Here is the wedding of Yusei and Akiza that I am sure many have been waiting for. I am not very knowledgeable on weddings so I am just going to skim through a bunch of stuff so I don't drag it out.
Chapter 35 The Wedding day and Departure.
A week had now passed since Yusei proposed to Akiza as well as Jack's announcement to Carly that he would be leaving for the world turbo duelling circuits. Akiza had decided to wait until everyone could get together at once before announcing her engagement as well as her pregnancy to everyone else since Luna was the only other person besides Yusei who now knew about it. They also were still trying to get everything sorted out since they needed to plan and order a lot of stuff. Not to mention picking a time and date that would work for everyone to be able to attend. They both knew they wanted it sooner than later since they didn't want Akiza's pregnancy to show off too much through whatever dress she chose to wear. Akiza was right now just finishing up her job at work and was cleaning up her area when Yusei walked in and saw her and smiled.
"Almost ready to go?" He asked her loud enough for her to hear him. She then popped up her head and saw him smiling at her while he waved to her.
"Just give me another minute and I'll be finished. Just wait outside for me alright baby?" She asked him nicely while she wiped down her till. He nodded and headed back outside and waited by the front door for about 5 minutes until Akiza walked out with a smile on her face.
"Now we can go. I hope that everything goes well tonight." She admitted as they began to head to their duel runners.
"What do you mean by that?" Yusei asked her confused.
"I just hope that when Jack and Crow learn I'm pregnant they aren't going to act all immature or smart mouthed and let out 100 jokes you know." She sighed hoping they wouldn't.
"They might try and do that, but all you have to do is tell them quickly that if they do they won't be coming to the wedding. Crow isn't one for big gatherings and events but there is no way in hell he would want to miss a wedding that involved me or Jack." Yusei assured her as they made to their runners. They both got theirs going and they drove off to Martha's where everyone was waiting. They made to the front and knocked to find Carly opening the door with a big smile.
"Yusei! Akiza! Come on in you two, the others are all chatting in the kitchen." She told them as they entered the house. They then removed their shoes and headed for the kitchen where they saw Jack, Crow, Luna, and Leo all sitting and talking together. They all stopped when they noticed the two enter the room and sat at the end of the table with Carly sitting beside Jack. Yusei and Akiza were slightly stunned at the fact that everyone quieted down the moment they entered and were curious as to why everyone was so quiet.
"Ummm, hey everyone. Why are you all so quiet all of a sudden? Something wrong?" Yusei asked them confused.
"It's not that there's anything wrong Yusei, it's just that we all had to take time out of our schedules to come here because you both told us that you desperately had to see us all at once for something important." Crow started to explain.
"Exactly right. We can't just always come at the drop of a hat whenever you guys want to see us you know." Jack finished up tapping his fingers on the table.
"Well it's not like you guys ever told us that you were going to be busy today or anything so how were we supposed to know genius?" Akiza asked Jack back with as annoyed tone.
"You weren't. It's just that I was asked to come in to work today even though I had it off and Jack had to cancel a request for a photo shoot which he normally wouldn't just so we could be here so we just hope that this is something worth missing them for." Crow explained calmly trying to keep things peaceful.
"Well I assure you that we wouldn't have asked you all to come here if it wasn't important." Yusei smiled which caught everyone's attention.
"So what's going on then you two? What is it that you want to tell us all?" Leo asked them since he was just as confused. Yusei and Akiza looked at each other and then looked back and smiled at everyone. They both then stood up and stood together and held each others hand.
"Well before I say anything, where's Martha? Is she not here or is she upstairs.?" Yusei asked looking around.
"She just left to go to the mall for some supplies she said and told us that if you showed up to just do whatever we needed to without her." Crow told them so that they wouldn't worry.
"OH, ok then. I guess if that's the case then we will just say what we wanted you all to hear from us in person."
"And what is it that you have to tell us?" Carly asked them scratching his head.
"Well since you all went out of your way to come here I'll just come out and say it. Everyone, we have called you all here today to tell you that Akiza and I are now officially engaged to be married." Yusei declared happily with Akiza showing everyone the ring on her finger. Everyone now had eyes like saucers with Carly and Luna covering their mouths with their hands and Leo was somewhat confused. Jack then suddenly stood up out of his chair and proceeded over to Yusei with a serious look in his eyes which made everyone freeze as well making Yusei and Akiza a little nervous. He then raised his fist to Yusei and smiled proudly at his friend. Yusei realized what Jack was implying and gave his friend a fist pound which quickly turned into a handshake.
