Raphael too a step back, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Red eyes meant the creature, right? Mikey wasn't doing this...right? Raph didn't have time to ask questions, because something that was semi-transparent came at him. He jumped in the air to dodge, only to be hit by another one and slammed into the ground. Mikey was laughing still, tears in his eyes showing that he didn't want to hurt Raph. Mikey raised a hand in the air, and two more came out of the ground, wrapping around him. He cut threw them, the pieces disappearing before reappearing onto the tendril. It became more opaque, but it was still hard to see. He tried to see where they were connected to Mikey, but none were. He froze when the real Mikey talked, the tendrils disappearing for a second.
"Raph...You're the real one...aren't you? Hehehehe, you must hate me right now. I can't stop myself from fighting you." He moved his arms to the side, and Raph barely dodged a barrage of them, all the size of vines. Raph took a few careful steps near his little brother once they ended, but he kept an eye out for them.
"I could never hate you Mikey. Your my bro-" He almost didn't dodge one of two blades Mikey had. The swords were swinging at him wildly, but Raph dodged rather easily. One because Mikey never really liked to use swords, and two, Leo sometimes went berserk on him during training with his twin katana. Mikey spoke to him rather calmly, while trying to stab him to death. If it was a different situation, Raph would've laughed. "Why don't you just run, or get out of my head? That way I can't hurt you...the real you." This caused the red turtle to let his guard down a little bit. He was slammed to the ground by a tendril that was above him. He felt a crack on his shell forming, and the semi-invisible thing kept trying to make him into a pancake. A sudden thought came to Raphael's head.
"M-Mikey, is this your power? Or is it the creatures power?" Was that why everything in his room was strewn all around, broken? Could Mikey possible control them himself? Michelangelo looked at his brother, confusion on his face, the swords falling to the ground.
"...I'm not sure." His voice was nearly a whisper. "I can't control it, Kage does." Shadow. The deamon controlling Mikey was called Shadow, sounds fitting. Noticing the tendril had loosen up, he jumped to his feet. His freedom didn't last long, with one grabbing him around the neck and holding him in the air, making it hard to breathe. "Raph, listen." He looked at his little brother, who was smiling slightly at him. He bend down, grabbing one sword that had fallen. His movements became more jerky, Kage was trying to gain control. "Run. If you want at least a chance, please run. I can buy you some time." He held the sword in the air, and Raph was afraid at what he was planning to do. He threw the sword, cutting the tendril holding him up. They started to remake themselves, more visible, but it was slower. Mikey was holding his head as though it hurt. "Go!" Raphael nodded, running in a random direction out of the arena. He took a sharp turn to the right, and immediately started falling. He landed with a thud in what looked like a labyrinth. Its walls ended just slightly above his head, made of stacked stone and covered in moss. Torches lined the walls, so it wasn't that hard to see. He ran for awhile, hiding behind some barrels when Mikey jumped down into the labrinth. He could hear the laughter echoing through the walls.
"Raphie? Come out dearie, its impossible to hide~" Raph cursed in his head. Trying to hide behind the barrels better when Kage passed him. It the turned quickly. The tendrils, that had turned flat as blades, cut through the barrels as though they were cheese. Raph backed up to the wall behind him, shocked. "Why yes, this power you CURSED your brother with is able to do more than just grab and smash. So, so much more. You should know, this is my domain, I can change anything, and I can find you with ease. Any last requests before you die?" Raphael couldn't think of a way out, he was stuck. Not to mention his power was refusing to work because he was freaking out internally. He pushed closer to the wall, trying to think.
"Uhhh, could I talk to Mikey?" Raph hoped this thing would take the bait. If Mikey was in control, it would be easier to leave. Kage sighed.
"Oh how cute, you want to speak with your baby brother before you die. Fine, I'll allow it, but you have two minutes." The smile faded, and Mikey almost fell to his knees if Raph didn't catch him. He was unsure if it was really his brother, though.
"Bro? How many fingers and I holding up?" He asked. Mikey always said wacky things when it came to things like this. If it was at all logical, it can't be Mikey.
