How Taking Down Legacy Failed

"How was your scan?" Becky asked as me and Randy walked into their hotel room. There was Becky, Cody, Ted and Mandy. Mandy and Ted were sitting on the opposite sides of the room, Mandy was starring adoringly at Ted and Ted was on the phone.
"It was fine, everything looks good" I told her, my eyes flickered back over to Ted. I went over and sat by him. "Who you talking to?"
"I'm not" He whispered back at me. "Oh Percy! You're so funny!" He then laughed loudly. Randy went over and sat next to Mandy, distracting her attention from Ted. I just pray to god she wasn't about to tell him about her and Ted otherwise, we're screwed. Despite the fact me and Mandy haven't always seen eye to eye, I wouldn't want to see her be humiliated and I know it may not seem like it at some times especially when it's women concerned, but Ted does have a conscience.
"What are you doing?" I asked him suspiciously. He was over exaggerating every word of his 'phone call' and kept speaking loudly for all in the room to hear.
"This way, Mandy will see I'm on the phone so she will know it's not a good time to come up and talk about….us" Ted shuddered at the last bit. I can't wait for the day Ted finally settles down, like has a wife and a kid and everything. I was surprised how hard he fell for Melina, I know he still misses her and I think even though she hasn't said much about, she misses him too. I didn't want to tell Ted this incase I was wrong. Did I think they were going to get back together? I'm still unsure. I think although she has forgiven him, she doesn't want the relationship to be how it was last time.
"Since when did you become so anti-relationships?" I asked, picking up on his shuddering.
"Hey! Randy used to be so much worse than me" So I have heard about this, apparently the idea of him being in a relationship made him sick. What he liked about having Sam around was that she stayed in St Louis and he still messed about and no doubt she did too. I wonder what the Randy from two years ago would have thought about us now.
"But look at him now, engaged, with a baby on the way" I smiled, rubbing my belly. I looked over at Randy, he caught my eye and smiled and mimed ' I love you ' which I mimed back. He made me so happy by just doing something as simple as that. I suppose if you would have told me I would have ended up with Randy Orton two years ago, I would have laughed, but look at me now, who knew that ass hole could make me as happy as I am.
"Sell out!" Ted coughed, he quickly straightened up and pretended to be on the phone still when Mandy glanced over. "Oh Percy! Hel-ar-ious!" Once again, he said it loudly so the whole room heard it, especially Mandy. The fact that he was practically shouting his phone call, just made it really obvious it wasn't real!
I shook my head and laughed at the odd looks he was receiving from Becky and Cody. "Why Percy?….wait…isn't that what you called your fish? No wonder you're getting weird looks Ted! Stop it!"
"You just had to bring that up didn't you…" Ted sniffed. "Percy passed away…." Oh crap…foot in the mouth! I shifted awkward and put my arm around Ted to give him a comforting pat on the back.
"Oh Ted…that's terrible… I know how much you cared for… Percy" Ted pulled a tissue out of his pocket and dabbed at his eyes, he wasn't even crying so I did not see the point! But you know Ted.
"Thank you Mickie for those kind words" He nodded at me, I sent him back an awkward smile. "I'm ok, my parents brought me a new one" He replied, putting the tissue away and returning back to his smiley self.
"What did you call it?" A long list of ridiculous names ran through my head, but which one did Ted pick, I reckon either Miley or Codykins. Not that Codykins is a ridiculous name, but I know Cody wouldn't appreciate Ted naming his goldfish after him. I still remember the day we got Percy, it was such a random, but good day.
"Percy 2" Ted replied, getting out his phone and showing me a picture of this fish.
"Figures."
"You know baby…" Ted said to me, looking pretty ridiculous as he was holding the phone up to his ear whilst talking to me, I hope for the matter of Mandy's intelligence that she has worked this out by now. "to help me get over Percy's passing…" He let out a little cry. "To remember him, I think you should name your baby after him"
"No way"
"Oh c'mon, at least think about it"
"Ok…..nope, not going to happen!"
"Randy!" Ted called over to him, both Randy and Mandy turned their heads towards us. "What do you think of the name Percy?"
"I don't like it." Randy replied.
"I love you!" I called over to him, he smirked and gestured for me to go over. I gave him the one minute signal. "We really need to sort this out, you can't avoid her forever"
"You're the one who told me to! Whilst you think of a plan and FYI it's taking you ages!"
"You try and think of something then Mr Screw up" I said angrily, getting up to go over to Randy and Mandy.
"Fine! I will!" Ted got up and headed towards the door. "I have to go meet Percy, later guys" He walked out the door which caused Randy to turn to me.
