How Taking Down Legacy Failed

"Where is Cody?" I asked Randy, we had just arrived at the arena, me, him and Ted, but there was no sign of Cody.

"I sent him to go with Becky" He replied, I nodded, she had to go see her boyfriend, he sounds dangerous to me from what I've heard. This was my first Raw as Randy's official girlfriend, he had his arm around my waist which made me just want to scream, Ted kept winking to me about it, I had to blush and pray that Randy didn't see.

Becky's P.O.V

"Thanks for coming with me. I appreciate it."

I smiled at my big brother but it immediately slipped when Randy winced.

"About that…"

"Randy!"

My brother smiled innocently, "I have a match tonight. I have to go and prepare but I'm getting Cody to take you!"

"What?"

"Cody! Remember, from yesterday? He doesn't have a match tonight, so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind him taking you instead."

I swallowed a sigh and nodded my head but I was desperate to say 'no'. Admittedly, I had liked Cody but I didn't know him.

I was going to see a controlling ex-boyfriend to pick up all my stuff but I knew that if I went alone, I'd probably cave into going back with him, so Randy offered to go with me, practically like my bodyguard.

"Look, I appreciate you getting your little friend to take me but tell him not to bother. I don't mind going alone."

Randy snorted with laughter, "No. Look, he doesn't have to go in with you; he can just drive you there considering you don't have your car anymore."

"But I don't know-"

"Hello!" The hotel door burst open and Cody stood there. He threw me a polite smile and nodded at Randy.

"What did he do that made you agree to do this?" I demanded.

Cody grinned and I assumed that he had been excepting that question, "I often go insane with boredom on my days off. It'll be fun to have something to do – and Mickie said it'd be a good idea if we made you feel welcome."

"Thanks, I guess."

"Now that that's sorted, I'll see you later. Good luck!" Randy slapped me on the back and gave Cody a warning look, "If anything happens to her, I will kill you."

"Good to know…?"

Randy gave him a look and pulled the door shut behind him. I crossed my arms and raised my eyebrows, "I'm sorry about him. He's ridiculously over-protective. You don't have to do this."

"I don't mind!" Cody insisted, looking around the room, "So, are you staying in the hotel? How come?"

"I live – or should I say lived - with my crazy ex. That's why Randy feels like I need protecting when I go to get my stuff," I laughed at the absurdness of the whole ordeal.

Cody nodded and then lifted his hand, jangling his car keys between his fingers, "Well, let's get going then."

As we left the hotel and he turned on the stereo, I realized what he was listening to.

"You like the Beatles?"

"Oh, sorry. I know that they're really old and I can never listen to them when anyone else is in the car because they just complain but they're one of my favourite bands-"

"No." I interrupted, "You don't need to explain yourself to me. The Beatles are my all-time favourite band. I don't care if they existed before I was born. I grew up listening to them… and I still do."

"At least I'm not alone there then!" Cody grinned, "So, where am I heading exactly?"

I told him where to go and the route that I advised and we began making tracks there.

"So, are you best friends with Mickie?" I asked, rolling down the window and sticking my hand outside, letting the wind push my hand back.

"Yep. It used to be me and Ted," he explained, "but then it was me and Mickie. Then it was the three of us but now… now, it kind of feels like its Mickie and Ted, you know?"

I narrowed my eyes, "Ted."

Cody looked at me out of the corner of his eye, "Yeah… what's wrong with Ted?"

I shuddered slightly, "I used to have a huge crush on the guy."

Cody's mouth fell open but he kept his eyes on the road, "Wow."

"Don't remind me. It was ages ago."

Cody snorted with laughter, "Did he know?"

"I think so." I shuddered, "He wasn't with Legacy at the time and I was still in college. He probably didn't see me as anything more than Randy Orton's kid sister… Urgh, it's so cringy to think of now!"

"Yeah. It is." Cody agreed.

I childishly stuck out my tongue before jumping as my cell burst into life. "Anyway, you feel like you've been pushed to the side?"

