How Taking Down Legacy Failed

Mickie's P.O.V

"I don't know Melina" I shuffled uncomfortably.

"C'mon it will be fun! And the girls miss you!" She wanted me to come out tonight with her and the divas. Sure I wasn't enemies with them, but since becoming close to Ted, Cody and Randy, I never really stayed in the divas locker room, I haven't spoken to most of them in ages. "I'm sure Randy can spare you for one night" I just shrugged uneasily. "You must be sick of just hanging around with the guys! Every girl needs your girl time!"

"There is Becky!" I pointed out.

"And there are about six of us going tonight, c'mon Mickie! They all really want you to come!" She pleaded. "It will give Hayden and Randy to spend some time together!"

"I just haven't spoken any of them in a long time"

"Which is the perfect reason why you should come!" She encouraged. "It's a girl's night out"

"Ok, but I don't know if I will stay long" I told her.

"That's fine! Go get ready. I'll stop by yours at seven" She said and with a smile on her face and then she walked away. I instantly regretted my decision to go. I just wanted to stay with Randy and Hayden. I walked back to my room; Randy was on the bed with Hayden.

"Hey babe" Randy said, reaching his hand out to me.

I crawled onto the bed and into his arms. "Melina asked me to go out with the divas tonight" I told him.

"Are you going to go?"

"I told her I would, but I don't want to" I laid on his chest.

"I don't want you to either" Randy teased. "but I know my reasons, why don't you want to go?" I just shrugged. "That's not a reason babe"

"I just don't want to leave you, or Hayden"

"We will be fine babe, we will just watch Dexter, won't we champ?" Randy cooed at Hayden.

"Na-uh, he is not watching Dexter! It's an eighteen!" I wagged my finger at Randy who just laid back grinning at me. "That's it, I'm not going! You can't be trusted!"

"Babe, I won't!" He told me. "You're just looking for excuses"

"So?" I mumbled, crossing my arms. He pulled me back down next to him. He had Hayden laying on his chest, I stroked down his cheek. "He is so beautiful"

"So are you" Randy replied looking at me, he moved his head and gave a soft kiss. "You should go tonight"

"You're trying to get rid of me?"

"Of course not, if I had it my way, you'd be under the covers with me" He grinned. "but maybe it will be good for you hanging out with some of the divas"

"Maybe"

"You may even have fun"

"I thought you didn't like the divas" I said to him suspiciously.

"I don't" He replied. "But that doesn't mean you don't have to dislike them"

"You just want me to go so I will stay out of trouble"

"This is true" I pushed him. "I'm kidding babe, I just want you to have fun" I slumped back. "If you don't like it, give me a call and I'll come and whisk you away" He whispered into my ear. "Of course, you'd have to do me a favour in return, but I'm sure we can think of the details later" I thumped him away.

"Horny bastard" I hopped up of the bed. I opened the draw and tried to decide what to wear. "Where is Ted when you need him" I muttered to myself.

"Ted?"

"He is strangely good at picking out what I should wear" I looked over my shoulder and told him.

"Somehow I'm not surprised" I got changed, did my make up, got perved on a few times by Randy and then did my hair. "Hmmm, tell me why I agreed on letting you go tonight?" Randy asked me, entwining his hands with mine.

"Because you secretly hate me and your waiting for me to go so you can have your mistress over" I replied.

Randy stroked is chin, "Oh yeah" I thumped him, "I'm kidding babe"

Melina's knock at the door came right on time. "I don't want to go" I moaned.

I opened the door, "You look great" She told me.

"Doesn't she?" I turned to see Randy holding Hayden.

"You two have fun" I said, giving them both a kiss.

"Say goodbye to mommy" Randy said to Hayden. "Try to have fun babe" He whispered the last bit. I looked over at Melina just to make sure hadn't heard.

"I'll try" I whispered back. I gave him one last kiss before leaving with Melina.

We got to the restaurant and all the divas were already there. There were the twins, Eve, Nattie, Kelly Kelly and then there was me and Melina.

"Hey Melina, Mickie" They all greeted. I just smiled and sat down.

"So have you seen Justin Gabriel lately? He is SO hot!" Eve squealed. Ah Justin.

"I've heard rumours, feel free to clear this up Kelly, but are you dating him?" Brie turned to her. She had on a guilty smile. "You are!"

"It's nothing serious….yet" She smiled. I took a sip of my drink. "He is so sweet" I choked. What the hell happened to Mandy? Bitch stole my man!

"Wait, you and Justin?" I asked her. She nodded. "Wasn't he seeing someone…G….G…."

"Grace I think" Kelly replied. "They broke up" Oh….I liked her! "Your quite close with Justin aren't you?" She asked me, my eyes widened. "I mean…I've seen you talking quite a few times"

"Oh yeah! Me and Justin go way back"

"Really?" She asked, I nodded.

"Best friends"

"Tell me something about him"

"He is one heck of a singer" I lied. "He'll deny it, I warn you, but make him sing, he is like an angel" I could have some fun with this. "And he had dance lessons until he was sixteen so get him to show you some of that too, my god he is like the next Billy Elliot no joke, he is so light on his feet!"

"I will" She said. "I didn't even think you two were that close"

"We have like one of those friendships where all you do is abuse each other, but at the end of the day, we are there for each other!" I would love to be there when she asks him to sing for her! "He will kill me if you told him about the whole singing and dancing secret so don't tell him it was me!"

"I won't, what else?"

"Now this will really embarrass him, ask him to show you…." I sniggered, "Mr Snoogie"

"Mr Snoogie?"

"It's the stuff toy he has had since he was ten" I lied.