"A hippo and dinosaur." Mikey chuckled halfheartedly, and Raph hugged his brother. Mikey became serious again. "Seriously, get out of here. Theres nothing you can do. I have to do this by myself. You know I'll be okay with these nightmares. I can't kill the real you." Raph tried, but something was blocking him, so it wasn't panic.
"I'm sorry, but I can't. I think Kage is blocking the way out. I went head first into a situation without thinking again, didn't I. I'm so sorry Mikey. Before the time is up, do you know anything that could be used against this guy." Mikey shook his head slowly, a little too slowly.
"None." Raph didn't have time to move. A Tendril cut through his shell, all the way past his plastron. He was lifted off the ground and thrown into a wall. The deamon walked up to him, and Raph couldn't see as clearly as normal. All he could do was cough up blood. Kage kneeled in front of him. "You fell for that so easily. Did I say two minutes, I meant thirty seconds. Hmmm?" He looked at Raphael, a pondering look on his face. "Since you interfered again, chances are Mikey wont remember this. Bummer, it would have really messed him up. Say, whos doin that?" Raph noticed he was waking up, meaning April had figured out how to get passed that barrier thing. "Well, if you don't die, Buh-bye for now Raphie~" He plunged the sword one last time through Raphs chest before everything went black and he disappeared.

-Michelangelo-
Mikey gasped awake, unable to remember what his dream was about. Other than the fact that it was horrifying. He looked around, he was in the lair. April was sleeping beside Donnie on the other side of the couch, her head on his shoulder. April looked exhausted, she probably didn't get to sleep until late. Leo was snoring on the floor, a Space Heroes magazine over his head. Splinter was also asleep, Right beside Mikey. The orange turtle almost fell back asleep, but a deep feeling of dread crossed through him. Where was Raph? He carefully got off the couch, putting his blanket over Master Splinter. He made his way to Raphael's room, pausing at his decimated one. A flashing image of some sort of transparent vines appeared, but he shook it away. He didn't have time to think about what that was, he had to find Raph. He opened the door to his brothers room. "Raph, you awake?" Nothing. His bedroom was empty, his bed still made from that morning. Mikey was starting to freak out a little bit. He ran to the other place Raph could be, the dojo. He almost laughed with relief seeing his brother there, meditating. Before Mikey could talk to him, Raph spoke up.
+"Hey Mikey." Instead of messing with him, Mikey sat down beside his brother.
"Are you on the surface looking for foot bots?" Asked the young ninja, but Raph shook his head, grimacing a little as though he was in pain.
"You don't remember you dream do you?" Mikey shook his head, he had no clue he even dreamed. "I got kind of hurt going into your head to stop a nightmare. It was just my spirit though, and luckily, it heals a lot quicker than a body. I just have to be using it for it to heal." Mikey chuckled.
"You know, that spirit walking stuff makes my head spin. How exactly does it work anyways? You are able to hear what's happening by you, but you also hear and see things from wherever your spirit is." Raph nodded slightly.
"Not even I know how it works dude. All I know is how to do it, and I am able to automatically distinguish which sense goes to which part I am. I'm actually surprised Leo didn't get this power, he's a lot better at this meditation stuff." He sighed, opening his eyes and looking at Mikey. "Do you think that...when I caused those things of mutagen stuff to break, I cursed everyone? Like, they didn't ask to have powers, and its possible you could have them too." Mikey crossed his arms, thinking. The vine things appeared again, but he pushed the image away, frustrated that it kept showing up.
"Oh well then. If we have powers, than we have powers. It doesn't matter who caused it. Besides, I was going to shake it anyways. You know me." Raph patted Mikeys shoulder.
"You got that right knucklehead." He looked at the clock. "You've slept all the way to lunchtime, why don't you make yourself something to eat while I wake everyone." Mikey nodded, basically running into the kitchen with the hopes of leftover pizza. He paused at the freezer to pet his ice cream kitty.
"Hey ice cream pal. Something weird happened yesterday. Everything just exploded around me when I was angry, and frankly, it still hurts. I don't want to even try to do it again, it seems far too dangerous." He played with ice cream kitty, forgetting that Raph told him to get something to eat. He paused when he heard someone enter the room. He turned seeing Leonardo.
