Chapter 12: One More Soul Being Taken
Dipper and Grunkle Stan sat on the couch exhausted from the on going attack from the possessed love ones. Soos was at the floor with bandages wrap around his body. The man child was breathing heavily while they were feeling tired.
"Why, why did you open that book?" asked Grunkle Stan. "I kept that book away so you guys wouldn't be harm by it, but now it's awake."
"I'm sorry... I didn't know," whispered Dipper. "I noticed you weren't acting okay, and I thought I could find a way to help you out."
The two Pines look at Soos, still unconscious and still hurt from the attacks. They became silent like there was no purpose to talk. They was wanted to figure out a way to stop this violent behavior from Mabel and Wendy.
"Listen Dipper... If we need to stop this demon, then you have to do everything I say," Grunkle Stan spoke with authority. "You can't disobey what I say, you need to do what I say, and you must be careful."
"Alright, I understand."
"Okay then, then the first thing we have to do is to open the basement door and we need to get those two out. After that, we need to Stan them with that demonic dagger."
"What?!" shouted Dipper.
"It's the only way that we can get the demons out. They will be suck into the dagger and we can destroy it."
Dipper didn't like the while dagger idea. He didn't want to hurt his sister and his crush. He,didn't want to have their blood on his hands.
"I know it sounds a bit savage, but it's the only way," exclaimed Grunkle Stan. "After the demons are gone, we can bring Mabel and Wendy back to life with the mystery book."
Dipper was having his doubt with the plan. It's going to be manslaught to take action with the plan, but what can they do. Two people have become possessed and one person is damaged by a violent assault. He look at Grunkle Stan and nod his head. Grunkle Stan sighs to know he is put so much on his nephew. He wished that the demons would just disappear from the Mystery Shack so none of this would have happen. The demons want people souls to satisfy their hunger and to take over the world.
"We're gonna get you," sang Mabel in the basement.
"We're gonna get you," Wendy sang along.
Dipper and Grunkle Stan look at the basement door to see it slightly open. Two pairs of white eyes stare at them with no exeperssion, no life. Dipper gulp in fear while Grunkle Stan stood up and walk close to the door.
"We're gonna get you. We're gonna get you. We're gonna get you. We're gonna get you."
Grunkle Stan was close to the door glaring at the demons possessing Mabel and Wendy.
"Come in here Stan, you know you want to," said the possessed Mabel.
"Yeah Stan, you know you want to come down here with us," said the possessed Wendy.
Grunkle Stan clench his fist hard feeling the urge to attack those possessed individual so he can get those evil demons out of them. Dipper want to walk to him and help him calm down. He knows how much the demons has bother him for so long. He look down to see Soos moving around. The young Pine crotch down to his adult friend.
"No... No..." whispered Soos.
Dipper look back at Grunkle Stan to see he was looking at Soos. He approach him and look at him with wide eyes. Dipper notice his facial expression and look at Soos. Soos' face was becoming pale and his eyes was changing. His pupil was vanishing and his yes was rolling up. Stan quickly drag Soss leg with Dipper seeing he was dragging the man child's body to the baement door.
"Stan what are you doing?!" he shouted as he grabs Soos' arms.
"Let go Dipper, he's done for. He's next to become like them so I need to put him in the basement!"
"We can't do that! Maybe there's other ways to get the demons away from him."
As they argue, Soos begins to shake and he jump upto the ceiling. Grunkle St6an and Dipper fell to the floor to see Soos holding on the ceiling and hissing at them with the same possessed and lifeless eyes.
"It's too late!" said Grunkle Stan as he stood and reach for the basement door.
The possessed Soos quickly fell to the elder man. Dipper got him and try to get Soos off Stan, but the man child instead loom at Dipper like a predator. Dipper stop in his track and begins to back away. The man child was grinning like a threatening villain and he raise his hands towards the small Pine. Suddenly, he roar like a monster as Stan stab him on the back with the dagger.
"Dipper, get the door now!" Stan commanded as he drop Soos to the floor.
Dipper quickly ran to the basement door as Grunkle Stan throw him the keys. The teenager quickly begin to un lock every lock on the chains as Stan start to drag Soos towards it. Dipper then quickly open the basement door with Stan dropping the possessed Soos in there. Dipper then try to close it, but the door open again and hit the teenager at the face. He fell forward while holding his face in pain before he felt pairs of hands grab him.
"No! No! No!" he panicked as he was close to the basement door.
Grunkle Stan try to grab Dipper, but the boy quickly fell in the basement. The elder man was in complete shock to see his nephew enter in the basement, but he had no choice but to quickly start wrapping the chains on the door and begin to lock them together with the door. The elder man finally finish locking the door as he fell to the floor and cry to lost another family member and former worker.
