Chapter 27
I'm back with part two! Hooray! I don't have much to say so I'm going to get right into the story. Enjoy!
Normal POV
Leaf stood there with her jaw dropped. "Well we figured out that he is still around, we haven't been able to contact him though. But there is still hope; Mr. Matloff is currently trying to figure out where he is situated." Mrs. Matloff explained to Leaf about finding her cousin.
"But this could ruin Angel's Light; it could ruin all of what we have worked for this year. I can't go with my cousin no matter how much I wish I could be part of my own blood family again. I have my own family here with my band, my friends and my boyfriend." Leaf raged in denial. She was completely against going with her cousin at this point. "I appreciate what you have done to look for him, but I can't leave the orphanage now. My home is with my band and that is in Jubilife city. I'm sorry."
Before Mrs. Matloff could get another word in Leaf walked past her back to the group of girls to see all her friends' families before they had to leave to go back stage again.
"Leaf!" Gary called as he grabbed her hand and began to pull her away from her band. "I want you to meet my family." Leaf smiled at his gesture and walked beside him instead of being dragged. "Gramps, Daisy," Gary said to get their attention away from Delia Ketchum. "I would like to introduce you to the best girl ever, Leaf Green."
"Oh you are so adorable!" Daisy cried as she pulled Leaf into a giant bear hug. Catching Leaf off guard she lost all air and began to go blue. To Leaf's luck Gary pulled his older sister off so that she could introduce herself. "I'm Daisy Oak, Gare-bear's older sister." Like everyone else that hears Gary's nickname, Leaf chuckled. "I only have one question, why Gary? I mean you're so beautiful and cute. You have so much talent, so much enthusiasm, and him, he's Gary." Gary gave a death stare to his sister.
Before Leaf could respond, another voice cut in. "Now now Daisy, don't ask that. There is obviously something about Gary that is likable."
"Thanks gramps, HEY!" Gary called upon hearing the insult.
"I'm Professor Samuel Oak, Gary's grandfather. I could never imagine such a fine young women to be with my grandson." Professor Oak introduced himself with a handshake which Leaf smiled at.
"Why does everyone have such a hard time believing that I can have a mature, smart and good looking girlfriend?" Gary moped.
"Because you are you; that's why. It's good to meet the both of you." Leaf smiled and patted her boyfriend on the shoulder. "Wait, professor did you know a man named Harold Green?"
"Oh yes, a great man and author, why he had a wonderful wife and the cutest little girl, Gary and her used to hang out well Harold and I did some studies. Why do you ask?" Professor Oak imagined the man he used to work with on odd occasions and the family he had. But snapped back to Earth for his question.
"He was my father. I thought I remembered him mentioning you before. You hear that Gary we knew each other when we were little." Leaf put on a small smile, in the memory of her father and mother.
"Oh that is fantastic! Are your mom and dad here today, I would love to catch up with them!" Leaf's face looked straight to the ground and Gary comforted her well trying to signal his grandpa to not continue.
After a few moments Leaf raised her head again. "Actually, my father and mother were murdered in front of me when I was four."
"I'm truly sorry for bringing that up, and I'm sorry about your loss, as is Daisy," Daisy nodded her head giving Leaf a small hug. "You come to us if you ever need anything, I mean it."

"Misty, hey I want you to meet my mom! Mom, this is Misty, my girlfriend." Hearing this Delia's face lit up!
"Oh it is so good to meet you; I never even was told that you were dating my little Ashy. Oh I am so happy to hear this! Is your family hear darling, I would love to meet them and get to know you!" Delia continued.
"My sisters are here, don't mind their attitude though they are the 'sensational sisters' and think they are all that but you don't need to treat them like they are royalty like they think they are. It's great to meet you, and you can get to know me after the show in the dorm where it is quieter." Misty explained to Ash's loving mother.

May was talking to her parents and her Aunt and Uncle when Max and Ruby (I just realized that theirs names are a kids show. And I don't mean that) tackled here into a hug. "Ahh! Guys really! Ah screw it I missed you two!" May laughed with her cousin and brother on the floor. They sat up, still laughing, and just sat on the floor catching up with each other.
Max had whispered something into Ruby's ear and his eyes opened wide. "So May, who's this boy?"
"Huh?" May began to go slightly red. "There is no boy."
"Well, I hear that there is a boy, just taller than I am, green hair, goes by the name of Drew." Ruby continued watching May grow redder and redder. "Aha! So there is a boy! I believe that it is mandatory that Max and I here," Ruby put his arm around Max as he said this. "Go and talk to this boy."
"He isn't my boyfriend or anything, we fight a lot and that is it. There is no need to go talk to him." May looked at the time on her phone, then to her friends giving one last hug to their families. "I need to go preform again." May stood up and dusted herself off before continuing her sentence. "I will deal with you two afterwards."

