"Lili," Switzerland said to his sister, grabbing her by the shoulders to look her in the eyes. "I'm going out with Austria for a while. Hungary will take you home to her house, okay? Just walk around and find her."

Liechtenstein- or Lili, to humans -nodded. "Of course, big bruder," she said softly. "Do you know where Miss Eliza is?"

"I'm pretty sure I saw her by Germany's bathroom." Switzerland leaned forward and placed a kiss to his sister's forehead. "Oh, and stay away from those Italy brothers, okay?"

She nodded. "Of course." She didn't want to talk to those brothers anyway. They were weird, and one time she had walked in on Germany and North Italy kissing in the bathroom during a World Meeting. It had made her heart race peculiarly, and she had thought that she was coming down with a fever for the longest time.

She didn't really know anything about that South Italy though, but she figured he was more or less the same. He didn't talk as much, though, and he was always glaring at everyone, and whenever Spain met his eyes his face turned really red. Lili felt her heart squeeze at the thought of his face, but she pushed the feeling away.

Lili watched her bruder walk down the hall away from her, then turned and walked in the other direction, trying to remember where the bathroom was. She didn't like Germany's house. It was big and plain and everything was neatly ordered. There were no strange little things that could help you get around the place without getting lost. Everything was identical and matched all the other furniture.

Turning a corner too fast, she bumped right into someone. She nearly fell backward, but their arms flew out quickly and grabbed her just before she did. Looking up, she found that it was South Italy who was steadying her. She wanted to pull away, but she was distracted by the dark red that was smearing across his cheeks.

"I-I'm sorry," he said. "I didn't see you there…" He coughed, looking away, and when he looked back his face was no longer red, but darkly tanned.

"Can I help you?" he asked, and this time his voice was smooth like the wine her brother had let her try once.

"Oh, no no," she said. "No, I'm okay. I was just looking for Miss Hungary. She's going to take me to her house today because my big bruder is going out with Austria. Big bruder said he saw her by the bathroom."

He sniggered, and she blinked at him in confusion.

"Why are you laughing?" she asked.

He cleared his throat. "Oh, no reason. Just don't expect your 'bruder' back for at least a couple hours."

She stared at him, not understanding, and he felt a bit guilty. He supposed that not all fourteen-year-olds were as sexually knowledgeable as he had been. Of course, not every fourteen-year-old had been raised by a stupid Spaniard… He scowled.

Lili blinked. Romano's face was turning red again. She wondered why it did that? Did it get warmer when that happened? She wanted to touch it and find out, but that would be very rude.

"Anyway," he said, clearing his throat once more. "Would you like me to help you find Hungary? I think I know where the bathroom is."

She stared at him for a moment, then nodded, blinking her wide green eyes. Maybe he wasn't as bad as her big brother had made him seem…?

He turned and started walking, then sighed, came back over to her, and grabbed her hand. He dragged her along with him, and she felt her face grow warm. She had never really held hands with anyone who wasn't her older brother…

His hand was warm in hers, and soft, and a lot bigger than hers- bigger than she would have expected. It covered her hand almost completely. She suddenly realized how small she was compared to him. Sure, she was a centuries-old country just as he was, but she looked to be about fourteen and he looked to be in his twenties. He looked like ten years older than her!

And he was taller than she was, too. He was even a bit taller than her brother. And he was only half of Italy… Suddenly she was glad Italy wasn't just one person, like most of the other countries.

He led her down the hall, peering into unlocked doors and staring anxiously at the ones that were locked. Finally, they found the bathroom, which had been pointed out by a sign that said Bathroom on it.

"She's not here!" Romano grumbled, finally letting go of her hand. He turned to her and sighed. "Ugh, sorry Lili. Do you want me to keep helping you look, or should I just go away?"

She shook her head wildly, the bow in her hair flailing all over the place. "Oh no, Mister Romano, you're being very helpful." She smiled sweetly at him, and his face turned red once more.

