How Taking Down Legacy Failed

Me and Cody stepped through the door, Becky, Randy and Melina was even there, stood up upon seeing us. "So? Did you find him?" Becky asked us.

"See for yourself" Cody said, stepping aside.

Ted walked in with the baby in the carrier. "We're home" He smiled, looking down at his beautiful tiny daughter.

"Oh my god Ted" Melina rushed over and bent down to look at the baby. "Pink?" She tugged the baby's blanket. "It's a girl?" Ted nodded. "We have one of each now!" She said looking over at Hayden.

"What happened to Maryse?" Randy asked, taking a step forward to look at the baby. "Hello" I smiled as he cooed at the baby, lifting her hand slightly.

"She didn't want her" Ted answered. "She didn't want our baby" Becky sent him a small sad smile. "but she's my baby now" Ted bent down and picked his daughter up, I moved his arm slightly so he was making sure her head wasn't hanging.

"Have you thought of a name?" Cody asked Ted, patting his back.

"I have actually" Ted smiled, he took a step back so we could all see him. "I'd like to introduce you all to….Miley Cyrus Dibiase!"

Everyone let out the loudest groan.

"Oh c'mon Ted….""What the hell man?"

"Do you hate your baby?"

"WHY?"

"Why would you do that!"

"Poor kid…"

That's all you could hear. "Hey, hey, hey, Miley is a lovely name!" Ted protested. We all stood firm. "Fine, I'll just go for my second choice" He ran his finger over the baby's cheek. "Amelia Lynn Dibiase….Mia for short"

"Oh Ted" I smiled. "That is such a pretty name"

"Is Lynn your mom's name?" Becky asked him.

"Her middle name" Ted replied, kissing Amelia's forehead. "Oh god….I don't have any stuff for her"

"Don't worry, we will all go out and get stuff for her, won't we guys?" I said, the rest of us nodded. "You can use Hayden's buggy, I'll just have to carry him"

"I'll just go and get it" Randy said, leaving out the front door.

"I'll go get ready" Melina said, following Randy out the door. Becky hugged Ted and went into her room.

"You did good man" Cody said, giving him a small and manly hug, he then followed Rebecca into their room.

"Oh Ted" I said as my hands clasped together. "I am so proud of you"

"Thanks baby"

"So were you there when Maryse gave birth?" I asked him, he let out a chuckle as Amelia slowly opened her eyes.

"Kinda, I wasn't by her side, but I was outside, boy that woman can scream" He replied.

"It's a painful process!" I protested.

"No, being kicked in the balls is a painful process"

I scoffed at this. "Being kicked in the balls is nothing compared to childbirth"

"I have proof that being kicked in the balls is more painful that childbirth" I crossed my arms and waited for this so called 'proof'. "Several months after being kicked in the balls, a male does not say, 'I think I want another kick in the balls'" My mouth dropped, Ted smirked and patted my head. "Told you"

"I've got it" Randy said entering the room with Hayden's buggy. "I don't think champ here is too happy about giving it up" Randy chuckled as Hayden was crying.

I took him from Randy. "My baby" I kissed his head. He buried is head in my shoulder. "We will meet you at the mall?" I asked Ted. He nodded.

"What about a baby seat for Mia?" He asked me.

"There is a spare one in Melina's car for Hayden, use that" I told him. "Shall we go?" I asked Randy, he nodded.

"I can't believe Ted's a father" I said to him as we walked out of the room.

"Neither can I" Randy said, he looked at Hayden. "It's not easy…but worth it"

"Yeah, he was" I kissed his head. "Hello, are we going shopping for your cousin?"

"Cousin?" Randy asked with an amused look on his face.

"Well you know" I sent him an innocent smile.

"I missed you when you were at the hospital" Randy said as he strapped Hayden into his seat. He pulled away and faced me, resting his hands on my hips.

I moved my hands up to rest on his shoulders. "I missed you too" I said, he leaned down and kissed me. We broke the kiss when we heard Hayden cooing. "I'm glad he'll have Mia to grow up with, it will teach him how to interact with other children" I stroked the thin layer of hair he had, Randy opened the car door for me. "Oh shit" I suddenly cursed. "I forgot to tell Ted he needs to feed Mia before she comes out" I grabbed my phone and called Melina, she knew how to make Hayden's bottles so she would know how to make Mia's one.

