How Taking Down Legacy Failed

Mickie's P.O.V

I groaned as I sat up, lifting my head slightly so I could see over my shoulder at my alarm clock, it was ten. I fell back down onto the bed and turned to see Randy, only he wasn't there. Early morning cuddles aren't fun when you're the only one there! I got out of the bed and went into the living room to see everyone up. Becky and Cody were hanging in the kitchen, Ted was, well Ted was on the floor, Randy and Mandy were on the couch laughing at something.

"Morning" I yawned.

"Morning babe" Randy said, still half laughing from his conversation with Mandy. I starred after them and sighed, I knew this jealous and insecurity wouldn't go away anytime soon. I wish I had a reason to hate her, I wish she was horrible to me; I wish she said something spiteful, anything just to have a reason to hate her!

"Morning Ted"

"Hmp" He looked me up and down angrily, stormed past me and into his bedroom.

"What is it now?" Cody chuckled, shaking his head. I love how this behaviour is expected from Ted.

"Basically, since me and Randy are having a baby, he thought we should have one of our own so he brought a toy dinosaur and I lost it, he got mad. I then got a tweet saying that he couldn't raise the dinosaur with me anymore because I am an unfit parent and that he would be taking it"

"I remember that!" Randy's voice echoed through my mind, I turned to see he was laughing at yet another thing Mandy had said. Really, Randy, really? Would this go on forever? Constantly referring back to the past? I'm sounding like the bitter jealous girlfriend which I swore I'd never be.

"Hey Randy, I was going to go and get some coffee, want to come with?" I asked him, hoping this would get his attention off Mandy and onto me.

"Nah I'm alright babe" He quickly kissed the back of my hand and went back to his conversation with her, I turned my head to Cody who just smile and shrugged slightly. I went back in my room and got changed; preparing to go get some coffee...alone…normally he always wants to come with, oh wait that's change now since Mandy's here. I feel like such a bitch, she hasn't said anything bad to me, but I guess…I'm just jealous of the amount of time Randy and her spend together.

"Ok, so here I go…" I was ignored. "Ok…Ted" I turned to him, he lifted his head up. "Where's Maryse lately? Not that I'm complaining"

"You've just noticed? She's been gone for ages, she is taking time off" He shrugged. I nodded, grabbed my keys I left. I didn't get far until I heard….

"Mickie?" I turned my head and saw the one person I hadn't seen in a long time.

"Melina?"

"Yeah, hey" She said to me, stepping closer. "It's been a while"

"Yeah, it has been" I replied awkwardly. "You back now?"

"Yes, finally recovered, it's good to be back" I nodded in response; we hadn't exactly left on good terms. We stood like that for thirty seconds; I didn't know whether to just walk off. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry, for a lot of things" She spoke up; I raised my brows in surprise. "I know we left on bad terms and things haven't been amazing between us, but I like to think I've done a bit of, how can I put this without sounding cheesy? Soul searching" She said laughing, I joined her in laughter. "So I was hoping we can just forget a lot of the stuff that's happened? Truce?" She stuck out her hand.

"Truce" I took her hand in my mine.

"So, do you want to go get some coffee?" She asked.

Becky's P.O.V

"Stop it."

Cody looked at me and dropped his gaze, smiling sheepishly, "Sorry… it's just…" he let his voice trailed off but his eyes flickered back to Randy and Mandy who were both sitting close and giggling.

I put my hands on his shoulders and spun him away from their direction, "You'll get yourself overly paranoid."

"Right…"

"Cody…"

He blinked and then opened his eyes, looking directly at me, a small smile on his face, "Sorry. Right." He cleared his throat slightly, "So, your birthday is coming up soon, right?

"Unfortunately." I grinned, "I'm going to be so old."

Cody gave me a disbelieving look, "You're going to be the same age as me. That's not exactly ancient… you're still the youngest! I mean, Mickie's six years older than you!"

"I'm halfway to fifty!" I clutched my heart, "Oh, I can feel the arthritis and fake hip coming on." He poked me in the ribs and I laughed. "Okay, maybe I'm being slightly over-dramatic but I can't help but think that there's a huge gap between twenty-four and twenty-five."

"Shut up." Cody told me pleasantly, "What do you want? I need to get you something good."

"Nothing."

"Shut up."

I laughed, "Oh, you're so kind. No seriously, I don't know. I don't care. After you're twenty-first birthday, they seem kind of pointless."

