Cant Hide Forever

Chapter 10

Chloe and Dean were sitting in the motel room not sure how to even begin. The motel room was a small standard room with two beds. It had a small tv, dresser, and a bathroom. The curtains made your eyes hurt and there was painting on the wall Dean had been staring at. After a few minutes Chloe broke the silence.

"Dean in order for us to talk, that would require you to speak"

"Right. I uh zone off"

"Well that is a one of a kind painting, don't you think" Chloe replied, trying to lighting the mood.

Deah sigh. "Chloe I wish I didn't have to leave you, back in Smallville but I had a job to do" Dean missed his days in Smallville. He missed the time they spent together. She made him feel like a normal guy.

" I understand now, that you had to. You had a commitment to your lifestyle, you're out saving people from the things that go bump at night"

"Wish it was that dam simple Chlo, but I've done ugly things, I've seen ugly things. Being a hunter came with a lot more than I expected. Demons, Angels, God, Lucifer, it would take me hours on hours to tell you the hell I've experienced. "

"Well, I'm not going anywhere Dean. We should talk about what happen in the park" Chloe really hoped Dean wasn't upset or disappointed in her. Especially after hearing about her relationship with Lex. She had no idea if Lionel would someday come after her or Lex was even alive. Clark didn't give her much information when they talked about Lex before he and Clark headed out.

" I was a total Ass Chloe, you didn't deserve that, probably hard enough bringing all that up"

" That you were, but I still like you" Chloe smiled slightly.

Dean and Chloe were now sitting by each other on the bed. "Its runs in the blood. Part of the Demon hunting gig "Dean joked.

"You know, that Lex is in my past. He wasn't the person I thought he was. I had hoped he wouldn't turn out to be like his father. He showed me a side at the cabin, that I hadn't seen before, but after awhile he was a dang Luther. He and his father seemed to be after the same thing"

" I'm sorry, Chloe. You shouldn't of been with that sorry excuse of a man. What was he after" Dean was mad. Chloe didn't deserve to be done this way. He wonders if he never left Smallville if things would be much different.

"Calm down Dean, it's over. I'm here now with you. You don't have to worry about me pawing after Lex Luther. He was going to take something from me, without my permission. a part of me, and he accomplish that in that explosion. "

" Alright, but what was he after Chloe! What did he need so desperately that would jeopardize your life"?

"I can't tell you"

" What do you mean you can't tell Me"

" Its just not my place to tell you, I would be breaking my friends trust."

" Its Clark isn't it" Dean questioned. He could sense something about the tall nerdy looking boy"

" Yes, but that's all I can say, his secret has put me in danger but Clark is worth it. He's my best friend and he is a good person."

Chloe layed back on the bed, starring at the celling. Dean followed her lead.

"We be sitting on the edge of the bed way to long"

"I can deny, but you laying across a bed beside me is pretty dam sexy"

" I see some things never change"

They layed in silence next two each other just relaxing and enjoying each other's presence. Dean spoke quietly

"Where you going to keep it?"

"Keep what"

"The Baby, your baby" Dean was almost afraid to ask, in fear it was a sensitive topic.

" I wanted to, I was going to but Lex was going to force an abortion on me, even if he had to drug me to do it. At the time, I felt that a baby would change my life for the better and that a baby would maybe change Lex. I was foolish though. Lex is a monster"

" I see, you should be starting your freshmen year in College, letting some sleezy drunk college boy chase after you, not here with an old geyser like me. Not here chasing Demons, I shouldn't of left Smallville, maybe if I stayed you could avoided this shit with Lex"

"Dean, you knew I was in contact with Lionel. I was goanna get myself into trouble with or without Lex around, and good lord you're not old. Your far from being old"

" Chloe I'm nearly 10 years older than you, we had to stay clear of your dad."

" It was fun hiding from my dad, exciting. I don't care how old you think you are Dean, you're not old"

" I miss those days Chloe. I want those days again"

" You may just have them Dean, I'm here. I'm not leaving and your not leaving me. I won't allow it. I'll be here with you no matter what crazy adventure awaits us"

" Its dangerous. Its not white picket fences, puppies, and sunshine. I'm always on the move."

"I know Dean. I'm In"

" Chloe, the reporter in you is something else. Your always getting into wild situations"

" Well. I want you Dean, I want to be by your side. I'm stuck to you like glue now. So deal with it. Now please, stop talking and kiss me" Chloe informed Dean.

At that moment. Dean did what she asked.

Smallville, Kansas

Clark and Lois were in the field at the farm. Clark was working while Lois stood watching and talking. Clark stopped what he was doing when he noticed a Black SUV pull up.

" Who's that, Smallville?"

"I don't know. Lois stay here. I'll go greet them"

Clark made his way over to the SUV, when a tall man dressed in a nice suit stepped out. He couldn't believe his eyes. The person who stepped out of the SUV was a man he believed to be dead.

" Clark, Lois, its been awhile. I'm back in town. We should talk privately Clark?'

" No, we can talk here with Lois. You shouldn't be here. I have nothing to say to you"

" We're old pals aren't we Clark, I haven't been gone that long have I that, you have forgotten"

" Leave Lex, we have nothing to talk about"

" I know my father put us all in a mess, but I'm not him. I'm not the one who did the dirty deeds. In fact, I'm the one who lead your friend to safety. "

" Chloe was never safe"

"Speaking of Ms. Sullivan I need to know where I can find her, I'm assuming she is back to her small town reporter life"

" I haven't seen her, Lex." Clark sure wasn't going to tell Lex Luther anything about Chloe or were she would be"

" Fine, have it your way Clark. I'll fine her, its important I speak with her" Lex stated than turned to leave"

That was pointless, farmboy and Lois aren't going to tell me what I want to know. I need to find Chloe, In need to know if she still pregnant with my child, because that could be dangerous. We don't need a child not with my mission or my father larking around in the shadows. Its going to be challenging location her, let alone getting her to trust me again but I need to know about the baby and the information she has on Clark. "OH and Clark, one more thing...You should know that my father is around, in fact he is being put on Trial, Ms. Sullivan would play an important role in regards to the trail"

Lex had then entered his SUV, which was a large step up from the tiny sports car he is know to drive. He drove off the Kent farm and headed to his office, to attemtp to locate Chloe.