"This is something that I knew was going to happen so I'm just giving you this for doing it sooner than I thought. Good job my friend." Jack smiled which Yusei grinned back at.
"Yeah man. I always knew also that you two would get hitched sooner or later as well, it was just a matter of when it was going to happen. But it is still sweet to hear you two are truly making it happen." Crow said in the background.
"I'm so happy for you both to hear this! This is a great story for me to have happen personally since you two are just perfect for each other and have been since the beginning! You truly deserve this happiness Akiza!" Carly jumped up and ran over to hug Akiza happily who was starting to tear up hugging her best friend.
"I agree! This is so great! I'm so excited to hear you both are finally going to be together truly and honestly Akiza!" Luna added also leaving the table and joining in with Akiza and Carly's hug. Akiza's heart was melting fast as she had never been so happy in her life and she knew she was right now at this time in the arms of in her mind her one true family.
"Thank you! Thank you both so much for this! This means so much to me to be here with my true family and friends and sharing this happy moment!" Akiza cried out with Yusei and the others smiling. Leo was still sitting in his chair smiling since he wasn't sure about what was going on so he decided to sit this one out and smile while he watched everyone being so happy. 'Luna sure is happy about something. I wonder what's going on with Akiza to make everyone like this? I don't remember what marriage means but everyone sure looks happy.' He thought to himself.
"Well I hate to break you girls up from your little get together but there is actually more news that we need to tell you all." Yusei mentioned with everyone turning to him.
"What more could you have to tell us now Yusei? You aren't going to say that Akiza's pregnant also are you?" Crow joked still sitting in his chair. Akiza then smiled over at Crow and then rubbed her stomach with a smirk. Everyone gasped again with the exception of Luna since Akiza had already told her. Crow's mouth fell like a crater as he slowly got up and one slow step at a time walked up to Akiza.
"Seriously? Seriously?! You ARE?! Your actually pregnant?!" He asked her gasping with each sentence.
"Yes Crow, I am. So I would really appreciate it if no one made any jokes or asking about details ok?" She said seriously. Crow then snapped out of his trance like state and quickly ran beside Yusei and hitting him gently in the gut
"Well I'll be damned Yusei. I thought you told me you were taking it slow and not rushing anything. Now your about to be both a father and a husband. You sure take taking it slow to a whole different level." Crow joked before laughing while patting Yusei on the back.
"Crow, I just said no jokes." Akiza sighed annoyed.
"I know, I know, but I couldn't resist since I doubt I will be getting the chance to do it again. Crow admitted. But I will say that I'm happy to hear it Yusei. Congratulations." He then shook Yusei's hand and gave him a fist pound.
"Yusei, I thought we agreed that you would tell me about your relationship with Akiza honestly like we talked about at the beach resort. But it seems that you kept a big secret from me anyway." Jack while wrapping his arm around Yusei in a friendship like gesture.
"Well I only learned about this myself last week and someone was just complaining about being busy so I figured I would tell you in person." Yusei brought up making Jack scoff lightly.
"Akiza, this is so incredible for you. All the good stuff is happening to you at once. You got yourself a job, a place to live and now you are going to be married and a mother! It's great to see you getting everything you truly deserve." Carly stated happily seeing her best friend's life truly changing for the better.
"So does that mean that you are going to be giving birth to a child like our mother did for us?" Leo finally spoke up. Akiza then looked at him and smiled.
"That's right Leo. I will be doing something that all mothers have done and when my child comes I hope you can be a real big brother to him or her as well." Akiza smiled hugging Leo while he was still in his chair.
"So just out of curiosity if I may Akiza, how far along are you in your pregnancy?" Carly asked.
"I'm two months into it, so it will be sometime in the fall that my baby should arrive."
"Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?" Crow asked honestly.
"It doesn't matter to us what gender it is since I will truly love my child regardless." Akiza smiled rubbing her stomach.
"Hey, you might even end up with twins like Luna and me!" Leo shouted out making everyone jump a bit.
"He's right Akiza, you might have more than one child since it's too early to tell." Carly added.