"Don't worry, I've got it covered, feeding Mia as we speak" She answered which relieved me. "We used the spare one you keep for Hayden at our place, you haven't used it before right?"

"No we haven't used that one yet, we're still breast feeding most of the time at the moment"

"Babe, there is just so much longer I can keep holding this door" Randy smirked.

"Oh my bad!" I said. "Sorry"

"Get in there" He slapped my ass as I tried to get in.

"I'll see you soon" I told Melina before hanging up. "Not cool Randall" I said as he shut the door. Just as he was about to open his door, I quickly leant over and locked it.

"Babe…." He said warningly. "Unlock the door"

"What do you think Hayden? Should we unlock it?" I opened the window a little bit so he could hear me. Hayden blinked back at me. "Hayden said no, I think I'm going to go with him on this one" I moved over to the drivers seat and put my feet up on his wheel.

Randy leant his arms against the door. "Open the door"

"Let's see…..only if you apologise for slapping my ass" I heard him groan. "C'mon Randall…. I'm waiting"

"I'm sorry, there! open up the door"

"That was pathetic, go again"

"I'm sorry babe for slapping your cute toosh, now can you let me in?"

"That was not meaningful at all, no."

Randy sighed. "Mickie Laree Orton, I am very apologetic for the tapping of your toosh, I cannot express my deepest regret"

I stared at him until a smile crept on my face. I moved back to my seat and unlocked the door, he opened it and glared at me. "There….that wasn't so hard, was it?"

"Just you wait babe, I'll get mine"

"I doubt it" I grinned at him. It was a half an hour journey to the mall, I took a nap in the car and when I woke up, we were there.

"Tired?" Randy chuckled as he opened my door. I stretched and got out.

"Just a tad" I replied. I moved to the backseat and got Hayden out. "I wasn't the only one" I chuckled as Hayden opened his eyes tiredly as I got him out. I looked at my phone. "Looks like they aren't going to be here for another half an hour, they only just left"

"What do you what to do?" Randy asked me as he locked his car. I smiled innocently at him. "Oh god no" He groaned.

"I haven't even said what I want to do yet!"

"I can already tell by the look of your face….this is going to be a long half an hour"

"Let's go get our shop on Randall!" I grabbed his hand and dragged him inside the mall. He kept whining. "Stop whinging Randall, Ted never complains"

"That's because Ted likes looking at himself in the fitting room mirrors" Randy replied.

"That's not true!" Randy raised his brow at me. "Ok…it's true" We kept walking until I found a shop to tease Randy about. "Oh look Randy" I went up to the display. "Your friend is here!" We were at a pet shop and on display was a snake.

"Oh har, har babe"

"Daddy's friend Hayden…." Hayden looked at the snake and then back at me and smiled. "See! He finds it funny!"

"He smiles at everything babe"

"He is a happy baby, that's all" I kissed his forehead. We continued walking until we found forever21, where I found clothes that I wanted to try on. Randy sat down on the couch outside the changing room with Hayden on his lap.

"Women ay" I heard him mumble to Hayden.

I came out in a lace trim peasant top and some high heel boots so I can catch up to Randy. "What do you think?" I gave him a twirl.

"Shows cleavage…makes your legs look even sexier….I like it"

"Good" I smiled and kissed his cheek. "Good eye Randall, I should bring you along, EVERY time I go shopping"

"If you love me….you wouldn't put me through that" Randy said to me sternly.

"And if you love me, then you would want to make sure I look good!"

"You look good in anything you wear"

"I don't know whether that's you being sweet or just trying to get out of going shopping with me"

"A bit of both" He replied, my phone beeped and he picked it up.

"Randall! Don't go through my phone!"

"Why? Am I going to find love messages from Justin or something?" He chuckled, I shifted my eyes, he glared at me. "It's from Ted, they've just arrived"

"I'll just take this off"

"Need any help?"

I turned round and laughed at Randy. "No I think I got this"

"You sure? I wouldn't mind."

"I'm sure" I got changed, paid and we headed to find the rest of the gang. When we found them, Amelia was wrapped up in her buggy, asleep. "How do you feel?"

"Weird…" Ted replied. "I can't believe I have a daughter"

I smiled at him. "How much are you willing to spend today?" I asked him, looking around and trying to decide what shop was best.

