How Taking Down Legacy Failed

Mickie's P.O.V

I pressed reject on Randy's call for the third time. "Aren't you going to answer that?" Melina asked me, glancing over at me as she drove me and Hayden into the mall.

"I'm with you….it'll be rude" I lied.

"C'mon Mick, put the guy out of his misery" She told me, I just shook my head and starred at the window.

"I'm just surprised" I sighed. "I didn't expect him to RKO me, let alone to make it hurt" I rested my head back. "He is always going on about other guys hurting me and then he goes and does that"

"I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt you too much, you know guys, they get competitive, at least we won" She said as we parked the car. "We get them all as slaves tonight, hmmm, I think I'll get Ted to re-enact what he did on your pen night"

"I think Ted would be more then happy to do that, we need to make them miserable!"

"Good point" She laughed. I hopped out of the car and went to the backseat to get Hayden and his pram out. I stopped when I felt my cell vibrate, I looked down thinking it was Randy again, but it was a text message from Becky. Where are you? It said, I quickly texted her back before sliding my cell into my pocket so I could reach for Hayden. Melina pulled his pram out. He was awake and smiled as I strapped him into his pram. "He is so cute!"

"Looking more and more like Randy every day" I stroked the top of Hayden's head. We walked inside the mall. "Oh look, there's my boyfriend"

"Your boyfriend?" Melina said with a confused look on her face, she looked over to where I was looking and laughed. Justin and Heath were here. "Isn't he dating Kelly Kelly?"

"That can easily be changed" I rubbed my hands together. "Right…." I took a deep breath. "Watch as I charm the pant off of him"

"Oh I'll be watching"

I went behind Justin and cleared my throat. He turned around and looked at me in surprise and then suspiciousness. "Did you follow me here?"

"No" I scoffed. "We just happened to be here at the exact same time in the exact same place, I'd like to believe it was fate"

"Go….away…" He said slowly.

"Justin, you shouldn't talk to your girlfriend that way" Heath teased Justin, slapping a hand on his back.

"You should listen to your wise friend here Justy! One day I will be sick of taking your crap and decide to leave you"

"That'll be the day"

"Such a kidder, isn't he a kidder?"

"He sure is" Heath smirked at Justin, knowing that it was annoying him.

"So what are you really doing here?" He asked me suspiciously.

"Picking out a dress for our date tonight"

"Oh a date?" Heath nudged Justin. "Get in there man"

"Stop it" Justin hissed at Heath. "Why does everyone encourage her?"

"Our love is encouragement enough"

"You don't get to talk" Justin quickly said.

"Why not?"

"You just don't"

"But why?"

"Because you just can't"

"But wh-"

"Just shut up!" Justin snapped in his thick accent.

I turned to Heath. "Did you know he paid Goldust to be his cover for the secret admirer business?"

"I told you that wasn't me" Justin hissed.

"And I'm Wade Barrett" I scoffed.

"No, actually, that would be me." My eyes widened when I heard that British accent. I turned around and came face to face with Wade.

"Err hello" I said awkwardly.

"I barely recognised you without your snake" He crossed his arms against is chest.

"My snake?" I questioned, and then it hit me. "Oh my snake! I get it, good one Wade!"

"You should get back to your friend and kid" Justin said, pushing me in that direction.

"He is looking more and more like his father each day" I rested a hand on Justin's shoulder. Heath and Wade both starred at Justin.

Justin quickly shoved my hand off. "No! The kid isn't mine!" Justin said to Heath and Wade, they gave him a look. "What? It's not!"

"That's not what the birth certificate says" I replied. "I think I've given you something to think about, Heath, Wade" I nodded at the two of them. I walked back over to Melina who looked at me in shock. "What?" I asked innocently.

"You never cease to amaze me" I turned back to Justin, who looked over just as I did and winked. "Mickie!" Melina nudged me.

"What? It's harmless" I looked back over only to see Wade wink at me. "but that's just creepy, let's go"

We continued to walk on when I got another text.

What shop? Becky texted. "Who's that?" Melina asked me.

"Becky" I replied, I replied to Becky's text too and put my phone in my bag. "I'm going to try these on" I told her. She nodded and sat outside waiting with Hayden. I smiled at my reflection and pulled back the certain to show Melina.