Backstage the partners began to get ready to perform and close the show. May and Drew were first, followed by Gary and Leaf, then Ash and Misty, and Paul and Dawn would be closing the show.
May and Drew were in the prep area which was closed off so only the next act would be there. it had access to the stage as did the relaxing part of backstage so the other acts could watch the one that was on at the current moment.
May was changed with her make-up done and was doing her hair into loose curls as Drew came out of the dressing room fixing his tie. Drew stayed a distance as he fixed his outfit in the mirror. He was wearing black dress pants with black, shined skate shoes, a white dress shirt with a red tie tucked underneath a black vest. He had on a red watch that was visible when he held a microphone up.
May had finished and as she stood up the chair squeaked causing Drew to look over as she turned towards him. His entire vision was at that moment in slow motion. May was wearing a red one shoulder strapped dress that was tight around the bust and then began to flow loosely to the ground. She had black kitten heals on with a black heart locket around her neck. She had on a rich red lipstick that allowed her lips to stand out on her lightly tanned skin. In Drew's mind she was a complete goddess.
May walked over to him and began to speak to him. Drew could see her lips moving but was overtaken by her beauty to listen to what she was saying until she hit him in the back of the head. "Drew are you even listening to me?"
"What, um...no. May you look beautiful and we should really talk about earlier." Drew said grabbing her hand.
May snatched her hand back , "There is nothing to talk about, I made you feel better and you tahnked me in a way without words. That is all. You are missing something. Aha!" She turned around and snatched a flower from the vase. After ripping the stem in half she tucked the red rose into his vest pocket. "Much better; now we are ready to perform."
Drew put on a small smile and locked his arm with May's as they walked onto the stage for the last time. The crowd went silent the moment that the two walked on stage. Drew walked May over to the piano and made sure she was okay before picking up the mic at center stage.
Both May and Drew took a deep breath as May played the first note on the grand piano, putting the crowd into a trance. (The Last Night – Skillet)

May stood from her piano and joined Drew center stage. The crowd was cheering and Drew and May bowed. Drew took the rose out of his pocket and gave it to May earning a louder applause from the crowd. May stood there for a moment thinking to herself before giving Drew a quick peck on the cheek. Drew grew redder earning a chuckle form May before they took one last bow and exited off the stage.
"You were great now let's go see the others and watch them preform," May said cheerfully pulling drew off to the side of the stage to where everyone but Leaf and Gary stood.

"Gary hurry up would you we need to be out there in a couple minutes! May and Drew are near about done." Leaf called as she knocked on the dressing room door.
"I'm almost finished!" Gary called back. Leaf smiled and then went to make sure that her outfit was okay. She was wearing a back tank top with a flowing lime green shirt that went to just above her knees in the front and her mid-calf at the back. She wore a black leather jacket on top of her tank top, with a pair of black combat boot on her feet. Her hair was straitened and her side bangs were teased and pulled back on top of her head. She had on a light sparkling eye shadow and a pale pink lip balm.
Gary stepped out of the change room with a slide although in the process, his shoes, being brand new with lots of grip, stuck to the floor causing him to fall over. "Okay no one saw anything." He got up and looked in the mirror one last time. He was wearing a thin, grey, long sleeved shirt with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows. White skinny jeans that had a green belt to make sure that the waist of them would fall and lime green converse on his feet. He also had a silver watch on his wrist with a few material bracelets that he had been gathering over the year.
"You ready?" Leaf asked, Gary nodded with a smirk on his face. "Then let's show them what we've got."
The couple walked onto the stage a little bit after May and Drew had left. They looked at the DJ and nodded telling him to begin the track they created. (Where Dem Girls at- David Guetta)
[Gary] So many girls in here, where do I begin?

The crowd cheered and danced along with Leaf and Gary as they performed and danced around the stage themselves. Once the song had ended the couple took a bow and thanked the crowd before leaving to the others and waiting for Ash and Misty's performance to begin.

"Misty I think that I look gay in this." Ash complained as he walked out of his change room wearing a plain white t-shirt with an unzipped dark and light blue, think stripped hoodie on top. He also wore a pair of tight denim shorts that went to his knee and a pair of black converse. "Seriously I think that was the point of this outfit; to make me look ridiculous."
Misty walked out of the change room after him pulling on her shirt. "You look fine, I look completely not me; except for the blue. But this is what Harley thought was best for the song so, we have to." Misty wore a blue crop top that was skin tight with a sweetheart neckline and a fake gold zipper at the front. She had a pair of black skinny jeans with a pair of black, strappy heals that had a row of gold gems going up the center of the front of the shoe. She had gold bangle on her wrist to match the watch that was on Ash's wrist. Her hair was straightened with the front on the sides flaring forward (Her game style hair in the Johto games). Ash's hair was without its cap but it was still a mess.
"Are you sure, I mean this is kinda ridiculous." Ash asked again showing her the outfit once again. "I mean you look good, I look silly."
"You don't look silly; you just aren't used to wearing that kind of outfit. So suck it up because we are up now." Misty said as she put the head set microphone on top of her head since she and Ash were both supposed to be lively and dancing around on the stage. Ash put his on as well and the two nodded to the DJ from back stage to start the music. Once the music started they began to walk out. (Good Time- Owl City)