Cody grinded his teeth irritably, "Great, now I have to think for myself." He scratched his chin as he thought about, "Something that you won't expect."

I pulled a face but at that moment, a face appeared between us. "Your birthday? I didn't know that! Can we have cake? Please? And balloons! And party games! Ooh, this is so exciting!"

"Ted, it's my twenty-fifth not my fifth."

"That's what I did for my last birthday!" Ted said defiantly.

Cody and I looked at each other before back at Ted, confused, "No you didn't. We went to the movies and then out for dinner."

Ted suddenly held up his nose, "I can have more than one birthday party. I do have other friends and I would like you to know that Senior Cuddles, Sergeant Teddy, Capt. Teddy Jnr and I had a wonderful time!"

I looked at Cody but he just shook his head. I looked back and Ted and then admitted, "It worries me that I'm not surprised."

Ted smiled evilly but there was a sudden outbreak of laughter. We all looked over to where Mandy and Randy was sitting, heads close together. Cody frowned again and even Ted looked thoughtful.

"They look like a couple." Ted noted.

I swallowed, "Well, they used to be."

Randy laughed again before he spotted us looking, he frowned at us for staring before he glanced around the room curiously, "Where's Mickie?"

I frowned, "She went to get coffee… you said goodbye to her!"

Randy looked surprised, "I did? Wow, I don't even remember that." He laughed before turning back to Mandy.

I looked at Cody and Ted, who were both looking uncomfortable. I couldn't help but notice that the feeling was mutual.

Mickie's P.O.V

"Oh god, I remember that!" I cringed, taking a sip of my coffee. "I thought he was so cool!" Melina threw her head back and laughed. We had been having our coffee for nearly an hour, just catching up, talking about old times; it really was like being with the old Melina. "I really liked that guy! I remember telling you how much we hit it off, until his parents walked by and he started begging them, down on his hands and knees to buy him a new video game!"

"Your reaction was classic! Do you remember when I first started dating Paul?"

"Oh my god, yes! Is he the one when your mom met him for the first time, your mom told you in Spanish how ugly he is and that you have extremely bad taste and he happened to be fluent in Spanish!"

"I never saw him again" She choked on her coffee. I couldn't help but smile, I was having a really good time, I shouldn't because a few months ago I hated this girl! But talking to her like this again, I think I had actually really missed her.

"We have had some bad luck on men ay" I chuckled.

"Yeah" She smiled. "So how are you and Randy?"

"Ah" I said simply putting my lips to my coffee mug.

"Not good?" She asked curiously.

"It's not that it's not good, we've been fighting a lot lately" I found myself actually wanting to talk to Melina about my problems with Randy, like I used to before. It felt like I couldn't speak to anyone about him, I mean there were Ted and Cody, but they aren't girls, they can't fully understand and Becky is his sister and good friends with Mandy so I couldn't talk to her.

"About what?"

"Mandy"

"Mandy?"

"She's Becky and Randy's childhood friend, Randy's old love"

"Oh"

"Yeah" I looked down.

"Is she a bitch?"

"That's the thing" I laughed looking up. "She isn't, she's…perfect….perfectly annoying though. She has been nothing but nice to me, but I can't stop disliking her and I know it's just because I'm jealous of her and Randy's friendship and I hate feeling like that"

"How long is she staying?" Melina asked me, leaning back into her seat.

"She just got a job with the WWE so a long time" I grimaced. "I know this sounds stupid, but before he would always come get coffee with me, but he was too busy with her"

"It's not stupid" Melina told me. "When you're in the situation you tend to notice these things more"

"Exactly" I said, right response! "The others would have told me I was being stupid"

"Randy wouldn't fall for her, he has you and looks like you have a baby on the way, congratulations girl by the way!"

"Cheers" I laughed putting a hand on my stomach. "But thing is, he says he loves me, but he thought he loved Sam and he still cheated on her with me, especially when she was pregnant, what is stopping him from doing the same to me with Mandy?"

"I take it you've spoke to him about her"

"Yeah, didn't go well, we ended up arguing, I hate arguing with him, he gets so nasty" I shook my head. "Anyway, enough about me, how is the love life for you?"

"It's been ok, been on a couple of dates, but nothing special" She shrugged. "How is Ted?"

"He's ok" I said softly. "Do you still speak to John?"

