Narissa jolts awake and looks out the window and noticed the sun going down. She hops out of bed and runs out of the palace quickly. She runs down the stairs near the hall of the dead and back up near the market place. She slows down and melts into the shadows taking an arrow out her quiver and sets it. She watches as people start to leave and the sun completely disappears. She notices a female who stayed in the market and she hops across getting closer to her. She stops as she sees Calixto crouched and coming up to the young girl. Nari lifts the bow and focuses. He stops to look around and Narissa takes her shot, sending the arrow flying across the market place and digging deep into his heart. He falls over and the girl turns and starts screaming. Narissa runs forward as guards start filtering in. A guard turns and looks at Nari.

"Let Jorleif know."

She nods and starts walking back to the Palace. She walks in and stops when she hears the low voice of Ulfric and he didn't sound too happy. She looks around and then walks past the table and notices there in the hallway.

She freezes as she hears, "...Too dangerous for her!"

The anger starts to boil deep inside her as she tries to stay quiet.

"Ulfric, she can handle herself in a fight and you and I both know that. We can't keep her locked up all the time. Everyone sees the way you look at her."

"I will not allow her injured. I..."

Narissa slams her dagger into the door, embedding it causing Ulfric to turn quickly.

"I can handle things myself... thank you."

She looks at Ulfric as something defiant flashes in her eyes.

"It's bad because I don't want you getting hurt again."

Nari rolls her eyes taking her dagger out, sheathing it and folding her arms.

"Why does it matter so much?! I've been on my own for a long time since my parents died and I can take care of myself! I'm not going to just sit around her like a Damn princess and not do anything... For Talos sake..."

Ulfric snarls and turns facing Narissa causing her to jump slight.

"I will never stop fighting this! I will not stand by and let the person I love and care for get hurt!"

In that moment, everyone freezes. Narissa drops her jaw and notices Ulfric blushing. Wuunferth snorts loudly and turns walking away. Nari and Ulfric stand there staring at each other. She huffs softly and turns on her heels to walk away when Ulfric grabs her wrist stopping her and spinning her back around. He looks into her eyes for only a moment and leans in kissing her. He holds the kiss and steps back blushing as he turns and leaves. Narissa just stands there smiling and blushing as he walks away. she shakes her head slightly and walks to her room closing the door.

The next morning, she woke up and layed there for a few moments. The night before comes crashing back. She breathes deeply and heaves herself out of bed. She gets dressed quickly as her stomach starts to rumble, she walks out of her room and down the hall. Ulfric turns the corner and smiles at Narissa. She smiles back and as they pass Ulfric brushes her hand and almost seems to hold it for a moment before letting go. She turns blushing and smiling and turns her hand over holding a flower, dragonstongue. She smiles and blushes slightly going about her day. This happens over the course of the next few days. When Ulfric and Narissa pass each other, he will take her hand or kisses her cheek or give her a flower. And every time... Makes her heart beat almost out of her chest. After spending the day in the Grey quarter, she comes back to the Palace for dinner. She opens the door and walks to the table and sits down next to Jorleif. They start having a conversation about the city and everything going on when she feels someone brushing against her. She turns and finds Ulfric sitting next to her smiling.

"Good evening Ulfric!" She says happily.

"Good evening Nari. I have a request of you," He starts, she nods, and he sighs softly and continues. "There is a meeting going on tonight and I would like if you would attend it with me. There are some matters of my people and I would really like your input."

Narissa smiles and takes his hand under the table and smiles.

"I would love to help you and your people my Jarl."

He smiles and nods looking at the war room and stands up. He moves away from the table and Narissa stands up as well grabbing two sweet rolls before following him in. He pulls up two more chairs and allows Nari to sit and push her in and then seats himself. Narissa pulls her feet up on the chair and starts to eat her roll. When she realizes no one has said anything she looks up and notice they are all staring at her. A few men were smiling, some were curious, and the eleven haters were down right mad. She waves and looks back down at her food and eats it like nothing was happening. Ulfric clears his throat and that attention snaps to him.

"Let's get down to business gentleman..."

First order was talking about how the war is going and efforts and supplies. Narissa didn't really understand but she tried to follow closely. Some people made their ideas known along with more problems with possible solutions. Then they move to recruitment.

One of the generals speaks up, "Recruitment is up since the work done to the Grey Quarter and we're getting a lot of Dunmer support..."

All at once. There was a large bang against the table that caused Narissa to jump and accidently kick the table after. She holds her leg and looks up glaring at the one standing. She has no idea who he was, but she would ask Ulfric. She glances at him and notices the scowl.

"They are not Nords. They have no business being in our armies, in our cities, in Skyrim at all..."

He didn't get a chance to finish before Ulfrics chair went flying to the ground behind him and he was leaning over the table.

"These are MY people. Not yours. If I want them in my Army, they will be there with or without your support. If you have any problems with how I run things, then I will face you in a fair fight," He pauses and looks at the other general. "Get them in here tomorrow to be sworn in and training."

He pushes back against the table glaring at the one who spoke against the Dunmer.

"Dismissed."

Narissa chuckled softly watching him fly out of the room. The rest file out laughing as well and Ulfric leans against Nari's chair. She looks up at him smiling. She takes his hand in his and He looks down smiling warmly at her. This is when she knew, in her heart, Ulfric Stormcloak was a good man.