"I honestly didn't think about that. Yusei admitted. But if she should have more than one I will still treat both of them with the same amount of love as each of them will deserve."
"I know that you will Yusei. You could never play favouritism with your own children. Your too kind hearted for that." Akiza noted happily.
"Well since we are all talking about life changing events here, I guess that now would be the best time to bring up some news of my own to you all." Jack mentioned getting everyone's attention.
"Is this about you going away for the Turbo Duelling Circuits?" Akiza asked him which caught him a little off guard.
"How the hell did you know about that? I never said anything to you or Yusei about it Akiza." He asked shocked.
"Carly had mentioned to me that you had planned to go but you didn't say for sure if you were or not." She explained with Carly nodding beside her.
"You can't be leaving the city are you Jack?! You're the duelling king of this city! You're the man I have looked up to as a growing duellist!" Leo complained now hanging off Jack's leg.
"Look Leo. I know that it seems like I'm abandoning you guys by doing this but all I am trying to do is to expand myself and my horizons by challenging the world's best and proving that I am a true king of duel monsters. I have no intentions of forgetting any of you guys or just running off and not coming back. When I have reaching as I can and gone as far as I can go in the world then I shall return as a true king!" He told the young man looking down saying it face to face.
"Are you ok with this Carly? Are you planning on going with him or are you staying here with us?" Luna asked Carly with concern in her voice.
"Right now Luna, I'm honestly not sure. But I know that when I am ready to make my decision I will follow with it until the end just like Jack is now. I know that if we are separated it will hurt for a bit, but the thought of Jack becoming what he truly wants to be will be a good enough reason for me to be happy if I decide to stay and wait for his return." She explained honestly knowing that she wasn't ready to give an answer. After another hour of chatting together Jack had decided that it was time to leave and do business elsewhere.
"Well this has been quite a interesting and unexpected night of events, but I have to take my leave now and see if I got any responses on my machine from any of the sponsors for the duelling circuits. Goodwin may have done what he said he would by recommending me but it doesn't mean it's a done deal." He said standing up and grabbing his white jacket off the back of the chair.
"Yeah and I should get back to my computer at home since it doesn't type up stories itself." Carly added also leaving the table.
"It sure would be cool if it could. Then you could sit back and let it do all the work." Crow joked with everyone chuckling.
"That would be so freaking cool if they made computers like that! I would want one like that as soon as they were made!" Leo screamed out.
"Leo, you just want anything that sounds cool or anything that would help you with your homework which is in real need of help." Luna stated which got everyone laughing hard and Leo pouting with his arms crossed.
"Well I plan on getting some turbo duelling in before the day ends." Crow stated smirking.
"Thanks for coming everyone. I'm really glad you all could make it since I didn't want to keep you all in the dark about us." Akiza smiled waving to everyone as they were all now at the door.
"It's fine Akiza. If we can do anything to help you both out with your wedding just tell us." Luna offered with a smile.
"Yeah! Just because we don't know much about them doesn't mean we can't learn by helping you two!"
"Thanks you two. We really appreciate the gesture." Akiza thanked them with loving kisses on their foreheads.
"If we do need help in anyway we will call on all you guys again alright?" Yusei assured them fist pounding both Jack and Crow.
"We will hold you to that Yusei, trust us." Jack said in a warning yet joking tone.
"Yeah, yeah. I know you both will. I'll make sure you guys are kept up to speed on everything that happens and when we get everything figured out and settled I will tell you what you all can do." He assured them.
"You got it Yusei, take care." Crow waved before being the first one out.
"I wonder what's going to happen first: me leaving for my journey into the world of duelling circuits or you getting married and becoming a father." Jack said to Yusei standing at the door.
"I am truly hoping that you will be there for the wedding since we want it to happen before Akiza gives birth. So we will hopefully be having it in a few months." Yusei explained to Jack hoping truly that Jack would be there.
"Well then how about this, you make me your best man for the wedding and I will make sure I stick around and leave first chance I get afterward alright?"
"Ok, thanks Jack. I really appreciate it Jack." Yusei thanked him.
"As do I Jack. I hope you all including Crow will show up for the wedding." Akiza added smiling at Jack.
"Just make sure you guys make it quick and I will show up. Now later you two."
"Yep good-bye and good luck you two! I'll see you both soon so take care of yourself and your baby Akiza!" Carly called to them as she was running to catch up with Jack.
