How Taking Down Legacy Failed

Mickie's P.O.V

I went up to hug Randy when he walked back in the locker room. "Whatever happens, you'll still be my champ" I whispered to him.

"Thanks babe" He said softly. I pulled away and let him get dressed for his interview with George Lopez.

"You riding back with us?" I asked Ted, picking up Hayden.

"Nah, I've brought my car" Ted replied, stretching out. "I'll come keep you company later though baby"

"Very kind of you Theodore"

"Oh I know" He smirked.

"Why aren't you hanging out with Melina tonight?" I asked him.

"She is having a ladies night; I'm surprised you're not going"

"Yeah…I haven't been invited to one after what happened last time" I chuckled awkwardly.

"What happened last time?" Ted asked me, oh crap; I forgot I didn't tell him what happened. The real reason was because they started bad mouthing Ted, but I refuse to tell him that.

"They started bad mouthing Randy" I lied.

"It' just because he rejected all of them, don't feel bad baby" Ted said, smiling at me reassuringly, if only he knew.

"Your right" I told him.

"Aren't I always?"

"Babe, you ready?" Randy came out in a suit and tie.

"Don't you look handsome?" I teased, tugging on his tie. He wiggled his brows and leaned in to kiss me. He took me by my hand and led me to his pride and joy….his Bentley, he opened the door and I put Hayden in first and then went round to the front for myself. Randy smiled at me as I settled in.

"So I'm dropping you off at the hotel?" He asked me, I nodded. "You sure you don't want to come with?"

"I'm sure" I told him. He drove me back to the hotel, we sat in the car for a little bit when we got there. "I'm going to miss you" He put his arm around my waist and pulled me on his lap, in the driving seat. "Just think of me, in the huge, empty, cold bed"

"Don't do this to me" He shifted uncomfortably. "I'll try and get back as fast as I can"

"You don't have to, Ted can just lie with me" Randy growled. "Or not" I smiled, kissing him.

"I hate saying goodbye to you" He entwined his fingers with mine. "Even if it is just for a few hours"

"I'm just so comforting to have around" I teased. He patted my thigh.

"It is actually, when you're with me, I know you're not out nearly getting yourself killed"

"I think you've got the wrong person there mister" I kissed his chin.

"You missed" He moved down and captured my lips. "I love you" He mumbled against my lips.

I rested my head against his chest. "Would you still love me if me and Ted swapped bodies?" I didn't get a reply. "Randall!"

"I am not answering that"

"Ouch"

"It's never going to happen so I don't need to give you an answer"

"It might…"

"It won't."

"But it could…."

"But it won't."

"It would reassure me" I lied.

"You don't need reassuring, you know I love you"

"Then you would love me even if I looked like Ted!"

"Your not going to look like Ted!"

"I might…."

"We aren't doing that again babe" Randy leaned in to kiss me again, but we were pulled apart by a knock at the door window. It was Ted; he pressed his face up against the glass and started making faces. "Oi! Face off the glass"

"Well that's attractive" I said as Ted's nose was pressed up making him look like a pig.

"Come on love birds" Ted said. "Time to part"

"I don't want to" Randy pulled me close to him, Ted opened the car door. He glared at Ted and then sighed. "Your going to watch me tonight, right?"

"Of course" I slid off his lap and went to the backseat to get Hayden. He gave me and Hayden a final kiss and then we waved him off. I put Hayden in his buggy.

"Just you and me tonight baby" Ted swung his arm around me.

"Where's Cody?"

"Out with Becky" He said as we made our way into the hotel room. "So listen toots" Toots? "I've made a list of things we could do tonight" He cleared his throat. "Number one, we could prank call Cody non-stop pretending to be the owner of his gay fan base, number two, put a hole in all of Randy's socks, for the lols because I think that would be funny or number three, we could watch Thumbelina"

"I'm thinking number three; I'm in the mood to watch Disney"

"We could like re-enact it, I could be Cornelius and you can be Thumbelina…consider you're her height and all…." Ted smirked.

"Funny" I said to him.

"You should of auditioned for the part of her"

"It's a cartoon"

"Well they should make a non-animated version! You and me would be great for the part!" Ted told me. "Oh look, there is Justin, we will convince him of our acting and singing skills, ok baby, we treat this as an audition"

"We should sing, let me be your wings!" I replied, rubbing my hands together. "Justin is the judge and if he doesn't like it, then well Ted, we're out of business"

"This is a great opportunity" Ted breathed in. "Don't mess it up baby" He said sternly.

"Why am I the one that is supposedly going to mess it up?" I mumbled angrily.

"Because it can't be me, I'm flawless" He flashed me a smile before clearing his throat. "We're going in"

"You will be my wings" I sung coming up from behind Justin, Ted was hiding and would come on queue, Justin turned around with a strange look on his face, he then rolled his eyes when he saw it was me. "You will be my only love!"

"What do you want now?"

"Wondrous things are sure to happen!"

"We'll see…." I started off, but Ted then came out of his hiding spot.

"We'll see the universe and dance on Saturn's rings" Ted sang in a very deep voice. Justin shook his head and tutted. "Heaven isn't too far"

Justin went to walk away, but I grabbed his arm. "Heaven is where you are" Ted went on the other side of Justin and we linked hands, trapping Justin inside the middle, we circled round him. "Stay with me, And let me be your wings!" We sang together before hugging Justin.

"That was nice" Ted smiled.

"Would you get off me?" Justin demanded. "And get your hand off my ass!"

