sam on the makeshift bed he made for Sam, and began scanning him. While Ratchet is working, Sam decided to take a nap for awhile, knowing this could take quite some time. But for some strange reason, whenever he closes his eyelids, Megatron's face would pop up for an instant.

"Sam? Sam, wake up."

Sam's eyes slowly opened, and the first thing he saw was Ratchet looming over him. "What is it this time?" He asked. He noticed Optimus, Bumblebee, and Arcee are with him.

"I need you to do one thing for me." Ratchet turned on his flashlight and aimed it at Sam's eyes. "Follow the light for me."

"Why? So you can blind me? No thanks." Sam said, raising his hand to shield himself from the bright light.

"Don't you sass me, boy, just do what I say."

Sam rolled his eyes. "Fine." Sam lowered his hands and did what Ratchet told him to do. He followed the light wherever Ratchet aimed it at.

"Good. Good." Ratchet mumbled. "I wouldn't advise anything strenuous, Sam, but it appears your body has fully recovered from the Cybonic plague."

Sam stretched his stiffed back and looked at Ratchet with a beaming smile. "It's all thanks to you, Ratch. You're the best."

Ratchet looked away, rubbing the back of his neck in a bashful manner. "You should actually thank that idiotic Bumblebee for going into such dangerous lengths to save you." Now, it was Bumblebee's turn to turn all bashful at Ratchet's insulting praised.

"Lucky for us, Megatron was still alive." It took only a second for Arcee to realize what she just said. "Wow. Can't believe I said that."

Ratchet waved his hands. "All that matters is that Sam is alive and well, but still needs some bed rest. Monday you start school."

Sam groaned tiredly as he fell back to bed. He was going to whine his way out of school, liker he always do whenever he gets injured due to Decepticon attack, but the scary look Ratchet was giving him says 'End of discussion'. All Sam can do was pout and agree.

"Would you like an escort to your room, Sam?" Optimus asked. It was quite a dumb question, but it's an excuse to have closure with Sam.

Sam gave a warm smile at Optimus. "I got this from here, big guy. But If I need anything, I'll contact you."

Optimus gave a slight nod. "Very well. I wish you the best of dreams."

Sam left the area to his room, leaving the four to discuss something else. As soon as arrived in his room, that sweet smile that belongs to Sam has transformed into a sinister one.

"It is only a matter of time before Optimus discovers all is not right with his little pet." This voice didn't belong to the young boy, but it belongs to the leader of the Decepticon, Megatron. "I must reclaim my body, which means taking complete and total control of yours."

The weekend has arrived, and all of the gang are present at the base, minus Optimus, Arcee, Sam, and Ratchet. The kids have gathered at the control room, where they are witnessing a basketball game, by way of Cybertron, between Bulkhead and Bumblebee. Instead of using a spherical inflated ball, they used a big ball of scrap metal.

Miko and Mikaela cheered for Bulkhead, while Miles and Raf cheered for Bumblebee. They were all engross with the game, they didn't see Sam coming in, clutching his head in pain. Jack was the first one to spot him. He has been staring down the hallway that leads to Sam's room so that when he sees him, he would sneak away from the others and hopefully spend some time alone with his secret crush.

And that's what he did. Everyone is distracted with the game, they didn't noticed him leaving very quickly. After all, Sam is the most popular one in the group. They all want to hang around with him, and he won't let that. Sam was his first, and he calls first dibs on spending time with him.

As Sam gotten closer, Jack could see something was off with Sam. The way his face was showing pain and clutching his head like he has a massive headache. "Sam, are you alright!?" He yelled through the loud noise.

As soon as Bumblebee heard Sam's named being called out in worry, he lost his footing and threw the ball harshly at the hoop, which bounced back towards Bulkhead. Bulkhead failed to noticed the ball heading to his direction until the ball collided against his chest. But it didn't stop there. To everyone's horror, the ball is heading right towards Sam.

"Sam!" Everyone cried out. Bulkhead and Bumblebee tried to reach for the ball, but it's far from their reach.

Sam opened his eyes and saw a giant ball heading his way. Sam was completely frozen in fear as the ball got closer. Then, all he saw was Megatron and darkness.

