Chapter 41:

Natsu grabbed the celestial mage's shoulders from the infirmary bed as he began rocking them back and forth in a swift motion. He was really impatient right now since he wanted Lucy to just wake up from when she had collapsed, but she was still the whole day on the bed, silently breathing with a calm expression on her face.

"Luce you need to wake up right now!"

"Idiot" Gray said as he smacked the back of the pink-haired mage's head, "Don't you understand the concept of letting her rest? She's out cold right now, so I'm pretty sure you don't want Porlyusica to smack you on the head with a broom for trying to wake up Lucy."

"Exactly" Sting said folding his arms while he shook his head in disapproval, "You honestly are so dense sometimes Natsu-san."

"Natsu if you don't unhand Lucy right now, I can guarantee you that you'll be facing the harsh consequences then" Erza said folding her arms, glaring at the Fire Dragon Slayer, "You do understand since you're causing more movement on Lucy's body, it's going to take more time for her magic energy to heal back in its place."

Natsu let out a deep breath before loosening his grip off of the celestial mage's shoulders. He honestly found it so different without her being awake in her bubbly attitude that'd cause everyone to have a smile on their faces. Of course, he knew that the celestial mage wasn't dead but just in some deep unconsciousness that simply looked like she was taking a long nap. And for some reason, Lucy being unconscious seriously pissed him off since Angel was the cause of all of this.

Erza fixed her eyes onto Natsu who was gripping his fists tightly. She could tell that he was definitely worried about her condition and the real turn out of all of this. Porlyusica and Wendy had specifically told them that the celestial mage was going to be alright, but who knows things could take a turn for the worse.

Sting stood up as he then walked over to the infirmary bed, hovering over Lucy's body with a brokenhearted expression on his face. It honestly killed him to see the way she was looking right now, her skin was paler than usual, cuts and bruises took their place on her cheeks, and her lips were cracked a little but she still maintained to keep that calm expression on her face. It was as if she was a dead corpse just lying there, when in reality she was living but looked completely dead.

"This is all my fault" Sting muttered as he raised his hand to his forehead, tilting his head downward, "If I had just paid more attention to my surroundings, Racer would've never caught me, and tied me up in those ropes. Then Lucy wouldn't have had to go through all this trouble just because I can't do anything right."

Gray and Natsu looked each other with widened eyes as they soon heard muffled sounds coming from the White Dragon Slayer. They were completely astonished to see that soon tiny prickles of glittering water began to form in the corner of his eyes. Never in their whole life that they've met Sting, would've ever thought that he'd hit his peak where even his heart too would break causing tears to be formed.

Sting then turned his head around to notice Gray, Natsu, and Erza placing a hand on his shoulder. The three of them had small smiles on their faces, nodding their heads in rhythm reassuring him that they knew everything was going to be okay for Lucy.

"I know we weren't great friends at the start" Natsu said with a toothy grin before continuing, "But Luce is really a strong girl, and she can actually handle anything you throw at her. I can completely tell you one hundred percent that she'll wake up soon since she can't let her story end now. It's just beginning for her."

"Natsu's right" Gray said tapping his shoulder, "She's a Fairy Tail wizard after all, she won't just throw her life down because of Angel's stupid magic. Fairy Tail wizards don't die for their friends, but actually live for them."

"Have faith that she'll wake up soon Sting" Erza said with a smile as she then gestured an arm towards the door, "I'm sure we can do something as a Team to help you get your mind off Lucy for at least a little bit of the day. How about we stop by the 8-Island in Hargeon, you know the one that Yajima owns?"

At the moment Erza had stated that, Natsu's eyes began gleaming as he slightly drooled at the thought of all the food he'd be able to eat there. He honestly loved going to the 8-Island since Yajima would always cook them the best food possible for them especially since they were in his favorite guild of his.

"Hell yeah we have to go!" Natsu said as he whipped his head to face Sting placing his hands in a pleading way, "Come on Sting, you have to say yes! Say it, for my sake!"

"Idiot, this is for Sting not you!" Gray said smacking the back of the Fire Dragon Slayer's head, "Honestly you're so dense sometimes and just think about food during serious situations."

"I think that'd be great." Sting said with a grin, "And you're right, I need to have faith that blondie will wake up. Thanks for the comforting, even though you guys didn't need too. I also think we should start heading there right now since by the look on Natsu-san's face he's probably picturing all the food."

"Alright let us head out-"Erza said as she placed her hand onto the doorknob until she noticed it was turning which meant someone was trying to come into the room. She raised an eyebrow as she lifted her hand from the knob to allow the person from the other side to enter the room. As the door slightly cracked opened, Wendy's head popped in from the door with a happy expression on her face.

"There you are Wendy" Gray said shoving his hands in his pockets, grinning at the Sky Dragon Slayer, "We were about to head out to 8-Island with the Team to try to help Sting get his mind off of the Lucy thing, and considering since you're part of the team, are you going to tag along with us?"

Wendy's eyes glittered as she nodded her head, "Oh of course, I'll come along if it's for the sake of Sting-san!-And oh yes, I had just spoken to Porlyusica right now and she's coming in a few minutes inside of her to begin to treat Lucy with the healing stuff to restore all the magic energy she had lost as well as all the physical and internal damage."