"Eugh, no" She shuddered. "That time of my life is over"

"Ditto" I joked.

She laughed. "Listen I have to go, but I've liked today, we'll have to do it again, another catch up"

"Definitely" I smiled. "Want to have coffee tomorrow, same time? Looks like Randy will be too busy" I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Sure, see you tomorrow" She waved and left. I slumped back into my chair, I felt this really strange feeling, I felt sad, I started thinking about Ted and how I know he isn't yet over Melina, how I know this? You should see his history, he looks up her twitter, her you tube channel, all of it. I finished off the rest of my coffee before going back upstairs.

I walked into the room, straight into Ted and Cody's conversation. "Like my underdeveloped breasts?" Ted said rubbing his chest, I gave him an odd look. "Err Mickie….if you were in the room you would have got that!"

"Ted, I was in the room and I didn't get that" Cody looked at him oddly too.

"Oh Ted" I ruffled his hair.

Sir!" Ted snapped, slapping my hand from his hair. "You shall refer to me as sir. How dare you insult me? Do you think yourself equal with me?"

I exchanged looks with Cody. "Alright Te…" He looked at me dangerously. "Sir…." He nodded approvingly, got up and left. "Wow, identity crisis" I jerked my thumb in Ted's direction. I walked over to Randy and Mandy, they were right where I left them. "Randy, can we talk?" I asked him.

He didn't even look in my direction. "Not right now babe"

"But Randy…"

"Later" He shooed me off.

"Fine" I muttered walking into our bedroom. I laid down on our bed, I didn't know whether to tell Ted about my run in with Melina or not, I knew he was going to find out she was back eventually, but I don't know…that's what I wanted to talk to Randy about. I felt the door open, I looked up to see Randy, he was looking for something.

"Aha" He said once he found what he was looking for. "You coming out babe?" I didn't say anything, just shrugged a little. "Oh come on Mickie, your not pissed again are you? Just because I didn't follow your demands"

I sat up. "No, I'm not pissed off" I said, but now I was pissed off for him thinking I was pissed off.

"You can't expect me to leave Mandy in a middle of the conversation to do what you say at the click of your fingers"

"That wasn't what I was doing, you always say I start the fight, but I didn't do anything, I was just thinking"

"I never said that" He told me sternly.

"You didn't have to"

"You know, I can't be bothered with this" He rolled his eyes and walked out the room. I rested my head back on the pillow, I didn't want to cry, but these bloody hormones are driving me crazy. I cried softly and quietly into my pillow, I heard the door open again and the weight on the bed shifted.

"Come on Mickie, don't cry" I heard Randy say, placing a hand on my back. "Look what was it you wanted to talk about?"

"Doesn't matter" I mumbled, hiding my face into the pillow.

"It obviously does, c'mon" He shook my shoulder. "Babe" He put his face down to where my arms were, he nudged his face through them and started to kiss my cheek. "Please?" He lifted me up and held me in his lap, moving the hair out of my face and wiped my eyes with his thumb. "Tell me?"

"I ran into Melina"

"Oh?"

"Yeah." I sniffed.

"Did you fight?" He asked, moving his arm around my waist, he faced rested in the crook of my neck.

"The opposite actually, we had coffee and just talked like old times" I smiled thinking back. "It was nice…."

"That's good babe, so why are you upset?"

"I just thought about Ted, How he is going to react, she did break his heart" I lifted my head up to look at him, he leant lower and kissed my lips before resting his head on the top of my head, his hand stroked my thigh softly.

"I don't think you should tell him, I think you should let him find out she's back naturally, so he can see how he feels when he actually comes face to face with her" Randy told me, I agreed with him kind of.

"So I shouldn't tell him that me and her are back on speaking terms, or that I'm having coffee with her tomorrow?"

"Your having coffee with her tomorrow?" Randy asked in surprise.

"Yeah, why?"

"Are you sure you can trust her?"

"Yes, it was nice speaking to her again, it's not like I'm telling her all my secrets" I told him, confused by his surprise reaction.

"What about Becky?"

"Randy, I can have more then two girl friends" I shifted my eyes. "We have that history, just like you and Mandy do" He raised his brow at me. "No pun intended" He moved slowly away from me. "Randy, I didn't mean anything by…"

"I didn't say anything" He held his hands up in defence before exiting the room. I sighed, slumping back onto the bed. "Me and my big mouth" I mumbled.