"Unlimited, my princess is going to have the best that money can buy!"

"Your really taking this father business serious, aren't you?"

"When I ripped up those adoption papers, I made a promise that I would be the best father I could possibly be" Ted told me, looking down at the tiny baby.

I smiled at Ted and returned back to Randy's side who was holding Hayden. He wrapped his free arm around my waist and we started to shop. We guided Ted in all the stuff he needed for Amelia and believe me, it wasn't cheap. We had to keep returning to the cars to load the stuff we couldn't carry around. "My arms feel like they are going to fall off" Cody whinged as we were now looking for the signature teddy for Amelia, it was the last thing we needed to buy. Hayden had doctor Dibiase and Ted believed Amelia needed one too, but he refused to give up his teddies, Senior Cuddles, Sergeant Teddy and Capt. Teddy Jnr.

"Oh my god!" Ted suddenly gasped running over to a different section, we all chased after him. "It's perfect!" He gawked. It was a cuddly toy of an overweight hamster. "Cody! It's like the story you tell me, the story of the Cody the Overweight hamster and his quest for pot noodles!" We all turned to Ted, I knew this already but the others didn't and they all grinned at Cody.

"Man" Cody hissed. "I did nothing of the sort" He told the rest of the group.

"I'm getting this" Ted announced, he bent down to look at Amelia. "This is your new toy, Cody the overweight hamster" He then stood up and faced Cody. "All we need now is pot noodles and you can re-enact the story for me!"

"Err Ted…" I said. "I think Amelia needs changing"

Ted looked down at Amelia. "Oh gross, Cody you do it"

"No way man"

"Mickie?"

"You need to do it for yourself" I told him.

"Becky?"

"Hell no."

"Mel Mel?" She shook her head. "Cowards! Fine! I'll do it!" He picked up Amelia gently and walked over to the bathrooms. "Oh no!"

I walked over to him. "What's wrong? It's not like you haven't changed a diaper before, you've changed Hayden's" I pointed out.

"It's not that! I'm a man….and Amelia's a girl, I can't take her into the men's and I can't go into the ladies!"

"You can take her into the men's, she's a baby, it doesn't matter"

"So does that mean I can go into the ladies?"

"No, because you're a man…." I told him.

"But Amelia's a girl…"

I slapped my forehead. "Just take her into the men's and change her, it's allowed" Ted went in and I waited for him outside.

"Is he doing ok?" Cody asked me.

"Yeah, he is doing fine" I smiled at Cody.

"Ta-dar!" Ted came out holding the freshly changed Amelia. "There you are Cody" He handed Cody the dirty diaper.

"What the hell man?"

"Well I don't want it" Ted told him.

"And I do?" Cody protested.

"I'll see you guys back at the hotel" I laughed at them. I walked over to Randy. "You ready to go?" I asked him, he nodded. We walked back over to the car, the rest of the gang followed. "Get in the car Randall" I said, slapping his ass like he did to me earlier, he glared at me and unlocked the car. "Bye Ted, bye Mia, oh she is so adorable"

"She's a Dibiase, what did you expect?" Ted replied in a matter of fact tone.

I shook my head and walked over to the car, I went to open the door, but it wouldn't open, I looked up to see Randy smirking at me. "Randall….unlock the door"

"What do you think Hayden? Should we unlock it?" He said, mocking what I said to him earlier. "Hayden said no, I think I'm going to go with him on this one"

"Ok…lesson learnt, open the door"

"Let's see…..only if you apologise for slapping my ass" He was still mocking what I had said earlier. "C'mon babe…. I'm waiting"

"You know, your plan is pathetic, I can just get a lift off…." I turned around to see Ted, Becky, Cody and Melina had already gone. "Dammit"

"Apologise."

"I don't want to" I mumbled under my breath childishly. "I'm sorry…" I continued to mumble.

"That was pathetic, go again"

"I'm sorry for slapping your ass"

"That was not meaningful at all, no."

"Stop it!" I stamped my feet. "Your stealing my material!"

"Fine, fine….I'll let you in" He unlocked the car.

"I'm glad you've come to your senses" I reached out to open the door, but just as I reached it Randy relocked it. "I hate you"

"And there's that cute little nose twitch"

"I'm sorry for slapping your ass, I really am, please let me come in!"

Ted's a father! He kept the baby!
