A/N: Sorry I have been gone so long! But more on that at the end of this chapter. But the chapters now might have some jumps in them or I might not mention every event in detail. Sorry if you hate me for it! :( I just want to get some moments in there but some I'm not sure how to write and so on. Plus writing the in between of the events could just end up with me babbling and being really bad.

Miranda Lambert - House that built me

"Okay, I'll meet you out there," Jacob chuckled and ran outside. The heavy rain made it hard for me to see him as he ran through it.

I quickly turned all the lights off in vampire speed, all around the house and took in every inch of it. Only when I had one lamp left I began walking in human speed.

With heavy steps I walked down the stairs and admired the beautiful lamp hanging on the wall next to the entrance. I placed my finger on the on/off button and took a deep breath.

"Here I come Forks," I sighed and turned it off.

I skipped down the steps of the house and I gracefully avoided the puddle of water in the grass. With a deep breath I looked up and saw my parents standing under an umbrella.

"Mom, dad," I stuttered. I didn't think mom would have the strength to come and say goodbye considering I was going to Forks.

"I just needed to say some things before you leave," mom mumbled and walked from underneath to umbrella to the porch where the roof protected us from the rain. She took my hands in hers and took a deep breath.

"Mom you don't have to," I insisted and she shook her head.

"I'm fine with you going to Forks," she exhaled. "But there are a few things you need to promise me."

"Anything," I said and let her know she had my full attention.

"Promise me to.. not look up anyone, don't talk to people around there too much and don't go see my gravestone," she blurred out in a hurry. I could almost feel how mixed her thoughts and emotions were.

"Anything else?" I coaxed her.

"Yes," she took another deep breath and looked deep into my eyes. "..come home."

Her words hit me like a truck. 'Come home,' echoed over and over again. Would it be tempting to stay? She must think so.. and mom is always right, right?

Doubt began to rumble inside me as she placed her hand on my cheek.

"I promise to come home, mom." I smiled and placed my hand on hers. "I will be home before you know it."

"I will be counting the hours," she hid her sadness with a smile. She inhaled quickly to hide the fact that she was beginning to cry.

The car honked and I smiled at mom.

"I have to go now," I said gently and looked at dad. "A goodbye hug?"

He smiled softly and hugged us both. I stood there, safe in my parents marble arms, and can't help but think back to the last time we all hugged like this. I think it was the first time the Volturi came to Forks. At the battle.

"Don't worry," my dad whispered to me. "..Jacob will keep you safe." He grinned as the hug stopped.

"Thanks dad," I chuckled and gave them both individual hugs and kisses before I ran to the car.

Okay Forks. HERE I come.

...

The plane ride here, the time spent in the car, the time we wasted on stopping at every gas station because the boys wanted to eat something AGAIN.. it wasn't enough. I needed more time. My mind was in inner turmoil as it crawled on the walls of the car. I was clasping my hand tightly around my thigh as if I was afraid or in pain.

Here it comes

"The city of Forks," Jacob happily exhaled as we passed the sign. He snaked his hand into mine and lovingly shook it. "..we are home, baby."

I exhaled with a smile and looked up at him from under my hair. I could tell he was holding back a huge grin.. or maybe even a howl.

"I would love to run in these forests again," he moaned and quickly threw his head back at my thought. I pulled out of his grip and he laughed.

"It's my mind!" I mumbled to him and blushed. "..you have yours. Let me have mine."

"I like being inside you.." he whispered to me and I tensed up with a death stare on him. "..your mind I mean."

"Nice save," I looked back at the kids as they were sleeping. "..if they had been awake you would have been in big trouble, Jacob Black."

"Seth was probably boring them out," Jacob sighed and looked at Seth in the rearview mirror. "..and himself apparently."

"Is he sleeping too?" I chuckled and Jacob nodded.

Finally when the mood had been lifted, Alice swirved past us and brought out the competetiveness in Jacob. He put the gas in full power and almost woke the kids up. It only created more stress and anger in me. But the faster we get there, the sooner it's over.

Jacob successfully woke up Seth who in his turn woke up the kids. So they kept hollering in excitement the whole way there.

As the car slowly approached the house I had grown up in I cleanched onto the seat and refused to look up. I slightly quivered as the familiar sound of leafs hitting against the window eachoed in my head. Like all those times before. Without even thinking my finger pressed the button and the window came down.

I closed my eyes and leaned my head back to really take in the smell. The forest, house, dirt and flowers filled my mind and brought calm to my insane moment of fear. Like waves calm rushed through my body and wrapped around my core.

Without a doubt I opened my eyes as the car stopped and looked at Sarah in the rearview mirror. She looked conearned until I smiled at her.

Thank you honey, I thought to her and she lit up with a smile.

"Okay kids, we are here!" Jacob exclaimed and with those words I checked out.

We are here.

I opened the door and got out in vampire speed but never let go of the door. I wasn't ready to 'fully' be here. But it was exactly as when we left it. It is a large, graceful house, rectangular and well-proportioned, painted a faded white. The southern wall is almost entirely made of glass. My home. Covered in beautiful snow.

I let my hand slide of the car as I broke out in a smile.

"It's just like I remember it," I murmured into thin air and walked up to the porch, letting my hand slide along everything that passed me. A tingle went through me and I leaned my head back, letting the air run through my lungs as I took a deep breath in. I could smell the trees, grass, flowers and bushed around us, the animals which teased me, the rubber from the car tires and even the old smell from our house back home colliding with the familiar Fork's heavenly and comforting wind.

"Be careful with that bag, Seth!" I heard Jacob tell Seth as they unloaded the car together.

