Chapter 24
And I'm back with a new chapter. I'm still obsessing over X and Y and me and my guy friends have the release day planned out. Go after morning practice to EB games head to house and start our journeys together. I get Fennekin hehe...anyway away from my obsessing here is chapter 24
Misty's POV
I don't believe it, he just, but he-he's dense. How did he manage to pull this off? It's a classic; simple and easy. And I fell for it. How did he know I would follow him and then he pulled me right into this trap? I'm an idiot. The simple trip wire and pie and he managed to pull it off even with all the contraptions to be able to do this. And now I'm standing here with pie on my face and in my hair dumb struck. "Sorry about that Mist, guys and me were planning on this and set it up earlier." Ash said as held back his laughter poorly.
"Seriously! You know Dawn and Leaf are going to kill you for this right and I'm just going to get yo-" all off a sudden I just couldn't speak. Not because of him putting his hand over my mouth but more like him lips. My eyes were wide and he pulled away. "You back." I continued to say much slower and calmer than before.
"That's the real confession. Not the prank, we've just been planning that and I needed to get you away from everyone so I thought that it might even out a bit," he dropped his head trying to hide the red on his face. "I'll just go, sorry about this." He turned around and began to walk away.
My mind was figuring out what had happened; Ash likes me. Oh my Arceus, he likes me. He was just down the hall and I ran after him tackling him to the ground. "Ow, Mist why would you do that?" oh great I don't even know what came over me there. Well time to wing it, it always works.
"well um you see," I got up off of him and helped him up. He dusted himself off as I continued. "Um, it kinda did balance out, but this pie sucks so learn to bake better." That's good right; get off the topic, as far away from it as possible. He's dense and won't see what I'm doing, perfect plan.
"Gary made it, not me. I'm not allowed to touch the oven anymore remember I near about set the kitchen on fire?" Ash said making me recall when he had decided to make himself some breakfast after going for a run with me.
Flashback
We had arrived back at the dorm earlier than we normally would due to the hot weather we had been having making it tougher to run. Even after jumping in the ice cold morning ocean it was still a challenge. As well we decided we wouldn't stop for breakfast because we were so sweaty.
Once arriving at the dorm I decided to go have a cold shower to wash up. "I'll make us some breakfast well you clean up." was the last thing that Ash said to me before I departed to my bathroom. I grabbed my clothes for the day my favourite blue denim shorts, a yellow crop-top and my lucky red suspenders. I placed the clothes in a neat pile on my counter top and turned on the water. I took off my workout clothes and wrapped a towel around my body before testing the water for the right temperature. Once the water was ready I dropped the towel and stepped into the cold shower closing the glass door behind me.
Not long after I stepped into the shower I heard a high pitched shriek followed by Ash calling my name and screaming "call 911". I opened the shower door and wrapped my towel around my body, running to the kitchen. And that's where it was, the flames had engulfed the food and the top of the stove. Great, just great. My hair was still dripping wet and caused a puddled to be formed on the floor that neither Ash or me knew about I grabbed the fire extinguisher off the counter and quickly put the flames out.
Ash was still running around and managed to slip on the puddle that had been created by me. "Ow, thanks Mist, for putting that out I mean. Could you help me up pleas?" I stepped over to him and used both my hands to pull him up. "Thanks again." he gave me a sweet smile which I gladly returned.
"Just do me a favor and promise me that you will never touch that stove or any stove again, and if you do just have a fire extinguisher with you." He chuckled at my statement and promised me that he would. I pointed my index figure at him, which caused my arm to move my towel and cause it to fall slightly without me noticing. "I'm serious about that, no more fires."
He moved my hand out of the way and carefully grabbed to top of my towel, my mind went everywhere. I know him he wouldn't do anything bad but this was not looking good and I was frozen in shock of what he was doing. But to my relief he just lifted it up a bit and he moved my hand on it to hold it up. "It was falling sorry, I just kinda don't need to see that...not that I wouldn't mind...I mean not that I would want to, this isn't coming out right. Sorry, I'll start cleaning the kitchen and prepare an explanation for Cynthia and Cilan."
"I get what you mean Ash, don't worry. I know you well enough to figure you out." Both or faces were crimson red and he gave me another smile before telling me to go back to my shower. I did as told and returned to my shower.
Once I stepped back in I realized something, something very important that could change my life forever.
End Flashback
"That was the day that I realized how great of a guy you were," I mumbled to myself so that he would hear. It was true I learned how sweet and caring a guy could really be, unlike most of the ones I had met.
"Anyways, why did you tackle me? Couldn't you just have yelled at me or something?"
"I thought you were going to leave and not talk to me if I did and um one other thing." Ash looked at me eagerly and confused at the same time and my face was going red. "Ilikeyouback," I said it quickly and could barely understand it myself. Unlucky for me, well I guess it is lucky because he actually managed to understand what I said. He had pulled me into a hug and I hugged him back.