Misty and Ash did the same as the other two partners did and headed to the group watching at the side of backstage. "So this is going to be the final song of the night, and it is probably the best of the partners, no offense guys," Cynthia waved over to the group at the side from on the stage. "But these two are both the lead singers of the bands we have at this school, and the song they wrote has a ballad that is very important to Dawn. I hope you enjoy this next act. Please welcome the last act of the night Paul Shinji and Dawn Berlitz. Cynthia walked over to the side of the stage with the teens waiting for their friends to perform.
The lights in the Area all dimmed down and a single spot light followed Paul onto the stage. Paul wore a pair of black jeans that were not too baggy but not too tight, with white suspenders hanging on to either side of his body. He had a black leather jacket that was zipped up with the silver zipper shining under the spotlight. He also had a pair of white high tops on. He took a seat on the stool that was place center stage and pulled the acoustic guitar around so that he could play it. Paul leaned down into the microphone and began to speak over the hushed crowd. "I hope you don't mind, we are slowing things back down after those two great performances. But we came up with this, and it has a great meaning to both Dawn and I." Paul began to strum the first notes of the song, as fog began to cover the stage floor.
Dawn stood backstage waiting for her time to enter the stage. She was wearing a long sleeved white dress that was based off that of the ancient Greek goddess. There were silver beads below the bust and silver lace was tied into the sleeves of the dress. Her hair was curled and pinned to the left side. She was breathing slowly, waiting for her moment to shine. (Broken –Seether)

On queue Dawn walked onto the stage slowly, she made her way to Paul and stood with her hand on his shoulder.

The crowd erupted into a standing ovation. Paul put his arm around Dawn's waist as she hugged him from the side. Dawn looked into the audience for her mother who was wiping tears away from her eyes.
The Two bowed and began to walk off the stage as the lights shut off making the entire area pitch black. The crowd's applause turned into gossips of confusion. Gary, Ash and Drew began to smile. All was going according to their plan for a party to get started back up.
A burst off flames came up from both sides of the stage, then dies down after a few seconds. Once the flames were gone a light show of different colours began and on stage stood Dawn wearing a pair of White Skinny jeans and a pink crop top that fell off her shoulder, her hair was no longer pinned to the side but let loose and had a pink and white plaid fedora placed on top of her head, her top had a silver pair of lips printed on the front. She had silver strappy high heels and silver bangles were on her wrists.
Paul as well was on the stage with a different outfit then what he just had on. he still had his jeans but the white suspenders were know silver chains, he had on silver and white high-tops. The leather jacket was gone and now there was a black long sleeved shirt that had the sleeves pushed up to his elbows. A winged skull was printed on the front in white and a silver watch was on his wrist. Like Dawn he had a fedora only his was black and white plaid.
The two stood back to back each doing a pose that reflected their personality. Paul stood with his hands shoved into his jean pockets, his face down towards the ground causing his bangs to cover his face. Dawn had one leg bent putting all her weight onto the other with her hand on her hip and the other having her index finger and thumb holding the front of the hat on her head. a beat started to play and the two didn't move until they spoke.
[Dawn] Headlines rumors and lies

At the end of the song Dawn and Paul ended up at the front of the stage in a kiss. The crowd was roaring in applause although those that lived in dorm M-26 stood a gapped whether it be in the crowd or off to the side of the stage. They had no words. After Dawn and Paul made their exit off stage their friends were still confused.
"this whole time" May said leaning onto Leaf.
"it was right there," Gary spoke next.
"Yes we were dating behind your backs. I'm surprised you didn't find out sooner. I mean seriously it was pretty obvious, we stopped bickering at each other completely." Dawn spoke looking up at Paul who was hugging her from behind.
"Well we are now officially stupid. I can't believe you wouldn't tell us Dawn!" Misty shouted finally coming out of the shock. "you are supposed to tell us everything! I mean seriously, you figured out I like Ash and you were going to try to hook us up just so that you could know that we were together and you two don't bother telling us."
"Calm down would you Red. I made the first move after the whole creep Conway incident. We would've told you I just didn't want the whole school to know and start trashing her because she was dating the 'heavy metal/emo and whatever else you call me' I didn't want her to have a bad reputation. Troublesome wanted to tell you I just wouldn't let her." Paul explained to the group hopefully calming them down.
All the girls 'awed' and the guys gaged at the actions of Paul. Gary smirked letting go of Leaf's hand and crossed his arms. "So all I'm hearing now is that it is true you are becoming soft."
Hearing this, Paul's eye twitched with anger and he let go of Dawn pushing her aside before going after Gary, who jumped off the stage and ran into the audience. "I am going to murder you Gary! Get your ass back here!"
And that is part two. I actually was writing this and decided to split this into 3 parts instead of 2. This was to separate the different parts of the night from band acts to partner acts to hanging out afterwards. It makes sense in my mind that and it makes writing the chapters easier, so no being mad about that.
If you couldn't tell the last song was They don't know about us by Victoria Duffeild. I just didn't want to write in the tittle because that would ruin the surprise of the song. But remember the song from when Paul thrashed his room? Ya I got some fore shadowing in there! My English teacher would be so proud of me:3
Anyways what did you think of the chapter, you still haven't found out Leaf's cousin mwahahahaha. If you can guess it you get a hug. That's all I got to offer but ive been told my hugs are the best.
