Chapter 15: The Ritual
Within the basement, the possessed Mabel looked the floor boards, sensing Dipper and Stan planning on something. She doesn't know what it is, but she knows that it can't be good for her fellow possessed allies. She hears their footsteps moving around, and her allies can hear them too. The possessed Wendy grinned, clawing her nails at the floor trying to get out, while Soos was licking his dried lips, waiting to taste blood and flesh once more. They chuckle while hearing their victims above the basement ceiling.
"We will get them my friends. They will join us," spoke the possessed Mabel, with her grin showing sharp teeth.
They continue to hear commotion above them, but then they begin to hear something else. The chains were being move. They look at the square door and they can see the shadow of the chains being remove. Mabel was growling as the door then suddenly open wide, letting the light form the house shine on the basement. The possessed Soos roared and ran forward from the door. The possessed Wendy was going to follow, but possessed Mabel manage to grab the possessed follower.
The possessed Soos leap out of the basement door, but he felt a heavy strike at the right shoulder. He looks at his shoulder to see an ax attach to it with blood leaking out of it. He then saw Grunkle Stan pull the ax out and swing again. Soos shriek in pain as Stan continue to strike at the possessed worker. Soos reach for the ax, but another ax chopped his hand. He turns around to see Dipper with his own ax. The possessed man continues to cry in pain with blood squirting in different directions and limbs bouncing on the floor.
The possessed Mabel and Wendy watched in shock seeing their fellow ally getting cut into pieces. Wendy then leap in the air and tackled Grunkle Stan. Stan was surprised with the redhead now trying to claw his face. Dipper wanted to hit Wendy, but she stares her yellow eyes on him and he stood there frozen.
"You won't hurt me, would you Dipper?" Wendy asked with her normal voice.
Dipper clutches his weapon, but he didn't know if he should use it against his former crush.
"Dipper, hit her. She's trying to get in your head," spoke Grunkle Stan while holding off the possessed redhead.
Dipper then swing the ax to Wendy's neck and it chop upon her skin. Her blood begins to leak before Dipper take the ax off and then swing again.
"No! No! No!" the possessed Mabel in anger. "Damn you all! damn you all to hell!"
Dipper continues to swing the ax at Wendy as her head falls to the ground. Her body continues to battle with Grunkle Stan, but Dipper grab her body and take her off him. He then starts to use his ax to cut her body with Grunkle Stan trying to recover from the attack. More blood smirk on the room with dipper feeling tears in his eyes. He stops and took a breath, seeing the chop up Wendy and Soos. Their cut limbs shaking on the floor on a puddle of blood. Dipper then stare at the basement door, seeing the angry eyes of the possessed Mabel.
"I will kill you!" she shouted as she launches herself forward.
Dipper move aside from her and was ready to defend himself, but Mabel turn around to reveal her normal.
"D-Dipper... Help me."
Dipper watch as he sees tears running down on the cheeks. He wanted to approach her, but her eyes change to yellow, and she scratched his face. He cried out and fell to the floor to hold on his wound before Mabel got on top of him and being to scratch him rapidly. He screams in terror feeling his skin being ripped from her nails. Grunkle Stan ran to Mabel and push her off Dipper. She turns to the elder man and glare at him as she then begins to climb on the walls. She crawls on to the ceiling where she growls at the two before crawling away to upstairs. Dipper and Grunkle Stan breathes heavily feeling their wounds and they look at the other two possessed people that are chopped up. They begin to see the body parts begin to burn like acid.
"W-What is going on?" asked Dipper.
"They are fading to the demon world. They use their body for too long," stated Grunkle Stan.
"So, you mean-"
"They were goners before we took them out of their misery."
Dipper throw the ax away in frustration. Stan watch the poor preteen feeling down, but they still have one person to deal with. The shack begins to rumble as the two watch the walls shifting and the floor twitching.
"We need to get Mabel!" shouted Grunkle Stan. "If she's the first to get possessed, then there's a way to still get her back to normal."
"I hope so, because I can't face killing my own sister," Dipper said. "I have already lost two friends, and I'm not going to lose her."
