How Taking Down Legacy Failed - Royal Rumble
Tonight was the night I had planned to confront Randy about what happened last week. I wanted answers. This was the only time I could do it; he was getting married in a few days. I was in the locker room with John, I didn't know when the right time to go see Randy was. I had been putting it off for awhile, but I knew I had to do it. I don't even know what I'm expecting to happen. I just know we can't leave things like this, we need to talk.
I had dazed out through the first match of Royal Rumble, I couldn't stop thinking, it was driving me crazy, I just wanted to be able to relax, but I haven't been able to in days without wondering what is going to happen. Something came on the Royal Rumble that did grab my attention. Can you guess it? Randy.
Randy was in his locker room wrapping tape around his wrist when Cody walked in. Cody tells Randy that he will be there for him tonight. There seemed something wrong with him, Randy noticed it too. Cody doubts Ted; he says that he has changed. I stared at the screen in shock. I thought all this business between Cody and Ted was over with, why is Cody saying that? Cody tells Randy that Ted is determined to win the title. He then leaves Randy looking pissed off. So that means I need to talk to both Cody and Randy now.
The next it shows Randy walking down the corridor and he runs into Ted who turns the tables on Cody. What was going on with these guys? They seemed fine the other day. Randy catches on to what they are doing and tells Ted he doesn't want either him or Cody to get involved in his match. It was his match soon, I decided it's best to go now as if he doesn't win, he is going to pissed and scary.
"I'll be right back" I told John, he nodded. He didn't put up a fight anymore, not even when I said I was going to see Ted or Cody. I walked down the corridor searching for Cody or Ted to ask for what just happened back there, but that is not who I found. Randy smiled from down the corridor seeing me. He stopped when we were inches apart.
"Hey" He said to me. I just smiled at him, I tried to walk past, I told myself I wouldn't run, but what am I doing now? However Randy wasn't going to let me get away so easily, he pulled back on my elbow so I was now facing him. "Can we talk about this?" He asked, I sighed and nodded. Still no words were coming out. "I haven't been able to stop thinking about you" He chuckled.
"Randy, you can't keep doing this, your getting married in what a few days?" I told him. Finally the words came out, but did I mean any of them?
"I know that, I know I shouldn't be having these feelings, but it's not like I can turn them off" He replied shaking his head. "I meant what I told you last week"
"How am I suppose to believe that? You change your mind every…" He cut me off.
"No Mickie, no, I don't change my mind, I just tell you I do because I don't know what else to do, I want you to be happy, but I don't want you to move on" He said, I bit my lip and looked away. What was I suppose to do? Tell him how I really feel? I can't, it won't change anything, he will say it will, but it won't.
"Too late, I have already" I lied and tried to walk away, but he brought me back.
"You don't mean that" He told me. "No one kisses like you did last week and not care" He was right.
"Randy you have a match" I said pointing to a crew man who beckoning him. He groaned.
"Just say you will come see me after my match" He asked. "Please?"
"Randy I don't…"
"Please" His voice sounded begging like. I sighed and nodded. He kissed my cheek before following the crew member. I watched him go, it was like in that second, I was wrapped around his little finger again. I went to John's locker room to watch the match. I was worried, if he didn't win, he will be in a foul mood when I go and see him. Thing is, we couldn't talk properly until after my match with Melina, but I would go see him for a minute. I watched both Sheamus and Randy in the ring. The upper hand kept swapping.
There was a moment which seemed like Randy went into a moment of madness. I thought Randy was going to win; it looked like it was going to be all over, but for some reason, Cody felt like he needed to help Randy out even after Randy told him not to. He hurts Sheamus, but the referee sees. The bell suddenly goes off.
"What just happened?" I said to myself kind of panicking.
"Looks like your buddy just caused Randy to loose the match" John smirked. I rolled my eyes at him. It was announced that Sheamus had won due to disqualification. Oh god, Cody is a dead man. He is going to be so pissed when I go see him. Great!
Cody got into the ring to try and make amends with Randy, but he was wasting his time. The best thing to do right now was to leave Randy in peace and let him calm down. At first Randy looked upset. The crowd starts to chant RKO. No! Don't RKO Cody! He was just trying to help! Randy then went from looking upset, to pissed off.
"Looks like your boy is going to get it now" John gloated. I just flipped him off and continued to watch the match. He wrapped his arm around me and tried to pull me closer to him, but I wouldn't move away from the TV.
Cody goes to help Randy up, but Randy tackles him down. "YOU SCREWED EVERYTHING UP" He screamed at Cody. He starts attacking him. Oh god, Ted runs down and pulls Randy off Cody. I'm scared he will hurt Ted now. Just as I thought that, Randy started attacking both Ted and Cody.
"YOU'RE DONE, YOU'RE FINISHED" He screamed at the both of them. Sheamus is standing behind Randy as this is all going on. Get out of there Randy! Sheamus attacks Randy brutally from behind leaving him laying in the ring unconscious. I have to go see him.