"Kind of, yeah." Cody admitted, "It's not like they don't include me… it just feels like its more often them than 'us' but maybe things will change now that Randy and Mickie are together… I don't know." He shrugged, "So, we're getting your stuff?"

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah. I was extremely close with my grandma until she died when I was eighteen. She gave me her necklace a week before she died, so I've always treasured it but I left in such a rush the other night, I completely forgot it since it was the one and only time that I wasn't wearing it."

"So, we're going to get the necklace?"

I shrugged, "I'll get most of my stuff. I was planning on doing a sly disappearance, so he wouldn't notice and I only took a few things but now he knows, I might as well take it all."

"Is he a jerk?"

"He can be. He probably will be this evening. Sorry."

Cody grinned, "No problem. I specialize in jerk."

That made me laugh but then I looked at him seriously, "Were you supposed to be doing anything today? I hate to think I ruined your day."

Cody wrinkled his nose, "No. I was going to have lunch with a friend… Ashley… but I was going to cancel anyway. I wasn't in the mood."

I nodded slowly before saying, "Thanks for doing this."

He smiled, "Anytime."

Becky

"So, naturally, I was like," I cleared my throat and then began to sing opera.

Cody actually stopped walking down the sidewalk and stared at me, his mouth hanging open. A couple walking past gave me a shocked look and I spotted a guy in a car laughing.

"Did you just… stop and sing opera in the middle of the street?" Cody checked when I finished, we had just reached my building and there was a smirk on my face.

"I might have… hey, you were the one who asked me what my other ambition was!"

"You said to be on Broadway!"

"Yeah, so I gave you the audition piece!"

Cody stared at me for a moment before cracking up with laughter, "Wow. I can't believe you just did that."

I shrugged my shoulders, "I'm never going to see them again. I only see life through my eyes, not theirs, so why should I feel like an idiot?" I let myself into the building and the two of us made our way up to the fourth floor.

"Randy has the same attitude… although he doesn't use it to sing opera in the middle of the sidewalk… I would pay to see that."

I smirked, "Next time we're both staying at home for a visit, I'll record him singing in the shower."

We reached my apartment door and I felt increasingly nervous. I shoved my key into the lock; let myself in and Kyle immediately jumped up from the sofa. I swung the door shut behind me and Cody leant against it.

"There you are. I didn't think you were going to come. Honestly, I've been so worried about you. Your mom is really pissed about you temporarily breaking up with me but I assured her that… who's that?"

I glanced at Cody, who was smirking slightly, "That? That's Cody." I explained lightly, "I'm just here to get my stuff – and then I'm going."

Kyle was still staring at Cody whilst I disappeared into the bedroom. I hurriedly stuffed my best clothes into a rucksack and quickly snatched up my grandmother's necklace.

"So."

I glanced up to see Kyle standing in the doorway, "So…?"

"We've been apart… two minutes and you already have a new boyfriend?"

I smiled and brought my rucksack into the living room and began raiding the bookshelf, "No. Cody's just a friend and he offered to drive me here."

"A friend? Well I'm pretty sure I've met all of your friends and I don't remember meeting him."

I glanced at Cody, who was looking highly amused by the whole situation, "Well. He's only been my friend since yesterday."

Kyle snorted and seemed to think about squaring Cody up, until he realized that he was half his size.

"What do you do?" Kyle demanded, eyeing Cody's arms doubtfully.

"I'm a wrestler."

"A wrestler?" Kyle suddenly seemed to understand, "Oh. I see. You met her through Randy. Well. What made you get a job that requires you to wear Speedos and wrestle other men?"

"Personally, I think it was the fact that some of the other guys wear Speedos and I have a reason to touch their hot, sweaty bodies." Cody batted his eyelashes and smiled seductively at Kyle.

I cracked up with laughter and Cody sent me a sly, secret wink.

Finally, I went into the bathroom and snatched up my toothbrush. When I re-entered the living room, Kyle was looking confused, now apparently unsure of Cody's sexuality.

"I have everything," I told him softly but as I passed him, he grabbed my arm.

"Wait. Can you at least give me a reason why you're doing this?" He snapped.

