How Taking Down Legacy Failed
Becky's P.O.V
"When I get pregnant-"
Cody and I looked at each other. "Did he just say 'when I get pregnant'?" Cody whispered. Nodding at Ted, who had stopped and was suddenly looking thoughtful.
"Yes, Codykins, Yes I did." Ted announced, still looking thoughtful. He clicked his tongue before grinning, "When I get pregnant- oh, come on you guys!" He looked annoyed at our disbelieving expressions, "With the way that science is developing, men will be able to carry the baby soon enough!"
"And you… want to?" I asked.
"Hell yeah! And then we'll finally be able to see what is worse – childbirth or kicking in the balls."
"Wrong!" Cody corrected, "You won't… you know, give birth to the baby… they'd probably remove it… what's it called? Oh yeah, a Caesarean!"
Ted suddenly looked crestfallen, "But… I wanted to push the baby out!"
"Where from?" I demanded.
Ted considered this before saying, "Oh."
"Exactly."
Ted suddenly grinned wickedly, "So, Rebecca, when are we going to seeing little Cody Jrs running around?"
I tried not to choke on my own saliva and held my hands in front of me, almost defensively, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I think you're jumping the…" I suddenly paused, would it be insensitive to say jumping the 'gun'?
"Gun?" Cody prompted with a knowing smile on his face.
"Gun." I admitted, "Ted, you're about fifty-billion steps ahead of us there."
"Fifty-billion and one." Cody agreed solemnly.
"Well, y'know," Ted smirked, "Mickie didn't know that she was pregnant either…" He widened his eyes pointedly.
"No."
"No?"
"No."
"Oh." Ted looked sad, "That would be cool. Then your kids could fall in love and make more babies."
"Ted…" Cody looked grossed out, "They'd be cousins."
Ted's eyes almost popped out of their sockets, "Oh yeah! You're going to be an aunt!" He jerked a finger at me.
"Yeah…" I felt quite sad suddenly. I had thought that I was an aunt with Alana but it turned out I wasn't. The truth of that still depressed me.
"How long do you think it'll be since Mickie and Randy come back?"
I checked my watch, "Not long… I need to go soon. One of my friends for college lives locally, so I'm going to go and visit her."
"Definitely a 'her' right?" Cody checked and I laughed, kissed him on the cheek and nodded.
"Get a room." Ted muttered under his breath.
Mickie's P.O.V
Today, we were at Raw; I was going to have to see Vince and talk to him about the baby. It had been a week since Becky identified the man in the sketch. Cody was still in hospital, but was on the road to recover, I think he was being released next week. He will start training for wrestling, but won't be actually returning for another six months or even more. Just so the fans don't forget him, he is going to be recording a lot of dashing segments which will keep showing until he is back where he belongs, in the ring.
Ever since Becky has not left Cody's side, she feels so guilty even though Cody tries to assure her it's not her fault. We've gone to see him everyday.
"John's in the ring" Ted announced. "Talking about Nexus"
"I can't believe Nexus asked him to join them, the same respect for them is no longer there" I shook my head in disgust.
"They should ask me to join, I would like make their team" Ted stood up. "Before I forget I got you something!" He passed me a box. I opened it to see some baby clothes.
"Cheers Ted, but you didn't have to…again" I told him smiling.
"I wanted to; you know just doing my bit…." It was almost like he was expecting me to say something, he then sighed. "Better go find Maryse, peace out baby and baby junior" He left the room.
I turned to Randy. "I think he's hinting to be god father" I told him.
"You think?" Randy replied, holding up some more presents. "There is more in the car"
"We haven't discussed that yet" Randy titled his head. "Godparents I mean"
"Oh right" He nodded. "We still have plenty of time, this one isn't coming out for awhile" He placed his hands on my stomach. "Actually we have no idea when it's coming out; we need to book you a scan"
"I know, but we've just been so busy, what with everything going on with Cody" I told him.
"I'll book you a scan later" Randy said, he placed his hand on the side of my head, using his fingers to twirl my hair. "I've been thinking, I've had a lot on my mind lately, I've been stressed out" He ran his fingers across my bare neck. "All this pressure has got me distracted, I need to….release" He trailed his fingers downwards. "So how about you help me, get some release" I just ran my hand down his chest, down to just above his trouser buckle, teasing him a little, before squeezing through the gap to move away from him. "What?" He asked frustrated. "My health teacher said it would be ok!"
