Title: Looking Forward

Pairing: China x Liechtenstein

"Sisia..." Yao hesitated, face heating up, then dropped to one knee. "Will you... Marry me?"

Sisia gasped, putting her hands over her mouth. "Yao... I..." She slowly lowered herself down in front of Yao, then reached out and cupped his face in her hands, leaning forward to kiss him.

"I mean, I know we've only been dating for two years," Yao babbled nervously. "I-if it seems to early, that's okay."

"No, Yao... Of course I'll marry you."

Yao looked up, meeting her green eyes with his own brown ones. He was relieved to see that her eyes were as filled up with tears as his own.

"Thank goodness," he breathed.

They were to get married immediately.

The night before the wedding, as Yao lay in bed, holding Sisia, he remembered the events that had happened in the two years since Yao and Sisia started dating: Yao's parents had, at first, staunchly disapproved of their relationship, but once they saw that they wouldn't be split apart, they gave up and just let them be. Also, they posed no threat to Xiang and Emillia's relationship, which was a huge relief to most of the family.

In fact, soon Sisia and Emillia were treated as part of their family, which was very exciting for everyone, and also incredibly unbelievable.

He remembered all the family outings they'd had, with his family and Sisia's brother, or with Emillia's family, or with all of their families together.

Sisia sighed in her sleep, moving closer to him, and suddenly he was filled with worries. What if he was a bad husband? What if he became abusive, or what if he was controlling, or what if Sisia stopped liking him and they divorced, or what if- No. He wouldn't think about this. He would be good to Sisia- how could he not? He loved her. He loved her so much it filled up his entire being. He loved her so much that sometimes he felt like he had too much love inside of him, and so he had to wildly jump around just to try and get rid of some of the excess.

He tried to do that- the jumping around -as little as possible, but sometimes he just had to.

He would be a good husband, and she would be a good wife, and they would be a good, happy family.

He remembered Xiang and Cheng telling him one day, as they worked in the kitchen, that they had thought that he was asexual until he met Sisia. The thought made him smile. It was true that most other people hadn't made much of an impression on him until her.

He also remembered how Mei always teased him about Sisia. He also remembered hearing Mei tease Xiang about Emillia, and he remembered how Emillia and Xiang would smile at each other when they thought that no one was looking.

He remembered how Vash had taken him aside one day and told him that Sisia had never been as happy as she was now, and how he was so happy that she and Yao had met. Vash said that he'd always tried so hard to make Sisia as happy as she was now, but he had never managed it as well as Yao had.

Yao was incredibly nervous about the wedding tomorrow, but thinking about all of these things he made him feel better. He knew that Xiang- Cheng- Mei- Vash- Emillia- his family- were all with him, supporting him from behind. He knew that he wouldn't be alone. Sisia would be with him, every day from tomorrow until forever.

Finally, he managed to fall asleep.

The next morning, everything started too early and happened too fast.

First, the women had come and grabbed Sisia, taking her off to get dressed. They had left him with his brothers and Vash, and they had all had to figure out how to put his suit on.

The wedding was scheduled for ten in the morning, and so it was a good thing that everything was ready by then, otherwise the wedding would have been ruined, because Sisia was having a terrible case of wedding blues.

"I can't do this," she gasped suddenly as Xiao- Yao's mother -was putting up her hair. "I... I can't do this. What if this is a mistake? What if I do something to make Yao mad, and he leaves me? What if-"

"Shh..." Xiao whispered, moving all of Sisia's hair to rest across one shoulder. "Everything will be fine. It's true that Yao used to be very strict before he met you, but he's softened up a lot. He's happier now, and more social, and I know you'll be good for each other. If it makes you feel any better... I felt just like this when I married Yao's father," she admitted. She turned Sisia around and kissed her on the forehead.

"Everything will be okay."

Walking down the aisle was the most perfect experience Sisia ever had- not the most perfect she would ever have, but the most perfect she had had yet. Everything was white, and soft music was playing, and peace and joy radiated throughout her body. The most perfect part of it all was seeing Yao waiting for her at the end of the aisle.

Once she reached him, the judge pronounced them, and then they kissed, and it was one of the most magical kisses they had ever shared. It was perfect and lovely and somehow not embarrassing at all- or at least, not embarrassing enough to deter them.

After the wedding ceremony, there was a reception that was wonderful and perfect and some of the most fun Sisia had had in her life, and then she and Yao had their honeymoon in the Seychelles islands, which was perfect and lovely and beautiful.

But even though everything that happened was lovely and she missed it as soon as it was gone, she was still looking forward to the rest of her life with Yao, and all the good times they would have.