I swallowed a sigh, "Kyle, you stopped me seeing my friends, you told me that I'd end up alone if I left you and you played stupid mind games so that you could get your own way – as well as the fact that we've only been together for eighteen months and you're already pressuring for us to get married-"

"Fine. I'll stop."

I shook my head slowly, "Kyle. You either feel something or you don't and… I don't. My hearts not in it and there's no point in a relationship if you aren't interested."

Anger flashed across Kyle's face, "It's because of him, isn't it, bitch?" He jerked a head in the direction of Cody, who was pretending to examine his fingernails but his head lifted at Kyle's words.

"Even if it was because of me, she'd still be leaving you." Cody growled.

Kyle chose to ignore him, "Where are you staying?"

"I'm staying with Randy for a while."

"He's a wrestler! He moves every week!"

I sighed and looked at him, "Actually, Randy's been able to get me a job at the WWE."

"What?" Both Kyle and Cody said at the same time, looking equally shocked.

I shrugged, "It's nothing big. I'll just be assisting at the photo shoots for now and taking photos for the merchandise – like on packaging and in books and stuff."

Cody looked pleased but Kyle looked pissed, "So now you're sponging off your brother?"

"Don't be so ridiculous! I know Jude – the guy in charge – because we met at a photo shoot a while ago. He offered me a job, like six months ago but I declined because I didn't want to travel but now… now I can and Randy spoke to him and asked if the job was still on offer for me." I explained before slipping past him, "I hope you find someone who makes you happy." I wanted to get out.

Kyle stared after me for a moment, "Becca…"

"You know I hate being called that." I said softly, "I'll see you, Kyle."

Once again, Kyle's face broke out in anger. "You're welcome to the tramp." He spat at Cody.

Cody narrowed his eyes, "I think you had better watch your mouth. You don't want to say something that you'll regret."

Kyle backed down slightly when Cody pulled himself to his full height, looking threatening with all his muscles but as we were leaving, he called, "'Just friends' my ass!"

I ignored him and Cody and I didn't speak until we got back into the car. We sat there for a moment and then he grinned at me, "What a charming guy."

I looked at him and it was a while before the two of us stopped laughing.

Mickie's P.O.V

Everything seemed perfect, but there was still something I had to worry about. At extreme rules Randy was going up against Jack Swagger for the heavy weight championship, the heavy weight championship is on Smackdown and I'm scared that if Randy does win, then he will have to go Smackdown. I don't want to tell Randy this as I know if he did win, it would be a great opportunity for him and I can't stand in the way of that.

We threw our bags down when we got to the locker room. "All I'm saying is, it's genetic, if your family have curly hair, then your likely to have curly hair" Ted had been going on about this throughout the car ride.

"Ok then, why do I have curly hair when everyone in my family has pin straight hair?" I asked him smugly.

"Maybe the mail man had curly hair" Ted retorted, my jaw dropped. MAN! Ted owned me all the time these days! I swear he had been practising when I was away!

"Fair play Dibiase, that was some good banter, you have improved recently" I told him patting him on the back.

"Yeah, I have been taught well" He replied. "By your mom" He mumbled, he then poked his tongue out at me.

"Another good one" I gritted my teeth, he smirked.

"See, I'm not all good looks"

I turned to Randy who watched in amusement. "Don't encourage him" I slapped his arm.

"Damn woman!" He said rubbing his arm. "Feisty, I wonder if you're like that in bed" Randy winked at me. Don't blush! Don't blush! For god sake Mickie don't blush!

"Oh trust me she is" Ted said, both me and Randy turned to look at him. Ted laughed then looked from Randy to me. "Oh…awkward…forgot, boyfriend"

"Ted where did you get that hat?" I asked him, he was wearing like a golf hat, I never really paid attention to the fact he had been wearing it this whole time.

"Oh my girlfriend gave it…" Girlfriend? I looked him at him. "I mean a girl who is a friend Mickie, GOSH!"

"Alright alright Teddy, it's ok" I told him, Was he lonely?