Once everything had been figured out between us we decided to head back to the dance. Once we stepped in the music had stopped and all eyes were on us. Thank god I managed to clean all the pie off of myself with the large amount of help from Ash, not. I did it all myself as he salvaged what was left to eat of the pie. Anyways, back to the current moment, Ash and I were being stared at by the entire population of students. Their eyes travelled down to the linked hands of Ash and myself and cheers were let out as well as shrieks from the members of my band A.K.A. my best friends.
"You two are dating now! Yay now the only ones left are May and Drew!" Dawn said in happiness, and then put her hands over her mouth quickly. I guess she didn't mean to say something, but May and Drew aren't the only ones left I mean there is Dawn and Paul still too. I guess she just meant aside from her. Oh well.
Dawn's POV
I can't believe that I just said that, no one can know about me and Paul, no one what so ever. I mean we have been secretly dating for 4 months and I have been sneaking into his room at night as well as sneaking out for little meetings at midnight on weekends. Maybe they will think differently of it and just think I meant something else. Well I hope they do...change the topic quick. "Anyways Ash, Cynthia asked if you guys wanted to perform a song for everyone. The guys are up to it, it is up to you."
"Sure, I'd love to. I'm going to go see what song we're going to play. I'll talk to you guys later, bye." He gave Misty a quick kiss on the cheek and waved good bye to go see his band.
"Aaaawww, how sweet." The girls and I turned to see Melody standing there. the one thing we had learned about her and her friends were that they were major drama queens, literally. They are actresses, and they make a huge deal over everything. They don't like us and we don't like them. Our dorms don't quite get along very well. There might have been some food and drinks spilled on the back at the beginning of the school year and all went downhill from there. We tried to out shine each other and the bands would always win, because one, we are liked and friendly with everyone, aside from Paul who just isn't a complete ass to others anymore. Two, we actually have more talent because we all do more than pretend to be someone else. And three, they are always messing things up, and I mean everything from their lines to the cafeteria lines.
"Just get lost Melody, we just want to enjoy ourselves tonight." Leaf said calmly.
"No I mean it; it's sweet that you finally found someone to like you Misty. I mean it's not every day you get to see a girl date someone that is disabled. I mean Ash is so dumb, and he does have a mental issue just ask him. He's told me about it. Hahaha, bye now." Melody laughed as she walked away. Ugh, more annoying than ever.
"Don't worry about her Misty, you are awesome and Ash is smart in his own way. Don't listen to her, she's the dumb one. Let's go watch the guys perform." May said to cheer Misty up and it did work, we ran over to the front of the stage to watch the boys.
Cynthia introduced the boys saying that they agreed to perform even though they weren't asked to ahead of time. The crowd cheered and girls screamed seeing their pajamas which consisted of no shirts. I do admit Paul did look really attractive without a shirt on. A well-toned chest and arms; really should see this more often. Anyways they positioned themselves on stage and were just figuring out some finally details.
"Alright, so were seeing a song I wrote a little while ago, when I was going through some hard times." Paul announced into the microphone, he didn't have his guitar with him, just an old school microphone; this is something new. (Pain by Three Days Grace) (Anything in brackets is the rest of the band)

The crowd cheered and the boys thanked them before leaving the stage. They walked back to us and the DJ started to play music again. "You guys let's dance for a bit before going back to the dorm!" Leaf beamed dragging us to the dance floor the boys followed and danced along with us. Well I tried to get Paul to dance but he stood there and didn't do much.

We all were back at the dorm and exhausted from the night at the dance. Everyone flopped into their beds like it did once they entered their rooms. I was going to fall asleep but remembered that I was supposed to go see Paul in his room tonight.
Waiting a half an hour, I opened my door slowly and headed into his room closing his door quietly. "Your late." The dark voice stated.
"Yaya I was dozing off and then I wanted to make sure that people would be asleep. So shush okay." I retorted. "So did you come up with an idea for the performance or not."
"I did, this is the song." He handed me a piece of paper that had a familiar title on it. "and I actually talked to Harley about our outfits and he did modify them so that it won't be noticeable. Cynthia knows all about it too, well not the whole 'us' thing, but what we are going to do." he told me the plan on what was going to happen to make sure I would understand. We were the last performance of the night and we had a little surprise in mind for the school. And it is going to be great. With such little time until the show, everything needs to be perfect.
TADA! All done this chapter. How was it?
Some comments for this chapter. If you are confused Ash and the guys decided to prank Misty because of a prank the girls pulled earlier on but I didn't add into the story because I kinda forgot to...oops. And then he kisses her to confess his feelings towards her. She is shocked and Ash doesn't think she likes him back because of that but then she confesses and yay pokeshipping!
As well, with the boys performance. What happened was Paul kinda preformed the way that Adam Gontier acted in the music video for the song, just because I love three days grace. That's about it just though I'd be nice and explain what was going on for those parts.
So far no one has guessed the record producers so I get the cookies! WOOHOO! Unless you guys can manage to guess them then I guess I make a new batch...oh now you can also try to figure out what the big surprise is...i think it is obvious but it might not be because I do know what it is...oh well. I'm going to fan some more because gameplay trailer 5 was released :3