"Isn't Percy his…" I cut him off before he even finished.
"Don't ask" I told him, sitting down beside him. He put his arm around me and pulled me closer.
"You ok?" He asked me.
I nodded. "Just tired, but that's expected"
"How long left now?" Mandy asked me.
I told her. It was still a little awkward between us, but I was trying my hardest for it not to be. I don't want a repeat of what happened and I especially want to prevent it after what Ted did! "We have another scan picture, which is…." I looked around to see where I had put it.
"It's in your bag babe, I'll get it" Randy got up before I could stop him, I didn't want him to leave because that would leave me to make awkward conversation with Mandy! I slowly turned to face her, I smiled catching her eye.
"Say Mickie….has Ted said anything about?" She asked, trying to get information out of the best friend. What do I do? To say he has? Make up a load of rubbish? But that might get her hopes up….ok Mickie, you've already lied once this week to protect Ted, might as well carry on! All I know is that I'm going to get tangled in this web of lies soon enough.
"Umm, no he hasn't, did something happen between the two of you?" I played the dumb act. I looked over desperately at Randy to see he had started a conversation with Becky and Cody, he didn't look like he was coming back anytime soon, oh great! Come back Randy! Come save the day! I turned back knowing that I would have to answer more of these questions on Ted and I knew that I would have to lie some more. Ted better appreciate me as a friend!
"You could say that" She bit her lip. "We um….we" She looked around. "Slept together" She whispered to me. I starred at her blankly, she tilted her head, wondering why I didn't have a better reaction, oh shit, erm erm…
"Get out!" I gasped in pretend shock. "No way! You and Ted?"
"Yes!" She grinned at finally getting a reaction. "I mean….at first when he came to my hotel room, I didn't want to talk to him, but everything he said just made sense and we got talking" She smiled adoringly. "There is so much more to him then you would first think" You have no idea. I think I need to be there when Ted seduces his women because he sounds to be quite the charmer. I mean, I can't believe he managed to seduce Mandy, she knows what he is like and she still went with him and now has started to really like him.
"I agree" I chuckled nervously. "So you…" I scratched the back of my head awkwardly. "really like him huh?" I was praying in my head that she would just be like, nah it was a one night stand, I just hope he doesn't think there is more to it, but I knew my chances were slim of this.
"I see potential" She grinned. "It's just a shame he has to go and meet his friend Percy" She sighed. "I really wanted to talk to him"
"Well that's Ted for you….always dashing to different places…sometimes I don't see him for a week!" I lied trying to make it seem that her not seeing him or him not contacting her isn't out of the ordinary.
"Oh really?" She questioned. I nodded. "Oh….I'm debating whether to tell Randy about it" My eyes widened. "Do you think I should?" I was a little surprise she was asking me for advice, but I suppose it was because I knew Ted more then she does and I also know….did I know Randy more then her? I'm not sure, I'd like to think I do.
"Errmmm, well I think you should start telling people after a few weeks….you know…in case it doesn't work out" I told her, trying to buy Ted some more living time.
"Oh yes, your right, just in case, I won't tell him" She smiled at me. I sighed with relief.
"Won't tell him what?" Why did Randy pick that moment to return? Why? Why?
Me and Mandy exchanged looks. It looked like she wasn't going to say anything so it was up to me to think of something! "It's a surprise I have for you later" Another lie! My pants are on fire today! Randy grinned at that.
"I'm going to go look for Te- someone" My heart skipped a beat at the fact she nearly revealed that something was going on between her and Ted! She got up and left the room, I quickly got my phone out to send a quick text to Ted. 'Run Ted, run for your life!'
"So you and Mandy seem to be getting on" I looked up from my phone and saw Randy smiling at me. I reckon that's why he went to go get the scan, speaking of which he didn't even get, just so that me and Mandy would talk. I don't think we'd ever be the best of friends, but that didn't mean I wasn't going to try, it was hard to start off a good friendship when I was already lying to her. He pulled my legs up so they were over his lap and pulled me closer into his chest. He placed his hand softly on my stomach and allowed me to rest my head on him, I was so tired so I began to close my eyes. "Don't fall asleep on me babe, I want my surprise"
"But my surprise won't be as good if I'm sleepy" I told him, yawning slightly. I still needed to think what his surprise could be, see what I mean, getting caught up in my lies! I felt him kiss the top of my head and he rested his hand on my thigh.
"Night beautiful" He whispered to me. Everything he does just makes me feel bad for lying to him, but hopefully I can sort this all out, I just had no idea how I was going to do that. I woke up an hour later, still on Randy's lap, I looked up at him and yawned. "How was your sleep?" He asked me.