"I'll be back" I told John said, he rolled his eyes, but nodded. I ran to where Randy was receiving medical attention. I walked in to see him lying on the bed with first aiders around here.
"Where is Mickie?" I heard him say.
"I'm over here" He opened his eyes and reached out to me.
"Baby, it hurts" He whispered to me. Baby?
"Mam, I'm afraid you're going to need to go out for a moment" One of the first aiders said to me.
"She's my girlfriend, she can stay" Randy snapped at the guy who told me to leave. Girlfriend? What is he talking about?
"Sorry sir" The guy replied. Randy nodded and reached out and brought me into his chest. Oh god, is the past repeating? Does he think we are together again?
"Let's get out of here baby" Randy tried to get up, but groaned in pain.
"Sit down" I told him, he nodded. "I have my match"
"When?"
"Like now" I had a match against Melina, it was like a pre-match before the one at Wrestlemania.
"Come back after yeah? Then we can go home" He said to me, I played along and nodded. Hopefully he comes to his senses soon. "Good luck" He smiled at me, I went to walk away, but he pulled back on my wrist, he put his hand on my neck, tipped my head backwards and pressed his lips against mine. For a moment, being in his arms, everything in the world seemed to disappear. I didn't care that this was just temporary, I just wanted to forget about my match and make the time that he thought we were together last. This is what it would be like if we were together ay? This is only making it harder to move on and accept that he is getting married in a few days.
My stomach was turning as I was tingling with excitement. My heart started to race and my fingers were trembling. It felt like a rush, but when our lips touched, it was like bullet-time, everything seems so slow. He slowly broke the kiss and chuckled at my reaction.
"Knock them dead baby" He told me, reaching his hand out and smacking my ass. I was definitely ready for this match. My stomach was still tingling and so were my lips. I know what I was feeling was wrong, but I was over whelmed by how I felt by just one kiss. I stood in the gorilla position and ran down to the ring. I waited for Melina to come down. She received a lot of boos. I smirked. I love my fans.
I was prepared for this match and I took Melina down. I was so fired up that the match only lasted five minutes. I kicked her ass good! She had no chance when I was like this. Once I connected my Jumping Impact DDT, it was all over and I picked up the pin. I celebrate in the ring for awhile, before rushing back stage to go see Randy. I walked in, but the mood felt different. When I walked in, he didn't look at me the same way he did last time. I walked to his side.
"It happened again, didn't it?" He asked me. So much for that lasting. I nodded. "How do you feel about me Mickie? I need to know"
"What does it matter Randy, your marrying Sam, don't drag me into all this" I replied.
"You didn't answer my question" He said sternly. I couldn't do it, not yet.
"Do you love her?" I asked him, my voice went high as if it was close to breaking.
"I love Sam" He told me, I looked away. "But I love you more" I turned back to him. I didn't reply. "Do you love John?"
"Just drop it Randy" I replied.
"I take that as a no then" He said chuckling. "Mickie, I want…" He was about to say, but got cut off.
"Baby, are you ok?" Sam rushed in creating space between me and Randy. I stepped back and just starred at the floor. Randy nodded and looked at me. Sam followed where he was starring and looked at me in disgusting.
"I better get back" I told him before leaving the room. What does this mean for us? His wedding is in two days, what does he want? I went back to John's locker room; he was just about ready for the royal rumble.
"Good luck" I told him.
"Thanks babe" I cringed when I heard him say that. John brought his arm around my waist and pulled me in for a kiss. I let him. Maybe I could feel even more for John then I did Randy. However that was not the case. I didn't feel anything. I even tried to deepen the kiss. I put my arms around his neck and brought him further onto me. He wrapped my legs around his waist and let him push me up against the wall, but I still felt nothing.
"Mr Cena" There was a knock at the door. John put me down, kissed my lips before leaving. I sighed and went to put the TV on to watch. I was rooting for Ted and Cody. I joined in to see Ted and Cody were already in the ring. They were helping each other which showed that they hadn't fallen out after Randy's match. I didn't get the chance to go and see them. Cody helped as Ted out when Kane tried to eliminate him. There was a moment when I thought one of them could actually win it! That dream was smashed my DX! Shawn eliminated both Cody and Ted. Darn it! John entered at 19. He stayed in. The second last person to enter was EDGE! He is back!!! I can't believe it! I hope he is going to be on Raw! Me and him were good friends, until he went away for injury! I will have to catch up with him later!
It was down to John and Edge now. If John wins this, he will never shut up about it, if he doesn't he is going to be pissed. Which do I prefer more?
Over all Edge won. I have to now be ready to face John's wrath. He shouldn't be too bad though, not whilst Latoya is around. I better go find her. I really want to know what's happening with Randy. I'm going to text him later and I'm going to meet him and tell him exactly what I think.

I'm going to the grandparents this weekend where there is nothing to do so hopefully I can get a lot of chapters done there.
