How Taking Down Legacy Failed
Mickie's P.O.V
"Up you get babe" Randy pulled at my foot for the fifth time, I groaned and pulled the pillow over my head.
"Let me sleep!" I whinged.
"We are already late as it is, .babe"
"Go screw yourself!"
"I told the guys you weren't a morning person…" Randy sighed, tickling at my feet, I kicked his hands away.
"Why couldn't we make it two? Why does it have to be ten am? Tell me Randall, why!"
"Becky wanted to make us all breakfast"
"I don't want breakfast" I mumbled. "I want to sleep"
"Oi" Randy sat beside me and slapped my backside. "Get up! Ted will be disappointed if your not there!"
"Go on without me!" I yelled into the pillow dramatically. Randy grabbed my hand and tried to pull me up. "If you love me, you'll let me sleep!"
"I do love you…"
"Then you'll let me sleep?"
"Hell no" Randy grinned, putting his arm under my back and his other under my legs and lifting me up. I whimpered as he took me away from my lovely warm better.
"Forgive me!" I called to my bed. I quickly struggled to get out of his arms when I realised he was going to take me in my night dress.
"Careful babe" He muttered trying to set me down. "I could have dropped you!"
I glared at him. "What are you trying to say?"
A look of panic spread across Randy's face. "No! I didn't mean it lik-"
"I know" I grinned again. "That was payback for taking me away from my bed, asshole"
He shook his head. "Now that your up…lets go!"
"I need to get changed"
"Then can we go?"
"Makeup"
"You don't need makeup" He said, cupping my face.
"I'll be as quick as I can!" I took his hands away from my face and rushed to get ready. I heard him sigh deeply and slump himself on the couch. I wasn't that long….fifteen….half an hour before Randy finally had enough and dragged me out. "You could have at least let me finish my hair" I mumbled.
"Your hair looks fine!"
I continued to grumble until we got there. We walked in and most were there…Cody…Becky…Mandy, but hold the phone, Ted was no where in sight! "Where the hell is Ted?" I whispered to Randy. "You said he would be disappointed if I wasn't here, but he isn't here!"
"Did I say that? Oh my bad" He smirked, he went to walk on, but I grabbed his arm.
"No Ted…no Mickie, I'm going back to bed, bye!" I tried to walk away but I knew what was coming. Randy snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me forwards. "I want my bed" I cried.
"Hormonal already Mickie?" Cody chuckled from the couch.
"Die Cody, just…die"
"She is so cute" Cody mocked as I sat down and pouted.
"Isn't she just" Randy teased, kissing my cheek.
"Sheamus would have let me sleep" I mumbled.
"Well Sheamus isn't your boyfriend"
"I know, but he is my man candy…." I mumbled again. "So is Justin"
"I'll be glad when we get the little monster out of you!"
"You called our child a monster?" I asked him, forcing my bottom lip to tremble; he looked like he instantly regretted what he said.
"No, I didn't mean it like that babe…I-" Before he could finish, Cody started to laugh, we both looked over at him.
"Man….has she got you whipped!" He commented, still laughing.
"Shut up Cody" Becky said.
"Yes dear" Cody replied.
I turned as I heard the door creek open, I was the first to see who was about to enter and I felt sick as soon as I did. In was about to walk Ted and one of his one night stands, I quickly looked over at Mandy who had not realised yet. I knew I had to think quickly. As Ted walked into the room followed by this mystery woman, I jumped up and ran over to them. "Claire!" I pulled her into a hug, she must have been confused as hell. "I didn't know you were coming! My friend!" Ted gave me an odd look. "Let's go in this room and catch up" I pulled the random woman into Cody's room.
"Ermm?" She said obviously feeling really awkward.
"I'm sorry, but Ted's….Ted's….wife is out there!" I lied.
"He's married?" The woman asked in shock. "But me and him….?"
"There marriage hasn't been the best lately and he thinks this is the answer" I let out a fake sigh. "She can't know, she is going through a rough time and this isn't the way she should find out"
"I understand, I can't believe he would do that to her….what a jerk" The woman replied, crossing her arms.
"I know, I know" I opened the door and she walked out first. The first thing she did was march straight up to Ted and slap him round the face, my jaw fell to the ground. Cody covered his mouth to cover up his laughter, Becky was grinning, Randy and Mandy looked both confused. She then stormed out, Ted held his cheek in shock and looked at me.
"Errr…..Mickie….why did your friend slap me?"
"I err…." I quickly scanned my head to try and think of a good excuse. "Because I told her how the other day….you…called me….a pig-headed douche stump"
"You said she was what?" Randy's angry voice said, Ted eyes widened and he slowly turned around to face Randy.
"I didn't say it!" He tried to protest.
Randy looked over at me. "He did too" I pouted sadly. "He also called you a Wart bun butt grabber"
"Oh c'mon Randy! I don't even know what those things are! Who are you going to believe me or the slut!" As soon as the words came out of Ted's mouth, he realised what he had said. He stood there awkwardly "So how long have I got….5 …4 seconds?" Randy took a step forward. "You'll never catch me alive!" Ted went to run out the room, but Mandy stopped him.
"Randy stop it! You're scaring him!"
Oh boy.
"Good." Randy stated, glaring at Ted. "Calling my baby a….something nasty" I rolled his eyes as he couldn't even remember the wonderful insult I came up with on the spot.
