~Sleeping: The Guardians~

Despite the usual work that each guardian has, all of them had their own sleeping habits whenever their schedule had some free time.

During the late nights, whenever it wasn't the Christmas season, some of the harder-working yetis would continue creating toys for the children while the elves would force the overworking North into his room to sleep. It was a bit silly, but was greatly appreciated. The same went with Tooth. When she felt a hint of fatigue, Baby Tooth and her sisters would do the extra work while their 'older sister' rested for the night.

As for Bunnymund, he usually slept whenever Easter was finished for the year. And Sandy...He always dozed off through mid-conversations, or long before his job actually starts for the long night.

And even before Jack officially became a guardian, he had a difficult time trying to find a good way to sleep. But, it is a work in progress. One time, he had slept on branches from the tallest of trees, and at times, slept on top of roofs from the houses in Burgess. In the present, Jack was trying very hard to get himself comfortable to sleep in one of North's spare beds in his spare rooms-given to the winter spirit as a gift. So far, it doesn't seem to be working...

During one blasted heat wave, Childhood, that calls 'herself' 'Wander', decided to stay over at the North Pole for one night. But no matter how cool it was over in her room, the heat from the blankets seem to make it worse, and ended up tiptoeing over towards the bed where the younger spirit is sleeping, and snuggled closer to him for the much needed cooling. However, the added pressure from his grip on her-along with his staff, was a little unexpected...At least, he did sleep much better.

And then, an idea was hatched.

Soon after the incident, Wander quickly chatted with everyone else, and all agreed on a plan while North was away, talking with Jack about plans for next Christmas.

When it became nighttime once more, Jack was surprised when he saw almost all the guardians together in front of his doorstep (along with North's elves and Tooth's fairies). He felt a little lost...

"We heard you weren't sleeping well, Jack," Tooth started. "So we all pitched in and decided to make you as comfortable as you can be!"

"Look Tooth, it's not all that necessary-"

Bunny interrupted. "Listen here mate, just accept it. A little birdie told us they were worried about you. And as much as our own time schedules clash, we all made an exception to stay with you for the night. So, ya better let us in before we change our minds."

"Little birdie?" Jack wondered aloud. As Tooth, Bunny, and the others enter the room, Jack stopped Sandy just before he could enter. "You wouldn't happen to know who did this, do you?"

The Sandman shook his head, but had a knowing smile on his face. Jack had a feeling he knew. "Alright, thanks Sandy."

Once he let Sandy go, Jack noticed someone near the corner in the hall. The person quickly hid from sight when their eyes had locked. But the bells and the obvious red hat, made it clear who it was, and walked over to them. "Wander."

Wander took a risk, and peeked at the younger spirit. "Y-yes?"

He placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "You're the little birdie." It wasn't a question, but a stone cold fact.

A tint of red blossomed on her cheeks, while she reached for the edge of her hat to cover her embarrassment. "S-sorry...I just wanted to cheer you up..."

Before she could pull it down, her hat was removed, and her hair was quickly ruffled by the taller spirit. "H-hey!"

"You worry too much, kiddo. Now come on, there won't be any room for you if you don't get in soon."

"You mean...You're not mad?"

"Don't get me wrong. I am a little annoyed, but it doesn't mean that I don't appreciate what you've done. Just, let me know when you feel troubled, okay?"

"Okay..."

"Good." Jack then stood up from his crouching stance, now holding his staff firmly planted on the ground and motioning his left arm towards the opened room. "After you."

After finishing work and calling it a night, North decided to check up on Jack before heading off to bed. What he found after opening the door slightly, was indeed a sight to behold. All the covers and pillows that were on the bed, are now on the floor-being used by the other visitors that were all huddled together with the now resting winter spirit, and smiles before closing the door.

Jack has really grown on all of them.
