How Taking Down Legacy Failed
Mickie's P.O.V
It was mine and Randy's first Raw as husband and wife, it felt great. The past week had been great, just me, my husband and my son. We stayed in a separate hotel to all the other superstars so we wouldn't get disturbed. We didn't get to go abroad because of work for a honey moon, but we got the next best thing. It was amazing; I didn't want it to end. Randy wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked into the locker room to be greeted by cheers.
"How has your first week together been?" Cody asked us.
Randy wrapped his arms around me. "Let me think….spending the whole week with my wife and my son, no interruptions with my wife, lots and lots of sex" Becky groaned in disgust, Randy smirked. "I would say its been an amazing first week"
"Baby don't ever leave me again!" Ted pulled me into a hug. "I just realise, despite your height, things just aren't the same without you!" He cried into my shoulder. "Becky and Cody were both so mean to me! They called be a Bieber bitch, I don't even like him! I just want Miley Oh that were so cruel!" He turned to both of them, "Someday I'll be living in a big old city! And all you're ever gonna be is mean" He crossed his arms and turned away from them, "wise words by Taylor Swift"
"It's ok Ted, I'm here now, I'll protect you" I patted his back comfortingly.
"Watch where you head is Ted" Randy growled.
Ted lifted his head up. "Now that she is your wife….are you going to be double as protective?" Randy nodded. "Well I'm screwed" He let go of me and walked back over to the couch. I turned to Randy who was holding Hayden.
"Do you think we can do a repeat of last week, tonight?" Randy asked licking his lips. I shook my head. "Why not?"
"I'm still sore" I told him.
"Sore? Did I hurt you?"
"Don't worry" I bit my lip as I moved my hands down his chest. "It was worth it"
"Mickie Laree Orton" Randy stepped closer and held me close by my hips. "I'm going on the George Lopez show in a few weeks; I think he wants to talk about my new beautiful wife"
"Where is she? OHHHH" Ted insulted. Randy glared at him. "No? Not funny? Ok, I'll be quiet"
"I wonder what the world's reaction was to us getting married" I said to him, leaning my head into his chest.
"Well, I've already seen a lot of 'Mandy and Rickie' signs in the crowd" Randy replied.
I leaned out. "Really?" I laughed.
"Really" He smiled. "And I'm getting a lot of congratulation tweets"
"You are really sarcastic on twitter" I poked his chest. He just laughed. "What?"
"You're pretty"
"If you two are done making me sick! Raw is on" Ted said. I poked my tongue out at him and came to sit next to him, putting Hayden on my lap.
We watched as Miz and the rest of Team Raw came out to the ring. "What a crap team" I said. "Apart from Sheamus!" I corrected myself.
"I should have been put on Team Raw" Ted mumbled, crossing his arms and slumping back.
"SAME!" I said, agreeing with him.
"Oh babe" Randy shook his head.
"Are you still doubting my abilities?"
"After this past week, I'm never going to doubt your abilities" Randy licked his lips.
Ted leaned over me and covered Hayden's ears; he then looked at me and Randy. "Carry on"
"We're done" I said sternly, to both Randy and Ted.
I was excited when Ted let me come down with him, although Randy didn't share this excitement.
Ted and me stood at the top of the ramp, just like Goldust did to him last week. He was against Zack Riley and was accompanied by that stupid NXT rookie, Aksana. Once the match had finished, Ted ran down to attack Goldust. I was laughing in amusement, when I realised Aksana had the million dollar title! "Yo bitch! That's mine!" I said, going up to her. She started yelling at me, in her thick accent, but I couldn't understand a word she was saying, she was speaking so fast. "I don't understand what your saying! No comprende bullshit! Haha, but in all seriousness, I don't know what your saying" She continued to yell at me and I continued not having a clue what she was saying. "I really can't understand you! Give me the damn title woman!" She held the title closer to her and yelled at me. "Look, just hand the title and go back to where you belong….the kitchen, OH I AM so funny!"
"NO! No! I beat you with shovel" I looked around, did she just say she would beat me with a shovel? Did I finally hear correctly?
"That's it" I took off my shoes, she took the hint and started running. I ran after her. "GIVE ME THE DAMN TITLE WOMAN!" She ran backstage and I was hot on her trail.
I was so close to her when I tripped over something and fell flat on my face, as I looked up, I saw she had gotten away. I groaned and rolled over. I looked up to see John smirking at me. "Ohh you bastard" I moaned.