"Oh my god! No way!" Ted ran out the door after seeing something outside.

"I'll be a moment" I said to Randy, he nodded. I ran after Ted, I came out to see him walking slowly towards this blonde man. "Ted" I whispered. He turned around.

"It's the guy I told you about ages ago! The Draco Malfoy look a like!" Oh yes, I remember! I followed Ted to go up to him. The guy who looked like Draco turned around.

"Hello, is there something I can help you with?" He asked Ted.

"Hi, do you remember me?" Ted asked bluntly.

"No sir, not really" The guy replied, oh that's embarrassing.

"C'mon you're going to tell me you don't remember me? Remember I came a few months ago, the Harry Potter fan?" The man just starred at Ted confused. "Oh I know why!" Ted took off his hat. "How about now?"

"Sorry, still nothing, is there anything else I can help you with?" The guy asked, Ted hung his head low.

"No, I just came to see if you remembered me" Ted walked away dejected. Poor guy, he was really excited after meeting him. We walked back into the locker room, Raw was on. David Hasselhoff was the guest host.

"He is quite hot an old guy" I pointed out, Randy's gripped tightened on me, I smirked, I love it when they get jealous.

"I'm hotter" Ted muttered. "Right, I have to go see someone! Brb peeps!"

"Did he just say brb?" Randy asked me.

"Yes, yes he did" I shook my head laughing. "Have you got a match tonight?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I'm going up against Bastita" He told me. "What about you?" He moved me so I was now sitting on his lap. My arms went around his neck.

"Nope, Vince still thinks it is too soon for me to start wrestling" Randy slid down a bit and rested his hands on my hips. "Think you will see some of Jack Swagger tonight?"

"Most definitely, I'm expecting it" He replied.

"Oh I hope I see him to" I teased, Randy crossed his arms and looked at me. "He's hot"

""So…you really don't fancy me?" He smirked. "Your just using me to get to Swagger are you?" He teased back.

"That is right, he is just so…dreamy" I pretended to day dream about him, before looking to see the expression on Randy's face.

"So you don't find me dreamy?" He asked, he put a hand on his heart. "I'm wounded"

"Well, Jackie makes me tea and he has a six Pac" The irony there. Randy chuckled at me.

"Well" He mocked me. "Babe" He lifted up his shirt to reveal his own six pac. I looked down and grinned. "And as for the tea, I made you one yesterday!"

"I have trained you well young grass hopper" I said patting is head.

"Babe, your blocking my view of Maryse" I turned around to see she was wrestling, I smack his arm. "Hey! I will let you watch Jackie!" He mocked me.

"Look Orton, if you want to see Maryse then get your arse and move around me" I scowled jokily, crossing my arms and pretending to sulk.

"Why would I make myself move? Besides, all you'd have to do is to turn around. Then I could see that fabulous rack of yours" Randy smirked. I felt myself go Red. I swear I didn't blush this much before! My mouth gaped open. He pulled me back to face him and started to kiss down my next. His tongue traced my jaw and roughly turned me to face him more. As our lips finally met hers, I just couldn't believe it, it felt real, it felt right. His lips held a rugged fierceness, but at the same time, soft. He was strong, but not too strong, not overbearing. It was like I was battling Randy and he was claimed my mouth for himself. We broke away and I just laid into him as we watched more of Raw.

John took on the NXT rookie from last week. Mucho respect for David right now. We heard a knock at Randy's door. "That's probably Josh" Randy told me. I nodded and hopped off him.

"I will make myself scat" I kissed his cheek and went into the bathroom. I listened in, he was talking about his match at extreme rules. He came to the bathroom after Josh was gone.

"Watch my match?" He asked me.

"Course" I replied smiling. I leaned up and gave him a kiss for good luck. I could get used to this boyfriend and girlfriend thing.

I did watch his match. Randy did so good in his match, he almost got the pin, but 'Jackie' came down and started to attack him. John then got involved, why was he helping Randy? I was so glad that I hadn't ran into him, I still don't know how I'm going to react when I do eventually…I mean, I can't avoid him forever. Randy had informed Becky about it, at first I didn't want her to know, I didn't really want anyone else to know who already did, but with Randy being all protective, he wanted to make sure that while she is, she is safe.