"Mickie! You look gorgeous!" I gave her a little twirl, that is until something caught my eye. I stopped and stared back to the icy blue eyes that I had come to know. "Randy" I half whispered. "Shit"

Melina followed my gaze and saw Randy standing opposite us. "I'll just be over there" She told me, I hesitated but nodded. Randy waited till she walked past before he stepped forward.

"How did you-" He held up what I recognised to be Becky's phone. It had been him who was texting, not Becky, well I feel betrayed! "Why?"

"Well you wouldn't answer my calls" He answered bitterly. "Mickie, what the hell is going on?"

"I don't know what your-" I pulled on the certain of the changing room to go back inside, but Randy grabbed my wrist and stopped me, I looked up at him.

"Don't give me that" He said sternly. "You walked away even when I called after you, you reject my calls and now I want to know what the hell is going on" I stared back at him not knowing what to say. I had no explanation to why I was angry with him, I shouldn't be. "You and Hayden are coming back with me"

"Randy I-"

"For once Mickie just don't argue, I want to get this thing sorted and I'm not doing it here"

"What about Melina? I can't just leave her" I told him. Randy's head turned, a few seconds later he turned back to me.

"I don't think she's going to miss you" I looked over his shoulder to see she was with Eve and my arch nemesis Kelly Kelly. "Go get changed" He muttered and leaned against the wall, he placed one hand on Hayden's pram. I didn't argue this time, I got changed and met him back outside, he took the clothes from me. "I'll pay for these, you go tell her" I nodded and pushed the pram over to Melina.

"You ok?" She asked me.

"Yeah, I'm going back with Randy, he wants to talk" I told her, she nodded.

"Call me later, yeah?" I nodded and sent her a small smile as she walked off with Eve. I jumped as I felt a hand on my lower back, I looked up to see Randy, he handed me over the bag of clothes, his hand stayed where it was, right until we got back to his car. I put Hayden in his chair in the back seat, Randy waited, holding the door open for me, which surprised me, considering how pissed off he was in the shop. I sat in and he shut the door and went to the other side. When he got in, he put his hands on the wheel, but didn't start the car.

"You made me look like a complete idiot Mickie" He didn't look at me. "You made me feel like a complete idiot. The fact that I had to steal my sister's phone and come find you was just-" He stopped and closed his eyes.

"You didn't have to come find me; I would have been home in a few hours"

"You're my wife Mickie, what did you expect?" It felt weird hearing him say Mickie instead of babe. "I've been going crazy, trying to figure out what the hell could I of done wrong" He finally looked at me. "It was the RKO wasn't it?"

"Can we just talk about this when we get back?" I pleaded with him. "Let's just get Hayden home and then we can talk about it" He didn't reply, but he did start up the car. The whole drive back to the hotel was in silence. I was relieved to get out of the car, I went round the back and pulled out Hayden, Randy locked the doors and waited for me. We made our way to the hotel room, still in silence. I put an already asleep Hayden into his crib and walked back out to see Randy leaning against the wall. I stood awkwardly, playing with the sleeves of my shirt. "Say something" I broke the silence. "Please"

"I just don't….I don't understand what I did wrong"

"You didn't, it was just me being stupid" Randy sat down on the couch, leaning forwards. I sat down next to him; he looked like he was in deep thought. I didn't know what else to do so I just put my arms around him and rested my head on his shoulder. My anger towards him had gone; my anger caused him to be angry at me. It all seemed so stupid now. I went to lean back as he didn't respond to me, but then he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me back into him. He leaned back and rested against the couch, he moved so I was now on his lap and resting my head on his chest. We stayed like that for awhile. "Does this mean you're not mad at me anymore?" I asked him.

"Does this mean you're not mad at me?" He asked back. I shook my head. "Then I'm not mad"

"I'm sorry" I told him. "I didn't mean to make you worry"

"It's ok" He said. "babe" He finished with a small smile. He kissed me and rested his chin on top of my head I don't know how long we stayed like that before we were woken up by a bang at the door.

"Time for slavery!" I heard Becky yell. Oh yes, the boys had to face their punishment! I nudged Randy; he opened his eyes and groaned.

"No" He whinged, circling his arms around me tightly.

"It's time Randall"