"Did you enjoy your trip Mrs Orton?" He sneered and walked away.
"I'm going to remember that Cena, I'm going to get ya" I groaned, before slumping back on the floor. That really hurt!
Ted leaned over me. "Baby….where is my title"
"Err…." I starred up at him from the floor. "I can explain…."
Ted sighed heavily. "It's so hard to find obedient minions these days" He walked off.
"Ted! Ted!" I yelled after him. "At least help me up! TED! Ohh" I moaned and fell back. "I'LL TELL RANDY!"
Ted ran back to me. "No! Please don't! He'll kill me" I held out my hand for him to help me up.
"That's what I thought" I grinned as he pulled me up.
"You didn't get the title…." He flicked my head. "BAD MICKIE! BAD!"
"Ow…." I moaned, rubbing my head. We were walking back to the locker room when Ted stopped. "What Ted?"
"H-him…." Ted said pointing to a little boy, looked to be about thirteen? Fourteen maybe? I think he is in Big Show's new movie. "Oh my god! It's Stanley from that's so Raven!" I gave Ted an odd look. "Not that I watch that or anything…."
"Of course" I replied. I looked to the other side to see Nexus with John; I saw my opportunity to get revenge on John. "Ted, I will meet you back at the locker room, I have some business to attend" Ted nodded and walked towards 'Stanley' from That's so Raven, probably to get an autograph.
I walked up and stood by Wade's side. He looked at me and then back at John. "Go and get me a glass of water" Wade told him. John looked at Wade as if he was joking but Wade was deadly serious.
"Excuse me?" John asked him.
"Didn't you hear Cena? He said go and get him some water" I said angrily. "I got your back Wade!"
"I said go and get me some water" Wade repeated.
He walked off and I stared in amazement.
"That's so cool! Get him to get one for me too Wade!" I said as I nudged him.
Wade chuckled and looked at Justin. "She's not so bad…. I don't know what you always complain about her" Justin just glared at me.
"You complain about me?"
"I don't understand how you don't know that already…"
"Well I thought you were in love with me…..oh that's awkward, how could I of been so wrong?"
John came back and handed the water to Wade. "Now that wasn't so difficult, was it John?" Wade taunted him. He took a sip of the water. "And I want you to know, I'm really enjoying this" He smirked and then threw the water over John. I clutched my stomach as I was laughing so hard, it was nice to see John getting tortured by someone, getting a taste of his own medicine.
I could see how pissed off John was. "Good one Wade!" I said, nudging him again and laughing along with the rest of Nexus.
"Delicious, just delicious"
"Ohhh that was good" Heath laughed.
"Did you see his face?" Justin said as he nudged Wade. We watched as John walked away, all in fits of laughter. I was bonding with Nexus!
"Oh that was classic" I said as I wiped a tear from my eye.
"Why do you hate Cena as much as we do?" Wade asked me suspiciously. "Seeing as he is teaming up with your….husband tonight"
"Well because….wait what? John and Randy?" He nodded. "Against who?"
"Husky and Michael" David replied for him.
"Those two are annoying, I don't know why your going to let them ruin the reputation which is Nexus!"
"We will see if your still a fan of ours after tonight" Wade smirked as he and the rest of Nexus began to walk away.
I stared after them. "What do you mean by that? You can kick John's ass as much as you want! It does not bother me!" I yelled. This time, I really did walk back to our locker room, I was greeted by Randy. "So I heard the news about you and John"
"Believe me babe, I don't like it just as much as you don't" He sighed. "It's not like we have much competition though" He shrugged. He leant down and kissed me. "I'll see you when I get back" I nodded. He sent me a small smile and left, I turned the TV on and watched the match. I was nervous watching it all begin, Nexus came down and stood on the top of the ramp to watch, we made me even more nervous. John started off the match going against Husky. John puts up a good fight but when Randy finally got tagged in, he was on fire, he pointed at Barrett and then went into viper mode. He got the RKO on Michael and picked up the in.
Randy and John stood in the ring when John put his hand out to shake Randy's hand. No way is Randy going to shake his hand, no way. Before Randy even got a chance to respond, Wade was coming down to the ring and telling John not to shake Randy's hand. The rest of the Nexus follow which made my heart sink.
Wade told John to get out of the ring. It then came to me, about what Wade said earlier. 'We will see if your still a fan of ours after tonight' Nexus surrounded Randy in the ring, I passed Hayden to Ted and slowly rose.