Everyone was shocked to what they have witnessed. Somehow, Sam has acquired some superhuman strength that allowed his to punch the ball in two. If they would've looked carefully at his face, they would've noticed Sam's red, fiendish eyes before reverting back to blue. Sam suddenly feels weak and fell down to his knees. Bumblebee was quickest one to get to Sam's side, helping him up on his feet.

"Sam, are you alright?" Bulkhead asked.

Miko slightly slapped Bulkhead's foot. "What kind of a dumb question is that? Of course he's not alright."

"I'm fine, Bulkhead." Sam answered, going back to clutching his head again. At least the headache wasn't hurting that much. "What's going on?" He asked, feeling very confused at the moment.

"Don't you remember what happened?"

All Sam did was stare at Jack while shaking his head 'No'.

"You went all Superman and punched the ball like it was nothing!" Miko yelled excitedly.

"I what?" Now Sam was even more confused.

Mikaela began to explain. "Bulkhead and Bumblebee were playing Cybertronian basketball using a giant ball made out of metal. Bee threw the ball quite hard that it bounced from the hoop to Bulkhead, and then to you. Out of nowhere, you split the ball in two with just a single punch."

"I'm telling you, he went Superman on the ball."

"It's more of a Falcon Punch to me." Miles added.

"I would say Wonder Woman, but he's not a girl." The others laughed at Raf's little joke.

Sam was super confused right now. He looked at the broken scrap pieces and wondered if he really did that. It would've been awesome if he could remember what happened. He must've blacked out again. It's been happening ever since he was cured from the plague. He wanted to tell Ratchet during his checkup yesterday, but he really didn't want to burden them. He'd hoped a very long rest would help, but it seems he still need some very long sleep.

"You want to head back to bed?"

Sam gave a weak smile. "Yeah. Can you carry me to bed? I don't think I could make it on my own."

"Anything for my princess." Bumblebee teased.

"I'm not a princess." Sam mumbled. Sam closed his eyes and began basking himself with Bumblebee's warmth as he fell in a dreamless sleep.

"You taking him to his room?" Bulkhead asked as he noticed Bumblebee walking away with Sam.

"Yeah. He needs to rest some more after what happened today."

Bulkhead nodded in agreement. "Sure, go right ahead. I'll get this place cleaned up."

Bumblebee began walking down to Sam's room, looking down fondly at Sam's sleeping face. He could tell something's not right with Sam. There was no way he could've destroyed their ball and not have a broken hand. He needs to have a word with Ratchet about what happened.

Bumblebee carefully placed Sam on his bed and placed the sheets over him. As he left, he failed to noticed a slight twitch from Sam's body, and those glowing red eyes that illuminates the dark room. Sam sat up, and grabbed a handheld mirror on the nightstand and looked at himself in the mirror. Instead of Sam's own reflection, a ghostly reflection of Megatron's face was shown.

"If I am to return to my body, I must first restore its functionality." He pondered to himself. Being inside Optimus' human pet has its benefits. He could use the boy to destroy the Autobots from the inside. But it would be more satisfying if it were his own hands destroying the Autobots. "How did I escape annihilation?"

Megatron closed his eyes as he begins to remember every single details of his memory of the day he was supposed to perish, and how was he still alive. A memory shows him a hand thrusting itself deep into his chest and pulling out a shard of Dark Energon.

"Of course, Dark Energon." The next thing he saw was Starscream smirking at him while holding the Dark Energon. Seeing that smirking look on Starscream's face made Megatron shake in anger. He smashed the mirror against the wall and yelled in rage that echoed in the room. "Starscream!"

It's Monday Morning, which means it's a start of another school day. Raf waited outside his home for Bumblebee to pick him up, like he always do. But this time, it's different. Instead of Bumblebee showing up, Bulkhead came honking his horn and stopping in front of him.

"Hey, Raf." Miko greeted cheerfully.

Raf was confused seeing Miko and Bulkhead instead of Bumblebee. He got on the backseat and buckled his seatbelt. "Where's Bumblebee?"

"Sam's still isn't feeling well, so Bumblebee decided to stay and take care of him." Bulkhead answered. "He asked me to take you to school. He won't be leaving the base until Sam is all well."

"I see." Raf looked down, feeling slightly disappointed that Bumblebee didn't show up and would rather stay and be with Sam. "Bee really cares for Sam, doesn't he?"