Randy came back after holding his head, I ran to go help him to the couch. "Well….that was weird, I'm surprised he, well…helped you"

"I don't trust him Mickie"

"Do you think after all he put me through that I would?" I replied. "It's just weird"

"I know, I know, but let's not think about ay? He isn't worth it" Randy put his arm around me and brought my head closer so he could kiss my forehead.

"That's true" I chuckled. "Is your head ok?"

"Could be better" He sighed. "Where is Becky?"

"I'm not sure, probably checking out her new work place" I shrugged.

"Want go back early?" He smiled suggestively.

"Would love to, but we are giving Ted a lift back" I told him.

"Dammit Ted"

"Tell me about it! Me and him were trying to have one of those moments where you run towards each other in slow motion like in the movies and you know what he did? He tripped and ruined the whole thing!"

"I heard my name! Can't stop talking about me, can you baby?" Ted said walking in with a lazy smirk.

"Theodore! Where have you been?"

"Oh you know, saw a movie, got some coffee"

"I want some coffee…"

"That's nice" Ted replied.

"I could go for some…."

"That's cool"

"Would you go get me some?"

"No"

"Why not?"

"Because I'm not your waitress, dammit Mickie"

"One, you mean waiter and two, of course your not because waiters aren't so…."

"Fucking rude, yeah I know Mickie, you've used that one before, stupid girl" Ted whacked me on the back of my head.

"Right that's it, I want my twenty bucks back!" I put out my hand.

"Well I'm not going to give it to you, you son of a bitch"

"Where's my money Teddy?"

"I'm not telling baby"

"I want my twenty bucks, Ted!"

"GUYS" Randy shouted, we cranked our necks towards him. "Can we, oh I don't know…go?"

"I suppose it's possible" Ted replied to him before glaring back at me. "This isn't over"

"Didn't doubt it" I whispered back.

"Not a peep out of you two" Randy wagged his finger at us.

"Yes sir" Ted said to him softly. "I'm driving!"

"If you think I'm going to let you touch my Bentley, you can think again"

"Baby! Tell him!" I shook my head.

"You denied me of my coffee, so no"

"It's not fair! Your protective of Mickie, Becky, your cars! I can't touch any of them" Ted sulked. "So which one are you willing to protect the most, Mickie or your car?" Ted wiggled his eye brows. I stepped away from Randy and crossed my arms.

"Yes Randy, which one?" I asked him slightly amused at his reaction.

"Err, well you see…" He then looked at me. "Of course Mickie!" He said coughing and pulling me back to having his arms around me.

"Prove it, let me drive" Randy didn't say anything, he just looked needy to his car. "Yonk" He grabbed the keys and ran to the car, Randy ran after him. "NO! YOU DIDN'T TO PROTECT MICKIE! RE-TREAT RANDY RE-TREAT! LOOK A BEAR! Go protect your woman!" I shook my head at the both of them.

"You go near my car and I will kill you Ted!"

"What if I go near your woman ay? Oh don't worry Randy, been there done, done that"

"Stay away from my Bentley!"

"Can I have your woman then?"

"We'll talk about it, just give me they keys"

"That's all I wanted to hear" Ted grinned and threw the keys at him. "So baby, now you've heard the truth, can I sleep in Randy's bed tonight instead? It's going to thunder tonight"

"He tricked me"

"Yes, yes I did" Ted smiled and put his arm around me. "C'mon darling"

"You know what, screw you guys, I'm driving!" I stole the keys from Randy's back pocket and sat in the driver's seat. Randy and Ted both started laughing. "What?"

"Yeah, you driving baby, that's funny"

"And why is that?" I asked Ted confused.

"Well, women can't drive, obviously" Randy sniggered, Ted patted Randy's back.

"Bye guys" I told them, closing the door to Randy's Bentley and driving off. I looked in the re-view mirror to see Randy running after the car and Ted just laughing. That will teach them.
