"Mom, watch this!" Pym shouted from a tall rock.
"I'm watching." Janet called and watched her son jump and dive into the water below.
"He sure is daring." Hank mused watching as his son swam over to the shore and join them.
"He gets it from always being able to fly and from his mother." Tony stated.
"As long as he doesn't do anything dangerous." Janet said as she hugged her son.
"Ask how he plays superheroes." James declared from where he sat between his parent's.
"It's not true!" Pym declared, causing his parent's to laugh.
"James, why aren't you swimming?" Natasha asked.
"I'm fine." the teen answered.
"James, we know that you want to be with us as much as possible. We're not going anywhere. Go have fun." Steve said.
James looked a little unsure but his parent's gave him reassuring looks which allowed him to feel better about leaving to have fun with his adopted siblings.
"Go have fun." Natasha urged.
James smiled and finally joined his friends in swimming in the lagoon.
"This is an amazing place you made, Stark." Clint said lying on his back with his hands behind his head.
"I wanted the best for the kids while they grew up." Tony said.
"You did a good job." Janet said. "Maybe after we clear up Ultron's mess, we can find a private beach for us to go to every summer."
"I can teach all of them how to surf." Clint offered.
"You do and I'll zap you." Janet warned playfully.
"Ah, a mother's love." Clint mused. "I wish Bobbi could have been with Frankie more."
"We all wish that we could have been with the kids a little longer." Natasha said. "But we've been given a second chance to be with them. We should make the most of it. Steve and I decided that we want to take James to the secret house he and his unit used during the war."
"You're going to leave?" T'Challa asked.
"Not for a few more days. We just want some alone time to be able to reconnect with James." Steve answered. "He really doesn't like letting us out of his sight for too long. Though we can't blame him and say we're not doing the same."
"Don't worry." Janet said. "Hank and I are doing the same. It's just so amazing to have our little firefly back in our lives."
"Firefly?" Clint asked with a small chuckle.
"Hey, he's still young enough to have nicknames from his parent's." Janet declared, making the other parent's laugh.
Steve and Natasha looked over to James and remembered the nickname they had called him when he was young.
They called him 'little soldier'.
Now that he's older and they've seen the person he was becoming, they knew the nickname was accurately given. He was so much like his father. A soldier and natural leader.
Clint watched as his son swam with the other teens.
The years that they had been surviving together before he'd been captured by Ultron, although tough, were great. Loosing Bobbi had been a heartache on both of them but they did their best to keep her memory alive.
At times when he believed his son was depressed or sad about anything, Clint would affectionatly call him 'little archer'. Francis would demand the nickname to not be tied to him but Clint saw that his son was fond of it.
The parent's watched their children playing together. The next generation of Avengers who would help the world begin anew.