"We all do. But there are some who cares for Sam way more than the rest of us. Like Bumblebee, Optimus, and Ratchet. They made their number one priority to protect and care for Sam, no matter what. Take Bee for example. He infiltrated into Megatron's mind to get the cure to save Sam, not caring what would happen to him for entering that sick, twisted mind."

Hearing what Bumblebee would do for Sam makes him feel jealous of Sam. Bumblebee never does that to him. All they do is hang out playing video games, or just talking random stuff while out on a ride. He want to be special in Bee's eyes and have him do all that stuff to him like he does with Sam.

He shook that thought out of his head. He shouldn't be thinking like that. There's no way he'll want to replace Sam in Bee's life. Sam and Bumblebee have known each since Sam was just a baby. As long as Bee's happy, that's what matter to Raf. Besides, the three of them always hang out at the base, playing video games, helping Sam at the kitchen, or learning computers from Sam. He's happy just the way things are.

Back at the base, Sam has been walking aimlessly, with no designation in mind, his eyes shows no signs of life. He soon wandered into the main area, where he spotted one of Ratchet's equipment. He walks up towards it and simply stares it. His hand reached for his back, and drew out his Blade.

"Yes, go on, my pet. Obey my will." Megatron spoke from within Sam's mind. With the swipe of the Blade, Sam slashed the equipment in halve.

"Samuel!"

That infamous yell has snapped Sam out of his trance-like state. His dead eyes now shining with life. He looked back and saw Ratchet looking angry, as usual.

"I needed that!"

Sam looked back at what he was talking about, and saw a broken tool on the table. Did he really did that, Sam wondered. He was never the one who would destroy one of Ratchet's tools, that job goes to Bulkhead.

"What has gotten into you?" Ratchet knew something's wrong with Sam. Never in Sam's life has he ever destroyed his equipments. Except for that one time when he was a baby, but that's it.

"I…" Sam couldn't say no more as he fell down to his knees.

"Sam." Ratchet quickly rushed to him and carefully picked him up, adjusting Sam so that he lies down on his hands.

"Ratchet, I feel tired."

"Tired? But you've been getting a lot of sleep. There's no way you're tired."

"That's what I thought. But lately, I've been having some blackouts, headaches, nauseous, and also, for some reason, I've been seeing Megatron's face whenever I go to sleep."

"You're seeing Megatron's face?" Ratchet repeated in surprise.

An hour has past since Sam informed Ratchet about seeing Megatron's face and sudden blackouts. Ratchet ordered Sam to lie down on medical bed so he can start examining him for anything. As he waits for the results, he called back all the Autobots and informed them of what Sam has told him so far. Once he got back the results, unsatisfied on the results coming negative, he had no choice but to put Sam to sleep by giving him sleeping pills, hoping that could at least help.

"You said Sam was fine when you checked him over. Why is Sam in pain?" Arcee asked

"My guess is that the Cybonic plague might've damaged a part of his mind. Giving Sam some pills should help his mind to rest and recover."

Just as Ratchet finished his sentence, they are receiving an incoming call. Ratchet picked up the call to find out it was Agent Fowler, looking serious.

"Prime! You spot any Decepticons wearing hula skirts lately?"

"No, Special Agent Fowler. Why?" Optimus looked every confused as to what Fowler just said. He doesn't really get the hidden meaning of those sentence, but it's probably some more weird human term.

"'Cause I was hoping you'd have a lead on the 'Cons that busted into the Kauai Naval Observatory. The place looked like it was hit by an army of wrecking balls."

"Why would 'Cons break into an observatory?"

"Does the Hoit-Nikogosian ring any bells?" The Autobots shook their heads. "It's a space telescope. As of last night, missing its primary lens."

"It's difficult to guess Starscream's intent without knowing where the lens has been taken."

"Good thing the lens has a tracking device."

A map appeared on the screen, which indicates where Starscream has taken the lens. Much to Arcee's dismay, it is a place where she knows best.

"The Arctic? Great. Another chance to freeze our spark plugs off." She cheered sarcastically.

The map zoomed in, and shows a giant purple spot around the area where Starscream and the lens are located. Bulkhead whistled in awe.