"Mickie, what are you doing?"
"Just stay here and look after Hayden" I told him sternly.
"Mickie no, they'll kill you"
"He is my husband Ted, I need to go down there, just please" I said before running out of the room. I got to the curtain to see Nexus get into the ring.
"You have the best seats in the house to witness the demise of the viper" I gripped onto the curtains with fear. Randy tried his best to fight them, but they just out numbered him. I didn't think, I just ran, I ran down there. The crowd cheered loudly when they saw me.
Justin stepped out of the ring and grabbed me by the wrist. "Just go" He hissed. "Now" He barked.
"I'm not leaving him" I hissed back, kneeing Justin in the groin. I slid in the ring, not having a clue what my plan of action was. Wade noticed me as Justin slid back in the ring. He nudged all the men, they stopped hurting Randy and stared at me. "Don't hurt him" I found myself speaking, but I had no control on what I was saying.
"Mickie" Randy choked. "Get out of here" He managed to say. He tried to fight them away, with what ever strength he had, trying to get them away from me, but there were just too many of them. I jumped and climbed on the back of Justin, trying to stop him, but Justin pushed me off, into Wade who threw me to the ground. I held my head and pulled my body up. Wade stepped towards me. I got up and tried to fight him, it was stupid but I had to do something. I tried to do a scissor kick on him, but he of coursed, countered and knocked me down. I looked desperately at Randy, but he was out cold. I crawled away from them, but never took my eyes off Wade. He just laughed and called John in the ring.
"Hold her" he told him, shoving me into John's slimy hands. He picked up Randy and performed his finisher on him, I squeezed my eyes closed, not daring to look at Randy's limp body.
"David" I growled.
"You shouldn't have come down here Mickie" David whispered to me. "He won't hurt you just relax"
How could I relax? Wade turned to me, I looked at him with the coldest stare I could muster up. He just laughed and this, he put a finger up my chin and forced me to look at him. He said something to Heath and then looked back at me. I watched Heath pick up Randy's limp body and hold him by my side, forcing him to watch what Wade was doing. He was barely conscious, his eyes kept closing, but at the same time, he kept reaching out his arms to me. I closed my eyes feeling Wade's lips on mine, I didn't kiss back, I didn't do anything, just waited for him to finish. When he pulled away, he was smirking, I shuddered. He pulled me over and shoved me down to the ground next to Randy, he got John to hold his hand up in victory and left.
I watched as people came down to help Randy, some help came for me, but I didn't need it, Randy needed it more. I followed on behind Randy and walked to the trainers. I sat on the bed next to Randy where I was checked over. They found nothing wrong, which is what I was telling them. I stepped outside for some air where I found Ted and Hayden.
I took Hayden from Ted. "Baby, you have balls" Ted breathed out. "I'm surprised your still standing" I sent him a small smile. "How is Randy?"
"No serious injuries, just bruising, he will be sore for the next week"
"Mrs Orton?" I turned around to see the main trainer there. "Randy is awake and wants to see you"
"Oh o, I'm in trouble"
I nodded and left Ted outside. Randy looked pissed, but what else did I expect. I went to his side and starred at him, he looked at me. "Why did you come out Mickie?"
"Because I had too"
"No you didn't, I can't protect you in situations like that as much as I try, I can't"
"What was I suppose to do? I couldn't sit back and watch you get torn apart, if I didn't come down, it could have been a lot worse" I told him. "You would of done the same thing"
Randy shook his head and laid back. "I heard what they did to you" His mouth turned into a sneer. "The thought of him touching you, kissing you makes me want to kill him"
"Well you can get your revenge at Bragging Rights" I told him.
"Bragging Rights?" He scoffed. "I'm not waiting till then Mickie, I'm going to see him now" Randy tried to get up but winced.
"Your not going anywhere Randy, your hurt"
"I can't let them get away with what they did to you"
"You don't have to, just not tonight" I pushed him back on the bed. "If you go near them now, what just happened in the ring will happen again"
Randy reluctantly nodded and laid back down. "I should kick Ted's ass for letting you come down there"
"If you kick his ass, I'll kick your ass. He didn't have a choice, I gave him Hayden, he couldn't of left him on his own. It was my fault Randy, I made the decision to come down there"
I knew he was pissed, but more at himself then anything. I knew that there was more to come from Nexus, and that's what worried me.
