AN: This is my first story. Just an idea I had. Didyme is still alive with Marcus. Didyme has a different power.
Sorry it took so long to update. Will try to update a lot sooner next time.
It has been a week since the Volturi took Bella in. With Heidi, using her knowledge and skill as a lawyer Marcus and Didyme was able to win custody of Bella. The fight was with a family in the U.S. known as the Blacks. Billy Black being well known as Charlie's best friend tried to fight for custody but was denied when it came to how he would be able to care and support for Bella when he had 2 children and another on the way. With his wife being sick, and was unsure if she would make it another 8 months to have the baby and if she did make there would be less of a chance of her making it through the delivery.
Unknown Location
"My Lord, I've come with news about the family you wanted me to watch" said a man wearing a mask with a skull face.
"Speak, what news is there Ghost" said a very ancient looking vampire.
"The family was attacked in Italy by the Romanian coven Vladimir and Stefan. Both man and woman wounds could be healed by the healer but they lost too much blood to do any good" said Ghost.
"Damn" snarled the ancient vampire causing Ghost to take a step back, "tell me of the child. Did she at least make it?" the ancient asked in a little calmer tone.
"I was about to step in and It was a matter of luck or fate that Marcus and Didyme was taking their nightly walk and was out longer then normal. They were able to scare the Romanians off without the child. As of yesterday Marcus and Didyme are now the father and mother of the child" said Ghost.
"That's at least some good news if only a little" the ancient said. "Return to watching the child, whatever you do don't let her die, and make sure no one knows what you are doing or up to unless you have to but make sure not to touch Aro whatever you do other wise all our plans will be for not".
"My Lord" said Ghost as he disappears from the room showing how he got his code name.
'hmm, now the waiting game, the Romanians wont try anything till the child can give them what they need but it is funny that they are so childish to hold this grudge for so long' thought the ancient.
"It was very sloppy of the Romanians to let the girl get away" said a female voice.
"Yes but ghost and his partner would've saved the girl anyway" said the ancient.
"Sometimes I wonder if you put to much faith and trust in Ghost and his partner" said the female.
"I put so much faith in Ghost because he has never let me down, saved my life and for that he has my trust but I trust you more then anyone my love" said the ancient.
Italy: time skip Bella is 5 years old now
"Mommy, mommy Felix and Demetri are being mean again" said a crying Bella as she came running through the throne room doors and into Didyme arms.
"What are they doing this time baby?" asked Didyme as Marcus, Aro, Caius, Sulpicia and Athenodora looked on.
"They said I was making to much noise and getting in their way while they play their video games" started Bella as Renata appeared with some tissues and Jane right behind her; both just got done feeding so they could watch Bella when Heidi and Chelsea came back with the tour group. Didyme cleaned up the tears and had Bella blow her nose, and then Bella started where she left off "so they took my mater truck and took it apart so I can't drive it anymore". (Look up at Wal-Mart Disney Mater Boys' 6-Volt Battery-Powered Quad Ride-On but for a 5yr old not 3 and forget the boys part).
"Really now we'll just see about that now wont we, right lady's" said Didyme in an evil voce looking at Athenodora and Sulpicia. Just then, Heidi and Chelsea walked in with the tour group, with Heidi leading and Chelsea behind. "Now Bella run along with Renata and Jane. Go take a nap for a few hours and then you, me and the girls will get some pay back on them mean boys ok".
"Ok, love you mommy and daddy" said Bella also saying good bye to everyone else before leaving while holding Renata and Jane hands.
After everyone was done feeding they went back to their patrols expect for Felix and Demetri who were told to wait. "Felix, Demetri I need you two to do the patrols in town for the rest of the day and night. There is a rumor about some gangs trying to move in and we will not allow that to happen understand".
"Yes my lady" both men said.
"Good, you two may leave" said Didyme and both men left their patrols. "Now that they are gone, time to get to work. Athenodora, Sulpicia lets go get Bella and we can see if Renata, Jane, Heidi and Chelsea will care to join us" as the women started walking out the room.
