Nico's POV

It's been 18 years since the Titan war and everything has changed quite some bit. Percy and Annabeth married and had identical twins named Chloe and Victoria, aged 14. I only saw them once. Recently when I needed to pick up some groceries, I bumped into Percy. He was going to bring Annabeth and the girls out for lunch and he introduced them to me. They have magnificent blue eyes just like Percy's and they loved Greek mythology and architecture. The two girls are quite tall, up to Percy's nose. Meanwhile, Grover and Juniper are still dating and I got together with Thalia. We had a spirited young boy 12 years ago, named Marcus di Angelo. He's a straight "A" student; really bright and he is now studying in Windowson junior high. But I always receive letters from his teachers telling me that he can't sit still in class. Don't blame him, he's got AHDH. For some reason, he doesn't have dyslexia.

Thalia and I have been hiding the truth from Marcus, keeping his history from him. We even left half-blood camp and took on actual jobs. I work at the library; it's quiet and I can come home in time to look after Marcus and to protect him. Thalia is an accountant. Honestly, I can't really imagine her dressed in office clothes, sitting behind a desk all day, working. We did not want to let Marcus know about his godly grandparents. Not once, even once, did we let Zeus or Hades see him. It's too risky and we figured that the less he knows, the better. It's not like Hades is going to let Marcus cheat death just because Marcus is his grandson. But lately, he's been starting to notice signs.

Today, he told me that he saw a black pegasus bolt towards the north of the city as he was coming back from school; Blackjack is going to Percy's (A/N Percy lives with Annabeth at 42 Alleydown street, located on the northern part of New York and Nico lives at 12 Danderlane Rd) "What in Olympus has Percy gotten himself into now?" I uttered under my breath, careful not to let Marcus hear anything. It was only 5pm and Thalia was still at work. I really want to find out what was going on, I can't help it. I told Marcus to stay in his room and study. I burst out of the door. Rushing towards the north, I looked back at our house. It is a small quiet little house with a little garden full of hibiscus. It is spring and the flowers are in full bloom. Altogether, it looks like an ordinary mortal home, hidden from the dangers of a hectic demigod life. I just hope that it's enough to keep Marcus safe. I suppose what I did next was stupid and irrational. If Thalia was there, she would have killed me. In addition, I haven't done in a long long time. That's right; I shadow-travelled.

I already know that shadow-travelling is exhausting but this time I felt like I taking a nap in the middle of the road. I looked around only to find myself at 29 Alleydown street, 13 blocks from Percy's house. And to think that I can't control my powers all that well anymore. I was too tired to try again. No choice, I'll have to run. 12 blocks… 10 blocks… 5 blocks… 2 blocks… I saw Blackjack take off. I picked up the pace. Finally, I came across a big house. It was beautifully designed; peach white walls with morning glories growing up on them, sea blue roof, a well-kept garden with blooming red roses, intricate iron gates plated in gold paint. Compared to this house, mine looks like a garbage dump. Then again, this is probably Annabeth's brilliant design. Inside, I noticed Annabeth pacing back and forth, left hand gripping a silver necklace with an 18 karat diamond pendant on it. Something must have happened, something big…