"That's a ND-7 class. Biggest unminable Energon deposit there is."

"Unminable until Starscream melts his way down to it."

"With the help of the lens." Arcee added.

"Melting a glacier that size would cause sea levels to rise and demolish coastal cities."

Without any more motivation, the team prepare themselves to travel in the Arctic snow. Minus Ratchet as he needs to stay and check up on Sam for any solution to his problems. They also noticed Bumblebee staring at Sam's sleeping figure. They wondered if he's been motionless during the whole conversation with Fowler.

"You coming, Bee?" Bulkhead asked.

Bumblebee stood there, his optics still staring at Sam. Makes him look like a creep who stares at people while they're asleep. Bulkhead remembers seeing that happened in one of Sam's tv show. It sends shivers down his processors.

"You guys go on ahead. I'll stay here and watch over Sam."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. Somehow, I feel this is my fault for putting Sam in this terrible state of pain."

Ratchet placed a comforting hand on Bee's shoulder. "You are not at fault. This is clearly the side affect of the cure or the plague. In the meantime, if you plan to stay here, don't do anything stupid and let me work in peace. I need concentration if I want to work on curing Sam."

"Deal."

Optimus punched in the coordinates on the GroundBridge panel and opened the bridge, letting the team go through to deal with Starscream from melting the glaciers. Bumblebee watched as the team enters the bridge before going back to Sam and began caressing Sam's cheek.

"I'll make it up to you, Sam. Ratchet says it's not my fault, but my spark tells me it is. And I always listen to my spark when it involves you. If it tells me you're in trouble, I'll come rescue you without hesitation. If it tells me you're sad, I'll do everything in my power to see that beautiful smile on you."

If it tells me to fall in love with you…

"Bumblebee."

Said scout snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Ratchet with optics wide, like a deer caught in the headlights.

"I'm afraid Sam can't hear you while he's asleep."

"Humans believe that those unconscious can hear what other people are saying. Right now, Sam is listening to our conversation as we speak, and he's probably making fun of you for not knowing that."

Ratchet let out incoherent mumbling at that true statement. Even his sleep, he still annoys him. "I'm going to the supply vault to see if I can find parts to repair this." Ratchet said as he showed Bumblebee that damage equipment made by Sam. "You know what that means?"

Bumblebee rolled his optics at him. "Don't touch anything." As Ratchet left Sam and Bumblebee alone, Bee quickly leaned down and gave a light peck on Sam's forehead. "I'll be back in a minute. Jack helped me get a game for you from the store. It's in your room. I'll go get it. You're gonna love it."

Once Bumblebee left to Sam's room, Sam's eyes instantly opened, revealing red eyes instead of blue ones. Sam got up and went to the GroundBridge control to type in a coordinate. He activates it and made his way through. At the same time, Bumblebee arrived and was able to see Sam going though the GroundBridge.

"Sam!" He yelled, but Sam didn't stopped walking, and soon disappeared.

"What did you do!?" Ratchet had arrived just in time to see Sam disappearing through the GroundBridge.

"Why do you assume I did something bad?"

"Do you need me to explain?"

"Point taken. But this time, I didn't do anything. Sam just got up and—"

"He wasn't supposed to wake up so early. He was suppose to sleep for at least a day or two. Where does he think he's off to?"

Sam arrived in a dark, familiar place, filled with dead bodies that are cut in pieces. Sam starting looking around like crazy, almost as if he's looking for something.

"Where is it? Where?!" Sam… no, Megatron shouted. Megatron thought hard to remember during his battle against Optimus. He remembered throwing a shard of Dark Energon down to the ground to resurrect his undead warriors.

Looking to his left, he spotted a purple glowing. He removed the rubble and plucked out the shard of Dark Energon. A normal human would have trouble removing something that was wedged to the ground and twice its size, but with Megatron controlling Sam's body, it has receive superhuman strength. With the shard at hand, he's closer in returning back to his own body.

As Megatron collects his Dark Energon shard, Ratchet studied the coordinates Sam used for the GroundBridge. He recognized the location, but what didn't make sense was how Sam knew of this. He remembered Sam was on a rescue mission at the same time he and Optimus went to stop Megatron.

"These are the coordinates for the site of our previous battle with Megatron's undead." He told Bumblebee.

