Title: Movie Night
Pairing: South Italy x North italy
Rating: K+ to T I guess
"Ve... Sorella, will you watch a movie with me?" Alice asked quietly- almost timidly, really. It was no wonder why. The girl she was talking to- her sister -was going through some troubles with her boyfriend, and so was generally super pissed off all the time.
"No," said Chiara flatly. She was currently making herself an espresso, watching as the burner on the stove heated up red underneath the espresso-maker before turning back to a dark gray.
"Pleeeeeeeeeeeease...?" Alice asked again. "We can watch 'Waiting Forever...'"
Chiara hesitated, both at the pleading tone in her treasured younger sister's voice and at the movie. Damn Alice! She knew how much Chiara liked that movie, and she was using it against her!
"Maybe- Maybe -" Chiara stressed the second "maybe," since her sister was already smiling hugely, "...once my coffee is ready."
"Yaaaaay!" Alice cried, jumping forward to wrap her arms around her older sister. "Grazie, grazie! I'll go put the movie in~!" And off she flew from the room, causing the sunlight to seem sunnier just because she was happy.
"Damn her," Chiara muttered to herself, turning back to her coffee. Her face belied what she had said, though; her cheeks were dusted a light red. She was taken in by Alice's charm and cuteness, as she always had been and probably always would be.
When the coffee was finally done, Chiara was alerted by the splash and sizzle of drops of it falling onto the red-hot burner. She quickly grabbed the small handle on the back of the espresso-maker and tipping her small portion of extremely strong coffee into a large mug that she quickly filled to the brim with warm milk she had also been boiling, on the same burner as the espresso-maker.
She grabbed a spoon and stirred the concoction, then took a sip, sighing happily. She took her coffee with just milk and no sugar, but even so, it was delicious. It spread warmth through her like it was going through the trunk of a tree; she could practically feel tiny branches inside of her, spreading out from her torso and into her limbs. She hadn't realized she was so cold until she finally warmed up, and now little shivers ran through her, sloshing her coffee around in its mug. She quickly sipped some more of it so that it wouldn't spill, then made her way to the darkened den, where Alice was waiting on the couch, wrapped in a warm cocoon of blankets.
"Let me in," Chiara half-commanded, half-requested.
"Sure," Alice immediately obliged. She unwrapped some of the blankets from around herself as Chiara set her mug on the coffee table, then snuggled into the blankets next to her younger sister. She brushed some of Alice's hair- which was down -behind her shoulder, and fondly recalled how most people thought that they were twins, though they were two years apart. They looked exactly alike, though Alice's hair was lighter and always tied up, and her eyes were a light caramel color. Chiara had always secretly thought that she had gotten the better features; Chiara, with her dark, almost black curly hair and her plain hazel eyes, was like the shadowed undertone to Alice's main color on the Vargas color scheme.
With the blankets safely wrapped around the two sisters, Alice used the remote to start the movie. Chiara leaned forward, trying not to disturb the blankets too much, and grabbed her coffee, wrapping her hands around the warm mug. She was shivering in earnest now, eyes glued to the TV screen and mouth glued to the rim of her mug. She loved this movie, holy fuck. It was so sweet. It was about these two people who had known each other as kids, but then his parents had died and he'd moved away. She had become an actress in a soap opera, and he had been... well, stalking her ever since he had realized it was her.
...Yeah, it sounded kind of weird, but in all honesty it's the sweetest thing ever. So there.
Alice and Chiara loved it. It was their go-to movie when one or the other of them was feeling sad. Like when their grandma was away on a business trip and the night just seemed too dark to go to sleep, they would both meet downstairs and watch it. It seemed kind of lame, now that Chiara thought about it, but it was just one of those things that sisters do.
"Can I have a sip of your coffee?" Alice asked quietly, eyes still glued to the screen. Important stuff was happening. Like when the guy was threatening to cling on to the girl's leg forever.
"Sure," Chiara said, quickly passing the mug over. Alice wrapped her hands around it, breathing in its warm scent. She didn't really like to drink coffee, but it smelled nice, and it was warm.
Chiara reached out awkwardly, trapped down a little by the blankets, but managed to wrap her arm around her sister's shoulders, cuddling in closer. She placed a kiss to the side of her sister's head.
"I love you," Alice said in a small voice, mouth pressed against the coffee cup.
Chiara felt her cheeks heat up. "You're stupid," she said in return, which was as close as she could bring herself to saying anything close to "I love you."
"I know."
Alice cuddled closer to her older sister, resting her head on her shoulder. "Don't worry about Antonio," she said, bringing up Chiara's boyfriend for the first time in forever. "It'll all go back to normal."
Chiara sighed, resting her head on her sister's. "If you say so." She sighed. "I just don't know about him anymore."
"Well, you always have me, sorella."
Chiara rolled her eyes, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "You're not really my type, Alice, but thanks anyway."
"Okay." Alice said. She yawned quietly, and Chiara heard her breathing start to slow as she fell asleep. Chiara brushed the hair out of her sister's face, then grinned.
Stupid little sisters.

A/N So Viva is at school and I have the day off from school and so my friend Lily (aka Jywy) edited this one so yeah. That's all.
Also, I felt that I should explain the espresso machine...? I dunno how most people make espresso, but my Italian family uses these little things where water goes into this container in the bottom and there's a filter between that and then coffee grounds and the water boils up into another container and then coffee. So that's all.
This was requested by Tak Dragon! Thanks for the yuri! X3