"Mikey? What are you doing up?" Asked Leo, yawning and leaning against the wall. "I don't think any of us had a good nights sleep."
"Maybe it was your constant snoring." Mikey imitated his brother, over exaggerating the sound. "No, seriously though, I just woke up not long ago. What even happened to cause my room to do that? All I remember is being a little too frustrated with those dreams I'm having." Leo sighed.
"So, you don't know what that was either huh?" The orange turtle shook his head. "Well its obvious you haven't been yourself lately. Maybe you got so stressed out, your power went haywire." Mikey nodded solemnly, an image of Raphael impaled by something in the air went into his mind and he started to shake a little.
"Don't worry Bro." He said, not really towards Leo. "I wont hurt anyone." Leo walked over to the sink, making some water bubbles rise from the faucet.
"I know you wont hurt anyone. I'm going to tell you a secret. I didn't know how to control my power at first either. It would only activate if I was surprised or mad. It almost seems like your case."
"I wonder why anger caused it?" Mikey said to himself. He didn't notice Donnie standing in the doorway, his eyes wide with worry. He was silent, so his little brother wouldn't notice him. The young turtle sighed, frowning. "I also have a secret Leo. All these nightmares are more than frustrating. Heck, they're all about me killing someone I love, or acting like a complete and total jerk. I'm trying not to show that its bothering me so much, but in truth, doing that just makes me more-" Donnie cut him off, making the young turtle jump.
"There is no need to hide what your feeling." He put an arm around his brother. "It isn't good to pretend like that. Besides, everyone have bad days, doesn't mean you can't have one either." Mikey chuckled.
"Thanks dude. So, do you know what I dreamed last night? I don't remember a thing...but I have a feeling it included killing Raph." Leo and Donnie shrugged, a slightly hidden worry on their faces when he said that he killed Raph.
"April couldn't really tell, and Raph only told Master Splinter." Leo explained.
"Dang it. Oh well, its good that I don't remember" He grabbed a whole pizza box. "Also, I call dibs on this." He stated as he ran back into the lair before the other two could protest.

-Leonardo-
After Mikey went into the lair, Donnie started off towards his lab. He was mumbling about something he could do to help Mikey sleep. Leo sighed. The water behind him started to swirl slightly with how confused he was about the situation. He figured that negative emotions could effect powers. Plus if Mikeys power was exploding things outward, it could be very dangerous, even for him. He didn't notice Master Splinter and Raph looking at him with worried expressions, he was too far into his thoughts. He could heal himself, but he was unable to heal others. It seemed to be more of a secondary ability, the water being the main one...wait. Raphael is able to see what someone is feeling if he touches them, and the spirit walking thing is different than that. Donnie doesn't seem to have a second ability, but it would be likely. He then thought back to when the canisters were broken. It perplexed him to know that none of them tried to get out of the way.
"Fate is such a random thing." He mumbled to himself, and finally noticed Raph waving a hand in front of his face.
"Yo, you awake in there?" Leo glared at him, crossing his arms.
"What do you want Raphael?" He shrugged, elbowing him a little in the side.
"Nothing other than the fact that you were spacing out. You always do that when your deep in thought. Not to mention, the waters doing a little waterspout tornado thing." He pointed behind Leo, who turned to the tiny tornado in the water. He moved his arm, trying to make it go back to normal, but it completely disappeared. This surprised him, unlike Donnie, he wasn't able to make water appear and disappear out of nowhere. Maybe his luck was starting to change with that. He didn't dwell on the thought, turning back to Raph and Master Splinter. "What's bothering you so much, fearless?" Leo looked at the ground.
"I can't think of a way to help Mikey. You tried, and nearly died if it wasn't for April using all of her energy to get you out. Donnie could probably give Mikey some medicine to help with the nightmares, but I can't really do anything. What is a healing power if you can't help someone other than yourself, and what can water-" Splinter interrupted Leo, shaking his head.
