Sooooo... is like anyone gonna do the Best Sisters Grimm Story of 2013 contest thingy again this year?
Mama: Hmm, interesting choice of name... Yes, Sabrina is an idiot but I don't think she's ever described as fat, Tony is a huge liar, & Puck is amazing as always.
Bookworm: =O How can you nawt love Puck in that way?! That's OK, as long as things are fine with your family. :]
Weirdness101: Thanks & this chapter says what happens next! =)
Chapter 17
"Brina?"
Sabrina looked up from the book she was reading.
Basil stood at the doorway of her room and looked at her shyly.
"Yeah?" Sabrina answered.
"Will you read to me?" Basil took out a book from behind his back.
"Um... sure?"
Basil beamed and ran to jump into her bed. He snuggled up next to her and handed her the book.
A blue train with a creepy happy face was on the cover. The title was in big letters: Thomas.
Sabrina almost groaned out loud.
"You use to read me Thomas all the time," Basil said sadly.
Sabrina bit her lip and opened the book. She began to read to him.
Basil interrupted Sabrina to tell her that she wasn't doing the voices like she use to.
"Um, how do they sound?" Sabrina asked.
Basil tried to mimic the voices which only made Sabrina laugh.
"What?" Basil asked confused.
Sabrina smiled at him and shook her head. "Nothing, Basil, you're just really good at mimicking me."
Basil beamed again.
Sabrina continued reading the book and did her best to do the voices like Basil insisted.
When she finished Basil leaned over and gave her a wet kiss on the check.
Sabrina's eyes widened.
"I love you, Brina," Basil said quietly. "Do you love me?"
Sabrina slammed the book shut and handed it to him. "Yes, Basil, I think I do."
Basil beamed and wrapped his arms around her in a hug.
Sabrina hugged him back and kissed the top of his head.
"Sabrina, have you seen-" Daphne stopped and stared.
"Brina read to me!" Basil told her happily.
"Oh," Daphne said quietly. "That's great." She smiled at him.
"Daph, Basil's not in any of his hiding pl-" Red saw them.
"He came in here and asked me to read to him," Sabrina told her.
Red gave her a shaky smile and looked at Basil. "C'mon, Basil, you have to take your nap!"
"Aw, Red!" Basil whined. "I wanna stay with Brina!"
Sabrina bit her lip again. "I'll read you another book after your nap."
Daphne and Red looked at Sabrina in surprise.
"You pinkie promise?" Basil asked and held up his tiny pinkie.
"I pinkie promise," Sabrina replied and hooked her pinkie around his.
Basil leaned over and gave her another wet kiss on the cheek.
"C'mon, Basil," Red said and walked over to pick him up. "You'll get grouchy if you don't take your nap."
They left, leaving Sabrina and Daphne alone.
Daphne studied her carefully.
Sabrina stared back.
Daphne went cross-eyed.
Sabrina let out a laugh.
Daphne smiled and put her eyes back to normal. "Do you remember anything yet?" she asked.
Sabrina closed her eyes and leaned back so her head was against the wall. "Yes."
Daphne bit her palm excitedly. "What did you remember?"
"Basil."
"I knew you would remember him first!" Daphne squealed and danced out of the room humming some Disney song.
Sabrina opened her eyes and sighed.
"I knew it would work."
Sabrina jumped and looked at Puck. "Don't do that!" she said and frowned at him.
Puck smirked and leaned against the door.
"How did you know what would work?" Sabrina asked.
"I knew sending Basil in here would make you remember something!" Puck answered.
"You told my little brother to come in here and ask for a story when he was suppose to be napping?"
Puck's eyes shone. "Your little brother."
Sabrina sighed and opened up her book again. "Bye, Puck," she said.
Puck frowned. "Bye." He closed the door after him.
Sabrina sighed and put her book down again.
When Tony came back Sabrina wouldn't be going with him.