"It was good, needed" I told him. "Say Randall, I have a problem"
"What is it?"
"I'm being…..picked on"
"You're being picked on?" He asked me with a strange look on his face. "Since when have you never been able to handle someone?"
"This is serious!" I slapped his chest.
"I'm sorry babe, I'm listening, who is picking on you?"
"Derrick Bateman" I told him.
"Derrick Bateman?" He repeated.
"Yes! Derrick Bateman!" I said in frustration. "The NXT rookie! He has been being mean to me, I think you should go and sort him out"
"Well what did he say?"
"This and that"
"Babe, I can't go and destroy the guy if you haven't told me what he did"
"He was picking on me! That's all you need to know! Now go be all snake like on him and then report back to me! I expect there to be blood on your knuckles when you return" I stood up and grabbed his hand, trying to pull him up to. "Go Maggie! Go!"
"What the fuck is a Maggie?"
"How could you forget? We went to see the first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows together! You know Maggie, Voldemort's pet snake!" I tried to explain.
"Babe….he called his snake Nagini" I titled my head. "Why the fuck would Voldemort name his snake 'Maggie?'"
"I don't know" I mumbled. "I just thought he was sensitive"
"He kills people babe….."
"Stop changing the subject!" I stamped my foot. "Go and get Derrick!"
"Not until you tell me what he has done!"
"Since when do I have to answer to you Nagini?"
"Since I'm the one who could be potentially ending this guy's career" Randy stepped forward and pulled me to him. "Now tell me"
"Fine…." I sighed heavily. "He out weirded me" I mumbled.
"What was that?"
"He out weirded me" I said with my hand over my mouth.
Randy pulled my hand away and titled my chin up so I was looking up at him.. "Once more and louder this time"
"He out weirded me ok?" I half yelled.
Randy looked taken back. "H-he out weirded you?"
"Yes" I went back to mumbled. Randy started laughing at me. "Don't laugh! It was the most humiliating thing to ever happen to me and now he must be destroyed!"
"Oh poor you babe"
"Can you go beat him up now?"
"Let me think about that…..NOPE"
"But….but….but….he hurt my feelings, my heart is broken" I put my fingers into a shape of a heart and then broke it apart.
"Aww babe" He pouted at me. "I'm going to go have a shower, want to join?"
"This is no time for showering Randall! This is time for kicking some Derrick ass!"
"So is that a no for joining me in the shower?"
"No, I don't want to go anywhere with you!"
"Fine with me babe" He started making his way to the bathroom. "Your loss"
"Fine!"
"Good!"
"Great!"
"Glad that sorted!"
"So am I!" The door slammed. "Asshole"
I went to go find Ted, I wasn't finished with him, not yet anyway. I found him peering down the corridor. "You" I spat in disgust.
"Me" Ted said dreamily. "What do you know about that fella there baby?" Ted pointed down the corridor at Derrick Bateman.
"Him" I said in equal disgust. "He was the guy I told you about! The one who out weirded me!"
"Interesting, interesting" He stroked his chin. "It seems we have a situation on our hands…..I guess I should take care of it before it becomes a bit of a….problem"
"I couldn't agree with you more" I said, giving him an encouraging pat on the back.
Me and Ted walked up behind him, Ted cleared his throat and Derrick turned around. I crossed my arms and leaned back, 'gangster style' whilst Ted bobbed his head 'gangster style' too. "So…." Ted said. "I hear your pretty weird"
"You heard correctly" Derrick replied, crossing his arms. "What of it?"
"What of it?" Ted repeated and then chuckled. "Oh you naïve little rookie" He said patronisingly. "You obviously don't know who I am….and you obviously haven't seen my work"
"I suggest you walk away before I humiliate you like I did your oompa loompa" Derrick looked down at me, I glared at him.
Ted's eyes darkened. "I came up with oompa loompa actually, and only I can use it, thank you very much"
"Is that so?"
"Oh it's so"
"Bring it on" Derrick stepped forward.
Ted then stepped forward to meet Derrick's challenge. "It's already on"
"OOOOOOOOOO" Both men turned to me. "Sorry" I mumbled.
"Age before beauty" Derrick said, smirking at Ted.
