Bella's POV

I have a granddaughter.

She's only hours old but she's ours. My granddaughter, Lacy's daughter. My little girl has a baby.

As soon as Becky told them she wanted them to adopt her Lacy and Brad went into baby prep mood, painting the nursery and buying everything they needed and more and then they waited.

Becky called them this morning to tell them it was time and she called me and now here we are.

"Are you crying babe?" Quil asks me handing me the coffee he went to get for me.

"Look at her, she's perfect." I hold her out to him and he takes her.

"She is. You know I was kind of afraid I wouldn't feel like she's Lacy's but I do. Where is she?"

"Her and Brad went to check on Becky. She doesn't want to see her."

"Did they pick a name yet?"

"I think they've decided on Dawn." I tell him and Brad walks in and says yep and that Lacy will be back soon, she stayed to talk to Becky alone for a minute.

He takes her from Quil and just kind of stares at her for a minute.

"I don't know if we're ready for this." He tells us.

"No one ever is but you two will be great and you know you have all the help you need with a phone call." I tell him.

"I can't imagine you not being ready." He tells me skeptically.

Quil laughs and I glare at him.

"I was terrified when I found out I was pregnant and then when she was born we were both so dumb. Thank goodness for Quil's mom. But Lacy has so much more experience than I did though I'm sure it will different with her actually being yours."

"She's so young." He tells us and Quil tells him she's the same age we were when she was born.

It seems like just yesterday and a whole life time ago at the same time.

Lacy comes in the room and takes Dawn from Brad and kisses her and cries and I cry.

"Derek just texted me to say he would be here in the morning with Lena and then everyone else is going to wait until we get her home. Brad and I are able to stay here with her tonight and then she should be able to be released early afternoon, she has to stay 24 hours. She's perfect mom, so perfect. I love her so much, I just I'm so overwhelmed with it. I thought all that came from hormones."

"That kind of never goes away baby." I tell her.

"Can I do this?" She asks.

"Of course you can Lacy; you're going to be such a good mom." Quil tells her and she cries and hands Dawn to Brad to hug him.

"I love you baby." He tells her.

We leave soon after and I cry the whole way home. I know my kids aren't little kids anymore but I wasn't ready for this!

"They're ready for this Bells." Quil tells me.

"But I'm not! Lacy has a baby and Derek is in college and he's going to be moving to New York soon. New York Quil! That's far from me! And for a girl. I mean I love Lena but it just all happened so fast." I cry to him.

"Hey babe don't cry. I hate it when you cry. We did our job and we did it well. I mean we still have a little bit of time to screw Derek up but it would be hard." I laugh and he smiles. I know he's right.

We get home and make dinner and sit down to eat and watch a movie. Sometimes it's nice but tonight I really miss the chaos.

We hear the door open and Quil gets up to see who it is.

"Hey mom." Derek walks in and I burst into tears and Quil whispers something to him and he says OK…

"I thought you weren't coming until the morning!" I tell him getting up to hug him.

"I wanted to surprise you. How is Lacy?" He says as I drag him in the kitchen to make him something to eat.

I tell him she's good and that I can take him to see her tomorrow with Lena if he wants.

"Can we do a big dinner tomorrow night if she's up to it? I miss everyone and I only have a couple of days." He asks and I tell him of course already thinking about everything I will need. "Oh… and can Lena spend the night?"

Quil laughs and tell him it's fine as long as Embry and Stacy are OK with it.

30 minutes later Lena is bouncing through the door and they sit down to watch the movie with us.

After everyone is in bed I make a list of things for a big dinner. It's been a while since we've all been together even though I still spend a lot of time with Leah and Stacy.

"Do you think we should be worried about them?" I ask him about Derek and Lena.

"Nope, Derek told me she refuses to do anything to put dancing in danger and that includes being dumb and accidently getting pregnant. We have Ari to thank for that I'm pretty sure." He tells me laughing.

I feel bad for Ari but whatever works I guess.