Aro being the curious one of the group had to ask what Didyme had planned. "Didyme what do you plan to do".
"They took apart Bella's favorite toy, so I'm going to take apart all their car's, truck's and anything else I can get my hands on before they come back" making all three men thinking 'At least its not me'.
When Felix and Demetri returned in the morning, only to find all their stuff that could be taken apart was with a warning stating, "MESS WITH ONE GIRL/WOMAN, MESS WITH THEM ALL". That was the last time Felix and Demetri ever touched Bella's favorite anything.
The next day went as normal as any normal day with Volturi as you can get until the sun started going down. Didyme along with Renata and Jane were taking Bella out to catch fire flies in a small park on the outskirts of town. Aro, Marcus and Caius were busy dealing with a vampire that was getting to much attention from the humans, so they sent Demetri and Alec to bring him in to see why.
All the girls were helping Bella catch fire flies and putting them in a jar for her to bring back with her for Marcus, Aro and Caius. It was starting to get late when a howl was heard from the forest. All the girls except Bella, thinking it was a normal sound, stopped what they were doing, as the howl they heard was different from a normal wolf howl, this was bigger. Didyme knew that they needed to leave right away, as did Renata and Jane, the only problem was they had to run though the forest to get back to the castle and should the beast pick up their scent let alone Bella's it would begin hunting them. Then another howl, this time sound a little bit closer that made Bella stop what she was doing.
Looking at the reactions from Didyme was all Bella needed to know something was not right "mommy what's wrong and what was that howl, it was different then the others I've heard before".
Didyme was a little worried but not to much. She knew with Renata Bella will be protected and Jane can immobilize it if it came to a fight. Right when Didyme was about to speak to get everyone moving back home, a third howl was heard clearly different from the first and second but the same and it was closer to, then a fourth. At this point Didyme did not have time to think she just acted.
"Renata, pick up Bella and keep your power on her till we get back to the castle. Jane and I will take up the rear cause that will be where they will be coming from. Now Bella I need you to stay as quite as you can till we get home, do you understand" Bella just nodded back "good girl" said Didyme.
As Renata picked up Bella and started running, she spoke "I fear we won't make back before they over run us. If Bella wasn't with us then I don't think we would have a problem making it back". "I know but she is still too young to go full vampire speed, the strain will be too much. We just have to get close enough so the rest of the guard will come to investigate" said Didyme.
As throughout the conversation between Didyme and Renata, Jane never took her eyes off the direction where the howling was coming from and finally spoke just as they made it into the forest "something's not right, the beasts never ran in packs when Caius had us hunting them. We only found one or two at a time unless they mange to destroy a whole town and not only that but with so many vampire scents around the town and forest, they would try to avoid us no matter what". Coming to the only conclusion that would make the beasts to act this was "someone has betrayed us" hissed out Jane. Sadly, both Didyme and Renata after thinking about it had to agree; very few of the guard knew where they planned to go tonight.
After a few seconds, Renata all of a sudden stopped causing both Didyme and Jane too as well. Standing in front of them was four werewolves. After a few more seconds, the pack they heard from the park had cut up and surrounded them. There were a total of ten of them. All three knew that they could not defend against all of them even without Bella being there. Bella moved her head to see why they stopped and she saw what was growling. She tried to grab for Didyme but Renata hold on her was too tight.
"Renata know matter what happens to us you will not stop protecting Bella understand" ordered Didyme.
"Yes my lady" replied Renata.
Just then, a black mist slowly moved in behind the wolves without them knowing and engulfed them. "Well look's like we've made it back just in time Alec" said Demetri. "Yes, it seems that the info we got from that vampire was right after all" replied Alec.
"Jane, Demetri take care of these wolves then we can go home, I've got some house cleaning to do" snarled Didyme. In a calmer tone, Didyme looked at Bella "baby I need you to close your eyes for mommy ok". "Ok" replied Bella.
After Jane and Demetri finished with the wolves, they all headed back to the castle. Didyme took Bella to her room and put her to sleep leaving Alec and Renata as guards. As Didyme was taking care of Bella, Demetri was sent to make sure Aro and Sulpicia, Caius and Athenodora, and Marcus was in the throne room.