"Your powers do not create who you are. Try helping in your own way, it doesn't matter what you can do, as long as you're there for your brother." This surprised Leo. He was so used to the idea of powers, that he didn't even think of not using them. He face palmed.
"For the leader, I am a baka sometimes." Leo chuckled. There was a small voice from the doorway.
"Everyone is an idiot at one point or another." It was April, and she looked right at Raph when she said that. I smiled slightly, she was still mad that she was so tired because of him. She yawned. "How's your spirit Raph?" He shrugged.
"Fine, I guess, I don't seem to have any open wounds anymore with it, but I'm not going to do something that drastic for awhile...at least not until I'm better at spirit walking in dreams. Also, how did you manage to get me out? My power wasn't able to get through." April sighed.
"I'm the only other one of us who has odd abilities close to yours. I don't know how either, but I was able to connect to you and pull you back out. Also, don't go inside someone's head again, unless I'm here." Raph nodded. She left again, saying that Mikey was going to eat the whole pizza if she didn't stop him. Leo then remembered something.
"Oh my gosh." Raph and Splinter looked at him. "Mikey told Donnie and I that in his dream, he killed Raph. It was all he remembered." Raphael's eyes went wide in surprise. "Was that you, or a dream version of you?" Leo had a bad feeling about this. Raph looked to the floor this time, his hands clenched.
"It was me. I figured he wouldn't remember it though, like last time I went in." Leo couldn't help the question he had from being blurted out.
"What did he do to try and kill you? Don't lie." Raphs eyes darkened.
"Kage."
"Shadow?" Leo asked. Raph quickly corrected himself.
"I mean...some sort of semi-invisible tentacle stuff. I called it kage, because it started to look like a shadow after being cut off. It can grab, throw things, and turn as flat as blades or as small as vines." He chuckled a little, and Leo knew he was lying about the kage thing. He ignored it though, since the rest was true. He began to get lost in thought again. It would make more sense if tendrils went out of control, instead of an explosion, since everything didn't hit the wall at the same time. There was a crash in the lair, and they ran out to see what it was. Mikey was on the floor in front of the couch, laughing and holding his sides. April was also laughing a little bit. Donnie stood behind the couch, an annoyed look on his face with a small smirk.
"What happened in here?" Asked Raph, but Mikey burst out in another fit of laughter. Leo smiled, its been so long since his brother acted so happy. Raph seemed to stiffen a little, but he did his best to ignore it, trying not to ask him what was wrong. April yawned, answering for Mikey.
"He tried to sneak up on Donnie. It backfired because Donnie kind of freaked out and flipped him over the couch." Mikey stood up quickly, the energetic smile still on his face.
"You should have seen his face bros!" He then turned to Master Splinter. "Hey, could we go on a patrol?"
"Why would you want to do that?" Asked Raph, putting his arm around his brother in a fake choke hold.
"I had a burst of energy out of nowhere, and now I'm very stir crazy." He tried to get out of the coke hold, but failed, looking over to Master Splinter the best he could. "Please Master Splinter? I know its still day but-" Splinter nodded, cutting him off. "Yay! Just let me get my sword and Kusarigama." He finally got out of Raph hold, running to his decimated room.
Donnie sighed, a smile on his face. "Normal Mikeys showing. I hope this means he's feeling better." Raph nodded.
"Me too bro."

-Michelangelo-
Mikey was standing on a building, enjoying the sight of the sun setting. They've been out for awhile now, and no foot bots showed up, but they could. There was a sharp pain in his chest every now and then from holding in his anger the day before. He was startled when Donnie spoke up.
"You okay Mikey? You've gone silent." The orange turtle smiled at Donnie.
"I can honestly say I feel great. Hopefully it lasts-" He stopped when a scream echoed through the air. It sounded like a teenage boy. The turtles ran over the buildings, towards the scream. They stopped and looked down into an alley. They were probably two stories up, so they could see everything clearly in the dying light. It was a school kid surrounded by six gang members. Leo called down to the gang members.
"What is it you think your doing?" Three of them screamed in surprised, two running in fear. The other one just stood with a snarky grin on his face. It was obvious this was the leader.