"We better catch up with Jack and Carly since they are our ride home this time, so good night you two!" Luna said with her brother beside her both waving goodbye.
"Later Yusei! I hope when you become a dad you won't be to busy to duel us!" Leo joked.
"Very funny Leo! I'll teach my kid how to duel so well that they will beat you when they turn five years old!" Yusei snapped back jokingly.
"You wish!" Leo called back before he and Luna were out of Yusei and Akiza's sight. The two of them then shared a loving hug and kiss before heading back inside to wait for Martha to come home. As they waited inside they soon were cuddling in each others arms in happiness both thinking that soon they would truly be together. Martha then walked in and saw the soon to be happy couple sitting on the couch happily. They saw her and waved to her to welcome her back home as she dropped the bags she was carrying and walked over to them.
"So you both obviously told everyone about the marriage and baby right?" She asked out of the blue. Yusei and Akiza were not so much surprised about her knowing about the wedding but were on how she knew about the child.
"How long have you known I was pregnant Martha?" Akiza asked holding her stomach.
"Simple, you showed all the symptoms and signs of it. The sudden weakness, the vomiting as well as the fact that I heard you once in the bathroom a while back Akiza and you whispered: I'm late. Any woman could tell what was about to come my dear." She winked while shaking her head playfully. Akiza then blushed with Yusei lightly giggling as he saw Akiza's shy face and was reminded of how she used to be when they first met.
"I really miss that blush of yours Akiza. It's great to see that you have opened up so much since we started dating but I still liked that shyness of yours since it was one part about you that made me fall in love in you that much quicker." Yusei admitted with a smile.
"Oh honey, your just saying that to get a bigger blush out of me aren't you?" She said coyly like a little girl.
"Maybe a little, but I am serious about your blush being cute to me." Akiza smiled and hugged Yusei happily while Martha watched them. 'You both have truly deserved this happiness from the beginning. I know that you both will truly make this love last till the very end. The same goes for your soon to be born child.' Martha thought with a smile. Yusei then looked at the clock and quickly remembered something important he had to do.
"Well you two, I would love to stay in this comfortable position but I now must go and inform Blister that I am soon to be a very happily married man." Yusei told the ladies getting off the couch.
"I hope he doesn't make you work harder or give you more jobs from now on since I intend to have you by MY side now as much as humanly possible you got that?" She warned him sarcastically which made him laugh.
"I'll try my best. He told her laughing. But I honestly still want to make sure that I am working and have the money for the three of us to live well together."
"I know that Yusei dear. I know that soon I will have to take a leave from work once our child comes but I still want you to be there with us as much as you can."
"Alright well I'll see you all later then my lovely bride. He told her before waving bye and heading out the door." Yusei was now gone and once the door had fully closed Martha went up to Akiza and hugged her happily which Akiza just simply accepted.
"I know that you don't need to hear from me that I'm so happy for you and that I know that you both are two people who truly were destined to meet from the beginning, but I want you also to know that if you ever need someone to watch your child when you two want some alone time I will be more than happy to watch him or her so you two can keep the love alive."
"You're the best Martha, and you were the mother I always wanted so I know that I can trust you with anything. As a matter of fact, I can't think of anyone else who I would want to help watch over our child than you Martha." Akiza smiled now looking at Martha directly.
"Akiza, I know that whatever your child is, it will most definitely be just like you both in every good way possible. Yusei's strength and your kindness." Akiza again hugged Martha and headed for the door to head home.
3 months later
Time had passed and Akiza's and Yusei's wedding was right around the corner. The two had gotten all the preparations done and were currently lying in Akiza's bed which after tomorrow would be their bed since it had been decided that Yusei would be moving into Akiza's apartment and leaving his place and turning into a fully equipped workshop. Akiza's stomach had grown a slight bit but she was still able to look quite nice in the dress she had chosen ( The dress is the same as the one she wore at the banquet in #73 but it's white with white blooms)
"Can you believe that tomorrow you and I will be officially husband and wife and living together with rings on our fingers?" Yusei asked his bribe while rubbing her stomach area where his child was.
"If you had asked me 6 months ago then no would have been my answer. But now I can honestly answer: Yes." She said kissing him on the lips which he returned.