"We need to call Optimus."

"Optimus is busy preventing a polar ice cap from melting. We need to handle this on our own." Ratchet activated the bridge to go to the location where Sam is, and retrieve him. He stopped as soon as he sees Sam coming back. "Sam? What have you been doing?"

Sam didn't respond. He just kept on walking, ignoring Ratchet's worried calls.

Ratchet knelt down and blocked Sam's path using his hand. As he gotten a better view of Sam, he noticed something on Sam's back. Something he wished he would never see again.

"Dark Energon?"

It was all too quick for Ratchet to react as Sam have actually punched him hard enough to crash to a wall knocked out cold. Bumblebee saw everything and was surprised Sam was able to knock out Ratchet in one blow. But it doesn't makes sense. How can one small human hit so hard to a giant robot without getting a broken hand?

"Sam, what are you doing?"

Sam focused his attention to Bumblebee now. His hair now cover over his eyes as he walks slowly to Bee. Bee stood his ground, ready to capture Sam once he attacks. But he has underestimated Sam's new strength. Sam made a blinking dash between Bee's legs and shot a stun blast at him from behind which shocked him, metaphorically and physically. How Sam got a shock weapon, he does not know. That sneaky boy must be inventing more weapon that can take down giant robots. It make his spark swell with pride. If he wasn't on the ground paralyzed, he'd give Sam a hug.

All he can do now is watch him grab Ratchet's Cortical Psychic Patch prototype and head back to the GroundBridge again. After the bridge closed, he heard Ratchet beginning to groan.

"Ratchet, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. What about you?" He asked as he helped Bee sat up.

"Well, besides losing the feelings of my limbs, I'd say I'm quite peachy." He replied. The feeling of his body is beginning to return slowly.

Ratchet scoffed. "At least you don't feel like you've been punched by a Decepticon." He rubbed his aching cheek. "When did Sam packed a punch like that?"

"Speaking of Sam, any idea what he's up to?"

"No clue. But we need to find out exactly what Sam intends to do with that shard." Ratchet stopped him his tracks as realization struck him. "The only one who knew of the Dark Energon… was Megatron."

"Sam has Megatron's memories?" Though it came out as a joke to Bumblebee, but to Ratchet, it's serious.

"Worse. Megatron is occupying Sam's mind."

"Come again?" Bumblebee heard him, but he doesn't want to believe it. If that's the truth, then…

"How could I have been such a fool? The Cortical Psychic Patch acted a two-way conduit. When you returned to your mind, Megatron followed. But when you entered Sam's mind, he followed again and stayed inside Sam's mind. And now Sam — Megatron — has bridged to nearly the same coordinates Optimus used."

Bumblebee has taken a while for all the new information sink in until he finally snapped. He punched on a nearby wall hard enough to leave a hole. "It's all my fault." He mumbled quietly, but Ratchet heard him. "It really is my fault. I put Sam in terrible danger. I was careless. If I known Megatron followed back to my head, I won't have entered Sam's mind only to allow Megatron free passage as well." Bumblebee shut his optics closed, fighting off the tears that are threatening to fall down. "What kind of a guardian I am if I let someone I love in the hands of a tyrant?!"

"Bumblebee." Ratchet spoke softly, which he rarely does. "Like I told you before, it's not your fault. It's mines. I wasn't doing a very well thorough job when I was checking to see if he's all clear. I should've thought to check mentally more than his health. That includes you, Bumblebee. That could've been you in Sam's place if Megatron hadn't decided to not stay in your head. You've gotten Sam hurt in the progress."

"That doesn't change anything. Everything has been my mistake. I should've taken Sam in the first place. That way, he wouldn't have gotten infect by that plague."

"Then we would still reach to this situation we are now. Either Sam or you would've entered Megatron's mind for the cure if either Optimus or I got infected. Megatron would've followed and start causing trouble in any one of your bodies."

"But…"

"No buts. Sam needs us, and we're wasting time arguing like idiots. If you want to redeem yourself, then let's go save Sam and stop Megatron from whatever he plans to do."

Ratchet is right. He can't be all mopey right now. Sam's in trouble. And he's going to fix the mess he made and beg for Sam's forgiveness. And probably Optimus as well for punching him. With this, they're even.