"Careful Seth!" Anthony repeated as he still sat in his seat and playing with Sarah and her toys.

Seth quickly came up beside me with a bag in each hand and gave me a strange look instead of walking inside.

"What?" I asked him.

"The key," he chuckled and gestured to the door.

"Oh," I mumbled and began to fish it out of my pocket. I quickly unlocked the door and held the door open for him.

"Thanks," he smiled and placed the bags in the hallway before he ran down for more. Jacob handed him some and I just kicked off my shoes and ran into the living room. Alice was already inside, lighting the open fireplace with a smile when I came in.

"You work fast!" I chuckled.

"Always try too," she smiled and stood up. "I'll get the kids. Their bedrooms are upstairs, already furnished and ready for them just in case you were wondering."

"Why am I even surprised?" I chuckled as she walked into the hallway. I followed a little bit and saw Seth coming in with even more bags. I waited until she came with the kids in hand and I got them into my arms. They were eager to look around and see everything and while the others got the bags in and unpacked a bit I took them around the house. They both loved Carlisle's office. It looked like the library out of Beauty and The Beast said Sarah. Alice took over the kids and brought them out into the forest while Jacob and I unpacked the last of our things. We had gotten my dads old bedroom and the kids room was right across the hallway.

When I least expected it Jacob picked me up and threw me down on the bed. With a squeal of surprise I sat up in the bed and laughed. He quickly climbed into bed and sat down in front of me, letting his hands cup my face and bring it closer to his for a kiss.

"You seem happy," I mumbled against his lips.

"I am," he chuckled and laid my back down on the bed. I could feel that he was in the mood but this really couldn't be a worse time. But my body still said something else..

"Jacob," I breathed heavily as he began to kiss my neck.

"Mhmm," he mumbled and cupped my breast.

"Let's not," I said gently and grabbed his hand to pull it away. He gave me a concerned look.

"Did I do something wrong?" he asked softly.

"No," I chuckled and stroked his face. "..it's just that the kids will be back soon and we have to make dinner until then and spend some more time with them."

"Oh," he mumbled and began to pull away. "Yeah, of course."

"Don't pout," I chuckled and got out of bed. "We have all night."

"Okay!" he happily exclaimed and sat up. "All night sounds good."

I could just hear the kids approaching the house again when Jacob hugged me in an attempt to rekindle the moment of lust we had. But instead I pushed him away with a kind chuckle and ran downstair to greet the kids. Jacob quickly followed and greeted them with me.

"Hello darlings!" I exclaimed with my arms open to scoop them up. They ran towards me with smiles plastered on their face.

"MOMMY I SAW A SQUIRREL!" Anthony told me as I began to carry them into the kitchen without even giving anyone else a look. I'm just in another world when I have them around. A better world.

"You did? Did you see it too?" I asked Sarah and she nodded. I put them down on the counter in the middle and began to take their dirty shoes off. Jacob came in after me and I handed him the mud covered shoes.

"It was cute!" Anthony chuckled as I took off their coats.

Alice came into the kitchen with her arms full of clothes.

"Time for pajamas!" she smiled and helped me put them on. Anthony's pajamas was covered in little wolves and Sarah's had little butterflies on them.

"You guys look so cute!" I sighed at the sight and hugged them both. "Say thank you to Alice for getting you such pretty things all the time."

"Thank you Alice!" They both exclaimed and walked over the counter to hug her.

"Oh, no problem darlings!" she chuckled. "Now I have to run but you two better be nice to your parents!"

"Promise," they said and sat down on the counter again.

"Where are you going?" I asked her.

"I need to hunt," she sighed and hugged me. "Wish I could just spend every moment decorating and painting."

"Of course you do," I laughed as she walked out. I leaned on the counter as Jacob came back into the room and yawned as he hugged the kids.

"Now you two have to tell me everything that you did in the forest," he smiled to them.

"OH OKAY!" Anthony exclaimed and began to babble on as I began making dinner. He kept going and going and Sarah jumped in here and there. As Anthony kept talking about pinecones I started to detect a small obsession with them. He was so fascinated by how he could smell that they had been somewhere else and wanted to know where those places were but Alice didn't let him go and look for them. Thank God for that!

Dinner went by fast, the kids and Jacob were both starving and threw down the food. We all helped out cleaning up the kitchen and the kids both fell asleep on the couch as Jacob read them a bedtime story. We carried them upstairs to their beds and they let out small murmurs of affection as we said goodnight. I let a nightlight be on before we left the room and got into our own again.

We both sighed and laid down on the bed.

"It's been a big day today," Jacob yawned and curled me up in his arms.

"It sure has," I yawned with him. "..and another big day tomorrow."

"Yeah. Guess so," he sighed and kissed the top of my head.

Maybe I shouldn't have said that, I sighed to myself. Reminding him of the funeral is just unnecessary. But we both need to face facts. Because this trip is full of events. A funeral, Christmas and a wedding on new years eve.

Holy moly.

We sure have some up and downs coming our way.

Can you believe it? I'm alive!

I'm really so sorry that I haven't updated. I've tried to write some chapters this time but haven't been happy with them. I've been to hard on myself and not been able to upload them because I've strived for perfection.. which just isn't me! lol.

Anyways, I will not give up on a story completely so don't worry. I might be gone but I will be back. I've just had so much work, homework and been on vacation this summer. Been super busy so I'm so sorry! :( Hope you forgive me.. Anyways I was thinking about not really writing the funeral in detail, just go over it more or less. Hope you guys will be okay with that. And sorry for the mellow chapter. Just felt like getting settled back in again.