Sting let out a sigh of relief as he ruffled the dark, blue hair on the top of the Sky Dragon Slayer's head, "Oh that's great to hear, is there anything else Porlyusica had said to you?"

"She said something on how once she gives Lucy the things to help herself, she'll have no problem waking up tomorrow morning, or even later if we're lucky." Wendy said clapping her hands happily at the cheery expression that had now appeared on Sting's face.

"That's awesome news!" Gray said folding his arms with a smirk curled onto his lips, "Now that we've just heard that, I think that all the stressful thoughts have finally drained from our heads. I just hope that she'll wake up tonight since I really want to give her a friendly hug for being that brave standing up to Angel, and not giving up."

Erza nodded, "I think we all need to give her a big, warm hug when she wakes up since we haven't even been able to make any contact with her since she's been unconscious. But no matter, I have faith that it'll be tonight. Anyways, we should begin heading towards the 8-Island before it begins to pack up."

"And I'm sure I'll be coming along as well."

Erza turned her head towards the door to see a shadow neatly on the ground before a figure began to emerge from it. Of course, she knew it was Rogue since she was already used to the Shadow Dragon Slayer sneaking up on them from time to time whenever he entered his shadow. And she found this a really splendid thing that almost all of Team Natsu, (with the exception of Lucy) is coming along to 8-Island to have some time to relax.

"Let's just get going now!" Natsu groaned as he patted his stomach, "But stomach is literally calling out for some food right now, and if I don't get some soon you're going to have to see the other sides that dragon slayers have to them. And trust me I don't think you want to."

Erza rolled her eyes and chuckled as they began walking down towards the guild hall where voices and cheeriness was heard. As they emerged from the guild hall, she noticed that everyone was returning back to their normal daily lives, but still were talking about Lucy's condition.

Before Erza could walk any further, a figure stopped right in front of her which caused the scarlet-haired mage to come to a quick halt. She narrowed her eyes at the cloak that the user was wearing as her eyes adjusted up to the face. As she expected, it was Jellal with a nonchalant expression on his face but his eyes hollered out that he was in need of telling her something important.

"May I have a word with you if that's alright, Erza?" Jellal asked looking in the other direction where the backdoors of the guild were that led to the training area, as well as the gardens.

"I don't see why not" Erza said with a serious expression as she turned her head around facing Team Natsu, "I'll be right back, when I come back there better not be any brawls starting in the guild hall or so help me you'll all be eating healthy food at 8-Island."

Natsu, Gray, Sting, and Rogue then stiffened as statues with nonchalant expressions. They kept their vision to the front of them not letting them glide to the side to even look at anyone as they feared if they did, they'd make a mistake and cause a brawl.

Erza soon followed Jellal into the back of the guild where colorful lanterns were hung above them, as well as the ground where it reflected off of the glistening lake, and the trees shone brightly. A quick, warm breeze brushed against her as it caused her scarlet-hair to whip in back of her. She raised an eyebrow at Jellal who was letting out a deep breath, staring intensely into her dark, chocolate orbs. Just what did he want to say to her, exactly?

"Erza… there's a lot I want to say to you right now, I just don't know the words to put it in" Jellal said as his hazel eyes turned towards the ground, "I suppose since I can't say a long paragraph with my words injected into it, I think the best thing I can do to make you realize the picture is this."

Suddenly, Jellal grabbed the side of Erza's cheeks pulling her in and slowly placed his lips onto the scarlet-haired mages. Her eyes widened at his sudden movement, but she soon relaxed into it as she wrapped her arms around his neck, as he too then placed his hands onto her waist. Her mind began to warm up a bit at this moment, as it felt like she was dreaming.

As Jellal soon broke the kiss, the two gazed into each other's eyes smiling, "I suppose that should have told you the way I truly feel about you Erza. Your name is full of warmth, and light, it gives me hope to live on. You're the reason that I've gained confidence in myself, and it's not surprising when I had amnesia the first thing that came out of my mouth was your name. It was the color of your hair that helped me remember since I gave you your last name when we were children. I want to be with you Erza, I honestly do. And I'll do anything to make that possible, if only you'll accept it."

Erza's face began to fluster up as a huge smile began curling onto her lips, "Of course Jellal, it's all I've ever wanted as well."

Before Jellal could even response back, Natsu, Gray, Sting, and Rogue had emerged from the backdoors with mischievous smirks on their faces with their arms folded. And the Fire Dragon Slayer had such an impatient expression since his drool was now dripping on both sides.

"Erza, get your ass over here I'm starving!" Natsu whined as he soon noticed the sudden glare that was soon created onto Erza's face for the foul language he just used. He then looked over to Gray, and Sting who were keeping their laughs muffled behind their hand, Rogue was just shaking his head with a small grin, and Wendy was letting out a deep breath.

"Natsu, you are going to be receiving the punishment of eating healthy food" Erza said pointing a finger towards the Fire Dragon Slayer before turning back to Jellal, "I guess I'll be seeing you later!" She then placed one more peck onto Jellal's lips before stomping over to Team Natsu and literally dragging Natsu inside of the guild.

"That's my Erza alright."