"Let's go, Ratchet. While it's Sam's job to get himself in trouble, it's our job to go save him."

Ratchet gave a small smile at Bumblebee's determination. "Yes, let's." Ratchet opened the GroundBridge and the two followed to where Sam had went. When they arrived at their designation, they were surprised to see where has Sam arrived.

"The Decepticon Warship."

The two Autobots started running, not intended to sneak in and prevent confrontation with the enemy. But that wouldn't be much of a worry for them. They spotted a row of Decepticons lying on the floor unconscious.

"Did Sam do this?" Bumblebee asked in surprise.

"I fear Megatron's mind is dominant, and clearly he came here for one purpose — To use the Dark Energon to resurrect his own body."

"Sam won't let him."

"As much as I like to believe that, Megatron is free to control Sam's body for as long as Sam's mind lays dormant. But if Sam becomes aware of Megatron's presence, then there might be a chance for him to fight back."

The two ran, with Bumblebee leading the way as he's the only one who knows the location of Megatron's body. When arrived, Ratchet took a peak to see Sam on Megatron's chest, already working on the body and connecting the prototype Patch to his head. Seeing that Sam has already connected the other part of the Cortical to Megatron, Ratchet rushed in to stop him.

"Ratchet, don't hurt Sam!"

"That's not Sam right now!" Ratchet retorted as he went to grab Sam.

Sam did a backflip over Ratchet's head and easily kicked him to the opposite wall. Once's down for the count, Sam went back on working. Bumblebee couldn't just stay back and do nothing. He charged in as well, while yelling out Sam's name, hoping that Sam could hear it and stop Megatron. But alas, it was fruitless. Sam flew towards Bumblebee and knock him down on his back. Sam unsheathe his Blade and raised it up in the air, ready to deal the killing blow. He stopped when he saw Ratchet moving towards Megatron's body.

"Farewell, Megatron." Ratchet sneered before pulling out the cable that connects to the hole in Megatron's chest.

With a push of a small button on his Blade, it extended into a whip with sharp razor barbs from the tip to all the way down the hilt. Sam got off Bumblebee and lashed his whip-like Blade at Ratchet. With just one lash, it left a large gash on Ratchet arm and started trickling Energon.

"Scrap, that fragging hurts like pit!" He yelled in pain. "When did that boy modified that damn blade of his?"

It was too late for Ratchet to react fast as he felt the whip wrapped around his abdomen and threw him to Bumblebee.

"Sam!" He called out again, not giving up on trying to wake Sam up.

Sam slowly turned around to Bumblebee and smiled evilly. "Sam can't hear you anymore!" Instead of Sam's voice coming out, it was Megatron's.

Bumblebee clenched his fist in rage. "As much as I want you to leave Sam's body, I can't let you go back to your own!" Bumblebee withdrew his own Energon blade and attempted to cut the Cortical, but Sam was quick and did the same thing he did to Ratchet on Bumblebee.

With those two out of the way, Sam jumped up to Megatron's chest and slammed the shard inside the gap. The shard buried itself deep inside Megatron's chest. With that done, Sam's body suddenly fell limp. He started rolling off Megatron and to the ground, if it wasn't for Megatron grabbing Sam before he hit the ground.

The two Autobots stares in shock as Megatron rose from the slab, their retreating steps fell in time with Megatron's approaching footsteps. Decepticon reinforcements arrived, only to freeze in shock as well at the presence of their master, alive and well.

"Decepticons… Your rightful Lord and Master has returned!" Megatron proclaims.

He looked at the two Autobots and then back to the body he has in his hands. At first, his first intention was to crush the boy so that the Autobots suffer emotionally. But then, a current memory resurfaced. A memory he has buried a long time ago, back when he was known as Megatronus. A painful memory it was, but also, a pleasant one. It's not only just the memory that resurfaced, but his feelings he had felt for the boy returned as well.

He tired to fight it off, but spending time inside Sam's body made it too strong for him to suppress it. In that certain memory, he sees himself lying down in a wide and beautiful area in Cybertron, staring up at the stars. And snuggling on his chest, was the boy he grew to care for, smiling at him. He remembered Orion asking him to watch over him while he goes run an errand. He was telling the boy about his time as a powerful gladiator and meeting Orion Pax later on. It was one of his happiest memory ever, just him and the boy all alone.