"So have you decided what you want to do for our honeymoon? I asked you before a month ago and you said you would think about it."
"Well to be honest with you Yusei baby, I was hoping we could wait until after our child is born and then we can have Martha watch over him or her until we got back from wherever we go. What do you think?"
"That sounds great to me Akiza, but I do have one thing I would like to do?"
"And what's that Yusei dear?" She whispered playfully into his ear.
"I want our honeymoon to be on a beach somewhere. I want it to be the same as it was when we all took that trip since that's where I knew that I was going to marry you and also where I impregnated you. He explained to her which made her start laughing which confused him. What's got you laughing?"
"So the only reason you want it on a beach is so you can repeat what happened and give me another child or so you can relive the feeling of loving me on the nice cool sand?" She teased him with a giggle.
"Well you never know. He laughed back at her. But I do in all honesty want to relive that trip again with just the two of us this time so we can have the fun we want." He said slyly with his hand now on her breast. Akiza smiled and removed his hand and kissed him on his cheeked with her mouth moving to his ear.
"Save it for tomorrow honey. Because after the wedding, we will have all night for fun." He smiled back and kissed her goodnight as the two fell asleep in each others arms waiting for tomorrow to come. (I'm just going to simulate the rest since I'm not very knowledgeable about weddings and what all happens) The set up for the wedding was now finished with Martha waiting in the back dressing room with Akiza sitting in front of a mirror checking herself out along with Carly and Luna. Akiza was just finishing up with her dress and looks while Carly and Luna were in awe of how beautiful Akiza looked in her dress and were both thinking about how it would feel to be in a wedding dress
"You look absolutely stunning Akiza. I can't help but feel a little jealous of you but I know that I shouldn't since this is your night to shine." Carly admitted feeling a bit bad that she felt that way.
"It's ok Carly. I remember that I use to think this day would NEVER happen to me in a thousand years so I'm not upset. The fact that I'm sitting here in this dress waiting to meet the man I love down that aisle is something I thought I could only dream of." She smiled happily at Carly.
"It's something that you always have truly deserved in life Akiza. You yourself just needed to believe it and find the person who would also be the one to stay by your side." Martha told her hugging her from behind.
"You're the best, thanks Martha." Akiza smiled.
"Alright then! It's time for everything to come together! Let's get you out there and make you a happily married woman!" Carly announced. Akiza then smiled and hugged all of her friends and headed off to the aisle way where Yusei and the guys were waiting. Yusei had chosen an outside service since they were hoping for a nice outdoor wedding. He had chosen Jack as his best man and Crow was chosen as the ring bearer. The ladies made their way out with Akiza being given away by Martha and made her way beside Yusei. They said their vows and kissed each other as they pronounced husband and wife. They both then left the aisle and proceeded to the tables where they began to play dance music which Carly and Akiza were happy to hear.
"How about a dance together Jack? Could be our last chance before you leave on your world journey?" Carly asked Jack directly.
"Of course. There's no way we could allow ourselves to leave without showing off a few moves. He smirked which got him nothing but annoyed looks from everyone. I'm kidding! Let's just have that dance." He said leading Carly to the dance floor. They began to slow dance which made Akiza and Yusei feel like getting involved.
"I think that we should show Jack how two people in love really dance together, what do you think Yusei?" Akiza smiled confidently.
"I think that you are one smart woman Akiza. I would love to have this dance with my new wife." He smiled extending his hand out and led his new wife to the dance floor. They soon began dancing together and were feeling a great new surge of happiness inside them knowing that now they had truly become one in more than just body. Leo and Luna were watching the two happy couples when Leo asked something out of the blue.
"Do you ever see us doing that Luna? Having someone by our side like that for the rest of our lives? Having someone to love and hold close to us like those two?" Luna herself was wondering that very same thing. She had already had the talk with Akiza and Yusei about loving another and knew that she truly did want what she was seeing with Yusei and Akiza as well as with Jack and Carly.
"I do Leo. I truly do see us finding that same happiness that those two have. I know that somewhere out there is a girl that you will make very happy Leo. Well once you grow up and mature a bit first anyway." She laughed which just made him pout. As the twins lightly fooled around at their table Jack and Carly as well as Yusei and Akiza were returning to the table after having their dances.
"That was quite a relaxing and entertaining dance I must admit." Jack stated drinking some water.