"Mickie!" Ted gasped.

"What?" I said innocently. "My hand slipped!" Ted looked at me doubtfully. "I'm serious!"

"You little pervert" Ted pushed me.

"It was seriously an accident!" I held my hands up. "Wait, where's Justin?" Whilst Ted was making accusations, Justin had made his sneaky escape.

"You scared him off with all your inappropriate ass grabbing" He poked his finger into my shoulder. "This happens every time Mickie, every time!" He said angrily before walking ahead of me to our room, muttering mean things like 'Useless broad' and 'Thumbelina reject' all of his words hurt!

An hour later

"Baby! He's on! He's on!" Ted called me. I slumped down next to him. "Hayden asleep?" He asked me, I nodded.

"Please welcome the Viper himself, Randy Orton" George Lopez announced, the crowd started to cheer loudly. Randy came out in his suit, slapping the hands of the crowd members, a big smile on his face. A guy in the crowd held out his own championship belt that he brought; Randy stopped at him and said to the camera 'I have one of those'. He gave George Lopez a man hug and sat down. "You clean up" George said to him.

"I clean up" Randy repeated and laughed. George told him that every time he mentions his name, the people go crazy. "Is that right?" Randy asked which caused the crowd to start screaming again. "Wow! You see, I'm not used to that, I was the bad guy, I was a villain for about six years, so I was usually getting booed and stuff thrown at me, so I'm not used to this" Randy told him. The interview changed to talk about Randy's upbringing which went on for about three minutes.

"There was one thing our viewers wanted you to talk about; I've been tweeted about in a million times"

"Tweeted, is that right?" Randy chuckled.

"Yes tweeted" George laughed. "Can you guess what it is or should I say who?"

"I think I have a pretty good idea" Randy laughed. "My beautiful wife"

"Aww" Ted pulled me into a head lock. "Are you blushing baby?"

"Ted!" I tried to push him away. "Get off me!"

"You are just so precious!" He gave me a noogie.

"I want to listen" I whinged. He reluctantly let go of me.

"Half of the tweets are disappointed that you got married" George told Randy.

"As long as they know I'm married and that I love my wife" He replied sternly. He smiled, "so much, so much"

"Let's take a look at your wife, WWE diva Mickie James" The crowd cheered for me, I smirked at Ted. A picture of me came up on the screen.

"Your peng, you are" Ted turned to me.

"Er thanks?"

"I am SO charming" Ted said to himself.

"Beautiful, isn't she?" Randy commented, smiling.

"Now that's charming" I said to Ted pointing at the TV.

"If I say yes you'll RKO me, if I say no, you'll RKO me, it's a lose lose situation!" The crowd laughed. "The other half of the tweets are obsessed with you two as a couple, Rickie and Mandy" Randy smiled. "She turns you into a softy, doesn't she?"

"You have no idea" Randy shook his head. "She has me wrapped around her little finger most days"

"How did it happen with you two? I remember a statement being released years ago where you said that you would never be with one of the divas, what happened there?"

"Simple, Mickie did" Randy replied, which made me smile. "She was just so surprisingly different to the other divas"

"How so?"

"Well, what other diva believes she can take on all the members of Nexus, at the same time" Randy replied which caused George Lopez to laugh and the audience too.

"Really?"

"Why is that so hard to believe?" I asked Ted. "I can do it!"

"Yep, along with Big Show, The Undertaker, Sheamus….although she is a big fan of Sheamus"

"Is she backstage? We ought to bring her on, two sides to every story" George laughed, looking towards a crew member as if to bring me on stage, but jokes on him, I'm not there.

"No, she's back at the hotel looking after our son" Randy told him.

"Oh, you have son?"

"Yes, he's name is Hayden Keith and he is five months old"

"Who does he look like, you or Mickie?"

"He looks like me, but sometimes he will pull a face like Mickie does"

"Oh baby" Ted said putting his arm around me. "He really does love you"

"I know" I smiled, cuddling up to Ted. "I destroyed the legend killer!"

"But you changed him into the viper! Which is even scarier"

"So how did it happen with you?" George asked him.

"Well, it wasn't easy" Randy replied.

"How come?"

"She hated me" Randy said which made the audience laugh, "I'm not joking, she hated my guts"

"How did you turn her around?"

"The old Orton charm" He flashed a grin, "I knew what I wanted and it was her"

The interview came to an end and so did my night with Ted, he got a call from Melina and went to meet her, good thing to as I wanted to go bed! I left Hayden crib out in the lounge as I didn't want to wake him up by moving him, but I kept the baby monitor with him. I sat in bed and it just felt so empty and sad without Randy.

Randy's P.O.V

I walked into our room to find the lounge empty, apart from Hayden who was in his crib just outside mine and Mickie's room, it was too small for his crib to be in there. I leaned over and gave him a good night kiss before heading to our bedroom, Mickie was lying on top of the covers, she looked up at me as I walked in. "I'm surprised your still up" I said to her as I removed my tie.

"I was waiting for you" She replied, pulling up onto her leg. "You know…." She said as I started to unbutton my shirt. "If wrestling doesn't work out for you, you seem to have the stripping thing down" She teased, crawling up to me and helping me take off my shirt. I winked at her as my hands went to my buckle, She starred at the ground and then back at me when she saw my obvious erection, she knew what I wanted. My hand found its way to be tangled in her hair. She reached down to fully undo my belt, I got the button unhooked and slid down the zipper as she pulled down my jeans. She slid down and took my dick right in to her mouth.