"We heard about freaks coming to show up at night when someone was in trouble. We decided to check it out ourselves." Mikey got more angry at the freak remark than usual. He was used to being called that, but it bothered him this time...quite a bit.
"Care to tell us why you were beating someone up just to make us appear?" Asked Raph, grabbing his sais. "Or do we need to come down there and beat your lights out?" The thugs laughed, one kicking the kid back down when he tried to stand.
"Oh its easy. Everyone is saying that you don't show up on camera, so we're recording this with a rather hidden camera." Donnie cursed under his breath, looking around for any sign of it. "Besides...They also say you can't be killed." Mikey never saw the gun in his hand, but he did hear the bang and Leo fell back, blood falling down his plastron. He was shot in the chest. Mikey shouldn't have been freaking out, all Donnie had to do was take out the bullet and Leo would heal, but he started to hyperventilate a little. There was another gunshot, and a bullet barely grazed Raphs cheek. Mikey slowly turned back to the thugs, and he knew his eyes were slits and glowing red again. Michelangelo jumped down to where they were. There was no voice in his head, and no sign of Kage. But...he was in a word...furious. They backed up, scared looks on their faces.
"You beat up a kid for fun, and you have the guts to shoot my brother!?" They shot again, but something that was semi-invisible blocked it. Something that felt...powerful.

-Raphael-
Raph heard another shot, and noticed Mikey wasn't on the roof anymore. Worried, he looked down, seeing Mikey and something else he didn't want to see. The tendrils that Kage used were there...it was Mikeys power. "Mikey?" He asked himself, watching as the tendrils grabbed the leader of the gang and throw him against a brick wall. There was an audible crack as his leg broke when he fell. The tendrils turned flat as blades, and Raph jumped down as well, dodging the vine-like things as he did. He wasn't able to get to his brother through them. At the last second, it stabbed the wall right beside the man. When Mikey spoke, it was darker than usual, the red slits for pupils making it even more creepy in the fading light.
"I'm going to spare you this time...I am no killer." The man was sputtering, trying to talk.
"B-But I shot your brother in the heart." Mikey laughed darkly.
"Oh well...he'll survive. You wont though. So run home with your goons, tails between your legs, before I change my mind!" They did as he said, running away, the leader being half carried. The tendrils dissipated slowly, and Mikey dropped to the ground. The kid stood there, surprise and worry on his face.
"T-T-That's not normal, is it?" Raph shook his head.
"No. You should get home kid. Some pretty dangerous people come out at night." He nodded, thanking Raph quickly before running off. Raph helped Mikey stand up, relieved that his eyes were back to their usual blue. Donnie and Leo jumped down, worry on their faces.
"What was that?" Mikey chuckled a little, it sounded uncertain.
"I think Imma call it Shadow Whips." He tried to stand on his own, but he looked too tired to do so. "Also, don't ask what just happened, I don't really remember anything until after I spared the guy. How are you doing Leo?" There was just a small crack on his plastron, no doubt it'll disappear by the time they reach the lair. Donnie had the same idea.
"We should go home, your too tired to stand. And-" Mikey cut him off.
"No. I'm fine. Just give me a few minutes, Please bro?" Donnie couldn't help but fall for the puppy dog eyes.
"Fine, but if you get any more tired, tell us." Mikey nodded, smiling slightly.

-Unknown-
A creature watched from the shadows with bright yellow glowing eyes, a dark smirk on its face. A turtle that couldn't die and could heal itself would be rather useful for their efforts. It closed its eyes, blending in with the shadows as it followed the turtles.

Howdy. I'm back again. I could have had the chapter going on longer, but I had to find a place to cut it. Mikeys power has finally been revealed. It was something different at first, but I don't remember what the original power was. And I found a loop hole in my own story. At first it was only Leo who had two abilities, but then I noticed that what Raph has doesn't count as just one power. I'm sorry if it was rushed in a couple places, I'm still working on that. I left it with a cliffhanger, and lets see if you can guess who the unknown person was at the end. Have a good day!