"Indeed it was Jack. Thanks for dancing with me." Carly thanked him happily.
"Your welcome Carly. I figured that since I will be leaving soon I had best give you want you want before I take my leave." He told her truthfully.
"Well I can assure you all that I have a truly great time whenever your around Jack. I just hope you are not gone for very long." She admitted.
"The path to becoming a true king has no timeline and thus can't be predicted." He told her back. Carly smiled and continued to enjoy her limited time with the man she loved. The party went on for a couple more hours until Akiza and Yusei decided to end the party and start their lives together. They thanked everyone with Akiza then tossing her bouquet which was actually caught by Luna which brought a happy smile to the young twin's face. The two newlyweds then departed on Yusei's duel runner and headed for home. Akiza was holding on to her new husband's waist the whole ride home with nothing but happiness flooding her heart. They soon made it back to the apartment with Yusei carrying Akiza inside. They quickly looked around knowing that this was the start of their new lives.
"Well my dear lady, shall we begin our newly started marriage with a lovely dinner?" He asked his wife still in his arms.
"That does sound great my love. But I would rather tonight skip dinner and go straight to dessert." She whispered in his ear devilishly. He became weak in his knees and proceeded to their bedroom where the two of them stayed for the rest of the night. A week had passed and the time had come for Jack's departure. He had called everyone to tell them that it was now the time so he made them all come to his place the next day to give them a proper farewell.
"So your truly leaving after all, Jack?" Crow asked him trying to not sound disappointed.
"Indeed. I told you all before that this day would come and I also promised to be here for the wedding. But now that it has gone by it is time for me to find my place in the world and I intend to start it today now that I got all my stuff with Goodwin settled."
"I'm surprised Carly never showed up. I guess she bring herself to see you off Jack." Luna noted disappointed.
"Actually to be honest everyone, Carly and I said our goodbye yesterday since she agreed that it would be better if we just had our time together one last time. So she and I have done what we needed to do."
"Well then Jack, if this the last time we see each other for a good while then I have only one request."
"What's that birdbrain?"
"When you get back Mr. King of the world, you, Yusei and I are going to have the best triple threat duel battle royale we have had!" Crow declared making everyone smile.
"I'm all for that Crow. You two and I will have the best duel we have ever had." Yusei agreed.
"Good luck, Jack! Make sure you take care of yourself out there." Akiza told him with a sad smile.
"Never fear Akiza, I shall return as I promised as a king of duelling and I will do it in one piece. But I will thank you for your concern though." He thanked her before bowing down to hug her while sitting on his runner.
"It's going to be very different around here without you Jack. I am really going to miss having you around." Luna said sadly with slight tears in her eyes. This time Jack jumped off his runner and kneeled down in front of the young lady and hugged her gently.
"Luna, I have big expectations for both you and your hyperactive brother. I know that in the future you will become a great woman that any king would die to have as their wife. You are a very rare woman Luna and someday you will come to realize your own gift." She smiled happily and hugged him again tighter than before for a few seconds until he broke the hug and went over to Leo and stood over the boy with a determined look. Leo looked back up at Jack and stood up straight like a solider.
"Leo. I have never said this to you before so you better and I MEAN BETTER not forget it. When I first met you I honestly thought you were just another fan who like all the rest kept saying they were going to become something big and yet never even tried because they were too busy drooling over me. But now that I have hanged with you for a while and seen your true self. You truly love duelling and you are always looking for another challenge and another opponent just like a true king of duelling. But remember this Leo: No one is perfect and no one not even I is unbeatable. You will always face challenges in both life and duelling that just can't be won. But I want you to remember this for me and everyone else. Stay the way you are and be true to the path you have chosen. It would be nice if you could tone it down a bit just cause it's different when your older. I have to make sure after all that the next king is a sophisticated one." Leo was happy beyond belief hearing Jack talk about him like he was destined to be Jack's successor.
"I promise to make you proud Jack! I won't let you down and that is MY promise!" Leo declared holding his fist out. 'I'm going to hold you to that promise Leo. Make me proud!' Jack thought smiling before looking back at Yusei.
"You know, I always thought that I would have a hundred things to say to you if this ever happened and yet I got nothing." Jack admitted.
"Then I guess there is nothing left to say but: Good luck!" Yusei saluted.