His mind finally returned to the present. He found himself stroking the boy's cheek softly. He stopped himself from showing such affection to his enemy, and luckily, no one noticed it. They were all too shocked by his presence. He walked up to Bumblebee and gave him Sam, but tossed a destroyed Cortical prototype back at Ratchet.

Bumblebee quickly grabbed Sam and hold him to his chest protectively. Seeing that gesture made Megatron remember when he acted like that. He was ganged up by criminals and Megatron held the boy protectively to his chest while he beats them up.

Megatron snarled at Bumblebee for making him remember again. "Leave now or I will personally destroy you!"

They didn't need to be told twice. They quickly transformed and fled.

"Return to your post." He ordered. "I have my own extermination to perform."

As he walks, his thoughts returned to when Orion Pax introduced him to the boy named Samuel, Sam for short. It was weird to see such a small creature on Cybertron. He never even heard of a human species. Which makes sense since the boy educated him that humans aren't around yet. It was the day that these 'Dinosaurs' ruled over Earth.

Earth. It was planet he had never even heard of before, neither has Orion, and he happens to be the smart one. Since then, he has been spending more time with the boy as possibly as he can. He took noticed on how Orion's behavior changed when he first encountered the boy. He started being more talkative, gaining more confidence in himself, and most of all, how Orion acted all possessive whenever he has the boy's attention. That memory alone brought a genuine smile on his face, something he hasn't done in many millennia, not since the war started.

"Megatron's greatest mistake was ever allowing you to live, Prime!"

Megatron snapped out of his daydreaming when he heard Starscream yelling. He found himself outside the ship's hull and seeing Starscream diving down towards Optimus. He was able to hear what Starscream had said and that alone was enough to fuel his anger. He transformed to his jet mode and flew to Starscream and dragged him back to the ship. Starscream began to cower at the presence of his revived Master, glaring down at him.

"Lord…Megatron. You…Are — You're healed! Praise the Allspark. It is a miracle!" He cheered nervously.

"Oh, it will be a miracle, Starscream, if you survive what I have planned for you!"

Starscream knew that was a threat. He knew he would get the worst beating of his entire life. Out of fear for his life, Starscream attempts to flee in his vehicle mode, only for Megatron to grab him by the tail and toss him across the ship's spires. Starscream was forced out of his vehicle form as he landed harshly. He started hyperventilating as Megatron approaches slowly and menacing.

"But the Autobots — Optimus — Right there, waiting for you!" Starscream prays that would be tempting enough for Megatron to focus on them while he tries to flee. But even the promise of nearby Autobots to destroy isn't enough to distract Megatron.

"My greatest mistakes? I've made a few." Another painful memory flashed through his vision. One that shows his greatest mistakes. His greatest mistakes was losing the boy's love to Orion. He has taken too long to court the young boy. Remembering how the two acting so lovey to each other made his rage grow even more. "But there is one I do not intend to make again!" He grabbed Starscream's head and dragged him away while hearing Starscream's scream of anguish and fear echoing all around him.

All the Autobots down below can do now is watch the blazing ship leave.

"Ratchet, we need a bridge."

"You're not the only ones."

Optimus, Arcee, and Bulkhead saw Ratchet and Bumblebee, along with Sam in Bee's hands appearing nearby.

Once they returned back to the base, Ratchet informed the rest of the team about what had transpired right after they left for the Arctic. Even Bumblebee apologized to Optimus for his behavior. He was surprised he was forgiven easily, but as punishment, he has to take double patrol duty for the whole week.

"Everything is back to normal." Ratchet announced as he finished checking Sam for any remaining signs of the plague and he made sure to double check for Sam's brainwaves.

"So why isn't he waking up?" Arcee asked.

"He's still under the effect of the sleeping pill. Give him some time to rest. He needs it after everything he went through."

"Will he remember?"

"Probably, but I wish he doesn't."

"And that superhuman strength of his?" Bumblebee asked.

"Gone. It seems that strength came from Megatron."

Then they heard a moan coming from Sam. Worried for his health, everyone went to check, but all they see is Sam smiling very big with a very flushed face.

"Oh, yes! Harder! Harder!" Sam moaned out.

