Today must have been the longest day in the history of school days. The day lasted forever. That may be a little

exaggerated... My friends we're glad to see me. So was Mr. Saltzman; which was kind of weird, in a way. But my day

was pretty much boring.

I walked down the hall to my locker. I laughed a little when I got there. Someone had decorated my locker with

streamers and ribbons and bows, the whole nine yards. It was probably Caroline. I opened my locker and shoved my

stuff in, grabbed my bag and closed it back up again. Déjà vu moment, I screamed but covered my mouth to stop it.

Stefan was standing right beside my locker. He laughed; "Sorry I scared you, Elena. I was just making sure Damon

wasn't here bothering you." He half smiled. It was kind of cute the way he did it. The way the right corner of his mouth

tilted upwards just the slightest bit more than the left. "Elena! Stop, you don't even know him." I thought then smiled.

"Thank you Stefan. I really appreciate it. But the only thing I have to worry about is him at my house again…" I

stopped myself. "You went too far." This made him frown; "I'll talk to him about it tonight then." He said, "How about I

walk you home?" I smiled and nodded.