"I just want to make sure everything is ok, I know what sounds stupid, but it's what I want to do" I said to him, he sighed and gritted his teeth, taking in a deep breath.
"You didn't have to tease me" He mumbled like a child.
"Mickie likes to have her fun" I flashed him a smile tapping his cheek. "I better go see Vince"
"Don't be too long and stay out of people's way" He warned me.
"You alright Ted?" I said as I went past him in the corridor.
"Yeah, just got laid"
"Cheers for that irrelevant piece of information Ted" I shook my head. "You know, there is a video of you dancing on youtube"
"I'm aware, I put that up"
"What? So you're Dibiase's posse?"
"That is correct"
"Why would you put up a video of yourself dancing?"
"Did you not see me up there? Damn, I stole the shirt, My ass can sure move"
"Awkward..."
"Don't worry, you will be up there soon enough" Ted tapped my back, I turned and looked at him suspiciously.
"What does that mean?"
"Well I will be vloging which means when we hang out, I will have the camera"
"You need my permission to do tha-"
"We have an offer for you" Wade stepped in my path, I jumped back. "I know you've said no in the past, but we want you to reconsider joining Nexus"
"You want her?" Ted chocked god smacked.
"This is such an honour! You will not regret this I swear! Of course I wi-"
"Mickie! Word!" Ted demanded.
"But I'm try-"
"Now!"
"Dammit Ted, what?" I asked when he had pulled me away from Nexus.
"You can't join Nexus"
"Oh Ted, I understand why you would be jealous, but really you should be happy for-"
"You're pregnant" Ted interrupted me.
"You know I hate it when you interrupt me Theodore!"
"Did you not hear what I said baby?"
"Yes I heard exactly what you wanted to say and I….oh shit…NOO!"
"Yes, baby yes"
"But, but…"
"Go on! Tell them!" Ted shoved me back over to them.
"Well?" Wade asked me, I opened my mouth to speak, but was cut off.
"Do you want that women's championship around your waist?" David stepped forwards.
"Well of course, but not now becau…."
"We know you hate Cena and we can help you" Wade cut me off, would they just let me finish!
I put my hands on my hips and looked at them all suspiciously. "I would like to hear Justin say this" I smirked. Justin glared at me. Wade turned to him and pulled him forwards. "Well Justin?"
"We would…" He took a deep breath, he clenched his fists. "like you to join Nexus"
"See what wasn't so hard" I said patronising him. "Now you see I…"
Wade placed his finger on my lip. "Let us know your decision after our match" He told me, he let his finger linger there, he smoothed my lip over and stepped forwards, oh god he wasn't going to kiss me again, was he?
"I can't" His brows narrowed.
"Hello there" Ted stepped in between me and Wade. "Since she turned down your offer, isn't there anything you would like to ask me?" Nexus just starred at him before walking away. "Your never going to find anyone else like me!"
"That's the point" I told him smirking.
"Don't you have somewhere to be? Like oh I don't know, the kitchen" Ted retorted.
"I'm on my way to Vince's actually"
"Trying to talk him out of our storyline? Not going to happened babe" I didn't even have to turn around to see who that voice belonged to. "We have a promo tonight, wear that cherry lip gloss, it's my favourite" John smirked. "Saw you in this weeks WWE magazine, spreading those legs, it used to be me between them""Yeah well now it's Randy" I told him spitefully. "Come on Ted" Ted did the you can't see me thing to John before following me. "I can't wait to see his face when he hears the storyline is off, I wish I could grow a moustache so that I can twirl it when I have a diabolical thought" I sighed. "Unfortunately, I am a girl and cannot grow such a wonderful thing"
"Maybe you can't, but I can!" Ted gloated.
"That's true, but you'd look ridiculous with a beard" Ted looked shocked. "Don't give me that look; can you seriously picture yourself with a beard and looking good?" I didn't even realised we had walked into Vince's office, I turned to him to see he looked amused by the conversation me and Ted were having.
"Miss James" He nodded.
"Mr McMahon" I nodded back. "There is something I need to tell you"
"She's pregnant!" Ted cheered.
"Would you once let me tell people for myself? You told Randy, you told Becky and Cody and now you tell Vince, if you tell my parents, your dead meat!" I shook my fist at Ted.