"Is he…" Arcee stopped, not wanting to continue on.

"Not in my Med-Bay!" Ratchet started scanning on Sam.

"Oh, Optimus, you're so big, you're gonna break me!" Sam yelled excitedly.

Everyone looked at Optimus, seeing he has his battle mask on. They can't really see his expression, but they guess he's probably embarrass.

"Oh, Bee, right there! You're hitting me at my sweet spot!"

Now everyone looked at Bumblebee who was looking frantic.

"You guys are the best! So big, so rough! I love you both!" Sam scream somewhat erotically. And then he yelled very loud as if he reached the climax.

"Wow. I didn't know Sam had that kind of fantasy." Bulkhead teased, looking at Optimus and Bumblebee.

"Well, you can put away that idea of yours, Bulkhead, because it is not what we all are thinking." Ratchet said as he just finished scanning Sam.

"Then what was it?"

"I detect no signs of arousal from Sam. His heart is beating rapidly, but it is not caused by Sam's need of interfacing."

"Then what is it?"

Suddenly, Sam shot straight up, his eyelids only opened halfway. He started smacking his lips and rubbing his tired eyes. "That was the best dream I ever had."

"What did you dream about?" Bulkhead has no shame in asking Sam about something very private. His question earned him a smack by Arcee.

"In my dreams, Optimus and Bee were my personal servants and were giving me the best back rub ever."

Everyone was completely shocked about it. They had thought Sam was having an erotic dream, but all he was dreaming about was a back rub.

"That was it?" Bulkhead asked, feeling disappointed that it wasn't what he thought it was.

"Yeah. Although, how they did it with their big hands I'll never know. I was surprise I wasn't even crushed. No way am I gonna ask them to do it to me in real life. Can't really risk it. One question. Why am I here and why are all you guys here with me?"

The Autobots were glad he changed the subject. Any more and they would make such fools of themselves. Even thought it's quite late for that.

"You don't remember?" Ratchet asked seriously.

Sam closed his eyes to try to remember as much as he can. But for some reason, he feels empty. Like a very huge blank shroud his mind. "No. All I remember is being inside the Autobot crash ship with you and Optimus. The ship moved and from then on, everything is dark. Guess I must've hit my head very hard." He laughed while stretching his head. "How long was I out?"

"Almost a week." Optimus answered.

"Wow. That long. It must've been serious."

"It is. Sam, will you excuse us for a moment?" Ratchet asked, motioning the others to move to a safe location where Sam won't eavesdrop.

"Sure, go. I probably need to go catch up on my homework anyway." Sam said as he left the main hanger, leaving the Autobots to themselves.

"It seems Megatron did something to Sam's mind while he was in there." Ratchet stated with worry crossing his face. It seems memories from him being infected by the Cybonic Plague to Megatron controlling him and resurrecting him were wiped clean from Sam's memory banks."

"But why? What motives does he has for doing this?" Bulkhead asked.

"I don't know. But at least it works well for us."

"How is Sam losing his memory works for us?"

"Because he won't have to remember the day he died again." Was all Optimus said.

Everyone remained quiet. It's true what Optimus said. While the image of Sam's second death still burns in their head, at least Sam won't remember of it all. The best for them all is to keep quiet and never mention to him. That will include the kids as well. They will be inform to keep quiet.

"But that still doesn't explain why Megatron erased that part of his memory and not all of it."

"It doesn't, but for Sam's sake and ours, we should never bring this up. We should forget this ever happened."

Everyone agreed with Ratchet. It was also an awful experience for them to see Sam die again and feeling utterly useless.

But as for Optimus, he remains quiet. Because he knows why Megatron did it. It's probably false hope, but deep down, Megatron, or rather Megatronus, still cares for Sam. After many years of fighting, Megatron still hold Sam dearly to him. Optimus believed that caring part of Megatronus died when he became Megatron. At least there is still a small shiver of light deep within Megatron. But that doesn't means he should let his guard down around him. Megatron still after Sam for experimental needs. And he'll be there to stop him.

Again, I'm really sorry this came out late. I have been stuck a few times, but I try to make it good.

Did you guys like what I wrote here? I have been thinking of future chapters and this idea popped up. Tell me what you guys think. I'll get on writing the next chapter next week, hopefully.