I saw Ted's eye twitch, you can always hit a nerve if you doubt Ted's hotness. Ted took a step back and took a deep breath. He stayed like that for thirty seconds, I worried that he couldn't think of anything to do, but suddenly he sprung to life. "I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH! I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH, I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH" He screamed the lyrics, whilst shaking his head up and down. "I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH, I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH, I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH!" He started to ripple along with his head back. "I WHIP MY-"
"Let's have some fun, this beat is sick" Derrick interrupted Ted's version of Willow Smith's I whip my head back and forth with a comeback song of Lady Gaga, Love game. "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick, don't think too much, just bust that thick, I wanna take a ride on your disco stick" Derrick sang moving his head close to Ted, Ted shoved him away. "Let's play a love game, play a love game. Do you want love, or you want fameAre you in the game, Dans le love game, Let's play a love game, play a love game-"
"Alright….alright cut the crap out now" Ted interrupted him. "This is going to get real serious now" Ted took a deep breath. He stepped to one side and starred into space. "HANNAH MONTANA!" Ted suddenly squealed. He then turned to face the other side. "Whoever you are! You need to get out of here right now before I call security!" He stepped to where was originally before. "Wait! Wait! No! I'm sorry, I was just looking for a souvenir, my name is Lily Truscott and I'm a HUGE fan!" Ted then stepped back and grabbed my bag, shoving his face into it. He then stepped back again. I starred at him in confusion, Derrick smirked. "Did you just shove pie in your face?" Ted again stepped back. "It's not a real pie! It's a facial" He stepped back. "What's wrong with your voice?" Stepped back again. "Oh that happens after every concert" He stepped back again and gasped. "You give so much-"
"Alright, I get it" Derrick cut him off.
"What was that?"
"He was re-enacting one of the scenes from the first Hannah Montana episode between Lily and Miley" My god. If Derrick was the enemy, him and Ted would make great friends. I understood now why Ted kept changing position. "My turn" he cleared his throat. "I could almost see it" He sang opera style. "That dream I'm dreaming, but there's a voice inside my head saying, you'll never reach it, ever-"
"NO! You can't do that! Instant disqualification! Derrick is disqualified!" Ted said angrily. "He stole my theme! I was doing Hannah Montana!"
"Yes you were…..and I was doing Miley Cyrus" Ted's face dropped. "A true fan would know that"
"I am a true fan for your information" Ted spat. "If you were her true fan, what is her real birth name?"
"Destiny Hope Cyrus"
"How tall is she?"
"5,4 and a half"
"When is her birthday?"
"Twenty third of November"
"Who is her godmother?"
"Dolly Parton"
"Who is her boyfriend?"
"Liam Hemsworth"
"WRONG!" Ted yelled in his face. "They broke up in August! In your face derelicte my balls!" Derrick cursed under his breath. "Uhuh, I'm Ted! I know it! I shake my big booty and show it!" Ted wiggled his ass at Derrick who just rolled his eyes. "Jiggle jiggle it to the left (ah ah ah), jiggle jiggle it to the right (ah ah ah) Jiggle it to the front then jiggle it to the back, And jiggle jiggle it all all night (ah ah ah)" Ted sang as he shimmied. "Hey ladies! Drop it down! Just want to see you touch the ground! Don't be shy girl go Bananza, Shake ya body like a belly dancer"
"Ok Theodore….that's enough now….you won…."
"Hey ladies! Drop it down! Just want to see you touch the ground! Don't be shy girl go Bananza, Shake ya body like a belly dancer"
"Stop it now Theodore…" I chuckled nervously. "Your embarrassing me now…."
"I whip my head back and forth! I whip my-" I smacked him on the back of his head. "Oww…." Ted said sadly.
"Man up!" He looked at me and then looked down. "Oh shit, I didn't hit you that hard, don't cry!" He let out a sniff. "I'll go get Cody, is Cody what you want?" Ted wiped his eye with his sleeve and nodded. "I'll go get him now!" I jogged back to the room, Randy was there with a towel around his waist and Cody was just watching a repeat of Raw. "Err Cody, can you come out here please?"
"Why?"
"I kind of….made….Ted cry" Randy and Cody's eyes just widened. "It was an accident!"
Cody sighed. "Alright….I'm becoming" He followed me to where Ted was who was still standing in the same place, he put his hand on Ted's back. "Are you ok buddy?"
"S-s-she hit me" He sobbed.
"I'm sure she didn't mean to"
"S-s-she did it on purpose" I had never felt more awkward in my entire life. "S-s-she didn't even say sorry"
"I am sorry Ted, I really didn't think you would cry over it"
"You see, she feels bad about it, give her a hug"
"I-I don't want to" He turned away.
"Come on Ted" Cody said, Ted turned back, sighed and reluctantly hugged me. "There you go, you feeling better?" Cody asked Ted, he nodded and wiped his eyes.
"I'm going to go get laid now" Ted turned and walked away.
"Why have we not taken him to a mental institution yet?" Cody asked me.
"Because life would be boring!" I shrugged.
