Discloser: Not mine

Warning: Child abuse, and some swearing. I think the chapter is still T but I'll give a brief summary at the end if you wish to skip this chapter.

Caeli laughed at Dean as she got out of the Impala. Dean tried to look annoyed but quickly gave up and pulled Caeli to side.

"What do you think we'll find at the Roadhouse?" Caeli asked.

"Maybe a job, hopefully free pie and definitely grumpy old hunters."

"Sounds… enticing." Caeli laughed and bowed as she ceremoniously opened one of the doors for the boys to pas through. Smiling, Caeli began to follow behind Dean when suddenly she jerked back outside, letting the door slam shut. Dean hurried back outside and found Caeli crouched on the ground behind the Impala. She was completely white, like she'd seen a ghost, and looked like she was going to pass out, throw up, or both.

"Caeli, what's wrong?" Dean's voice was full of concern as he sat down next to Caeli and pulled her close. Caeli leaned into Dean's embrace and he could feel her shaking against him. Dean looked down at Caeli, who had her face buried into his chest; he gently stroked her hair and rested his cheek against her head. Dean suddenly realized that his shirt was damp and pulled away from Caeli, holding her at arms length, and saw that she was crying.

"Caeli…" it was hardly audible but the depth of emotion it held caused Caeli to cry even harder. Dean hurriedly wrapped her in his arms, trying to protect and comfort her from whatever was causing her so much pain. After a few minutes Dean loosened his hold and looked down at Caeli who had stopped crying.

"Sorry," she mumbled, looking at the spot her tears had made on his shirt.

"It's fine," Dean reassured, trying to get Caeli to make eye contact with him, "what's going on?" Caeli stared at his chest and played with the corner of his shirt.

"I don't really want to talk about it." Caeli whispered. Dean stared at her and usually, if it was anybody else, he would have said okay and moved on, but he was worried and had never seen Caeli so shaken.

"I think you should." Dean said and gently took her hands off his shirt and placed them both in one of his. Dean used his other hand to gently lift her chin until she was looking at him. Caeli searched Dean's eyes and found only love and concern.

"When I was two my dad died and it was just me and my mom. I knew nothing about monsters or hunting, my mom didn't want me to have that life. I learned what's really out there when I was about six. My mom had a boyfriend named Toby, and he was a hunter and he tried to get my mom to get back into the life. He introduced me to it as well, and took pride in making me a ruthless killer. He was a normal guy at first, just wanted to hunt. He lived with us and after my mom refused his third proposal things started to change. I walked in on them fighting on day and I could tell he was about to hit her but my presence stopped him. Later I told him that if he ever thought about hurting my mother again I'd kill him, and I would've. So, he beat me instead. My mom never knew because he never hit me where the bruises would show, and I never told her. He continued to take me out on more and more dangerous hunts but my grades were never allowed to drop and I couldn't have friends. When I was eleven he started "family hunt Friday's" to try and help us "bond". My mom hated it, so they were usually both hammered and I had to fight whatever we were facing on my own and make sure they didn't get themselves killed. When I was thirteen we were on another "family" hunt and Toby had us trailing after four vampires that were headed back to their nest. We were in the sewer and they were both completely drunk as usual, when the vampires suddenly showed up in the tunnels surrounding us. I took down two easily and was taking my time to get back to them when I heard my mother scream. I ran back and killed the vampire sucking at her neck, but she had already lost too much blood and was dead. It was awful, I couldn't believe I had let my other die. If I had just ran back instead of walked I know she would have lived. I was sitting in the sewer with my mother's head in my lap, hysterical, when Toby returned. He saw my mother and promptly took his machete and stabbed me in the stomach. He beat me away from my mother's body, literally kicked me to the side and went back to cry over my mother's body. When I felt conscious enough to move, I crawled out of the sewer and I was almost dead when Bobby found me trying to kill the nest that the vampire who killed my mother belonged to. After that Bobby beat some sense into my heads and I would stay at his place off and on until I started college at sixteen. When I was eighteen I started to try and cut off my ties from the hunting world but it didn't work. I felt guilty about not doing anything about the evil I knew was out there and I could stop. So I was a normal college student during the day and hunter at night. So since thirteen I've been on my own and shied from men afraid to run into freakin' Toby. To this day, after everything I've seen as a hunter, Toby is the only thing I am truly terrified of. But I guess I now also have the fear of losing you." Caeli flushed with a weak smile, her cheeks glistening from the previously shed tears. Dean pulled her tight against him and processed all that he had just heard.

"Wait a second," Dean said slowly, "Toby is in there? Did you see him?!"

Caeli could only weakly nod her head in response. Dean clenched his fists, resisting the urge to run in and beat the shit out of the guy. Slowly he thought of what the best plan of action was.

"Caeli I hate to say it but we have to go inside, Jo and Ellen are expecting me now that Sam's walked in. Point him out to me then go back and wait in the car. I'll go in and talk to Ellen and have his sorry ass escorted out, then come get you when the cost is clear." Caeli looked skeptically at the entrance to the Roadhouse and then back at Dean, slowly shaking her head.

"Do you trust me?" Dean asked, eyes locked onto Caeli's as he offered his hand to help her up. Caeli took a shaky breath and looked at the door one more time.

"Yes."

Dean cautiously pushed the door open, an arm securely wrapped around Caeli's waist, as she stood uncertainly at his side.

"He's not where he was before. I don't see him, I think he's gone." Caeli whispered in amazement. Dean smiled and carefully maneuvered them through the crowed bar of hunters to the dark secluded spot he and Sam always sat at. Dean noticed an additional shadow sitting across from Sam and wondered who it was. Sam spotted them and waved them over. The person hidden in the shadow turned to see whom Sam was waving to and light spilled across his face. Caeli stopped instantly, almost tripping Dean as she jerked back towards the door. Dean instantly knew who it was. He placed himself in front of Caeli, dragging her behind him. He stopped a short distance away, on the opposite side of Toby, keeping as much of Caeli as hidden as possible.

"Hey Dean, this guy is hunting the same thing we are so I told him we could work together. Seeing as we know nothing about it and he's come across one before. He thinks it might be the same one he tracked thirty years ago." Sam said, not noticing the tension surrounding his brother. Dean just continued to glared at the man in front of him as he smiled casually back.

"Toby," Dean spat bitterly, "get the fuck away from my brother and out that door before I lose what little restraint I have a beat your ass." Toby looked surprised but then noticed Caeli frozen behind Dean. His lips curled into a cruel smile.

"Hello Caeli."

A/N: So those who chose to skip, all you have to know is that Caeli's mother's boyfriend, when she was younger, use to beat her and almost killed her and has now reappeared and Sam foolishly joined with him to work on their new hunt. Hope this wasn't too horrific for those of you that did read. So… yeah. We'll have to wait and see what happens! As always please read and review. Let, me know of any mistakes. Have some ice cream!