"Actually she's my baby and your babe…." Ted pointed out, Randy looked over at him warningly. "…Awkward…"
"You're such a woman Ted" Becky sniggered.
"Hey! I'm like…the manliest guy I know" He stated and crossed his arms. 'This is the potential breakup song, our album needs just one, oh baby please, please tell me' Belted out of Ted's cell phone, his eyes widened, what good timing…he is trying to prove how manly he is and the song potential break up by Aly & Aj play on his phone! "Right…well….this is Mickie's friend's phone, not mine"
"Nah, I've seen Ellie's phone, that's not hers"
"I thought her name was Claire?" Randy asked me suspiciously. I shot a look to Ted for help. Once again I was getting tangled up in all my lies because of him!
"No, she said Ellie, don't you listen Randy GOD" Randy gave him an unamused look. "I'm sorry…please don't hurt me"
"I know what I heard" Randy told Ted sternly.
"He is right Ted" I stepped forward and put my hand on Randy's chest. "I was…just testing you! To see if you listen to me"
"I always listen to you" Randy replied.
"I know that now" I smiled at him as I went on my tip toes and kissed his cheek.
"Good" Randy said kissing the top of my head, he then turned his attention back on Ted. "So…that's really your ring tone?"
"No! My little sister put it as th-"
"You don't have a little sister" Cody pointed out joining the conversation.
"Did I say little sister? I meant Brett, yeah Brett"
"I thought you said Brett was away in Europe" Becky took her place by Cody's side.
"What is this? Be mean to the ridiculously hot guy day?" Ted scoffed, crossing his arms firmly.
"Yeah leave him alone guys!" Mandy stepped in the middle by Ted, putting a comforting hand on his back. Ted didn't look happy at this gesture, but I sent him a dirty look to just deal with it!
"Yeah!" Ted yelled awkwardly. We all stood there, all not knowing what to say next, but when there is an awkward silence, there is always one who has to break it. "Where are my pancakes woman?" Ted asked Becky. "I was promised pancakes!"
"You were promised breakfast" Becky corrected him. "I said nothing about pancakes"
Ted just plainly blinked back at Becky as if he didn't fully understand what Becky was saying. "Pancakes woman!"
"How about we go and make the pancakes Ted? I need to speak to you anyway" I said, pulling on his arm.
Ted instantly drew back from me. "I'm not a woman! I do not belong in the kitchen"
"Just come on!" I huffed, forcing him along with me. Ted sighed and let me drag him to the kitchen.
When we got there, I turned to start shouting at him for stupidity bringing back another girl to the room, but stopped when I realised he just stood there, leaning against the counter smirking as if waiting for me to start making the pancakes, a stupid smirk on his face. "Ted, would you wipe that smirk off your face?" I huffed, giving him a hard scowl.
"Oh I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to annoy you, I just envy you, you were born so beautiful" He commented, I was quite surprised, I've never really seen Ted throw out any compliments to anyone but himself! "Unlike me" I sighed sadly, was he calling himself ugly? What the hell happened to my Theodore! "I was just born a….big liar" He grinned.
"Oh har har Theodore, har har"
"I know, I know, gorgeous and funny….now pancakes?"
"I didn't bring you in here for pancakes"
"What the hell does a HOT guy have to do around here to get some pancakes" He asked through clench teeth looking around. "Maybe Mandy will d-"
"Theodore!" I snapped. "You are the most stupid man I've ever met! What were you thinking of bringing that woman home!"
"Claire"
"What?"
"Her name is Claire" He corrected me.
"No…it wasn't! I just made that up"
"What? So you don't actually know her?" Ted asked, I slapped my forehead.
"No, Ted, I don't."
"So you lied to Randy?"
"I really want to hit you" I told him. "Yes I lied to Randy, just like I have been doing for the last week because of you!" I poked my finger hard into his chest.
"What going on here?" Cody asked, walking up to us in the kitchen. "Something tells me you aren't making pancakes"
"Don't remind me" Ted said sadly. "I just want pancakes….is that so hard to ask for?"
"So what is really going on?"
"Nothing" I told him, the last thing I needed was another person in on the lie.
"C'mon guys, you can't fool me, you've been up to something all week, I want in"
"There is seriously nothing goin-"
"I slept with Mandy" Ted said proudly.
"TED!"
"What? He broke me!" Ted held his hands up.
"He barely said anything!"
"What can I say, I'm a vulnerable soul"
"You did what?" Cody looked shocked. "You idiot! Why! Why would you do that! She's Randy and Becky's best friend!"
"I was TRYING to get her over Randy and it worked, so I don't know why you guys are so pissy about it!"
"We're pissy because they are going to fucking kill you Ted"
"This is what I've been dealing with all week" I said to Cody, starring at Ted in disgust.
"Why don't we like create a team, Team Ted! You guys can be like my body guards" Ted suggested.
"Oh no, no, no." Cody stepped back. "You created this mess, you solve it"
"You need to do it in a way that she won't want to tell Randy about" I said to him.
Ted stroked his idea. "I got it! I will just dump her and humiliate her in the process" Ted stepped forwards as if he were about to do it now, but me and Cody stopped him.
"You can't do that!"
"Why not!"
"Because we're women, we have feelings" I told him.
"Don't be silly baby, ugly people don't have feelings" Ted patted me on the head patronisingly.
"I'm telling" Ted scoffed at this. "Oh Randy!" I sang.
"No! No! Please don't! He'll kill me!"
"Oh Ted, what are we going to do with you" Cody shook his head.