"Oh" She laughed, "That's really cute"

"I probably shouldn't have told you that!"

"How's Hayden?" Eve asked.

"Yeah he is good, Randy is looking after him at the moment"

"He is a real sweetie around you" Eve said.

"What do you mean?" I asked her, taking a sip of my drink.

"He doesn't take one look at any of us divas" Nattie said. I smiled slightly. "And the way he looks at you, oh I want a guy to look at me that way"

"And how protective!" Brie Belle sighed. "You know how the superstars like to talk about us like we're meat? Alex Riley was talking about you and let's just say Randy took care of it"

"How did you make him like that?" Kelly asked me. I just gave a small shrug. "Your going to have to get tips off Mickie and mould Ted"

"What's wrong with Ted?" I said chuckling slightly.

"Have you not seen him?" Well he is my best friend. "He is more concerned with his appearance then he is Melina"

"That's not true" I told her. "Ted is just as good as a boyfriend as Randy is"

"I kind of get what Kelly is saying" Eve said. "I mean, how he treats people, how he treats Ron"

I looked over at Melina. You can jump in to defend him any day now…..any minute….I shook my head. "They don't get along, that doesn't make him a bad person" I told her.

"He slept with me and then ended it by text" Brie pointed out.

"He slept with my sister and then slept with me!" Nikki followed her sisters lead.

"He's killing me…" I mumbled. "Once again, doesn't make him a bad person, just makes him horny" My defence was weak, but Ted is a good person, just none of them gets to see it. "He adores Melina" I looked over at her, she avoided my eye contact.

"And that's why he cheated on her?" Kelly asked.

I turned to Melina. "You told them?" She didn't reply. "That was a long time"

"Once a cheat, always a cheat" Eve said.

"He was drunk"

"If Randy was drunk and cheated on you, would you forgive him?" Brie asked me. I leant back, I thought about with Mandy, I suppose it was only a kiss, but I don't think I could leave Randy.

"Yes" I told her. "I knew how bad Ted felt that day" I sighed deeply, I just wish they saw the Ted that I saw. "Ted is sweet, I was going through a hard time and he was there for me" They all stared at me as if I were crazy. "He held me all night whilst I cried, with no motive other then to be a good friend and he is great with Hayden" All continued to look at me in disbelief. I just rolled my eyes and got up from my seat.

"Where are you going?" Melina asked me, now she decides to speak.

"I'm going to go see my" I looked at the girls. "best friend" I picked up my jacket and walked out of the restaurant. I knew today wasn't a good idea, now I know why I don't hang out with them. I went back up to my room. I can't believe how Melina just let them talk about Ted like that, I stormed into our room, hearing the door slam, Randy came out of the bedroom with Hayden in his arms.

"Look there's mommy" He cooed. "He wouldn't settle down, I think he wanted his mom" Randy said handing him over to me. I nodded and kissed Hayden's head. "Judging by the door slamming, I take it things didn't go well"

"Couldn't have gone worse" I muttered, leaning against the wall.

"What happened?"

"It was going fine until they started talking about Ted"

"What did they say?"

"They started going on about how self centred he was and how he wasn't a good boyfriend for Melina" I told him, he looked surprised. He opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off. "The worse part was that Melina just sat there the whole time and didn't say anything, she didn't even try to defend him"

"Did you?" Randy asked.

"Of course I did" I replied. "He is my best friend"

"Are you going to tell him?"

"No" I told him. "I don't want to hurt him" I sighed. "Why did I even bother to go, I blame you!"

"Well now you know that you tried, you don't have to back there, you can just stay with me and Hayden" Randy kissing my free hand. I nodded and tried to force a smile. Randy put his hand to my cheek. "I'm sorry you had to hear all that"

"Yeah, me too" I shook my head. "He was there for me through the whole thing with you, I owe him so much, he always stayed positive even when I wanted to quit, he wanted what's best for me and I just hate them judging him when he deserves to be treated so much better then that"

"Go and see him"

"What?"

"Go and see Ted" Randy told me. "I can keep an eye on Hayden for a little while longer, just go"

"You sure?"

"Yes, just don't be too long, ok babe? I don't like sharing"

"I won't" I smiled at him. "Thank you" I leaned up and kissed his cheek. The divas were right about something, he definitely was a sweetie.

I walked a few doors down to get to Ted's room. I wanted nothing more to give him a hug, I feel so bad for him, if that's what they talk about every week then they are pathetic. I just hope that Melina doesn't follow what they say because if she ends it with Ted, he'll be crushed.

He answered it. "I am better then most people at life" He stated as you do, he then looked down at me, "Hey baby, aren't you suppose to be with the-"

I put my arms around his wait and hugged him. "Don't ever change Theodore"

"Are you kidding me? Why the hell would I change? Just look at me" He winked as I looked up.

"I love you just the way you are"

"I love me just the way I am too. Oh I know, I know, I know, I'd never ask me to change, if perfect is what I'm searching for then I'll just stay the same!"

"Oh Theodore"

I gave him a kiss on the cheek and left him to get back to my husband and son. I walked in and leaned back against the door, it was then I saw Hayden, sitting on the floor, leaning against the couch with a large card and roses in his hands. "What's this?" I laughed and went over to him. I bent down and took the card from his hands, 'HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY' Was written on it, I turned around to see Randy leaning against the door smirking at me.

"Thank you Hayden" I laughed and kissed his head. "And thank you my wonderful husband"

"I am pretty wonderful" He stroked his chin. "Me and Hayden went to get them when you were out, right champ?" I looked down at him and he blinked in response.

I put my arms around Randy and tip toed up, "Thank you" I whispered in his ear.

"I love you"

"I love you too"