"U-um, okay… I guess…" He pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Maybe I have her number and can text her or something."

"Okay," she said easily, leaning against the wall. She played with the skirt of her dress, swishing it around over her bright white socks. She looked back up at him as he swore. "What is it?"

"I don't have her number." He looked reluctant. "I'll… have to text Spain and get it…" He sighed.

"Oh no, you don't have to," she instantly said. "Not if you don't want to, really. I'll find her eventually."

His jaw set stubbornly. "No way! I promised I'd help you find her, and so I will. I keep my promises- unlike stupid Spanish bastards…" He scowled.

He dialed a number on his phone, grumbling to himself until Spain picked up. Instantly, he started in with what sounded like an angry rant in Spanish, gesticulating wildly. Lili watched him with wide eyes. Big bruder was always so composed on the phone, keeping his body very still and never gesturing. Romano didn't seem to realize that the person on the other end couldn't see him, even going so far as to flip off the screen once or twice.

Finally, he hung up the phone. "Spain says that Hungary's waiting by the front door for you. C'mon, I'll take you over." He grabbed her hand once more and began pulling her along, and she suddenly realized that he was treating her very much as if she was a small child that needed taking care of. Usually, she didn't mind being treated like that, but now she wanted to be treated like an adult! Or at least a teenager…

She squeezed his hand more tightly in hers, then stopped walking. He turned to her as she halted, looking back at her in confusion.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Will you kiss me?"

He stared at her, mouth dropping open. "Wh-what? Why?"

She smiled. "Just because, I guess… I've never been kissed before, is all."

"Well then why in fuck- I mean, in hell… I mean…" He flailed around a bit, face growing redder and redder with every passing moment. "Why in heck would you want me to kiss you?"

She shifted a bit, grabbing the front of her dress in her hands and looking down at the ground. "You're… you're very nice to me."

"Th-that's no reason to kiss someone!"

"Isn't it though? ...Mister Romano, why would you kiss someone?"

He stuttered for a moment, mostly saying "um" and "ah" and "er." She bit the inside of her cheek to keep from smiling at his embarrassment. He was kind of cute when he was flustered like that.

"I… I would kiss someone… B-because I love them. I guess."

"Have you kissed someone before?"

His face grew even redder. "Um… Um… I guess that I-I have-"

"Did you love them?"

"Um…" He looked around, as if wanting someone to jump in and save him, then straightened up and said, "Yes, yes I did. You should only kiss someone if you love them a lot, okay?"

She smiled slyly at him. "But what if I love you a lot?"

He hesitated, then said, "Then you could kiss me, I guess…"

"Will you kiss me?" she asked, looking hopefully up at him.

"I… I…" He looked uncertain for a moment, then sighed. "Okay, fine, but… only on the cheek."

She jerked her head up so fast she was afraid it might fall off. "Really? You'll kiss me?"

He nodded. "Yeah, yeah… I guess…" He leaned forward and grabbed her shoulders, then placed a kiss on her cheek. "There, is that good?"

Blushing, she nodded, staring at him breathlessly. "That was my first kiss from someone who isn't my brother."

He looked away. "W-well, that's great then. Come on, let's find Hungary."

He grabbed her hand once more, and she smiled. Maybe her brother wasn't right about everything...

A/N Okay, story time about my little baby cousin (born the day after my birthday, she's not yet a year old /): One time her mom fed her watermelon, right, and she had to just hold it in little Alessia's mouth because every time she took it out Lessi started screaming and her little scrunchy face turned as red as a tomato and it was literally the best thing I have ever seen. XD So basically I am proving all S. Italian stereotypes true.

Also, I just found two Italian songs called "Bella Stronza" (Beautiful Bitch) and "Vaffanculo" (Fuck you).

*flails* Goshdarnit Emma, keep this up and you'll kill the editor!

That's the plan… e.O