"What has happened" demanded Marcus as Didyme and Jane walked threw the doors. "We were chased by wolves" replied Didyme as Caius hissed at the wolf comment.
"Alec and Demetri showed up before anything could happen and the wolves have been dealt with but we still have a problem." said Didyme as she let Aro take her hand so he could see what happened.
"Hmm, it seems you might be right about one of the newer guard members" said Aro.
After discussing what to do, they summoned all the guard except for Alec and Renata. Having Chelsea read the bonds of every member to the Volturi, she only found one that was broken and alerted Aro with out him knowing. Aro then got out of his chair along with Caius and Marcus.
"There was an incident tonight with some wolves" started Aro with most if not all the guard hissing "it seems that Didyme and Bella with their guard was chased and might not be here if it wasn't for Alec and Demetri. Its common fact that those beasts would never come this close to the castle unless provoked and to top it all off only a few of the guard knew where Didyme was planning on taking Bella tonight".
After that a lot of the guard was pissed, as a lot of them came to become close with Bella since she was brought here, the rest was still indifferent about it but was still mad that someone would betray them that way.
"With Chelsea gift we know who you are and if you make yourself known your punishment will be quick, if not then you will feel pain till your begging for death. You have ten seconds".
"So, the coward refuses to show himself. Felix, Demetri bring our newest member forward," ordered Aro.
The newest member now stood in the middle of the throne room surrounded by pissed off vampires.
"So tell me why you did it" demanded Aro only to be spit at from the vampire. Aro then looked at Jane then the new vampire fell to the ground screaming in pain. After a few minutes, Jane stopped and Aro asked again "why did you do it. You know we will get what we want one way or another, just make it a little easier on yourself and tell us". The vampire said nothing, "Jane" came from Aro and he was screaming in pain again.
This time letting it go for 10 minuets before stopping, "are you ready to talk yet" asked Aro. "You killed my sister" said the vampire in barely a whisper as he was trying to recover from the pain. "Felix, Demetri hold him" ordered Aro as he walked down from his throne and grabbed the man by the head.
"Oh I see now" started Aro as he let the man go "I guess I should have looked deeper in the assassins mind. So you're her brother and yet you aren't anything like your sister".
"Enough like her to get into your guard and almost take one of you out" the vampire laughed then started screaming from Jane power again, letting it go for 20 minutes before letting up.
"Enough of this Aro, you got everything you need from him. We all know he will be put to death, and as Bella and I were attacked I demand I get to end him then we can talk about what you've learned from him" demanded Didyme.
"Fine sister, end it however you wish" replied Aro as the vampire would be crying if he could begging for it to end. In the next hour, Didyme slowly tore him piece by piece making it as painfully as possible. Didyme wanted everyone to know that to threaten Bella's life would be a slow painful death.
"Let this be a reminder that we may rule and you are our guard, but at the end of the day we are a family as well and betrayal will all ways be punished by death. You all can go back to what you were doing" said Didyme. Few of the guard left but most stayed and Heidi asked "my lords and my ladies I, well we was wondering how Princess Isabella was doing and if she would need anything" as the remaining guard all nodded.
Smile's came across all their faces, even Caius once again smiled at how much the guard thought of Bella. "She is in shock and is scared at the moment. I put her to sleep with the help of Alec before I came to the throne room, I left Alec and Renata with her just to be safe" said Didyme and with that the rest of the guard returned to what they were doing.
"OK, I know for sure he was not acting with the Romanians, it was just him trying for revenge and it appears that the wolves that survived us hunting them have started to learn how to gain some control over the transformation, that's why there was a pack of 10 working together" said Aro.
"And as of right now they are too few and far apart to risk trying to track them down" said Marcus.
"With how much I hate to admit it, but your right Marcus. We will just have to keep our ears open for any more info about it" said Caius.
"Well this has been a trying day and I wish to go see Bella, as I'm sure the rest of you want to too" said Marcus as all six rulers went to check up on Bella.