"Well congratulations" Vince smiled. "I take it this means you will be out of action, ring and segment wise" I nodded. "Ok, I will pass on the news to Mr Cena" The fact that I was going to be having a baby still hadn't sunk it yet. So much has been going on that I haven't had much time to even think about it. Hell, I don't even know how far I am along because I haven't gone for my first scan.
"Come on baby, better get you back to Randy before he gets worried"
"Lets go!" We left Vince, but then I saw a group backstage that interested me. "Hold up there Ted" I pointed over to where I was looking, Ted smirked.
"Well your going to be supervised by me so why not!" We walked over to the group and sat down in the chairs next to them, they looked up at us.
"Hello, we would like to become members of the SES" Ted told them.
"We want to be saved, right Ted?" I then joined in not having a clue what to say.
"Right Mickie"
"Alright" CmPunk said. I thought he was going to kick us off, but then he stood up. "Raise your hands" He told me and Ted, we looked at each other before doing so. "This pledge absorbs you with all your weaknesses, this pledge erases every bad decision you've made in all your insignificant lives, this pledge makes you better then everybody, so please repeat after me, I pledge allegiance to the straight edge society"
"I pledge allegiance to the straight edge society" Me and Ted said in union both trying to keep straight faces.
"One nation under punk"
"One nation under punk" Me and Ted repeated.
"That I…"
"Can you hold on a second?" Ted asked him, they all gave Ted an odd look. Ted pulled a packet of cigarettes from his pocket. "Any of you guys happen to have a lighter?" The look on their faces was priceless.
"I'm off to the bar, want to join me gallows? Drinks on me!" I smiled cheekily at him.
CmPunk looked at us in shock. "Oh" I said softly. "It's like this punk…"
"We want to join your organisation, but we don't want to shave our heads, give up drinking or smoking, we can still join right?" Ted interrupted me.
CmPunk chuckled and looked down before holding up a razor. "NO! I'm too beautiful!" Ted grabbed hold of his short hair. "TAKE HER!" and ran off.
"I well I…I love Justin Gabriel!" I shouted before running off after Ted. He dove into our locker room, I followed him in.
"Mickie your not bald!"
"You really think I would let them shave my hair?" I asked Ted.
"Do I even want to know what you two have been up to?" Randy asked us, we just grinned. "I don't want to know" He shook his head. "Did you see Vince?"
"Yep, all has been taken care of" I told him, he smiled and nodded. "So Ted, since when did you smoke?" I asked him gesturing to how he had the packet of cigarettes earlier.
"Oh I don't, Randy asked me to pick them up for him"
I placed my hands on my hips and faced Randy. "What? If this is going to be my last one, I want to enjoy it"
"Your last one…your quitting?" I beamed.
"Yep, for us and for the baby" He grinned, lightening one up. I pulled him into a hug, but the smell of the cigarette made me pull away.
"My lungs!" Ted cried out.
Randy rolled his eyes. "Do you want to go?"
"Lets, I don't want to be out in the thunder storm"
"Why not?" Ted asked.
"She's afraid of thunderstorms" Randy smirked, nudging me.
"I'm not afraid! Just a little…freaked out"
"Cute" Randy chuckled.
We went back to the hotel, Becky was there, she and Randy were hanging out tonight, Cody made her leave his side. About half an hour of being at the hotel, Randy walked in just buttoning up his shirt.
"Want to join us?" He asked me, him and Becky were going to go see a movie.
"No it's ok; I'm really tired and just want to go to bed"
"Your feeling ok aren't you?" He walked over to me pressing his hand to my forehead. "I can stay in if you want and just go out another…"
"No" I told him firmly. "It's just been a long day, I'm fine" I smiled at him.
"Alright, but if you need anything, I've got my phone"
"I know, I know, go on go!"
"Maybe I should say"
"Randy I'm fine"
"Come with me babe"
"Too tired, besides brother and sister bonding!"
"I'd rather have Mickie and Randy bonding" He suggested, looking at me hopefully.
"Oh so now your resorting to third person?"
I waited until I heard the door slam before going to my bedroom. I walked in to see Ted was sprawled out across my bed.
"I've been waiting for you" He said seductively trying to keep a serious face.
"Alright Ted, I'll play, what the hell are you doing in my bed?"
"It's comfy" Ted replied child like.
"It's not comfy when you don't have anyone to snuggle with!" I ran and jumped on the bed next to him,
"Snuggle buddy!" Ted shouted out tickling me.
